i'm so proud of gillian's new level of maturity in this new series. that intimate scene with her and nie yuan was very very mature and intense. it feels like gillian is finally starting to break out of her protective shell and taking on different scenes despite the restrictions still holding her down. i really hope that this is the start of new characters and emotions that ah gill will play and display down the road.

usually when i'm looking for new movies to watch, i go on lovehkfilm.com to look at the reviews and i looked on his recommended sites page and i went on the view from the brooklyn bridge site. there i found a review for 49 days and the reviewer basically said that the movie sucked (which i totally disagree) but he did have some very nice things to say about gillian: "She's played by Twin, Gillian Chung, definitely one of the prettiest faces in the world of entertainment today...Probably the biggest boon (blessing) for most comes in the gorgeous form known as Gillian. Classy beauty like this doesn't come along too often, and every chance to behold its magnificence has to be OK at the very least, even if it’s [in] a vapid flick like this one." although i don't agree with his review about the movie, i most definitely agree that gillian is one of the most gorgeous chinese artists ever!

Oh WOW!! i only gone for one day, and im already lost. It's all good, i read all you guy post, and i have to admit what you guy said was true. Thank you for Little _purple_ bell for the clip. Gill look really pretty, this is like the first series that Gill reveal some skin. I'm quite supprise that they didnt cut that part out like the part Gill kiss Stephen in 49 Days. Her crying is really convince and sorrow, she really play the part well. I would love to see her in more series or move like this. It's expand her acting more wide and more depht, so other people wouldnt use the excuse that she cant act at all, im sorry i cant get over that fact.
I watch her singing live, and it like her vocal got stronger, and in some song, it even overlap Char's. Which is good, she can sing freely and we can hear her voice, watch her on stage dancing with the backup dancer Gill is really move with th music. She dance freely and flexeable not that she isnt one already. In most of the picture Gill and Steven look really close, more then her and Char. WOW!! I guess most male artist like to be around Gill, i mean they been working together for quite long time now.

Off the topic. I know after i said this, there will be alot basing, but i just realize something. Do you know why EEG being treating Char and Gill differently, this morning i was talking to my friend, who also in the music bussiness over her (USA). I was complain to him how can some company treat two people in the same group differently, when both girls got SAME talent. He answer me really quick. It's either one of the girl sleep with them or her background, meaning rich family. It's got me thinking, the reason why EEG or Mani being giving Char alot of chance to be movie and promote her more then Gill because of Char's background. I hear some where that Char's parent is rich, not REALLY rich, but rich enough to buy their daughter way in the bussiness. Maybe im thinking too much, but maybe EEG did promote Char more because they HAVE to give Char's parent some face. If it's true then is so unfair for Gill.

Thanks for the clip! Now I can finally watch it instead of just listening to the audio portion. It was so cute when Gillian tied Steven's cape for him! The crowd started hollering as well! Steven and Gillian are just too cute together; like during the part when underpants were handed to Sun Boy'Z, Steven was just fooling around with it, sticking it everywhere, then Gillian just had to ask, "Where do you want to put it?" Steven responded, "They're taking pictures! Where do you want to assist me in putting it?!" Then Gillian just giggled nervously and held onto the underpants with him! Eventually, Gillian gave it back to him, and it got where it's supposed to be. On the side, Gillian was pretty observant of noticing that Steven's and Dennis' badges should be switched.

Here's a clip when Twins was on TVB ICU show. They showed the Pretty Cure MV. The MV was pretty decent, though in the beginning you couldn't really see Gillian face cause it was tooo bright! Also the clip in the beginning was funny, Gillian peed on herself in ballay class

Yeah it was really cute, and I didn't really noticed until you mentioned it so I looked back, and it was funny when Gillian hit his arm when he said "You could tell us about your love life". But I bet they do talk to each other on the phone... but Gillian is always working..

I'm not even sure if Mani knew about this scene since Mani was supposedly enjoying her sweet time in the States so perhaps Gillian was surprised herself when she flipped through her scenes and dialogue. Hm, this intimate scene contains much more exposure than a simple peck or kiss so hopefully, Gillian will be able to collaborate with Andy in a bold film genre as well. Or perhaps, since this serial will concentrate moreso in Mainland, Gillian's management crew is much more lenient on the content of each scene, intimate or not versus Gillian's local HK films that can threaten others.

With all of these alterations to every character, I'm not so sure about the success and acceptance of this version but either way, Gillian performed her best so whether Mainland enjoyed it or not, I believe the cast couldn't have done anything better than this, Wong Jing's bright ideas to the storyline is at fault, if this serial was to flop. Just from the trailer, Gillian's CLS is interesting and worth watching even if the plot stinks. I guess, Gillian alone, will already contribute half of the viewers; as long as Gillian is the sympathized character who only appears a few episodes, her character is too minor to ruin her image unlike HF, YZY, and MRL. Back in HK, Andy must really push EEG into accepting his invitation.

Gillian and Steven are extremely close but in terms of issues of the heart, Gillian would best trust Joey and Yumiko moreso than Steven. Steven is just a stress reliever who can make Gillian laugh and turn her frown upside down just like Kenny, their relationship is light, humorous, and sweet.

Well, I believe Steven was never lazy but because Mani kept imprinting that lable on him, Steven couldn't help but feel a bit lazy in comparison to Kenny. For instance, Steven is much more interested in dancing and rapping versus instruments and ballads like Kenny so whenever Kenny practices his music while Steven practices his with a bit of fun (come on, it's dancing), Mani perceives that as being lazy or just plain goofy, not serious enough. If Steven was so much lazier than Kenny and dodged practice etc., then why do both Boy'z fall into the same level of quality during live performances? Wouldn't Steven sound much worse? Anyway, I think Steven just loves playing baby to Kenny knowing that Kenny will always be there for him. I agree. Gillian and Steven seem to comprehend the importance of opportunities, solo ones that is. Aw, poor Gillian and Steven.

I agree. This intimate scene only comes to show how mature and in depth Gillian has become with her acting abilities; Gillian's best features, her eyes, have really brought CLS to life, every emotion, every painful memory, and every sorrow is contained in those two eyes, so convincing. I hope that Gillian will receive more mature roles like CLS but in films to show HK who Gillian Chung is, not just Twins.

I'm amazed at the delicate words used to describe Gillian's beauty. I agree as well that Gillian is one of the most beautiful stars HK has at the moment. As much as Gillian's beauty is a plus, it's also a factor that has stalled her acting career. Directors in general never choose a natural beauty like Gillian to portray perky or spunky roles, roles the HK audience love and support, only the conservative and silent characters are thrown into Gillian's basket of roles. Gillian really needs a grand opportunity to show everyone that a pretty girl can be just as convincing in any role, comedic, cute, serious, or just plain simple. Gillian needs to switch her beauty from a disadvantage into good use.

Even though the clip was a bit bright, Gillian looked awesome with straight hair. I like this music video in that, all of the scenes were equal. It wasn't so difficult was it to balance out the scenes so I don't understand why this type of pattern cannot be accomplised in other Twins music videos. Anyway, Gillian's eyes were huge, like anime's too. Gillian was beautiful in her dress outfit and so cute in the school uniform; thanks for sharing.

Just to answer your curiousity, Charlene's background is quite wealthy; I mean, just observe the house she grew up in, it's pretty up there. Anyway, there has been some insights that Charlene's father works or is somehow associated with EEG authorities. Charlene's father is a business man; I believe EEG once had to depend on his status to recover from their financial obligations. But some fans insist that even if Charlene's father does have some ties with EEG, it still has nothing to do with Charlene's career. Anyway, enough about Charlene.

Perhaps so. Everything in general was more equal and more loosened for Gillian while Mani was away anyway. It'd be so nice if Ng Yu could be in charge of the EEG artistes more; when he was in charge, things were so much better off for Gillian. Gillian was probably surprised and relieved that she gets to do something outside of the box for once. This scene speaks more than a kiss, and if Gillian was able to slip that in, there is no reason for her to be held from kissing. It could very well be possible as you've stated that because this Mainland serial won't bring much of an impact for Gillian in HK, she isn't so limited. Of course we all know the main reason of why Gillian is so restricted is because she is forbidden to bring any huge threats to others.

Well, these are problems with remakes. People will always compare to the earlier ones, and the earlier ones are most likely to be better because they are based more on quality rather than producing a serial just for producing a serial. Debation could either be good or bad; debation at least means that there are people noticing it and discussing about it, but then we're never assured about whether people will be stating in a general form or just stereotyping it and bashing it all the way through without taking notice of it at all. So far, Gillian's character of CLS does appear that Gillian will be safe from any harsh criticisms; her character is one that will be gaining sympathy throughout because of her sacrifices throughout her presence and because of her limited screentime. Limited screentime in this case is a good things since it will lighten any penalties held against her and her character. If anything does go on, the characters of HF and YZY will likely to be taking most of the bullets. From my guess, HF will most likely be hated because he lets a woman who is willing to sacrifice all for him like CLS slip away towards death while he still sides with YZY, and later on he'll cause another woman, MRL, misery of her life because of the same reason, YZY. YZY will probably be hated as well because she is the reason that things with the other females were placed out like this, and if her character is as dull as the trailer showed. Ady and her MRL may be spared a bit as well since her screentime probably won't compare to Athena and her YZY either. Does Ady have a big part in the serial as MRL? Larger than Gillian's or about the same?

Yeah, Joey has expressed to the media that Gillian likes to talk about her love matters with her, and Yumiko would be a good choice to speak with about heart issues as well since Gillian is good friends with her too. It's really good to have a variety of friends around you. Steven is probably quite important to Gillian with his role as a stress reliever because in no doubt Gillian does have a lot of stress around her regarding various things. It's also a bonus for us because with Kenny or Steven around, we see a goofy side of Gillian in public.

I don't believe that Steven slacked off as much as Mani and the media claimed either. Steven's always been more carefree and relaxed with his surroundings while Kenny is the more serious one. In terms of performance, Kenny and Steven weren't that far off from each other while in Boy'z, I agree. Kenny strikes the audience more with ballads while Steven shines during the upbeat fast songs. You can tell that distinction by the solos that they were assigned. With the dancing and fast songs, you'd figure that Steven would be goofy most of the time, but it doesn't mean that he's not serious with his work. Even though I think Kenny has a more stable voice with more emotions than Steven, if Steven practises more with his ballads, he can sound just as good as Kenny. His voice was great in 'Skip Grade Student' (跳班生); Steven actually led the ballad instead of Kenny. The little preview of Steven's ballad duet with Isabella showed that he made lots of improvements on his portrayal of ballads. Like Gillian, Steven just needs more solo chances, and who is here to say that Steven won't make it solo? Steven does love playing baby with Kenny. It's actually really cute for the both of them; if those brotherly actions are mutual as seen, then what right does Mani or the media have to assume that Steven's simply being lazy and making Kenny do all the work? For heaven's sake, they're still picking on Steven about laziness nowadays. Kenny actually went to the Sun Boy'z function as well; he rushed there from being on JSG to make it. When he went up on-stage, he immediately hugged Steven because he was so proud, and Steven was so touched.

Gillian needs a high quality ancient outfit. Perhaps she can receive a film role of modern times that involves a reincarnation plot so that she'll get to portray something ancient, seeing that HK films are rarely based solely on an ancient plot.


I guess they decided to do something fair this time, seeing that it's made for younger children. Wouldn't want to plant bad thoughts such as favoritism or biases into little kids.... This pattern with equal scenes should be followed for all MVs in my opinion.

I agree. No matter how much fans claim that their idols aren't being helped in any way with their careers when they're related to someone of high authority, they still have to believe it that there will more or less be some influence to it. The thing that makes the difference is whether the artistes work hard, try to improve, and have talents or are they just there because someone put them there with power. In case any Charlene fans are misunderstanding, no, I'm not implying anything negative about Charlene; I'm just stating that in general, being related to someone of high authority does give an artiste advantages. Sometimes things aren't just spoon-fed to them, but solely more chances and opportunities already make a huge difference in one's career. I don't remember whether Charlene's father is an actual EEG executive or is he a partner to EEG; I do remember that he was somehow in charge of the income of Twins concerts. It sounded like a big matter back then because there were reports claiming that he had been tucking part of the earnings in for himself since the word of suspicion came up about how could EEG still be losing profit of holding Twins concerts when each concert has been full? The news eventually faded and wasn't mentioned of though. Oops, getting off-topic again. Enough about that.

Twins sang together for the whole song, and Gillian's voice was actually leading the song from what I hear. It's probably because of the higher pitch of Gillian's voice, and cartoon songs are usually higher pitched and sweeter. I don't really like the song though; it just repeats itself a lot, and the melody was slightly weird.


No, Gillian didn't pee in ballet class. She peed herself when she was in kindergarten; they just showed a photo of her doing ballet after she said that because the show was showing various photos of Gillian's and Charlene's childhood throughout the interview, but it didn't correspond with what they were saying.


I liked her hair as well; if Gillian's hair does still have to stay curly for a bit more, I'd rather it be in these braids than the poofy curly hair. The braids make her look more energetic, and it somehow makes her features stand out even more than usual to me. I like her top, but I wish she would've put second thoughts on her pants.

On the side, Twins revealed more plans about their Genting. Reporters asked them if they'd want to do a hot and intimate dance with Kenny since he's coming as their guest, Charlene answered that they could think about it while Gillian joked and said, 'I'm just afraid that he isn't able to handle us both at the same time!' You know, Kenny doesn't have to handle them both at the same time; I'm quite fine with a little one-on-one. (j/k) They also said the concert will be at least 50% like the one held in HK, but some parts in the middle will be different. There'll be more medleys, and one new outfit is going to be made, but Gillian said that it may have a touch of sexiness.

EDIT: Ooh!! Another cute KG fact from the news today! Kenny's new album includes a photoshoot collection with it, and he has few sexy shots with it, so the girls, who are newcomers to EEG, who are supposedly promoting his album with him (?) were asked if they would like to act in one of Kenny's MVS. They said that they would hope to, but they would have to see how intimate they have to get. Then Mani, who was standing with them, burst Kenny's bubble and claimed that Kenny is very picky by saying, "He says that he is only willing to kiss Charlene, Gillian, and Ella!" Well, someone's been having desires about Gillian. He already kissed Charlene; he's gotten pretty intimate with Ella already, and I'd say the scenes with Ella pretty much equal to a kissing scene; the MV with Gillian was just hugging at the most , so I think KG deserves a kissing scene too. It would fulfill Kenny's 'wishes', and not to mention if Mani allows this for the sake of Kenny, then Gillian's restrictions will be off! Or maybe just for a one time thing, but that's better than nothing. It sounds so weird for Mani to associate Gillian with the term 'kissing' as well; you'd think she'd avoid it in any aspect, eh? Anyway, didn't Kenny kiss Koey before though? Or was he not willing to do that but did it anyway? He kissed Steven too, but Kenny was obviously forced on that one according to the film, lol.

The July 12th blog, a good amount of the movie seems pretty similar to asillysaint's idea. It would have been great if Gillian were to act in a movie like that, but seeing how Ella already acted in a movie kind of like that, if Gillian were to act in a movie with a similar plot, people might not accept it and say that Gillian's movie is copying Ella's.

This hairstyle looks great on Gillian even though it's still curly. Perhaps she should do her hair like that more often if the curly hair has to go on any longer. I like the first Xstep photo as well, seeing Gillian's cute pose and not to mention her straight hair!

The plot does sound similar; nevertheless, both ideas were good plots. I should try to get around of watching that film because it sounds interesting as a simple romance story. I agree that it would be great if Gillian could have an opportunity like that, but there may be things said about copying. It would just be good if Gillian could be offered a romance film.

WOW~ I think this one looks REALLY real, great job! I love GIllian, I like her singing voice and she's really pretty -- I think she looks the best with long straight hair like in Moving Targets (2004) heh, old movie, but I wished she played a bigger role in that though. Nice pictures everyone!

That what i mean, im not saying that Char's dad buy the fame for her or spoon-fed or anything. The thing having dad associated with EEG DOES help Char's career a little bit, no matter how muxh hteir fan claim because of talent. Char oes have talent, but having dad like that help her having more oppoyunities more then Gill. no wonder in most concert, Char alway have better outfit, not saying Gill is ugly, but Char's is more appeal. I find is very unfair for Gill, they both work hard but Char get more pay off then Gill. Some time I think Gill would do better if her manager wouldn't treat her unfair.

You know what's funny, earlier adaptations of these novels (80's versions) perhaps weren't even that popular, loved, nor accepted during their original release time but are probably only surfacing due to heavy comparisons and the original cast that used to be nobodies became mega somebodies today. For instance, this altered version of A Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain may not gain as many applauses now but 30 years from now, who knows? Nie Yuan and Gillian may become legends later on in some other grand project and people in general may review this serial with a different perception. Things like this happens all the time. Now, I'm not saying that these earlier adaptations weren't famous at all; of course, they were but perhaps not to the extent of how the audience today in general are stretching their praises. There seems to be a stereotype that the newer versions can never measure up to the older versions, some serials, that's true but for others, it's not. People just need to be open minded about each version in order to enjoy it.

Athena as YZY seems to have just as big of a role as HF while both Gillian and Ady have approximately the same screen time and importance, CLS is the one gaining sympathy points in the beginning of HF's chaos whereas MRL is the one suffering at the end of HF's mess. Hm, it does appear as though HF only loves YZY. Even though, MRL only enters the picture towards the end but her changes are too huge and surprising to digest. I'm sure her character will receive major complaints and criticisms. YZY has never really been a favorable character in the novel so after all of these alterations, she'll definitely be the most popular female character in a pool of criticisms that is. Nie Yuan as HF? Nie Yuan has his own charm but I didn't expect him to be a lead especially for this novel. For some reason, I feel that the cast is weakened by Nie Yuan. The serial itself is already difficult to accept, Nie Yuan isn't such a strong male figure to save the serial alongside three beauties. But I could be wrong. I'm not too concerned about the outcome of this serial because come on, having hope in Wong Jing productions is to shoot myself in the foot but I hope that Gillian's reputation and image won't be dented at all by this serial.

I agree. I totally loved this line: "Sometimes things aren't just spoon-fed to them, but solely more chances and opportunities already make a huge difference in one's career." I guess, some fans can never really accept that their idol has a backbone aside from talent and potential; it's difficult to pop their bubble isn't it? Well, that's reality. Anyway, I remember glancing at similar news about Sa's father being some type of business man involved with EEG. EEG has a lot of power, they can produce any type of media and tabloid they wish on an artist for promotions, on the same token, they can kill any piece of information or rumor that places them in a negative light. Come on, it's EEG, people in general are aware that EEG aren't the cleanest people, this type of thing shouldn't come as a surprise actually.

Gillian is too cute with her witty answer. Kenny doesn't need to handle anyone else but his own master, Gillian. I can't wait to see their new outfit. Sexiness? Hm, I don't how much sexier Sa's outfits can become. But as for Gillian's, I'm so excited. Gillian needs to show off her pretty figure.

Mani is . Kenny probably already expressed the desire to kiss Gillian a long time ago but Mani has been ignoring that request for quite some time now. If Mani had some decency, Kenny and Gillian would have already shared a special kiss in their Conscious Discovery music video just like Kenny and Sa. I mean, aside from music videos, Mani knows that Kenny and Gillian won't be able to collaborate much onscreen so it's a pity Mani let that chance slip by. Yeah, Kenny and Koey kissed. That kiss was . Anyway, hopefully Kenny and Gillian will have another opportunity to collaborate onscreen and musically, I hope they perform live again at Twins World Tour Concerts.

Oh well. There are still so many more scripts that will expose Gillian's acting potential. I'm just glad HK is willing to invest in such a storyline; I want to watch this film too.

I think this storyline was simple and cute, which suited Kenny and Gillian but I guess, it's fine. Gillian can always portray more challenging roles. I agree. If Ella already participated in a similar film, it's best if Gillian stars in another genre.

I think both Twins' concert outfits are fine but what bothered me the most were, the cover and songs/concert time. Sa had guest stars (Nic and her father) while Gillian had none. I mean, couldn't they have invited Stephen as Gillian's dueling buddy since Gillian's theme was martial arts? Sa sang three ballads and Gillian only sang two songs. On the concert cover (DVD Version), Gillian's face was either in side view (not full front) or her pictures were so much smaller than Sa's. Sorry but that irritates me a lot. During the concert, how the overall concert was edited totally geared towards Sa. Is it so difficult to perhaps concentrate on Gillian a bit longer to balance things out? That's why I really wish Gillian had sang a ballad along her two other fast songs so the camera can zoom in and out on Gillian as she just walks around to greet the audience. I couldn't see enough of Gillian while she was kicking butt onstage and dancing.

It would be nice if the chance for Gillian to kiss Kenny is high; I wouldn't mind seeing Gillian's first kiss go to Kenny. I wonder if they'll film anymore MVs for Kenny? They're selling the theme of Japan so much for his new album, so they shot all the MVs in Japan except for Kenny's duet with Isabella. I hope that KG could reunite on-screen sometime soon. Yeah, I know; Kenny surprised Steven at his birthday with a kiss on the lips! It shows how close they are!

Oh yes, you're right about how earlier adaptations of novels are much more loved during this time period rather than during the actual time of release. The stereotyping is very strong nowadays of how artistes of earlier generations can all sing/act while majority of the present generations cannot. I do agree of how there is more quality of artistes and productions back then, but I'd say there were still people who don't act or sing decently back then and people who are able to sing and act decently nowadays as well, unlike how it is perceived to the people who tend to stereotype about that fact. New adaptations could be just as good as the earlier ones, but I admit that there are remakes that are just horrible and right off stupid. Those who aren't able to stay open-minded just right away turn on the 'shut down' button right when they start to watch the new adaptations to criticize everything about it when they should give it a benefit of a doubt to watch it without prejudgement. Would there be any point of doing a remake if everything just went according to the earlier adaptations? Why don't we just go read the novel instead? That way we can get the most original information. But the producers do have to keep in mind to make good alterations and not go completely bizarre with the changes, like what we're seeing with MRL. There may just be a character or a part of the storyline that will be able to come clean through the put-downs. Perhaps people are just forgetting that the 'mega somebodies' are bound to have times back then where their acting weren't the best either. Just take a look at Maggie Cheung MY; she's a great example of someone who made it to her place now based on improvements of her acting. She was once criticized for bad acting, but she broke them through with her improvements. I really hope Gillian could work her way to prove people wrong as well; we, as fans, notice Gillian's improvements, but more has to be done to prove something to the general public which is already forcefully denying her abilities whether she does well or not.

Throughout all the adaptations of this novel except TVB's 1999 version, HF's only love had always been YZY, I believe. CLS and MRL appear through the different timelines to create the love triangles. With the three females, CLS has always been the favoured one for the readers and audience because of how much her character is sympathized for. Come to think of it, HF is an easily hated character as well. He causes all these messes and miseries for others because he didn't pick the right person to love. Geez, in the novel, the only reason HF didn't love CLS is because she isn't beautiful. I wonder how all those adaptations pulled that point off since they've nearly all chose beauties for the role? Anyway, CLS's character seems like the safest one out of the main characters; her character is simply made to lure tears out of the audience, and with the limited screentime, the audience will likely just remember how much she sacrificed and how she died. MRL's character sounds so extreme because so many things happen to here in such a short time, and the building of her character is definitely far off from the novel. She may face some criticisms, but she may be able to grab a few sympathy points here and there, perhaps? Come on, things that happen to her are most caused by HF, and she has to suffer a lot as well. It's just that unlike CLS's simple and direct sacrifices, MRL's suffers are more complicated and involve many other people; it's probably because they need to set things up to tie the strings and get ready to end the story. I don't have many comments towards the character YZY other than 'Good Luck'. Athena sounded pretty confident with YZY though; it's still kind of bad for her to be putting down the other characters of CLS and MRL just to show how YZY's character is so much better in that interview earlier, despite that YZY has been the least favourite out of them all. I agree about Nie Yuan; his three leading ladies are all more famous compared to him. Gillian and Ady may have the strength to save the serial a bit, but with their screentime, it's still not all that promising, considering it's Nie Yuan and Athena who basically carry the serial. Least promising of all, it's produced by Wong Jing. Wong Jing has made it clear that he intends on 'improving' the serial with changes. That statement actually sounded quite scary to me. I'm just anticipating on Gillian's scenes of emotions, and that's it. Everything else about the general plot, I have no hopes on, especially the ending part of the serial with Ady's MRL.


Yes, we can see that contrast clearly with the two members of Twins, the difference between more chances and less chances. I don't need to say anymore about that point since we've been through it, and we're all clear on it. I don't see why it's so hard to accept that for the fans; if their idol does have the potential and talent, shouldn't they be glad someone is there to give them the chances to show off with it? It would only be hard if your idol is actually one who is talentless but is just there in the showbiz because of relations though. The difference between those who have a backbone and those who don't is huge; can you believe that Mani was actually screamed at by Mr. Yeung when she didn't accompany Nic to the airport? Doesn't that show something? Usually Mani is the one to alter the fates of others and yell at others, but if she does something wrong to someone who has someone in a higher power than her, it's toodles to her as well with no exceptions. I guess everyone just has a different path paved for them. Sometimes, EEG appears scary because they seem like a corporation that is able to alter so many things into their favour. It's like that line in '49 Days' that Siu Chin's teacher said to her, 'With money, black could be turned to white, and twisted could go back to straight.' It's reality, but just knowing that makes the world another shade darker.

Perhaps their new outfits will be more matching? It'd be pretty bizarre if they intend to be making Charlene's outfit anymore sexier, so maybe they're making an outfit that's equally sexy for them? Or maybe they're making one for Gillian enough to be considered sexy in, but making Charlene's more sexier than Gillian's? I don't know; I guess we'll find out when the concert comes out. I agree, Kenny should only be responsible to Gillian because he's already given himself as a present to her. Because Gillian is worried that he isn't able to handle both, he'll done fine with just one.

Wasn't Mani away during the time of when Kenny and Gillian filmed the MV for their duet though? I think she was away, so we probably can't blame it on her unless she gave one specific order before she left, which is 'Gillian is not allowed to give out her first on-screen kiss out while I'm gone'. It could be possible though. I'm still not over the fact that so many scenes were filmed for the 'Conscience Discovery' MV, but so little were officially released. In my opinion, they could've cut out some of the scenes of where they were just standing and sitting around singing the song and replaced it with some cute scenes between KG. Where's Gillian's crying scene? The one that she was praised so much about? The MV, if in a perfect world, should've ended with KG reuniting instead of staying broken up; they should've hugged and shared a special kiss to make up with each other. It's also so crappy that the MV was never officially released; only the karaoke version has been released. They should've filmed something from their little celebration for Gillian's birthday at the end of their filming of the MV that Kenny mentioned about, the time when he tried to get Gillian drunk. Wouldn't it be awesome if this statement by Mani is some kind of foreshadowing about a possible kiss between KG? KG should get a film together like they were supposed to three years ago. Eh, but knowing Mani's doing, how could that ever happen? Even a MV collaboration between KG would satisfy me though. I hope they have more chances to collaborate musically in the future as well. It'd be so awesome if they decided to slip the duet into the World Tour Concerts. I mean, Kenny's there anyway, so why waste a chance to slip a duet in? I heard from a Malaysian fan that 'Conscience Discovery' actually made it on the chinese song chart in Malaysia; it stayed on for a few weeks. Come to think of it, it's actually pretty awesome being Kenny, he gets a free trip to Genting just by being a guest at Twins' concert! The kiss between Kenny and Koey (Darn, I'm still not used to calling her Celine! Koey sounds nicer anyway. ) looked a bit weird; it was kind of unnecessary to have the kiss there. What was the point of it anyway? Or what was the plot of the MV?

That would've been so awesome if Stephen was invited as Gillian's guest in fighting! Stephen probably would've accepted anyway because he is so supportive towards Gillian, but of course no such thought had been put onto mind. Seeing that they're still planning the format of their World Tour, I seriously hope that they make some adjustments for Gillian's solo part. Along with her two fast songs, Gillian should be able to calm down from her excessive fighting and sing a ballad. Gillian has a lot of strength in singing ballads, so it'd be great if she could sing one publicly solo. Perhaps she can sing 'One Collision Two Separations'? I'd love to hear her sing that, and she's expressed that she likes singing it as well. In a fair world, Kenny should be Gillian's personal guest this time around for the World Tours with the two of them singing their duet together because Charlene had her personal guests during their concerts in HK. It's always been such a hard task for them to do even when it's just focusing on Gillian a bit more or balancing things out a bit more. So simple yet so hard for them. I want some alterations to be made, just enough to balance things out are fine. Then perhaps if they make more changes than planned, they could release VCDs/DVDs for it? I'd still buy it if I knew that this one is much more balanced out between the two people.

The new generation of stars versus the older generation of artists is an absurd idea. Sure, tiny comparisons here and there are appropriate but to always compare the old and new generation of actors/singers/stars in general wouldn't make much sense, simply because, the older stars that are constantly used to point out flaws in the newer generation of stars are the best. They have endured and survived through the process of filteration and time against other stars who were weaker or less talented than them. They have achieved a certain degree of status, acceptance, and success, enough to still be visibly present in the minds of the audience. Not every individual who became a singer/actor 20 years ago is still remembered nor called as legendary, the ones we know of today are obviously the stronger ones who have chose to remain in the ET industry. The generation at present still have to prove themselves through the same process of filteration and time. It's like comparing a rock to a diamond, which wouldn't be fair. Diamonds (the older generation) were granted the time to make proper improvements in order to end up beautifully polished for everyone to enjoy whereas the rock (the current generation) are still undergoing changes and adjustments. Realistically, rocks would become diamonds, so there is no need to always compare the old and new generation of stars.

I agree. With each new adaptation, new changes and alterations are bound to happen, viewers need to acknowledge that; if they can't then, they mind as well read the novel for the most original version. Because of how quickly news and everything travels through the internet, fans everywhere will be influenced by others' opinions even before watching the serial so there would already be a bias there. Some fans can never accept the fact that Gillian is no longer the wooden girl next door but rather quite a convincing beauty. Preferences and opinions are acceptable but to claim that Gillian is still below average in acting wouldn't necessarily fall into those categories anymore but rather, just plain bitterness and bias.

Yeah, HF isn't the most honorable bachelor. He does cause endless harm and heart break for those beautiful women around him. It is quite shallow of him to refuse CLS, all because she wasn't physically beautiful enough. This YZY doesn't sound too nice nor lovable either so it would totally be difficult to accept HF loving and caring for only YZY. HF falls in love with MRL for her unique beauty and youth as well; gosh, what a superficial hero eh? Anyway, I might enjoy Ady as MRL considering that she's one of my favorite actresses at the moment besides Gillian. Just from the trailer, Wong Jing altered MRL from an ice girl to a bubbly energetic character, which suits Ady a whole lot; Ady's overall performance isn't horrible, she actually brings MRL to life with her cute portrayal but MRL's obstacles are just hard to digest. Hm, having enjoyed the majority of Ady's work, I may enjoy Ady's MRL despite all of the awful things that happen towards the end. Ady is just too convincing, I wouldn't want to miss this portrayal either. I'm not going to pay attention to the overall storyline and alterations but I'll just concentrate on Gillian and Ady's portrayals, their characters, their tears, and their scenes. Hopefully, the serial won't be as bad as we all fear.

Yup. EEG is a bunch of scary old folks, they go crazy with their power. Wow, not sending Nic to the airport was turned into that huge of a deal? Man, no wonder why Gillian feels so suffocated and caged up with those silly restrictions YET cannot do a thing to help herself except pray for more and better opportunities to help save her and expose her potential; signing a contract with EEG is like selling your soul to them forever! OR until EEG decides you're of no use to them anymore but wonder when that will be for Gillian? Poor Gillian. The ET industry is a wicked and cruel dark world, only those with power can turn the tables. I bet, Gillian wasn't even this aware how evil competition, money, and fame can transform people into heartless creatures. When Gillian decided to enter the ET industry, she was still so so young, so hopeful to work hard for her family and to clear her family's financial obligations but little did she know, this was just the beginning of something not too beautiful and bright afterall. Life is simply not a fairytale. If Gillian was born into a wealthy family with choices, with no concerns, and with no obligations, Gillian wouldn't have chosen to enter such a lonely shallow world, the ET industry.

I don't know about Sa's concert outfits but I seriously thought those were quite sexy already. I mean, Sa only had few pieces of clothing over her body, any more skin revealed, and that would appear too much for children attending the concert. Gillian on the other hand was a bit too covered up though so I hope that Gillian's outfit will be as sexy as Sa's.

Kenny needs to serve his master first before offering his service to others.

Hm, I'm not sure if Mani was away but since Mani is close to Sa and Kenny, they may have conversed over the phone during that time and Mani was perhaps reminded of the shooting music video so she simply demanded the crew to skip the kissing scene, if any were planned. Yeah, all of those cute scenes were erased and probably would never be mentioned again. Kenny tyring to get Gillian drunk. Didn't someone express that Kenny is even weaker than Gillian at alcohol shots? Both the TVB and EEG music videos were cheap. Mani just doesn't have any decent plans for Kenny and Gillian to collaborate whether it be music, music videos, or films. I mean, the duet was a good hit; I thought that would at least push Mani to support them but sadly, Mani is a tough cookie. I do hope that Kenny and Gillian gets to perform and practice more often together at the live performances.

Hm, the kiss between Kenny and Koey seemed quite desperate, not cute at all. I don't even think that was necessary for the weird storyline anyway.

Hmm yesterday I was watching Moving Targets on the movie channel and I gotta say EG was sooo cute! Though I still don't get how Gillian got pregant and they didn't even get married! Also the part where Gillian gave Edison the necklace it ment they got married or going out?? Whatever! Doesn't matter it was 2 years ago. Also it was cute when Edison brought that Big Brother (??) over and he touched Gillians cheek! But once me and my sister was talking about it and she said they filmed it separately cause she got into her whole "Cecilia and Nicholas" story of The Promise. But I don't think they filmed it separately? or did they?

i have to agree with you. EG scence is so sweet. I was disapointed when they didnt really have alot of EG scences, and their relationship is bit rush. It doesn't show when Ed start to like Gill, how they get how prenant or start the relationship. I think they try to make the movie shorter or something, but it was worthy, seing how EG is together even though Ed dye in the end leaving Gill behind; nic have to take care of her.

Hm, I guess, when Nic and the guys came to visit Edison's shop, they noticed that Edison and Gillian were already married, just a small wedding, a simple ring and necklace. Love was enough. I have to go back and re-watch that part to see if they filmed it separately or not but I don't believe so because everything seemed to be shot all at once so the entire cast was present for each of their scenes.

This film was a rushed production but nevertheless, Gillian and Edison were worth it.

If I'm not mistakened, this poll already ended a while back? It was during that one SOHU event Twins attended, the one where Gillian was laughing one minute and then crying the next. But I'm not sure why SOHU still has this poll and page running; the results and everything shouldn't matter anymore, that's why a lot of fans have quit voting, including I. Plus, this poll isn't accurate. One person, one IP address, can vote more than once, actually 3 times an hour so the results really depend on how crazy some fans are, staying online and contributing their every 3 votes per hour, everyday can accumulate to a lot of votes that really mean nothing. I love Gillian but I'm not crazy. I don't like voting in polls that don't monitor the amount of votes from IP addresses, it's much easier to cheat that way. Anyway, I was enjoying my meal and watching Love On The Rocks with Gigi, Louis, Gillian, and Sa on my laptop, all of a sudden, this white guy pops the question, "Who is that?" pointing at Gillian, the scene where Louis enters the Boba/Juice shop with Gillian sitting behind the counter, grabbing the fruits and stuff to blend. I was like, "Oh, that's Gillian, a popular singer and actress from Hong Kong." He was like, "Wow, how come I don't see her at Hollywood, she's so sweet and pretty; I would definitely gather all of my friends to support her at the theatres." That was a funny incident. I never thought anyone would approach me with that but I'm glad that he liked Gillian.

I really wish Gillian would be promoted in Hong Kong and internationally. Acting abilities can be improved but rare beauty is difficult to find. Gillian already has the most basic step, beauty, and she has tremendously improved on her acting abilities as well, just a few more beefy roles, and Gillian will be one of the top actresses of HK/Asia if only granted the chance. HK needs to show Asia and Hollywood that HK hasn't sunk yet, HK needs to present a fresh new face to the world, Gillian, solo like never before. HK needs to announce that not every Chinese person has chinky eyes with a flat nose bridge but there are some that are as beautiful as fairies, Gillian, with huge bold eyes, a delicate face, and a such a lovely appearance but that's only the beginning, Gillian's convincing portrayals will turn laughter into tears, salt into sugar, and water into blood, Gillian is that profound, that great. I can't wait to see more of Gillian onscreen, what surprises Gillian will stun the world with.

No kidding. Some people just don't understand that the ET industry is a place of elimination, and only those who possess the strength are able to survive. The only reason of why things are stereotyped as the older generation all being able to act and such is because those still remaining in the showbiz are those who have proven themselves to being able to survive this game. We obviously haven't heard of any names of those who aren't capable of acting from the older generations, for they haven't lasted down to this present time. The older generation was sure to have been given their time to evolve themselves by training and improving with more skills; hence, the present generation of artistes should be given the same benefit. Even though there is a good amount of people who do appear talentless, but they could improve if they actually have the heart to. Prejudgement is simply unfair; the ET business itself is already an area of favoritism abd biasedness, so do we, as the audience, really have to add to that? People who suffer from biasedness, like Gillian, only have the public to depend on to continue their careers because that provides a reason of why the company shouldn't throw them in the freezer.

Yeah, there are people who are easily influenced by the negative comments of others that they read online that sometimes they don't watch the serials because of what they read. I often find myself disagreeing with the negative comments completely after watching the serial/film myself, so I'd say it's best to be my own judge. People have different tastes and judgements, and there are people who just go stereotyping right off the bat, regardless if the quality is good or not. It's like if a person hates someone in the cast or believes deeply that the actor can't act, he/she will automatically say the actor did a bad job without actually looking at the performance generally. Sometimes that's the case for Gillian. Gillian's been so stereotyped of her supposedly poor acting mainly because of her beautiful face. Why is it so hard to believe that one can be beautiful and talented at the same time? Does it have to be only the average looking people who are talented and pretty faces are eye candy only? What kind of theory is that? I mean, even Gillian's own fans believe that. They still believe that Gillian is below average in acting even though she has been recognized by quite a few veteran actors/actresses and directors of her acting already; some even spoke up for Gillian about how she's only thought to be worse because she's always overshadowed when being under the label of Twins. It was such a relief of seeing that because it tells us that others see it as well, and for the information of those who think we're complaining too much, we obviously aren't complaining out of nowhere when there are people in the actual showbiz agreeing.

Yep, HF isn't very likeable himself either. Being the audience, we'll probably just be sitting infront of the TV screen scratching our heads questioning why all those beautiful and caring women falling in love with him. Being so superficial, why does he still steal the hearts of CLS and MRL? I may want to watch MRL because her character does appear to be interesting from the trailer, and I do want to find out what happens to her thoroughly. It probably will be the least bit enjoyable watching Ady portray the sufferings of MRL because she does go through many ups and downs, and it would surely enhance our hatred towards HF and YZY from where we left off with CLS's death. I think my plan for this serial for the time being is giving the serial one chance with watching it properly, and if it is crappy as we feared, I'll just fast forward any scenes not containing CLS or MRL. I'm almost sure I'll pass on any scenes with YZY or YZY+HF because Nie Yuan seems to have enjoyed his scenes with Gillian and Ady much more than Athena. In fact, he hasn't even mentioned Athena personally ever; it was Gillian at first, and then he mentioned that it was enjoyable working with Ady as well. If things appear as so, then the chemistry between YZY and HF isn't very promising. I'll look forward to HF's chemistry with CLS and MRL, even though it's not planned that way for the storyline.

Yeah, it sounds so possible for Mani to make such demands. I wouldn't be surprised if that was really how things were. Even if there wasn't a kissing scene planned, those extra scenes were still deleted. Okay, at least Gillian had a whole day of relaxation with Kenny while filming that MV, and they got free food from the house owner! There were probably more scenes than we know of because Kenny said they spent the whole day filming, morning to night; would something of four minutes take so long? Anyway, that's the reason why Kenny was trying to get Gillian drunk! He expressed that he's quite weak at alcohol while Gillian was quite strong, so when he felt that alcohol was taking him over, he started to make attempts of pulling Gillian down with him by pushing alcohol at her! The TVB one was cheap, but the EEG one was actually decently budgeted, at least they had the decency to actually make a plot to the MV and go to a nice house to film it. It's surely not as highly budgeted as 'Prophet' with Kenny and Charlene, but it's EEG, so what can we expect? 'Prophet' was really nicely structured; the beginning made it looked like a film with the 'Starring' and 'Co-starring' headings, and I liked how it began with the grave speaking of Charlene's message to Kenny. Hm, it seems like Kenny has a different girl from EEG from each of his albums: Oncoming - Charlene, MusicK - Gillian, and mie wo sagashite - Isabella. Ironically, MusicK was the least budgeted one. Well, KG's duet MV was better than KI's; Kenny and Isabella were pretty much sitting and standing around singing the song through the whole MV with scenes of a video game going on here and there. There isn't exactly a plot, but the song's to promote the video game in general. Anyway, the acceptance of this duet at least proves that the pairing of KG isn't hated. The duet wouldn't be so supported if so many people 'hated' KG as a pair. Their duet could've done more if they were pushed a bit more with promotions, but it was never done. The chance is lost. Hopefully, if KG gets a second chance around with a duet, things will be different.

The film is rushed, so many things of EG were implied through the film. To answer your questions, Edison liked Gillian from the beginning of the film, like how he focused on her when she first appeared even as an ugly girl; their relationship started on the bus ride when Gillian finally realized that Nic didn't love her, Edison had been there loving her all along, so she decided to give them a chance, and that's how their relationship started; EG's marriage was implied when Nic noticed the ring on Edison's finger, and then the next scene, Gillian was pregnant.

The EG magazine doesn't say much; it just says that EG weren't affected by their rumours and stood together four times to take photos together. Yet even though they stood together several times, they didn't speak to each other very often.

Wow, that just shows how much charm Gillian possesses. It's so nice to hear that even foreigners show interest in Gillian; doesn't that prove that Gillian should receive more chances and opportunities? The white guy's statement was so supportive! But it must've been pretty surprising for you. Just eating a meal and watching a movie when a stranger approaches to comment on someone in the film. It's a great thing to hear though!

HK would be Gillian's first step unless she was somehow granted a major opportunity, and she skipped the HK step altogether to a much broader horizon. It nearly sounds impossible with EEG in the way, so I just hope that Gillian will at least get her deserved promotion in HK in the future. It'd be great if HK could send out a convincing beauty like Gillian though. Gillian could surely break some stereotyping of the foreigners regarding the outer appearances of Chinese people; that's another case of stereotyping right there. Anyway, Gillian really does have the ability to make it to the top range, but it all sums down to if she's given the chances and opportunities to. She may have been there already if Gillian was allowed to grab on right when she was nominated for 'Best Actress'; if she presented the audience with a few more convincing roles after that time, she surely would've won the majority of the audience over with recognition already. HK would be in much better state if those who had potential were all given rightful chances.

you know, i love Gillian... she is beautiful... but something's been nagging me and my conscience...

I mean, the 1st time i saw a pic of gillian back in 2001, i didnt think much of her, and the twins song completely turned me off, that song about: "biology gives me love, chemistry gives me love... la la love love love!"

But then, i "rediscovered" her in 05... i heard the hot yoga song and was like... whoa... whoa... wait. Twins? Let me see... they have progressed! and i started listening to more of their songs, and i loved Gillian's high peaks in "happy together".

And then, i saw a pic of her, and i was melted, the cheese in a grilled cheese. WHAT HAPPENED??? i dunno...

Anyways, back to my point: she's beautiful, and the men that get to work with her are so lucky, and HK is blessed without knowing it. But doesnt it seem a little superficial to always praise her looks? I mean, i melted, but that was it, until i learned more about her, like her personality and goals. That was when i admired her most. adoration.

Well, some fans just don't have good sportsmanship. Some fans will do anything just for their idol to climb up the ET ladder, even if that means blindly hating someone like Gillian, who has no intentions of competing with others; Gillian just wants to enjoy life and her career while providing her family the financial stability she never had. Even fans who are not part of the ET world can become so rowdy, cruel, and heartless towards other artists that block and threaten their favored idol so I'm not going to even imagine how dirty and wicked the ET industry can transform people.

The HK audience absolutely adores sassy and bubbly roles for some reason and unfortunately, Gillian has never been granted the opportunity to show off her wild and cute side without the label of Twins. Gillian just needs to tackle down an extremely spunky and vibrant role in order to show the world especially the local HK viewers, that Gillian Chung has a witty and quick mouth too, she just waited for the perfect time to scream, kick, and bully those who doubted her and criticized her. Pretty actresses usually do portray boring roles, so calm, so cold, and so lifeless, that's why the audience believes that pretty actresses like Gillian can only convey one emotion, the wood expression. Come on, as a silent and such forgiving character, there's not much to do and express anyway. I agree. We're not just complaining because we had a bad day today but it's true. Gillian has a lot of untapped potential in every acting genre but she's so limited due to EEG. And one question that has always surfaced on my mind is: how can anyone be so certain that Gillian is any less talented in acting than the rest if Gillian hasn't even portrayed enough characters and roles to determine that yet. The majority of roles Sa has presented to the audience are bubbly cute roles while Gillian has only portrayed quiet and conservative roles, what makes anyone so sure that if granted the opportunity, Gillian will not outshine Sa in being naturally cute and energetic?

I do hope that since Sa has been given several chances now to portray something different from her usual sassy roles (Leave Me Alone, Hidden Heroes, All About Love, and Diary), Gillian will also receive an opportunity to transform into a drama queen with her spoiled and bratty character as well.

I really hope for another duet between Kenny and Gillian. Seems like Kenny and Isabella are attempting something new in terms of their most recent duet. I wish, Kenny and Gillian would explore the different music genres together as well.

I wonder why the music video took an entire day to shoot as well but so little was edited into the final product. Hopefully, both Kenny and Gillian received or requested a copy of those cute deleted scenes because those moments are so priceless. Gillian should have intoxicated Kenny and taped all of his silly activities and exposed secrets. I'm glad that at least Kenny and Gillian had time to bond with each other; they're a cute pair, a pair that will make your heart melt.

Kenny and Gillian are widely accepted but not sure why EEG is unwilling to invest in this pair. I mean, the Don-Mandy duo was something refreshing and enjoyed by the audience and Mandy was supposedly a side-kick for such a long time, pairing Kenny and Gillian together in a special album would totally heat things up. With such short and cheap promotions if any, Kenny and Gillian still surfaced to the top, that is already so promising.

Yeah, during the filming of Twins-Edison films, Edison and Gillian were already in bad terms with each other so they avoided each other during that period of time, so sad. Better and more intimate photos would have been taken if only Edison and Gillian mended their relationship then.

It was an awkward experience. I was actually quite startled when that guy approached me; I didn't think he was paying attention to my laptop. That rarely happens. At first, I thought he came over to complain about the distraction my laptop was creating with its volume but thank god, that wasn't the case. But I'm glad that Gillian appeals to a large majority outside of HK.

Hm, with Andy's help, Gillian may skip over the HK step altogether. A lot of Andy's work transfers internationally. Then Gillian can work alongside Takeshi, Zhang Ziyi, Tony Leung, and other mega stars. Andy kept complimenting how pretty Gillian appeared that night, the night of Gillian's nomination as Best Actress, the clip you uploaded at YT. That cracks me up everytime lol.
