I just watched the clip I ues the mediaplayer, vlc player and real player and i get the same result i can hardly hear their singing and the clip is just keep lacking. The move for "the missing piece" some of the moves are the same.

Vic is a major cutie but I'm still stuck on Edison. Seeing a movie or drama with Gill and Vic would be nice though. I think his acting skills have really improved. Tall, dark and handsome. ^__^

Yea, the award Charlene got was based on votes by fans so it's really doesn't prove much other than that Twins have a lot of fans, especially when they first came out. While Gillian's nomination actually shows a lot because it's not based on popularity or politics.

Charlene's character like Gillian's BOK character? I guess but just with a little more substances and interest factor because Charlene's character probably interest the HK population more (since these characters sure recieve a lot of recognition ) so that's an easy step-up then Gillian's character which is actually pretty common when you think about it. A girl broke up with her bf but found out he was cheating on him so she is really upset and want to get him back How the film was shown and Gillian's innocence fooled me throughout the film and probably everyone else who saw this

Charlene was considered a newcomer when she did "Diva Ah Hey!" She had done a few films before that...Well, I'm glad "49 Days" did so well! I bet even if Gillian had so much fans, they couldn't take up so much of the population to have the film in fourth place? The film was pretty decent and Gillian acting was nice too. I guess it's just some people who still don't want to acknowledge this point. I mean there was this person who claimed Gillian didn't act like a lawyer and such before so I told her Gillian's character isn't supposed to be a serious lawyer. She became back and told me that she wasn't specific enough and she meant that Gillian didn't do a good job on being a non-serious laywer

How come Twins doesn't sing "You're the Bravest"? I really want to hear how they sound in live with this sing especially how relatively close Charlene's voice sound like Gillians! Hm...that's an interesting observation. I can't come up with any reason why Gillian shares some of Charlene's verse but it's problem one of those things we wouldn't get of EEG

macy and jelly_bean Thanks for the pictures of Vic. ZaiZai looks really cute in those pictures! I wish ZaiZai could have a drama with Gillian. Gillian fits right into those manga characters! Sweet and innocent and sometimes, in unexpected events turns clumsy and comedic. It's going to be a miracle if EEG let's Gillian film with such a popular teen idol in Taiwan like ZaiZai...

Now you mention it, i really do think Gill fit in Japan manga. Where the female character ALWAY innocent, and sweet just like our Gillie. I can totally see Gill in that kind of movie. Maybe TVB should produced Japan manga like Taiwian seires like " Just Start With a Kiss" or " Devil Beside You ", " Tokyo Juliet". Those are petty famous Japan manga out there. I can see her with Vic, OR Edison play the main character, or TVB can pair her up with one of TVB's own actor nowaday.
Back to the whole Gill's acting is oh-so-worst, i guess they cant get over the fact that Gill HAVE and WILL continued to improve on her acting, singing and dancing. They just jealous that she improve in such a short time been, what can i say, Gill is a smart cookie.
I don't get why Char win that award when she DID had several film before, that show how bias they are. But whatever, we not going to discuss this here, or char's fan will say that we bashing their idol when we just state something that called " fact"
I do think the movie Diary IS spinning off both Gill's film Beyen Our Ken and 49 Days. what a copy-cat. If they want her to win the award, at least make some original film, instead spining off someone's movie and make it their own. Even the movie Diary get Char nominated Best Actress, i REALLY doubt she will get the award. There are plenty of actress who deserved better then her. Then again, yu never know, maybe EEG WILL BUY the award for her, like how they been treating unfair for Gill.
I still keep my hope high about Any and Gill working together. That would be so great, maybe they will do tragic romance movie; that would fit Gill's character. Up until now, they didnt have any news or anything about it, i don't think EEG or Mani will let Gill work with Andy. EEG let Issabella doing lesbian movie, and NOT let Gill's have some romance onscreen, what they try to do? keep Gill from kissing other co-star she have?man, the more i think about it. Omg she is so cute saw her in those 2 weird movies about her being some vampire slayer. It was a bad movie but she looked really good in it and saw her in a TVB series and just complete fell in love she looks a lot better then her Counterpart in TWINS dunno her name but yea hope to meet her one day ahhaha

The " Twins Effect 1" is SOOO much better then the second one. It got nothing to do with the first one , if they going to make is different at least named it different you know. Jackie Chan's son is just awful, in acting of course.
I never know Gill in TVB series, she did a guess star some of it, but it was like few episode.
I want to see her more in any kind of movie. It'll help her acting improve more, then shove in to anyone who keep saying how bad it is.

wow it's been quite awhile since i've last written in this thread...and boy was there a lot of catching up i had to do! This thread just keeps on expanding and I’m happy to see there’s a whole lot more gillian supporters joining in on the discussion. It seems that a lot has happened in this thread what with the whole gill vs. sa fans and i'm glad that the whole ordeal has pretty much blown over ...so other than that sentence i'm just not going to mention it anymore.

anyway…wow gillian’s just getting prettier and prettier as the days go by and you can really tell by her features that she’s lost a substantial amount of weight over this short period of time…I just hope that what gillian had to do to lose weight wasn’t as harsh as joey’s diet when she was told by mani to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time. I remember reading quite some time ago that when joey was dieting, all she did was take pills and when there was a dinner, she even said herself that all she was allowed to do was lick the fish bones.

For the new twins movie, I was anticipating for it to be released during this year, but I guess I’m willing to wait seeing as to how tian liang (is that his name?) is no longer in the movie and the love triangle has been erased (not that I’m as against the whole love triangle thing as most of you guys on this thread seem to be). Honestly, when I read that tian liang was going to be in the movie, I wasn’t as shocked as I was disappointed that EEG was putting someone with no acting abilities whatsoever into the new twins movie because he just so happened to be in the EEG company (weird huh…I would have never thought he was in the EEG company but I saw in an old E-Buzz show that had tian liang coming out of the airport with loads of bodyguards and who other than mani walking with him). Now that he’s out of the picture and you’ve got the legendary Sammo Hung and Jason Wu in the movie (they were great in SPL), I’m really looking forward to it and I’m praying that this movie will not only have some hard-core martial arts but actually have a good plot, lines, setting, acting, conclusion, etc. However, I just wish that they would put in a hot guy in the movie just for some eye candy (maybe Nicholas or Daniel Wu?). just a thought.

As for gillian cooking, gillian said that she was decent at cooking but I really can’t imagine her in the kitchen because I remembered back to the conscience discovery mv when gillian had to cut the apple and she wasn’t used to cutting fruit and so the shapes came out all funky lol. Although I wouldn’t mind having gillian appear in Beautiful Cooking, I personally hope that the alex and gillian rumors don’t resurface once again because I never liked them as a “couple”.

A little off-topic, but while I was looking at my horoscope, I checked to see which signs gillian was most compatible with and it said that aquarius’ best love matches were aries, libra, and sagittarius, meaning that since edison, daniel, and jimmy lin (he’s so adorable… I love him!) are all libras, they’re perfect matches with gillian…and with gillian they also happen to make my favorite couples!

That was Charlene's first movie with a starring role and she did perform it well. And it's an honor for her to be even nominated and one not simply based on popularity but on talent too. And don't judge whether Charlene deserves the award BEFORE you see the movie. Come on

I hope Gillian does work with andy and that it is a tragic romance story too. I do believe that Gillian has great potential in excelling in this genre. She has a face that can just naturally express sorrow. And a face that's impossible to not fall in love with, too! The age thing...ehh, it's acting, who cares? I would much rather see Gill couple with a younger man, yeah, it looks better....but working with Andy could really boost Gill's career since he is such a respected actor in HK.

這次Twins發片打歌，身為她們的好朋友兼師弟的關智斌（Kenny）也專誠前來打氣，加上近二百位熱情的歌迷全程和唱，令超級紅人館全面熱起來！

Was this the mini concert from a few weeks ago that Twins had? Because if it is, TVB is going to be airing it on the 15th! I really hope that they don't cut out the KG duet, because TVB tends to shorten these mini concerts. Like what they did with the Lady In Red concert, each artist actually sang their whole song and other songs too when they performend, but TVB shortened the whole concert to 20-30 minutes when they aired it and cut ALOT of parts out. So hopefully, TVB won't be doing that to this concert.

Hey, have you noticed that Gillian's started to wear more tanktops/short sleeves after we had a discussion about how she's always covered up from head to toe? I'm glad Gillian's wearing lighter and less cloth for her outfits now, even if it's not for appearance but for Gillian's sake. It's practically burning this summer! I have no idea how Gillian could've survived with all those long sleeves or jackets covering her all the time! Geez, I was wearing a T-shirt and did some jogging out for about an hour under the sun, and my shirt was SOAKED from sweat. Trust me, not a beautiful experience. Anyway, it's great seeing Gillian's change in outfits.

That's what I read from this encyclopedia of the 'Golden Horse Awards'. My dad's a total craze for the information about all the award ceremonies for some reason, so I decided to skim it once and saw that Charlene was nominated for Best Newcomer from 'Diva Ah Hey!'. I suppose she should've been nominated for 'Funeral March' rather than 'Diva Ah Hey!' since that's the first film she's done solo after Twins have officially been formed. Charlene was more recognized in 'Diva Ah Hey!' than 'Funeral March' though, but then even Isabella had to take 'Bug Me Not!' as her nomination to the newcomer award because it is her first film produced though 'The Eye 10' was screened first. I don't know...... 'Next Stop Diva Queen' was nominated as 'Best Themesong', but it didn't win either. There was a snapshot of Gillian in the book, but that's because TTE II was nominated for something about the action in the film; I guess putting Gillian there shows it all? Anyway, Gillian hasn't been nominated for anything in the Golden Horse Awards yet. I wish there was a book published for Gam Zhi Ging Awards as well; we could use something to remember Gillian's achievements in.

I think Gillian did a good job in the film, but her character seemed more of a supporting character since the plot moreso related to Stephen's character instead. I believe she did what she could to the character; Gillian didn't have many personal scenes to herself. The people who claim that Gillian's acting in '49 Days' was terrible just simply make themselves sound so 'convincing' because 8 out of 10 use the point of how Gillian didn't act like a lawyer in the film to support their claim. It's either they couldn't come up with a good reason to back themselves up or they were snoozing through the whole film because since when was Gillian's character an actual hardcore lawyer? The type of lawyer that she is is merely a solicitor since Steven mentioned that she practically only handles divorces and other little things. Being in court defending for murder is a barrister's job. A solicitor taking on a barrister's job isn't an easy thing, especially for Gillian because she's just a somewhat naive girl who believes that right will always win over wrong. Her dad was even scolding her in the beginning about how she's never had any big achievements as a lawyer, Gillian just didn't want to lose, therefore taking on Stephen's case. Her best scenes were those with her family because she portrayed that little girl character who just couldn't lose her debations.

Yeah, the only times that Twins have actually sung 'You Are The Bravest' were during the promotions of their CD, but never on an official show or at an official event, so we don't get much of an insight on this song. It's always either have been 'Around The World With Eighty Dollars' or 'I Really Want To Love Him'. I wonder if Charlene will be able to keep her soft tone as she did in the CD version? Rewatching the clip again, I noticed that it's not just the songs that Gillian's sang solo, it happened for 'One Time Not Twice' as well; Gillian sang one of Charlene's lines with her as well. Another thing I've noticed, Twins' standing positions aren't as rigid in this performance. Gillian didn't have to stay on the left side, and Charlene didn't have to stay on the right side. Actually, their standing positions were pretty much reversed with Gillian on the right and Charlene on the left in this performance. Anyway, Gillian seems to have gotten better at her dancing; she's gotten to be more loose with her body now when compared to the concert they had earlier this year. The dancing looks so tiring for them; they were just sweating so hard during the first part of the performances. Maybe even Charlene wanted to get the dancing part over with by skipping a verse during 'One Time Not Twice', but she and Gillian weren't quite on the same page since Gillian kept going with the upcoming verse. It caused a little collision there. The slow songs must've felt like total relief for them.

You know, I don't know if it's a good thing that Twins switched places during this performance. If they stood where they usually stand, the one getting hit would be Gillian, but because Charlene stepped over to the left side this time, the glowstick hit her instead. Not that I would want Gillian to get hurt, but it kind of feels like Charlene took a bullet for Gillian there.


Woah, that's hardcore weight losing. I suppose Mani just has a passion of having her artistes be skinny so that their looks will better. Joey may have sharper features now that she lost a lot of weight, but is it really that healthy for her? I hope Gillian doesn't wreck her health system from losing weight.

I'm very sorry about that; I found that I made a mistake about what Charlene was nominated for when checking it over in the book. It's the HK Film Awards instead of Golden Horse as well. So please don't be mad at jelly_bean; just blame me for not getting my facts straight before saying it.

I agree that Charlene did a great job in 'Funeral March'; I still think it's one of the best roles she's received so far.

Yes, this is it! Yay! It's finally airing! I hope it doesn't get cut into little fragments, at least spare the KG duet. It's something we've been anticipating on for ages. There most likely won't be a second chance for KG to perform it again, so I really hope it gets aired. It might not be cut as bad as the 'Lady In Red' concert because this mini concert is a show that airs regularly on TVB8, so it may be the whole thing if we have luck. 'Lady In Red' was a random event, so that may be why it was cut. I wonder why though? The 'All About Men' concert wasn't cut at all.

Um..what channel is that going to show on? Cause I got JadeWorld TV and I don't know if it's showing on that.

Hey I wrote a post earlier and it got deleted! Anyways.. it was about the glowstick inncident. Like what Little_Purple_Bell said if Gillian was on the right (which she is usually on) then she would have gotten hit, but instead this time Charlene went to the right...what a nice best friend! But I think they did it on purpose because first they wanted to hit Gillian but she dodge it and Charlene went "wah" and then they threw it again but it hit Charlene this time.

TVB8 is the channel that it's going to show on; it's the mandarin channel.

This summer is like the hottest summer or something! The weather keeps on having "mood swings" too...lolx...Global Warming...tsk tsk..We should applaud Gillian for being able to wear all these long sleeves on the hot days! I can't stand heat at all.

This is such a bad picture with bad quality... Joey's pose looks really funny while Charlene's smile looks a little creepy. The only one that looks decent is Gillian's picture but the dress makes Gillian's waist look a little "thick".

Let get back to Gill, i agree Gill wear less cloth now. I guess she feel confortable about her figure, and since she did loose little of weight, might as well show the world. I found an album review from a magazine, 'Xpweekly'; I also made a translation of it as well. This review sounds pretty general and rigid. The reviewer is speaking of facts to support his/her points, which is a good thing. Some reviews in magazines aren't very general either; there was one that I read about Kary's debut album, and the reviewer said something like Kary isn't up to par to Joey, so her album's no good. Wouldn't Kary be in Miriam's spot right now in Gold Label if she was supposed to be up to par with Joey? Anyway, that was off-topic, but I just wanted to make my point of how some official reviews aren't general. I can tell that this reviewer is more in interest of challenging and upbeat songs by looking at the recommendations; any regular reviewer would be bound to place 'I Really Want To Love Him' in the recommendations section. Then again, I can't deny that 'I Really Want To Love Him' really is a karaoke song, but Gillian and Charlene have improved on their singing techniques from that song than before.

Twins transform back to the teenage girl style; it somehow gives off a feeling that they're going back from mature to youthful. Liking it or not is purely personal preference. The only difference is that their songs in this album are mostly brand new Mandarin songs produced by Taiwan producers instead of always changing the lyrics of their Cantonese songs as they did before; this is an actual big difference.

Generally speaking, the quality of the songs in the album are above average, and it's high in terms of popularity. The tunes and melodies are plentiful and not narrow; they don't only consist of karaoke songs that can easily be sang by anyone, and that is a thing to be happy about. Yet even though the new Mandarin songs written for this album are of good quality, it doesn't serve the purpose of building up a good and distinct path of their team as their Cantonese songs do. In a way, it made the songs sound like they were sung by any regular Taiwan group with no difference at all.

Woo, Gillian solo get recommandation and that is a good news for Gillian. On the Biadu Gillian had drop to the 26 place and beat "around the world with eighty dollar which is on the 28 places.

It would absolutely be awesome to watch Gillian go crazy with her acting abilities instead of always portraying some type of calm and conservative character; I would love to see Gillian laugh in one scene then cry psychotically the next minute, with such a contrasting and unpredictable role, Gillian will surely bring home an award. I really hope Andy intends on exposing Gillian's hidden potential, which hasn't been polished nor even extracted by any director nor film so far.

So much has happened since I've been gone. Thanks for sharing this clip even though the quality isn't that audible and well but it's enough to make some comments and observations but I'll make them brief since there's still so much to discuss about at the moment.

Gillian's improvements based on this concert:
I am extremely proud of Gillian for finally extending out her notes so well especially in I Really Want To Love Him, you can totally sense how confident Gillian was as her voice stretched out the notes into the music. Gillian's voice seems to have regained back the solid element that has been missing in her previous live performances. Gillian's voice wasn't second to anyone, she completely projected her voice just as loud yet perfectly in synchronization with Sa's. Before, Gillian's voice was barely heard when both dancing and singing to fast songs but in this concert particularly, Gillian danced like no one was watching, sang like never before, and radiated with so much energy onstage, it was breathless watching and listening to how well Gillian performed both tasks. Gillian was obviously exhausted due to the heavy dancing but that didn't stop her from enjoying herself. Gillian was on fire, seriously. When Twins joined in the middle of the stage during Around the World With 80 Dollars, watching Gillian dance so sexyily against the background dancers, in my heart, I was like "Party on Gillian, go go go!" I've never seen Gillian so enthusiastic before. I could hear Gillian catching her breath from all of that jumping around but honestly, Gillian still sounded so lovely and in tune. Gillian never lost her smile throughout the entire show. If you were to listen to the live performance, you'll notice that Gillian has even extended out her notes in the songs moreso than Sa. Hm, a little side note, notice how Twins sang the la la la of Starlight Amusement Park then when Gillian sang it solo at 13:25, compare that. The song I enjoyed most was of course, I Really Want To Love Him. Gillian's voice was so vibrant, full of live, full of sorrow, and her facial expressions were pricelessly heartjerking. Gillian measured exactly when to release strength and when to lose grip, Gillian was completely awesome. In conclusion, Gillian improved: her volume, her strength, her extension, and her ability to balance both singing and dancing successfully. Can't wait to see more of Gillian's live performances.

Mainland China fans usually become quite aggressive during concerts so I'm not that surprised. I'm just glad those fans were just throwing glow sticks instead of climbing up on stage to attack Twins. I've seen a few Mainland China concerts where fans would just climb up the rail onstage and harass their idols, preventing their idols from continuing singing. How rude and insane. And I thought Mainland fans would have more manners since they supposedly reside in a much stricter system than ours. And what stinks even more is: the security guards don't even rush up onstage to help either. How weird is that.

Hm, perhaps Twins can't sing You're the Bravest live that well so they're avoiding possible bashings. Gillian has improved in dancing. She totally allowed her body to move and swing in synchornization with the fast melody and still managed to sing so beautifully.

Really? Hm, glowsticks were being throw at both Twins towards the end but the one that hit Sa on her neck at 22:00 was specifically aimed at Sa. If you notice, Twins had already switched places for a few seconds, enough to aim then shoot the glowstick directly at Sa since there was a large gap between Twins so there was no way that glowstick was by accident or thrown at both Twins, moreso towards Sa. But the first glowstick was thrown at Gillian though, not Twins. I'm just glad Gillian was able to dodge all of the glowsticks, all of that martial arts practice eventually paid off. Aw, when Sa was hit with that flying glowstick, Gillian glanced at Sa and realized how serious this situation became and Sa turned to Gillian like, "What the heck just happened." Hm, my own speculation, was Gillian able to dodge all of those glowsticks because there were less thrown at her or was Gillian just a swift mover or perhaps both? I mean, wonder why Sa was hit twice when those glowsticks were pretty visible, even the cameras caught a good view of them from afar. Anyway, those glowstick fans were pretty close to the stage despite that gap in the middle of the stage and audience, in order to aim so perfectly.

I'm so excited. Despite all of the bad news lately, at least there's some good news in the foul air. Ah, can't wait to watch this performance. Hopefully, nothing is deleted. Hm, perhaps there were more errors that occurred during the Lady In Red Concert than the All About Men Concert so more was deleted to make the show much more enjoyable. I'm sure the Kenny and Gillian duet was a pleasant collaboration considering the fact that Gillian seems to have regained back her confidence and solid voice beneath all of this chaos.

True, Gillian is shorter so the glowstick that hit Sa's neck may have made a mark on Gillian's face instead.

This is the clearest performance of 你最勇敢: You're the Bravest I've seen so far. Twins peformed really well. Ah, I love Gillian's voice in this live performance, so soothing and lovely. It's great to hear of how Gillian's slowly regaining her confidence as a singer; with her improved skills and her regained strong voice, she'll be able to evolve into a better singer in no time. Gillian's improved dancing was also a highlight of that bad quality clip. She didn't struggle as much with worrying about her dance steps, but she just went into relax mode and took her dancing from there; her dancing's much better now. Gillian really is getting comfortable on the stage now. Hope she'll be able to keep it up and keep improving!

Her enthusiasm was great during that performance, I agree. Enthusiasm during fast songs have always been a weak spot of Gillian's, but we can see that she has been working on it. The happy prancy songs are not as big of a problem for her anymore; she was able to pull off that performance of 'Transformation Party' wonderfully, even better than the CD version because her voice was much more alive during the recent performance than the recorded version. Extension of notes is a props for Gillian, glad to hear that she doesn't end off the notes so quickly but pulls them through and fade out slowly. The 'lalala' part in 'Starlight Amusement Park' sounded a bit awkward for me as well; it sounds so weird hear Twins or just Charlene doing the 'lalala' because of Gillian's solo version that we've heard, and even in the CD version, it's just Gillian's voice taking care of that part as well. I feel so proud because Gillain constantly offers up all these improvements!

Well, I've heard of how each place has their different customs, but security guards should have the same job all around, eh? Why are they hired if they can't even simply protect the artistes, which is the basic standard of their job? It is surprising of how Mainland fans could actually be wilder than overseas fans. You'd think they were the more preserved people? I just hope these events don't happen too often with Twins.


I don't know; it just felt that way for me. Gillian was good at dodging; that's for sure. There were quite a few aimed for her, but she dodged them easily. So I don't know, perhaps if Gillian stood in her usual spot, she would've been able to dodge it? I guess it is hard to keep track of your singing and be dodging glowsticks at the same time, even though the glowsticks are very visible.

If anything is deleted from their concert, just don't make it be the KG duet. They can cut out something else. Whatever it is, it cannot be the KG duet. I will seriously kill someone if it happens to be the KG duet that they're picking on. We're not going to wait so long for our miracle that actually happened and find a 'Oops, sorry but we deleted it.' statement thrown at us. Maybe the 'Lady In Red Concert' was deleted more because there were more people there. The 'All About Men Concert' only had the ten people that it involved present, but the 'Lady In Red Concert' had a couple guests, or how about the rest of Gold Label? Anyway, the guests had to sing their own songs, and the guests had to sing with one of the members of the album, and that probably took up a lot of time, so perhaps they cut stuff out to make it shorter and better for airing purposes.

It's my pleasure to share everything I find about Gillian. I'm very glad to know that Gillian's solo is recognized in HK by the media as well as in Mainland by online fans too. I agree it's great to know that there are others out there, who aren't necessarily fans, and they realize Gillian's potetial as we do.

The 'You Are The Bravest' performance was very well done! It was like CD version! Besides the part at the end when Gillian lost track of the beat, but she sang very well regardless. It shows of how Gillian can handle more difficulty now. I hope her solo will bring a surprise.

The intimate scene was quite bold of Gillian. Gillian was so mature, gentle, and absolutely beautiful. Just from the trailer, Gillian's acting abilities have explored a whole new level. Gillian's in depth eye contact was sincere and convincing, the small details Gillian's face expressed when Hu Fei extended out his hand to grab her's was lovely. When Gillian was hiding behind the door listening to Hu Fe and YZY, Gillian's sorrow was felt, an indication, tissue boxes must be present while watching the serial. I'm amazed how extended this serial has allowed Gillian to portray such sad and emotional scenes. Usually, Gillian would tackle a scene with tears on the surface but this time around as Ching Ling So, tears are just a small part of the whole equation, Gillian has to produce much more emotions to make those tears come alive, flood the screen with sorrow and pain, which was exactly what Gillian successfully portrayed. And then Gillian's death scene was the best. I can't wait to watch the entire death scene, just a small clip of it and it already brought tears to my eyes, I'm getting too emotional. The intimate scene was beautiful as well. Gillian stared directly into Nie Yuan's eyes and delivered her emotions so well. Gillian's acting abilities have achieved another breakthrough. If anyone still claims that Gillian's acting is stiff or not decent enough, they really have a major problem. Anyway, I have to go but I can't wait to discuss this trailer further in details later.

I'm surpise to find it that "I REally Want To Love Him didn't because it's been promoted so much and Gillian's solo didn't. The review recommend Gillian's Solo. I'm so happy for Gillian. Aww....I don't want her to die. It was so sad when I saw that little sneak peek of it....Athena's character was there when she died? I thought it was supposed to be only Hu Fe and Ling So during that scene. I was a little distracted from Gillian's dying that I wasn't aware if YZY was still in the room with them or did she leave....

The intimate scene: Gillian was nervous A mixture of the character's and Gillian's together. I think that scene is just as much as the trailer showed because Gillian wouldn't be able to go farther with that scene. I don't quite like that scene because it feels so wasted. It was so short and restrained that it doesn't feel as special as it should be It's probably going to be so short that when we wanted to sympathize with Gillian, it's going to be the next scene already which I supposed is when YZY came and found them together...and the sympathy would be towards YZY to some extend.

Hm, I was a bit distracted as well when I saw YZY next to CLS on the bed but I guess, it's much more heartbreaking because CLS grabbed both hands and place them together in consentment. I mean, CLS was already in enough pain, physically, but to join hands of the one you love and his true love together at the brink of death, that is already emotional suicide, poor CLS, can't even enjoy her peace and personal time with HF. Hm, perhaps HF and CLS did spend some final moments together before YZY barges in the room? From what Nie Yuan described on his blog, it was an extremely emotionally intense death scene, just HF and CLS; hopefully, that is the case.

The intimate scene was actually lengthy to me. I must say though, the cameras and everything altogether made every HF and CLS scene so perfect, so pure, and gentle. Even the intimate scene was beautifully coordinated and captured, the light, the angles, and whistling wind, quite romantic actually. Gillian tremendously improved. Before, Gillian wouldn't be as direct and convincing through her eyes. Gillian was great in Beyond Our Ken but in comparison to her most recent performance in this serial, Gillian's eyes have a different vibe to them, completely indulging and real. No wonder, even Nie Yuan himself couldn't really distinguish the difference between Gillian and CLS, that's how convincing Gillian has grown into her character.

Can't wait until the release of this serial. Gillian is too irresistable.

i LOVE GILLIAN CHUNG!!! she's the BEST of all!! SHe's soo Beautiful and Talented!!! No one can top her!!! and that is a FACT!!!!!

CLS is such a selfless character; she still puts HF and the one he loves first before herself even at the moment of her death. It really seems like all she wants is for him to be happy, so that's why she was willing to reunite the two just before her death because CLS was somewhat a barrier between YZY and HF. I believe YZY is actually present for the whole time of CLS's death because from the arrangement of the scenes from the trailer, it seems as though CLS's poison comes up after she gives the antidote to YZY. After eating the antidote, YZY feels much already, but CLS falls over with her own poison attack. It seems that way because YZY was sitting on the inner side of the bed to the wall while CLS was in the middle with HF to her other side. Hm, Nie Yuan's blog description really made me think that it was just HF and CLS during that scene; it's funny of how he didn't mention a word about YZY nor Athena. Perhaps YZY didn't have much of a part in the scene though she was present. She may have just been there for CLS to reach out and bring towards HF.

The intimate scene wasn't bad; it's decently placed together. I believe that it's the whole scene there already. They'll show the scene of where CLS's and HF's faces were a centimeter apart, fade out, shoot down from the ceiling, and we'll see CLS and HF with the first layer of their clothes on while YZY comes in. The part of when Nie Yuan held onto to Gillian's shoulders looked a bit awkward to me; it didn't feel like it fit well with the rest of the scene.

I feel that Gillian has improved with her acting as well. It looks like it's just as good as her acting in BOK, if not better. The one positive thing about serials are they allow more lengthy scenes to show the character's emotions in depth with several scenes of accumulation. With films, you just really have to know what you're doing because you're only given one or two minute(s) to sort your portrayal out. This trailer does Gillian's acting more justice than the last one; the last one barely showed anything specific of CLS. This one, it shows a few scenes here and there which show her emotional portrayals so well. Her eyes sent the message clearly across even without speech. It sure shows why Gillian made such a deep impression on Nie Yuan. I hope the Mainland audience will be able to give Gillian's acting more recognition or at least become familiar with her, for Gillian isn't very known for acting in many parts of Mainland. Hopefully, this serial will be bought by TVB and aired in HK; that way, the HK audience will be able to refresh their minds on what Gillian is capable of. Maybe Andy would like to take a look at this to see how competent Gillian is to take on an emotional role.

No, the mandarin voice doesn't belong to Gillian. I wish they had a better voice for her, no offense to the dubber. Well, the serial is going to be released sometime this year, and the serial has been its filming already, so I'm not surprised that they got to the dubbing already. The faster the edits go, the sooner we'll see the serial, right?

As for when her shoulders are held by NY, it's meant for it to be that way. HF didn't want CLS sacrficing her body to help him get rid of his poison, so that's why he was rejecting. He didn't even want YZY to do it, and he actually loved her, so never mind about CLS.

It seems as though the characters of CLS and MRL are more interesting than YZY, despite that YZY is the female character with the most screentime. CLS and MRL are both ladies who have a lot built up on their shoulders, and they both have their extreme, painful moments. The trailer didn't give much insight on YZY, which makes it seem like there isn't much appeal for Athena's acting. I wonder if the serial itself will do Athena and her character more justice? I know what I'm looking forward to about CLS, and the trailer showed that MRL will have her difficulties about vengeance as she grows up into a young woman.

I could listen to a little of the sound though; some of it's so fuzzy, and some parts are just drowned out by the yelling of 'Ah Giu!' by the audience. Twins were there to give words of encouragement to Sun Boy'Z, but they were actually talking about Steven more; Dennis and William were just kind of there. It was funny when Steven got personal with Gillian. It shows how Gillian is good friends with Steven!

Anyway, this is what Charlene and Gillian said as encouragement in the end. I should listen to it again to see if I can make out the beginning and the middle.

Charlene: Within the three, we've known Steven the longest since Steven was in Boy'Z with Kenny before. Back then, Steven was just like a little kid, like a young boy. After going through so much, he has grown up. We are really happy of seeing him improve in many places; he's not as lazy as he used to be. He's hardworking now, hardworking at singing and dancing. (Voices said something from the back.) Hey! I'm talking here! (William: Sorry!) I'm teaching you a lesson; you have to listen! Okay, I'm done.

Gillian: For the three of them, we've watched them all come into the showbiz. Steven used to have Kenny to take care of him, but now he has to take care of two juniors himself. Observing from the side, we are bound to see how much he's grown up and matured. I hope you guys will be able to work harder. (Sun Boy'Z: Thank you!) (MC: Could they call you if they have any problems?) Yes! You guys can call me, but don't call too late at night! You don't have to tell me about your love life either! (Steven: How about yours? You can tell me about your love life!) I'm not paying attention to you!

Haha...Steven is soo funny! Gillian love life?? Hm..wonder who could that be? Where did you find the clip? I don't get why people call Steven lazy? I never saw Steven being lazy... ahh..whatever.. as long as SG are friends!

Bummer. I was hoping for a final personal scene between HF and CLS before CLS is out of the picture but I guess, YZY just won't allow that to happen. Either way, Gillian was just too convincing with her tears. I noticed that Nie Yuan absolutely has no chemistry towards Athena whatsoever. Seems like he's just purely acting; Nie Yuan seems more comfortable with Gillian and Ady, his scenes with them aren't as rigid. Hm, wonder why Nie Yuan never mentioned YZY/Athena in the death scene as well? Nie Yuan seemed to be so fixated on Gillian as CLS.

The intimate scene was nicely filmed and pasted together. I'm just glad that Gillian was bold enough to portray such an emotionally intense and daring scene. When Nie Yuan held out to Gillian's shoulders, my heart tensed; it was a bit awkward watching that. But I loved the color of that scene though, just black and white, no distinct colors, which depicts such a sorrowful, serious, and profound situation for both HF and CLS.

You're right. Even if this serial was to flop, at least Gillian had the opportunity to work with other actors and explore her acting potential. I love the extended crying and emotional scenes, so wonderfully carried out. Hopefully, others will see Gillian's major improvements as well in this serial. I personally believe Gillian performed better in this serial than in Beyond Our Ken but I'm not sure if others will agree. I guess, we just have to wait for the actual serial to release to finalize our judgments but so far, this trailer has exposed a lot of Gillian's strengths. Hm, Mainland somehow loves to criticize pretty actresses as being vase eye candy so I wouldn't be surprised if Mainland didn't enjoy Gillian's portrayal as much because Mainland usually supports their own local actresses. I mean, you would think that the division between Twins is bad, there are major fan groups that are even much crazier just like those fans that threw glowsticks at Twins. Mainland would be a nice opportunity for Gillian to shine further into the Mandarin market but hm, I wouldn't invest much hope. Our hope would moreso reside with Andy.

Yeah, the serial is close to being released since the dubbing has already taken place. I hate that Mandarin voice for CLS as well; sounds so old. But the ironic thing is, if I'm not mistakened, this was the same Mandarin voice used for XLN, The Return of the Condor Heroes 2006, which means, Gillian has quite an important role, a lead lol. Anyway. The Return of the Condor Heroes 2006 was a decent hit; hopefully, Gillian as CLS will follow that pattern.

True. CLS and MRL both seem to have much more interesting characters than YZY or perhaps it's just how Athena portrays the role that makes it a bit unappealing. I'm only anticipating on watching Gillian's portion as CLS, after that, I quit. I can't bear to watch Ady as a butchered and altered version of MRL, Wong Jing style. Too many misfortunes for Ady's MRL, I would rather choose to die like Gillian's CLS versus getting raped, married to someone else, almost killing off the one I love, and revenging the wrong person; sorry for any spoils guys. Poor Ady, MRL.

Aw, Gillian's words of encouragement were so beautifully placed together. I mean, it's encouragement right? Shouldn't be mentioning negative things like being lazy but rather sugar coding with, working harder etc. I love how Gillian expresses her support as she shares that Steven has grown up and matured, now taking care of two other juniors. Gillian and Steven are too cute and comfortable with each other.

Hm, we could see where Sa got that lazy idea from, Mani. I found Steven to work just as hard in Boy'z as Kenny as well.

The color of Gillian's face suits the image but perhaps having Gillian looking straight into the camera would help make the picture more convincing.

Good manipulation, it doesn't have a touch of fakeness but because Gillian's face seems to be crooked especially the smile, the photo turned out a bit weird, just find a better view of Gillian's smile, it would look perfect.

It's been a while since I came back. No, no, u guys didn't scare me off. I've always been here. Well except from pages 40 to about pages 50, i was gone but now I'm back. Whenever I try to reply, i dunt have time and you ppl (LPB, asillysaint, bluehearts) always type so much so I've gotta read them all and then it keeps building up. Today I have time so I'm gunna write before anything interesting happens and I continue to wait again. Lol.


I luv wat both Twins said. So sweet and inspirational. Sa expressed more critical but encouraging things. The whole thing bout Steven being lazy and stuff was actually real. He admitted it himself after the split but that doesn't concern Gillie so I'll skip it. Gillian's last line is so cute!!! I'm not paying attention to you!. Lol!!! As much as i LUV SC, SG makes a cute combo too!!! But KG forever man!!!! Gillian's words are encouraging but the fun aspect is still there. Hehehe.....



Luv the last one. Really realistic and adorable. The expression and everything fits the pic. Great job!!!! The 3rd one, her smile makes the face looks weird but it looks almost flawless, just that her smile looks crooked. You flipped the orginal right? I hate it when that happens. My pic turns out hideous when that happens but urs turned out fine just awkwardness alittle bit. The other two are gorgeous. Gillian needs more beautiful ancient hairstyles!! She looks so angelic in ancient clothing. I made an old manip of Gillian using Tavia's clothing in TOB but I can't find. I'll post it when I can.

I wonder if Gillian's restrictions only apply to productions of the big screen? Or is Gillian finally getting some progress of her scenes to be allowed of being more intense? It's pretty unexpected for Gillian to be able to do something like that on-screen, considering her restrictions. At least, the 'little girl' is finally growing up, in terms of what she can do on-screen, despite the fact that the 'little girl' is twenty five already. Anyway, I liked everything of how the scene between CLS and HF was arranged, except for the part where he holds her shoulders; it just felt weird to see the scene suddenly pop up.

Yes, that's right; at least Gillian has already pocketed some new acting techniques and improvements from filming this serial, whether the result is successful or not for the serial in general. With that, Gillian can always bring up what she's learned later on in another project, if she manages to receive another project in the near future. I hope the actual serial will come out soon, then we can actually judge completely on our observations without guessing on things. Hopefully, the serial won't have to wait until it starts snowing to match the theme. Let's hope that even if Gillian gets criticisms, there'll still be debation about it with people who look past stereotyping. It would be the best if Gillian wins over a good amount of fans for her acting in this serial; if not, we can hope that HK directors/producers can see her performance and give her opportunities. Gillian's and our biggest hope right now is still Andy; I hope whether good news or bad news, Andy can give some insight on his hope to work with Karena and Gillian soon and if any action's going to be taken soon.

It's such a pain to see that HF only loves YZY in the serial when obviously most will side with CLS, if not then MRL. It was so sad to see MRL being slapped by HF when she just made a tiny mistake of watering the plant. YZY just hasn't been given much appeal so far along the line. The females seem to be in a range: CLS is the simplest character because all she hopes for is true love, and when knowing she has no chance, she just hopes for the happiness of the man she loves; MRL seems to be the most complicated character because of all her misfortunes and the plans she has in her mind, it could really make a person go crazy if you've been through as much as MRL; YZY, it leaves her as the mediocre character, she's definitely not a simple woman like CLS, but nor has she been through as many things as MRL. She's more or less the ultimate love of the leading man, and CLS and MRL just simply have to step aside and do all they can for her because HF loves her. I think I might quit after CLS dies off as well, but I may finish the serial just to not feel like I left something incomplete. Maybe skim the parts afterwards a bit, or maybe I'll be in the mood to fast forward every scene that I don't see Gillian in and finish in a small amount of time.

I really liked that part of when Gillian and Steven just started a little bickering conversation; it was so cute! I wonder if Gillian could actually trust Steven with the insights of her love life? He seems to straightforward with his tongue, so probably Gillian should stick with Joey as the person that she talks about her love life with. Gillian is pretty frank with what she feels, so I do believe her when she expresses that Steven has matured and learned how to take care of others. We can actually see it with our own eyes. Steven's still his funny self, but he's learned to be more cautious with others and the things around him.

Well, Steven admits himself that he had been lazy back in Boy'z in an interview because he used to always rely on Kenny, who is,keep in mind, four years older. It's understandable; Steven was 17 back then, so obviously his mind wouldn't have been as settled down as Kenny's. Even though we see him always joking around and laughing off, Steven is scared. He has expressed that he takes every one of the chances given to him as his last chance; he said he understands that if he doesn't pay up with improvement, the next thing EEG could do could be kicking him out completely instead of regrouping. I think Gillian somewhat feels the same. From that personal interview of hers, we can see how she craves for chances. They aren't given to her very often, or at least the good ones aren't, so she just has to offer up her best and improvements. How could either of Gillian or Steven know what crazy plan EEG has in store for them? It's not easy for them to be the least favourited among the EEG artistes.

Ooh! That's a nice manipulation! It looks so romantic... Kenny's manipulation looks very real; Gillian's is good as well, but I think if her head was tilted a bit more, it would be perfect.



I LOVE this one so much! Gillian looks so adorable with Leila's hair and outfit from 'The Legend Of Love'! It definitely looks real! You could fool someone with this picture. Wouldn't it have been awesome if 'The Legend Of Love' actually starred Kenny and Gillian since they sang the themesong? I'd like to see Gillian in an ancient costume something like Leila's in TLOL. CLS's wardrobe and hair was disappointing, but her character and Gillian's personal performance are going to make up for it!

Hmm, maybe i should just create a poster... would anyone have a picture of Gillian wonderfully suited to be blown up and printed on glossy poster paper? haha. My sister painted me a huge pic of Gillian (she loves to just paint), but the painting is a bit off... she got Gill's nose and eyes and lips all wrong!!! I love it, but its not authentic Gill... haha

Also, how does everyone in here feel about fanfic about Gillian? Can anyone see a story written for Gillian to be the main protagonist? i hope im not the only one...

don't worry. you're not the only one. i'm sure many of us have stories. i do. of edison and gillian. winglin has a lot of stories and i have heard many others complain of how large the EG authors are getting. i'm guess a lot of people just like EG. i know i do, thus my writing stories with my poor abilities.

about large pictures...i'm not too sure but if you check the gallary of this site, there are 50+ pages of gillian alone. most, if not all are not small though, saddly.
