autumn_snow_genesis #23: I agree with your observations. Around the World With 80 Dollars hasn't been the most exciting nor promising album. The only songs I actually enjoy listening to even with an open mind are: I Really Want to Love Him, You're the Bravest, and Gillian's solo, What Day is Today. Though, Gillian's solo's melody isn't as catchy but the solo immediately becomes quite addictive when Gillian begins the song. As for You're the Bravest, I find this song to be much more memorable and emotional than I Really Want to Love Him because it revolves around a pure type of love, not the puppy love triangle Korean dramas usually dwell upon, it does become a bit annoying too especially knowing how Twins ended up just choosing each other, which in reality, is the complete opposite. I've mentioned this several times already but friends should be happy for each other no matter what. Seems like one has to fight for their love, force it from others, or limit their feelings in I Really Want To Love You, which love is supposed to be a beautiful thing, not a forbidden situation. You're the Bravest explores a deeper level of love, it could either be a close friend, family member, or simply a loved one who is about to exit one's life into a bigger world, how frightening yet exciting for that person and sad but glad for the other. I love the music video as well. Even though, I Really Want to Love Him has more of a storyline but the simple camera glimpses of Gillian in You're the Bravest were priceless and absolutely beautiful, her sorrow flooded ocean deep.

jelly_bean: Gillian has been shining brightly even without all of the grand opportunities, I'm sure, Andy won't let Gillian slip away without a decent collaboration. Andy seems like a business man more than anything, even though he can be biased at times. Gillian has been quite hot in the market, her spark won't fade away soon, she has only begun, people in general have been waiting for Gillian to finally break out from her shell. Despite her limited roles, Andy knows that a collaboration with Gillian may gain him as many awards as it did with Cecilia. Not only will Andy help expose Gillian to more mature and serious roles but Gillian herself is also benefitting Andy as well by introducing a new genre to the audience, creating a unique film different from the rest Andy has collaborated before. Hm, I already hate Twins films and especially when this upcoming film revolves around a love triangle, my polly, how exciting. I'm not even sure how the storyline will explain this so called love triangle when obviously, the short version, the I Really Want to Love Him music video was such a horrible adaptation. There was so much confusion in who the guy really loved when he was expressing such tender affection towards Gillian yet seemed to have teased Sa in the next scene, how awfully portrayed. Perhaps the I Really Want to Love Him song will be part of the OST since they are inviting Mainland actors, so Mandarin songs right? Anyway, I just find it silly, how the storyline is a love triangle meaning, Guy loves Gillian, Gillian loves him, YET Sa loves him as well but somehow to equalize the characters so that one Twin doesn't portray a completely abandoned or unloved victim versus the other, all of the screentime is pushed towards the unloved Twin with some juicy scenes of her own, which just contradicts the storyline if you ask me. It already gives me a reason for hating this film even without watching it yet. I guess, I'll begin looking forward to the Andy-Gillian collaboration sooner than I expected since Gillian seems to have been frozen in terms of solo films.

Yup. Can't express it enough. It's not that I only love Gillian and wish to disband Twins; boy, I wished I had the power though *evil laugh* but Gillian overall just sounds so much more alive solo. Her voice completely elevates the simple song into a beautiful masterpiece. Oh, I love Gillian's solo live performances and those weren't even my favorite Twins songs either. I bet if Gillian sang some of Twins' more recognized and loved songs solo like Kite and Wind and now, You're the Bravest, Gillian would no doubt fully recover from that throat injury that caused her pain and her confidence. Kenny totally brings the silly side out of Gillian. Gillian normally doens't fool around much publically since she has a high level of respect for others but this time, with Kenny, Gillian just allows herself to relax and have fun while attending her duty as a role model at functions. Seriously, Gillian loves to joke, laugh, and express herself so feely around Kenny, Steven, Stephen, and at times, Daniel. Gillian is such a guy magnet. Kenny and Gillian are too cute and crazy once united! I'm still waiting for that cute film they were joking about, what was it again? The Zero something? Don't remember much but still cute though. Oh, so Twins had a disagreement eh? Not surprised here but for others, not sure.

Anyway, I applaud Gillian for singing vibratos in some recent live performances even though, I personally think that Twins' Mandarin songs weren't the best to use vibratos because if you follow along, you'll detect that the notes and lyrics are too short to produce good vibratos, at the most, only small beginning vibratos which end a few seconds later, not too important nor appealing. In the recorded versions, the vibratos sound nice but in live performances, it's quite difficult to produce such quick vibratos that end quite early too so I must say, Gillian did a great job at attempting vibratos in her live performances even though, it was more of a strain than a beautiful contribution to the song.

Perhaps Gillian and Sa were not on good terms in the beginning of the event but had to rejoin later for pictures since they were on the same team right? Anyway, seems like Gillian had a blast and that is all that matters.

Can't wait to see it, though I don't think anything happened right? Cause Twins certainly can not stick together 24/7 cause that's crazy! But I watched my DVD making of I Really Want to Love Him and near the end where they was suppose to hug Charlene hit Gill face and they started to rub their own face cause Char hit her head onto Gill cheek. And when they did that scene again, their smile didn't look real.. or should I say not happy? But whatever!

A lot of things between Twins, I'm sure, are fake. Gillian is always getting hurt but never complains. Gillian does easily fall ill but she never burdens others with her personal health; she's so strong.

I agree with you. Gillian's always getting hurt and yet you hear nothing from her. She goes on continueing working. That's just who she is and that's what I love about her--her will to keep going whether she's tired or not or in pain.
That's why I idolize her so much and have so much respect and admire her because of her courageousness, confident, talent, and the potential that she has in her. People are always saying that Gillian only has so many fans because people like her for her beauty but that's where I disagree. Yeah, she does have that elegant, glamourous, and gorgeousness but there's more to that. She works hard and pushes herself to exceed the limit and yet people still look down her because they choose not to see what we see.
That's why I started liking Gillian. Before I didn't care so much for Twins but as time went by I start seeing more in Gillian and decided to invest more in her. I'm glad I did because it was worth it. It's worth coming in here reading post after post--long post to may I add because that's just how much I admire Gillian.
I can go on forever just writing why Gillian's so admirable but it might (might I add) be a little too off.

This is totally unfair...."49 Days" showed like way in the beginning of this year and probably the new Twins film will be the end of this year (which I doubt would be in favor of Gillian anways ) Gillian's like once again fading in the filming industry everytime she makes a comeback. I mean all these months already and months ahead and no Gillian film hit the big screen, if it's not for the constand reminder of their music career, Gillian isn't having a deep impression for the audiences. Each time her film comes out, it's like starting all over from the beginning.

I wonder when the mini concert is going to air. It's been a month or so...They can't cut out the KG duet also, that would just be a bummer....

Yup, I agree. Gillian's voice is attracting. It's like a magnet..lolx...especially when she made her voice extra sweet! As much as I didn't really like the melody the first time I listened, I'm starting to like it because of Gillian's voice.



I think the fans are just sensitive. I mean they were in different teams, so they shouldn't really be interacting with each other so when the game ended, they went to talk to each other then. They also don't have to stand by each other 24/7 to show that they are in good terms. It would be more likely that would cause a bigger problem because they need some alone space or time out from each other once in a while.

Edit: oops..I think I read something wrong because Charlene and Gillian were on the same team when I watch the clips... well, still Twins doesn't have to stick together all the time to prove that they are on friendly terms...lolx



This film isn't that promising....a diver turned actor as the main male lead? He doesn't have such a good reputation also...The whole idea of the love triangle is quite interesting between Twins but not after seeing the MV of "I Really Love You" or "Starlight Wonderland". Either role Gillian have, Gillian gets less screentime and more developed on Charlene's character, either way, doesn't matter. I mean if Gillian is just the friend, the storyline will focus on how in love Charlene and the guy is and if Gillian is the girlfriend, it's going to focus how brokenhearted Charlene's character is. I know Gillian's character in "Starlight Wonderland" wasn't someone who also in love with the guy but hey, there's not much difference (Gillian's character was jealous of the guy ) What makes us think that the unfair screentime division wouldn't happen for this film with the evidence of other past Twins' films?

Yeah. Gillian is quite special and unique. I've heard of Twins but never knew that Gillian was one of the members up until I further researched her profile and biography after watching The Monkey King, Gillian as Zhi Mei with Na Zha. Gillian was just too cute to resist. She was absolutely stunning in that serial, I wish Gillian would film more serials or at least ancient films.

Gillian seemed bored at first during the kick off at the event but she eventually enjoyed herself alongside Kenny. Twins have improved on singing, especially Gillian. I know at times, it's quite difficult for Gillian to dance, move, and sing altogether but these recent performances, I have to say, Gillian was awesome. I love it when Gillian smiles, so beautiful.

You're right. There are a lot of viewers and visitors that enter this thread, I'm glad that many new Gillian fans have introduced themselves and showed their support for Gillian in a rough time like this. I guess, we all always knew that Gillian had a lot of fans but some are silent while others are more out spoken like us but either way, I'm just happy that Gillian has been receiving nothing but warmth and support from all fans.

Yes, the love triangle is so predictable that we aren't even going to be surprised when we see it. The MVs are a preview, so Gillian is just there to form the third angle to complete the love triangle. Who knows? Gillian expressed that the crew is still discussing and changing the script around here and there; I bet it's being changed to someone's favour. If the love triangle's going to go typical, I'd rather it be like TTE. Charlene can go off cuddling with the guy even if it takes up most of the screentime while Gillian can take care of the real business. Whatever way the script will come out as, we know that the screentime will never favour Gillian, so it's not much different on our part. I just hope that the Andy+Gillian collaboration will happen. Gillian seriously is frozen in solo films since she didn't fail as planned with her underpromoted '49 Days'.

I agree; in Twins performances, whether it be live or recorded, Gillian's voice is still compressed down. During live performances, it's much more alive as you've said. Even though Gillian hasn't completely grasped her voice of letting it expand broadly to its maximum, but she will get there with time and practice, and of course some solo opportunities. She also has to build up more of her confidence; she definitely has much more of it after singing solo a couple of times, but she'd be more safe with a bit more under her belt. I hope she'll have a chance to sing some of the Twins classics solo as well. I want to see what she would do to improve the song.

I believe it was 'Zero Charm'. It could either be a romantic film or a comedic film or an emotional film. It'd be a comedic one if it talks about Kenny and Gillian being the people with zero charm, and they run around to attract people but meet with their amusing events of always failing. If Gillian gets her suggestion through with the film, and it's about her rejecting Kenny, it'd be a sad one; Gillian, the popular beauty rejecting the guy with zero charm, Kenny. Hm, that'd make Gillian look bad though. Or finally the romantic film, Kenny and Gillian are both people who can never seem to find their own true love and have given up with ever finding anyone because they are people of zero charm, but eventually they meet up with each other, and our romance story will start from there. So what kind of love song will a couple of zero charm be able to compose? Oh my, I think I like the last one the most. It would be such a big hit if a KG film actually went into production. We could go off challenging those who beg to differ even before KG has collaborated in a film. There's bound to be a lot of chemistry between Kenny and Gillian!

Lam Man Chung changed the 0 to a 2, and then Kenny and Gillian changed the 2 to a 3 and the 1 into a 4. Gillian looked so cute when she quickly shifted back to her original standing position after switching the scores! Kenny was still fiddling with the scores in the back though with Gillian covering him partially.

I wonder why Joey didn't attend? Mandy and Vincy ended up taking over her song. Hm, Mandy and Vincy didn't sound too good as a singing pair. Vincy and Charlene didn't synchronize very well either; Gillian and Yumiko were okay, but they weren't that good either.


I'm not very used to the limits of quoting either; I am used to quoting whatever I needed to quote.

Anyway, it's like Gillian always has to fade for a while after she blew the film industry away with a hit. Come on, even though she's gotten a good amount of recognition for her hits, she still has a lot more to do to establish herself in the film industry, especially towards the forgetful HK crowd. One solo hit per year isn't going to do Gillian much justice. I bet HK people have already forgotten about '49 Days' by now. With just the Twins film coming up for Gillian this year on the big screen, she isn't going to get much benefit since she doesn't exactly get much, if anything, from a Twins film. I wonder if Gillian could be promised at least one leading role per year? It has happened for the past 3 years: 2004 - BOK, 2005 - HOF, 2006 - 49 Days. Anything else in filming that Gillian lands on will be some supporting/guest-starring role. That is the least we can hope for. Hopefully, Gillian's collaboration with Andy will be her leading role in 2007.

Latest update about 'Let's Steal Together'!

The male lead isn't going to be Tian Lian anymore. The producer, Tsui Siu Ming, expressed that because Tian Liang has fallen ill, he won't be able to take on the late nights of filming, so the production crew has decided to change the male lead, but they haven't decided who yet.

Really? Wow! I don't really care because I don't think he fits the character since he had a bad image so I rather have Twins with someone else. But I really want it to be a HK actor, but half not because basically I bet Charlene ends up with the guy, or probably none so....

For this performance of Gillian singing 'Samba Queen', I found it to be much better than her previous performances, excluding the concert ones. Before, when Twins first sang 'Samba Queen' live, Gillian's voice was barely audible and it sounded, like what Alexa calls it, 'nasally' to me, but for this performance, Gillian sounded really good and it sounds like her voice for her cantonese songs is recovering well because she's starting to sound more like how she did before she got injured. I would also really like to see her singing some of Twins old songs live again, solo, to hear how different she sounds now, compared to before she hurt her throat, and a bit after she hurt her throat.



It's good to hear that they're changing the male lead, because I really hope that they don't do the triangle relationship thing. I hope that they choose two male leads for this film so that Twins can each have their own chemistry with their own person. It'd be nice if they chose some cute/hot looking guys too. =D And the male leads for this film has changed twice, and now a third time, I wonder how manymore times do they have to change the male lead? And now with Tian Liang gone, I wonder if they're going to change the script a bit to have NO male lead? Seeing how they're still changing the script around. And shouldnt Twins have started to film this movie already? They said that they were going to start filming in July. And since it's July now and Gillian STILL hasnt changed her hairstyle, it looks like she'll STILL be having curls for this movie. Twins sang three sings right? They sang one of their old songs, something about "World Cup". In the beginning, Twins seemed to be struggling...at one point their voice faded out almost. I found Gillian didn't seemed really confident at the beginning of the song as her voice wavered a little (maybe she didn't really remember the lyrics since the song is so long...I'm not sure ) but then slowly, she got more comfortable and went smoothly

I agree that it's better to have two male leads after knowing how EEG splits the guy for Twins... At least it's a little more fair to Gillian by letting her have her own partner and love story to tell, even if it's not going to be as developed Oh...if the theme of the movie is Twins, wouldn't it be nice if they use "Solar" as the main leads. They were going to be guest starring anyways... only that they don't have any acting experiences but who cares

I guess, a love triangle between Twins is supposed to show their increased maturity level over the cute years? Mind as well cancel this film since everything seems to fall apart everytime filming is about to begin, that's a sign. Anyway, even if Gillian receives the supporting role like always, at least Gillian is technically the hero who saves the day in the end and doesn't need a man to take care of business, that's admirable independence. Hm, so we're all just waiting on the Andy-Gillian collaboration eh? Well, EEG has frozen solo Gillian films this year due to the fact that they're promoting Sa to receive a nomination for Best Actress or better for her role in Diary. EEG wouldn't want Gillian to outshine again like in Beyond Our Ken. So the Andy-Gillian collaboration perhaps would only happen once EEG achieves their goal in Sa bringing home the Best Actress Award at the ceremonies, no kidding. Not only is Diary a suspense/horror film but it's also being released near the end of the year, still fresh on people's minds for awards.

Collaborating with Andy is a huge step for Gillian especially when she has never participated with extremely popular and well accepted veteran actors as her lead, Andy. Andy does have the power to break some barriers and that is exactly EEG's fear. Once Gillian kisses, there is no way EEG can excuse or reject all of those juicy good roles on Gillian's behalf. Seriously, people are still waiting for Gillian to take on better projects and more beefy roles.

My Version of Zero Charm.

For the Kenny and Gillian film, perhaps Gillian can be fat and Kenny a naive nerd with thick glasses, zero charm for both, it's never happened in any film. They fall in love with each other in high school (inner beauty) but Gillian moves away to the States due to an illness abandoning Kenny without saying goodbye or an explanation. Kenny believes that Gillian played his love as a fool and began changing himself, much more confidence, lost the glasses, lost the geeky look, and became a hot stud playing with all of the beautiful women. As for Gillian, her illness causes her to lose weight, turning into a beautiful swan. They both meet after 10 years, both 25, at their favorite place, HK Starbucks, now under the ownership of Kenny Kwan. Over the years without Gillian, Kenny has been working diligently and has become one of HK's youngest and most successful business bachelors. Gillian's family has been investing in the treatement of her illness, they have gone from middle class to being poor. Gillian returns to HK in hopes of reuniting with Kenny but she lives in the poor sections of HK. Gillian applies for a job at Starbucks, just enough to make ends meet and remain in HK in search for Kenny. Gillian's family didn't support the idea of Gillian returning to HK by herself because she needs her daily treatment but because Gillian insists in meeting Kenny before anything else happens, her family had no other choice. Gillian has given up on life after being on medication for a good 10 years and still hasn't recovered, she has wasted those precious 10 years and has returned to make up for loss time even if it causes her her life. Kenny has no idea about Gillian's circumstances so he hires her to seek his personal revenge. He treats her horribly during that period of time to make up for all the pain she caused him, everytime she tries to explain why she had to leave, he ignores her and tortures her by flirting with other females but deep down, everytime she's hurt, he hurts even more but he's just playing stubborn. Until one day, Gillian and Kenny get into a feisty argument about everything, Gillian in tears and anger storms out of Starbucks and runs into traffic unaware, she gets hit by a car, Kenny rushes over to hug her and transport her to the nearest hospital. There, Kenny discovers the truth, Gillian has a terminal illness and has been battling it ever since high school, her medical records show that. Kenny now understands and regrets his jerkish ways. They have 6 months left. Kenny and Gillian spend every second with each other, they get married knowing that Gillian doesn't have much time left. On the wedding morning, old friends and families gather around the beautiful bride and handsome groom. Gillian weak from treatment, Kenny has to carry her into the church. They say their vows and wear their weddings rings, sealing it with an eternal kiss. During the reception in the evening, while Kenny is having a blast drinking up with old buddies, Gillian slips into her back room working on a gift for Kenny. She quickly returns to their room and falls to sleep silently. Kenny enters and embraces her gently but he notices she is quite cold and hasn’t changed out of her clothes yet, he chuckles and asks her to stop being lazy and head over to the shower. He laughs and grabs her arm to stand up but her arm slowly falls back onto her light body; Kenny realizes as he recognizes some blood stains and begins to cry. He continues speaking to Gillian with tears rolling down further down his cold cheeks. He asks Gillian which present to open first and then tightly holds onto her empty body and cries. A few weeks later, he places their wedding house for sale because he wants to forget about everything. As his employees begin to pack, they find a video tape in Gillian’s drawers. Kenny is a bit curious and watches it, Gillian has assembled clips of them when they were high school sweethearts, their first date, their first kiss, their first dance, their birthdays, their wedding, their house (the decorations since Gillian was the interior designer) all of their memories together, the camera zooms in on Gillian smiling. She slowly opens the wedding gift Kenny gave her still in her lovely reception gown, she laughs and puts it (an elegant diamond necklace written KG) on. She says: I’m sorry Kenny, I can’t afford such an elegant wedding gift for you but all I have are just memories that will forever dance in my heart. Gillian cries, continuing, Kenny, I’m sorry I can’t greet you in the morning with a kiss, I can’t fix your tie when you head out for work, I can’t fill your empty tummy with a warm meal, I can’t kiss you goodbye when you open the door, I can’t hug you when you cry, I can’t help you solve your problems when you’re down, I’m sorry but may memories in this tape comfort you when you’re at your lowest and shower you with my love from up above. Gillian coughs out blood and falls onto the bed, her lovely necklace falls onto the floor, breaking it apart. The camera captures every last breath as Gillian calls out Kenny and silently sleeps on the bed. Kenny tells everyone to stop packing and cries. He decides to live in their wedding house for the rest of his life, their memories will forever live with him in their house. The End.

This film is a comedic romance plus sappy love story. I wish KG would collaborate in a film like this.

I'm hoping that Gillian will straighten her hair for the film like she has been doing for certain projects like that Japanese anime. I hope her curly hair is only for the promotions of Around the World With 80 Dollars album.

Um.. if that's what EEG is doing that's really gay! I mean they had their chance of Gillian winning the award but why not accept it? but push it towards the younger one? I mean if Gillian did win that award she could of been the youngest to get it besides Cecilia. It's true that Kenny bring out the funny side in Gill that we cant see. Usually Gill label as " the quite" one, but everytime you put her next to Kenny, Steven or Stephen; you'll see that Gill act sort of silly and cute. It's good to see her have fun while doing work at the same time. I'm not supprise when i see Gill and Char didnt stand next to each other. For the last two years or so, Twins didnt really attend function together as much as before. Usually Char fliming, and Gill attend function, sing solo. It's EEG try to make us use to the fact that Twins arent close they use to be. At the end, Gill come over to Char and talk and laught. So, that is good sign. I kind of agree to what you guy said, just because they are Twins, they don't have to be together all the time.
It true that Gill only have main movie each year, i find that REALLLY unfair for her. People being bashing how her acting is so bad, they never stop and think that how can she get better, or expand her acting skill while her role is so limit or the role is not really deep. This is how I see it, it's not like this is EEG/EMG's first time gearing the entire film towards Sa. Even though, Gillian is supposedly the more important character who saves the day but she merely becomes the supporting actress as the majority of screentime is invested into Sa. Almost every Twins film has followed that pattern and Twins fans in general have never really been bothered by that. Why? Because it's a Twins film, all fans in general must support and suppress their personal opinions. So that just gives EEG/EMG the power to continue concentrating on Sa's character while handing down Gillian the same old cold and cool role but only appears here and there throughout the film. And now a love triangle? This film perhaps may be the worst of all. If EEG is really trying to prove their point and publicize their bias, then this film will obviously show it. I hate it how EMG is just using SunDream's reputation to further promote their own idol, that's called leeching off SunDream and their star, Gillian for their own personal benefits. When people hear SunDream, they would probably be curious and support the film due to their satisfactory with 49 Days and Gillian's performance. But little do they know, SunDream and Gillian are just a cover.

Gillian isn't as quiet as the media portrays her but she's not rowdy either, she's just a simple person who also experiences her moods too. Hm, I don't understand that logic either of how Twins always have to stick together in everything. Geez, give them some room to breath alone.

Hm, any more beefy roles and Gillian really is heading towards receiving another nomination or perhaps may receive the Best Actress Award. I mean, who would have thought that Gillian would receive such a nomination at such an early stage, just her 2-3 leading role. That's probably why Gillian can't film anymore films, she'll be too big of a threat whether people choose to believe that or not.

You don't like Kenny as the lead? Hm, I was thinking about Kenny as the lead but at times, Kenny still appears as a boy. I mean, it's so weird watching him do kissing scenes. Then perhaps Alan? Or even Vic Chou? Vic has that serious and sorrowful attribute as well especially in Silence so his maturity and emotions suit a film like this one especially next to beautiful Gillian. I would love to watch Vic and Gillian collaborate. The Twins X F2 duet was horrible.

The Andy+Gillian collaboration is worth our anticipation way more than the Twins film. Even though Andy's film will have Karena as its female lead as well, we're still assured that each character will be promised its time to shine. Gillian most likely wouldn't be placed under any biased screentime either because Andy will obviously give her a decent amount scenes since he wants to collaborate with her personally. The Twins film, on the other hand, will just be a waste of Gillian's time because she's just going to pop up here and there to keep the plot going while Charlene will take care of most of the screentime by showing the romance part of the story with the male lead, even though romance is supposed to be the sub-plot in the whole thing. Eventually, Gillian's character will save the day as you've said, depsite her limited screentime. Because of the underdeveloped main plot, the film will again be criticized for its bad structure, and people will continue to believe how EMG productions are crap along with EEG artistes.

That's always been EEG's goal. Gillian simply can't surpass Charlene in anything, but ironically she has in many aspects. That's already a big reason for Gillian's freeze in films this year since they are predicting for Charlene to get a piece of the cake for 'Best Actress' this year, a nomination if not the actual award itself. If Charlene ends up getting it this year, then perhaps Gillian will be freed. If not, let's just anticipate on another random project of Gillian's making it up to the top, sending hot steam to firing out the top of the EEG executives' heads. Charlene's role does look like it has a chance to at least be nominated because of the delusional character, so perhaps EEG's wish will be fulfilled. Though I have the feeling that even if Charlene gets what EEG wants her to get, Gillian still won't be benefited as much as we hope. She'll probably be loosened up a tad bit, but not entirely because outshining is still a big no-no for Gillian in their eyes at all times.

We are practically depending on Andy to help Gillian out right now. He's the only person who has the power and is willing to break the barriers for Gillian. Let's hope Gillian's opportunity for Andy's film pulls through, and Andy will hack off those stupid restrictions for her. Once those restrictions are off, the good scripts and roles will be flowing, and it's going to be harder to reject them since Gillian has already surpassed the non-kissing requirements.

The plot that you thought of is good, but it's so sad. We have to kill off Gillian..... The part about Gillian being fat and Kenny being a nerd is a good one! That could pull off some of the 'only a couple of pretty faces' comments of people if Kenny and Gillian did that in a film, or is that privilege only offered to Charlene among EEG? Maybe you should write a fanfic using that plot since the chance is so limited for it to actually happen, knowing EEG. I really want to see a KG collaboration with a good and interesting plot.

Yeah, Gillian is such a funny girl around them. I remember there was a time when Steven expressed that Gillian threatened to slap him until his mouth was to a slant. It's because he made a joke about her being fat though. Haha, no sympathy for him there! Twins don't have to stick together always because they're two individuals, meaning that they have their personal preferences that will differ from each other.

I hope she'll receive a good main role next year, seeing how it's quite impossible for her to receive one this year. Hopefully, it'll be the Andy film. Gillian just needs roles that have more depth to them; that's how she will be able to improve and prove people wrong about her acting.

Even though SunDream is part of this, I'm not that confident either. For all we know, SunDream could've had this amazing plot with a good storyline along with equal screentime, and nothing biased included, but we've heard about alterations being made to the script, right? Any wonder on that? If it was a SunDream production alone, then it would be promising because the outcome of '49 Days' was good, but EMG is part of the deal here. If any alterations, I'd rather them just take the love triangle out of it, or even just let Charlene have the guy all to herself if they wish, but don't be pulling Gillian into a supposedly love triangle when she's barely part of it. I'm going to be so peeved if all her purpose is for the love triangle is to contrast how painful and pitiful Charlene's character is. Gillian could just be the heroine who saves the day, despite her limited appearances. You know, I really hope that Twins won't be having a physical fight with each other again in this film; it's getting so typical because it nearly happens in every film. The demo poster for 'Let's Steal Together' is really amusing as you looked further into it. Notice how Charlene's name is placed under EMG's company name while Gillian's name is placed under SunDream's company name? The positions sure fit well.

Guess what, guys? I just read the news today, and Mani has expressed to the media that Tian Liang's character in 'Let's Steal Together' is going to be completely cancelled, so there won't be any replacement for him; there will be two veteran actors added in though, 洪金寶 and 吳京. The script will be undergoing more alterations because of the deleting of Tian Liang's character. At least we don't have to worry about any love triangle now.

I'm pretty sure that they aren't going back to the original plans because the two guys that they're adding in now are veteran actors, so they are much more older in age; they are at least 50 - 60 years old, so they can't possibly pair them up with Gillian and Charlene.

Yep, 洪金寶 is Timmy Hung's father. If there has to romance in this story, then it's probably with 吳京, even though he doesn't look like he could make a good couple with Gillian nor Charlene in the terms of looks either. With 洪金寶 would be absolutely crazy; I hope he's just being their dad or their teacher. Why don't they make 洪金寶 be Gillian and Charlene's teacher in regards to stealing and 吳京 can be 洪金寶's student and be Twins' senior who treats them like sisters?

Gillian has always wanted to portray a tragic character; of course, there's Ching Ling So but Gillian's tragic role in my Zero Charm film is quite different. As Ching Ling So, Gillian's love was not returned and fulfilled so she died without experiencing the beauty of true love between two individuals. In my version of Zero Charm, Gillian's character may be simple and quite unappealing similarly to Ching Ling So but at least she encountered true love, she died knowing how warm Kenny's hug was and how much she meant to him, no one can ever replace her in his heart. Even though Ching Ling So sacrificed for the one she loved, Hu Fei, but she passed away with sorrow, the opposite of this particular character, who left Kenny with peace and contentment. I really wish Gillian can portray both characters that seem so alike but yet so different. I want to watch the little details of Gillian's portrayal, how convincing and different each character will turn out to be. I anticipate on crying buckets watching Gillian carry out these roles, contrasting a character who has never been loved (Ching Ling So) to another who has been truly loved (Zero Charm) but both stories end up in tragedy.

Hm, I already have the storyline all written out so I mind as well write a fan fiction huh? It's funny, how Ching Ling So is a character of ordinary appearance YET the simple hair and light makeup with an ugly wardrobe cannot hide away Gillian's beauty. Perhaps Gillian does need to wear super ugly effects to decrease her beauty. It would be an interesting sight, Gillian wearing those fat suits.

I have hope in SunDream but because EMG seems to be the main company in charge, SunDream would perhaps only work on the after production and editing while EMG does all of the direct filming, scenes, and final decisions plus promotions. Isn't that Samo Hung? And the second, younger guy is Jason Wu. Hm, with these two members added into the cast, I really believe this film is another Twins Effect II adaptation. Samo has been making small appearances in ancient films lately while Jason has always been surrounded with ancient serials, quite popular in Mainland as a martial arts figure. Perhaps Jason can teach Gillian some swift moves. Anyway, I'm not too sure how the romance is going to happen between Jason and Twins but I bet this film would be a kick butt type. Samo is probably there to add flavor to the cast while introducing Jason into HK's mainstream film industry since he rarely participates in films, moreso in dramas and serials. The second male lead is still a mystery, I guess. And no, Jason is not handsome nor cute but he's funny though.

That's probably the case in terms of characters. Jason looks better in ancient clothes so he won't appear as bad looking in full ancient apparel. Samo will probably serve as some type of powerful master like he did in the The Legend of Zu. The cast isn't too bad currently but still, I'm much more concerned about Gillian moreso than the rest. Jason is not a minor star who will be easily brushed away with limited onscreen time so I'm not going to worry about him. I wonder who will be the second male lead? Or is this film still heading towards a love triangle? Seems so at the moment unless a new lead is added to break the triangle.

Is this series going to be set in ancient times? Because all along I thought that it was going to be modern.

I really hope that like you guys said that Samo is like their teacher or dad, while Jason is either thier senior or maybe the 'bad guy' in the film. It seems like this movie is still somewhat of a mystery to us seeing how they keep on changing the male leads and the script. As much as I dread the 'screentime' of Gillian's, I'm also kind of anticipating for them to start filming to see how much of the plot has changed since the first news of the movie came out. Because so much keeps on changing as the time to start filming comes closer.

Yes, it would be very interesting to be seeing Gillian portray similar character which are different through little details and aspects. We can then see how she would handle them and what differences she would add in to show the differences of the characters. It would prove a lot on her acting. I'd really hope to see a film where Gillian's characters are able to receive true love. When we think back, her past films either have her character not have a love interest, or have a deception of true love, or simply a love story that was underdeveloped as a sub-plot. It would be awesome if Gillian was able to collaborate with Kenny in something like the 'Zero Charm' that you've sketched out; wouldn't we all be relieved if HK scriptwriters could do something as decent as what you wrote? Anyway, Gillian needs a romance film to act in! She hasn't had a film that revolved around a love story between her and a male co-star yet.

The speaking of the fat suits just remind me of 'Love On A Diet'. It'd be amusing if Kenny and Gillian could pull off some hilarious on-screen chemistry with some fat outlooks. I just love those films that are a part of everything, but just those that are nicely proportioned. It's going to turn out bad if everything is just pasted together like no one cares. Anyway, yes, 'Zero Charm' could be sending off laughter throughout in the beginning, but little would the audience know that they'll be needing tissues for the second half as 'Zero Charm' becomes 'Full Charm' because of the pain hidden behind the beautiful faces of the couple.

That's basically the only positive thing I see right now about the film; perhaps Gillian will be able to learn something about these experienced action stars. It has been said that this film will consist of a lot of fighting. I can just see Gillian doing most the kick butt action throughout the film; it's just like how my cousin referred to it as when she watched TTE and TTE II, 'Gillian's basically just out to kick butt whenever she does appear!'. I doubt this time will be an exception. I do wonder whether Samo Hung and Jason Wu will be in for a chunky role, or are they just advertising their names out loud as they did for Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan for TTE II to get more attention for film when they're only guest-starring?

I believe that the love triangle is completely taken out because Jason Wu isn't replacing Tian Liang; Tian Liang's character is simply being deleted and cancelled from the script completely, so I'd imagine the love triangle would then be cancelled as his character disappears? Or at least that's what I hope is happening. Hm, if Jason's funny, then maybe he and Charlene can just portray some comedic scenes to attempt for laughters while Samo and Gillian will take care of the scenes where they discuss of the real business?


I'm not sure; I thought it was going to modern too, but then I read news of how Twins were going to head to GuangZhou to film this movie. Don't they usually only go back to Mainland for filming if the drama was ancient? Modern movies usually take place in HK, don't they?

I hope we get more information on the movie as well, then we could actually have some kind of idea about what's going to be happening with the plot, and more importantly, Gillian's screentime. Changing the script so much sometimes isn't very good; it may turn out worse because the scriptwriter would just be stessing out to make alterations to suit the circumstances that it may just turn out as loose pieces being threaded together. The plot's definitely been altered through a lot already; they went from two male leads to one male lead, now they're completely cutting out a character that was supposedly important, and the script is still going under changes.

This is good. I like it. It's sad but yet the ending is awesome. Gillian died but with happiness. She loved and was loved in return so that's good. Just reading it made me wanna cry buckets.

My sister and I were discussing on who Gillian should collaborate with and we both came up with Vic Chou since he's such a hottie and his acting abilities has improved so much since his Meteor Garden days. He did a fantastic job in God Mars and Silence that he would be great. I so would want this collaborations. Then again, wishful thinking.

It's true how EEG/EMG alway/ some how put Char's character have more on screen time or better character. People ALWAY claim that because her acting is better or what not. I don't really want to discuss it, but if they didn't see that over this past few years Gill's acting is improve really well. Alot of peoples say that Char have the better chance to win or nominated for Best Actress this year. I have to disagree, even though se have alot of movie this years and everything. Back to the so-called " Twins ", im sorry to said this but i don't think im going to buy their DVD. I migh for Gill sake, but like the ALL Twins movie they just put the name Twins in the front, but WE all know who will be the main, an have more screen time. Gill just stuck with some crappy role like all the time, cold-cool girl or REALLY quite girl. I'm glad that they didnt put the whole love triangle behind and let each girls have their own man. I want Kenny to be in the movie, that Manni did said that they will working with someone they never work together before.

That is good. I would know that in a love triangle charlene would get the guy. I have seen Jason act in some movie and serial, he always act serious. Since Samo is kind of old he can't do much, maybe Gillian and Jason will take care the business whie charlene just do some comedie part.

Even though, Gillian has been acting for a few years now, Gillian has never portrayed an emotional lover before. Her characters have never experienced any type of true love, in depth like real romance films but come to think of it, HK films these days lack that interesting romance in general. It would be awesome to watch Gillian portray an emotional unstable girlfriend or wife with an illness like Charlie in All About Love because Gillian will receive an opportunity to expand her crying emotions. Gillian is an excellent tear jerker, she cries perfectly when the cameras begin rolling but I have never seen Gillian scream, throw things, smash glass, or just yell with tears for love. I want to see the emotional drama queen Gillian can become. Hopefully, Andy and I are picturing the same idea and genre for Gillian's role in their collaboration. Who knows, Gillian may have to thank Andy during her Best Actress speech next year.

I would love to see both Kenny and Gillian in those fat suits. The makeup crew who touched up on Andy and Sammi's fat appeal were good; the skin and overall look was very natural unlike some films that have failed to look normal but instead all stiff and plastic.

Hm, since this is an EMG production, wonder if Jackie Chan will make a guest appearance like he usually does. I wouldn't be surprised. Hm, since Twins are Twins in this film, they won't duel at first sight because they obviously grew up with each other unless they get separated at birth to make the entire film more interesting and so predictable, such a recycled theme. Then perhaps Twins will duel once again as they were trained to go against each other. But if Twins weren't separated at birth, due to their different personalities, they may always duel like Natalie and Nicky in House of Fury. One way or another, Twins will show their martial arts skills by fighting with one another. I wish Gillian can do a little of both, comedy and martial arts but that won't happen anyway. I'm not sure about Samo and Jason's roles either but for sure, they're going to cover in for the male's portion of martial arts.

Hopefully, the triangle has been deleted with Tian Liang. Perhaps Tian Liang isn't ill but after reading the script EMG altered, his future didn't look too bright with this film as his first debut in the ET industry so he simply cancelled his part. So far, there's only Jason so let's not get our hopes too high about the deleted love triangle. The love triangle idea obviously surfaced to make their favorite shine so if EMG/EEG already has their minds set for that particular goal, I'm pretty sure they have ways of adding in the love triangle with or without Tian Liang. Hopefully, another male lead will be added to the cast soon.

Hm, right when Samo and Jason were added into the cast, that just further confirmed that this film will be taking place in the ancient days. There's no way Jason will star in a modern film, that's just so weird of him. And the only time Twins interact with Mainland or other non-HK based male co-stars like Jaycee and Wilson, it's usually an ancient film. Filming in Mainland, GuangZhou, just makes it more solid that it's a period film. Perhaps it won't be ancient ancient like TE II but probably moreso like 49 Days since SunDream is also involved.

True. Too many changes may turn an originally decent storyline into a weird and disappointing film like A Chinese Tall Story.

Not only is Vic handsome and has enough charisma as Gillian's intimate partner on camera but he'll also further expose Gillian to the Taiwanese audience, which has been growing lately so it'll definitely be beneficial to Gillian.

Sa has only received the Most Popular Actress Award, I believe which doesn't say much like the Best Actress Award. Diary is a similar genre to Gillian's recent films like Beyond Our Ken and 49 Days. Knowing that Gillian gained recognition in Beyond Our Ken and an extremely good box office in 49 Days, Diary seems like a spin off of those two films, suspense and horror blended together. Gillian:Sa, Daniel Wu:Shawn Yu, and Tao Hong:Isabella from BOK with some 49 Days horror elements mixed in. Anyway.

People think that they can always use the excuse of Gillian can't act, she's so stiff blah blah blah but realistically, Gillian has improved. Those people probably haven't even seen Gillian's most recent films but they just claim to know and give their false and biased insights just to make Gillian look bad. Gillian does need more beefy roles. Gillian's acting abilities have already improved beyond great, she just needs better roles and films to show the world her hidden potential, what EEG has been fearfully keeping away.

Sa may have a chance of receiving a nomination for Diary, a highly anticipated film of EEG with tons of promotions this October.

I know. It was jam packed with fighting scenes but it's just weird watching Jason in modern films because he usually doesn't participate in films in general, Sha Po Lang seemed to have been an exception.

Gillian would be great in a romance story; through all the types of scenes, emotional ones have always been the easy ones for Gillian. The tears just flow out so naturally and convincingly. She really needs a role that lets her cry and scream out over her frustrations of romance. I bet she would just be a complete heartbreaker for all of us when we watch it. She just needs a few scenes that focus on her emotions to show us all that she's got in her; BOK provided a good opportunity, but the feeling is different. The character, Ching, was sad because she didn't want to lose for once and decided to seek revenge because of her vengeance, but I'd like to see Gillian portray a character like Charlie's in 'All About Love' as you've said; the scene of when Charlie and Andy were fighting in their house was so memorable. I'd like to see Gillian take a wack at one of those scenes, a shocking emotional breakdown. A scene for Gillian to display all her tears and pains out for the sake of love. Gillian needs a role in a romance story; she's never done one before. I hope Andy has the same idea in mind for Gillian, and that his idea will be fulfilled. Gillian just has the face of an 'Ice Beauty', looking to be so rigid and stubborn yet so fragile, and she can surely portray the emotions behind the beauty as well; Andy wouldn't want to put that to waste, would he? An emotional romance story would be the best bet for Gillian. It'd be awesome if her role in Andy's film could bring Gillian another nomination, or better yet the award itself.


I'd really prefer to skip any duels between Gillian and Charlene. It's too overused. I might be able to live with the Nicky+Natalie type of little sibling fights, but no hand-to-hand combat that was started by a stupid reason, please. Usually brother and sister fights are funnier than sister and sister fights anyway. I don't want to see one of those serious duels unless they were turned against each other by some important factor concerning the storyline, then that'd be something that we can enjoy since there'd be a twist of the plot there. I wonder if Gillian and Charlene will be said to be brought up by different people since it was said that they're going to be complete opposite people except for the fact that they are twins.

Oh yes, the love triangle can still be there for other various reasons. I really hope it's deleted though. We already know about the favoritism and who EEG absolutely loves, so no need for any more emphasis. I'm serious; we see it enough, no more please. I don't know about Tian Liang though; Mani expressed that he really wanted to participate in this, but you know those are the words to say to the media. I don't really care anyway.

Let's hope there'll be more news about the film soon, at least some about the setting will be nice. We don't even know about the time the film takes place in. It does seem easier for them to get away with things in the ancient times since they're thieves. In the modern times, it'd be harder with the more enforced laws and prosecutors. It's not like they're going to make Twins go to jail or what not in a Twins film.

It's been reported in the news that they're going to film in GuangZhou; let's hope that part of the script stays the same as well, seeing all these changes happening. That'd be so cool if you're able to see Gillian! They were originally supposed to go in July, but it's already July now, and it doesn't even look like they're starting their filming any time soon because of all the alterations. Is the script even ready? For all we know, perhaps it will delay into August. Good for your part because you have a larger chance of seeing Gillian. But this better not cause a delay on their Cantonese album, meaning Gillian's personal solo as well. Wouldn't it be awesome if Gillian got more breaks from being in GuangZhou because of her limited screentime, and she's sent back to HK to keep up the singing part of Twins' career alone while Charlene's still filming? Yeah, I remember that Charlene has received an award of 'Most Potential Young Actress', and it was presented by the media. I can never forget that since a DJ on the chinese radio where I live was making a big fuss about it; she went on about how Gillian wouldn't last if Twins were to split because Charlene received an award from the media and Gillian didn't. Talk about a biased discussion. Anyway, Charlene was also nominated as 'Best Newcomer' for 'Diva Ah Hey!', but she didn't get it; anyone know who did that year? I guess you were right when you concluded that Gillian's mainly pushed out to test out the waters first, and if she succeeds, then Charlene will head on the same path. Of course, if Gillian fails on anything, it's just on Gillian's behalf, isn't it? I've just read from a magazine that '49 Days' has one of the highest box office results this year; it's in fourth place at the moment. The first three are Election 2 (Louis Koo, Simon Yam), McDull, The Alumni (Various Stars - It's the film where it stars over 300 artistes), and 2 Become 1 (Miriam Yeung, Richie Ren). It's actually a pretty good result for '49 Days', seeing all the big names and hype about the first three films. It'll probably fall down one or two places at the final cut since there's still a bit less than half a year to go for other films to be presented. 'Rob-B-Hood' would probably get a good result as well, pushing itself to first place since Jackie Chan's there. '49 Days' still did well though; when speaking of a film with a limited cast and promotions, it did well.

Charlene has a good chance of receiving a nomination, I agree. The type of her role is already doing her justice; these types of roles always pull off some kind of hype. There'd be no doubt that 'Diary' will have great amounts of promotions before and during its screening, so it will be noticed. The summary itself already gives off some interest without considering the cast.

I think this photo was taken when Gillian was filming in Mainland. It's the photo that heated up all the Nie Yuan+Gillian rumours since they went to karaoke together, despite that the rest of the cast was present as well.


I believe this is a concert held in Mainland; many guests were invited to perform there including Twins and Joey. Each guest got about half an hour to perform their songs. Twins sang 'Around The World With Eighty Dollars', 'One Time Not Twice', 'I Really Want To Love Him', 'Starlight Amusement Park', and 'Transformation Party. I saw a clip of it, but the quality wasn't very good during some parts, especially during 'Around The World With Eighty Dollars' and 'One Time Not Twice'. Both Gillian and Charlene still did their best job in 'I Really Want To Love Him'. (Am I not supposed to comment on Charlene? Or is that okay?) Gillian sounds much better than before when singing 'Transformation Party'; she sounds a lot more enthusiastic than the CD version. She's starting to become more relaxed and willing to joke to the public even while being with Charlene as Twins, judging from this clip. She joked that she's sweating so much that she's becoming a tomboy because Charlene commented that they're sweating even more than men! Gillian was quite talkative towards the audience during this performance as well; it was equal speaking time.

I noticed that Gillian gets to 'share' some of Charlene's verses after she sings the song solo. Like last time, she sang along with Charlene during Charlene's solo verse for 'Hover Bird'. This time, she shares some of Charlene's solo lines during 'Starlight Amusement Park'. A rude and mean incident also happened during this event. Zhou BiChang's fans, according to CCT's fans, were chucking glowsticks at Twins during their performance of 'Transformation Party'. Sorry if this is off-topic because it mentions Charlene, but one glowstick actually hit Charlene in the neck! How could those people do that? It's highly immature of them!

I think Gill will do good in romance film, she alway said that she would love to do tragic romance movie. If you like something, you'll put your mind and do a really good job. Maybe people should gave her a chance, sometime people can be so stereotype and bias about Gill acting. They say alot of crap, just because they're jelous of Gill. Let face it, the girl have the face AND talent. EEG just want to hold her back, i would love to see her in movie with Vic too. They both seem so " click" with each other. Also, it good to be in movie iwht mainland China, that mean she can expand the fan wise, etc.
The movie Diary seem like typical horror/romance/mystery/teeny movie to. Hong Kong horror is NOT really horror,they alway so haft-sh*t job scaring the audience. The recently movie that consider decend horror/mystery movie is 49 Days, even though it kind of confusing but you jump in some scence. Maybe Char'll get nominated, but i highlt doubt she will win the award no matter her's fan claim how GREAT she is. The fact is there are TONS and TONS of actress that better then Char and Gill. They are consider decend actress, but not good enought to get the award. IF she DID get it, because EEG will probally rigged the award. LOOL.
Also, i would like to see Gill in series, like with TVB. It can help her on improve more acting and we can see her alot.

I was watching 6 A.M. yesterday since it was showing and the beginning part was funny and cute. Steven had a magazine with Twins on it and he was like to Kenny: I thought you said they was coming to our school to do a photoshoot I think? and Kenny was like yeah. And Steven looked at him since he was starng at the magazine and said: I thought you only like Ah Sa. Kenny was like:No I always liked Ah Gill and always will (and he started to kiss the magazine, though his lip didn't touch it). I thought that was soo cute..throughout the movie it was talking about how Steven wants to meet Gill, and save his first kiss for her Lol.. Both of them MUST love Ah Gill soooo much. Lol

Saw the clip that Little_Purple_Bell uploaded, and is it just my computer of does the clip sutters? Lol.. didn't get to see Gill "break dance" because it froze and when it unfroze it showed Charlene. Hm.. it's a bit yucky looking at Charlene because she was sweating alot! And I mean alot! Like the way they made Charlene singing alittle verse of Around the world with 80 dollars and Gillian sang a little of The Missing Piece. They did change the dance move to The missing piece right? Because the last time I saw them perform the moves were different. And they were sure breathing heavy from dancing and singing.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Gillian dancing improved, because usually she'll be stiff with some movements but this dance she danced more freely..and is her shirt suppose to be like that?
