Hmm! She does talk about her smile. It's cute what she says: the host asks her if whether or not what people believe is true about them. people think charlene is more cheerful, and gill is more on the cool side, because Gill is not caught smiling in many pictures. Gillian says: no no... i smile a lot too. It's just that smiling all the time is tiring! After a while, i let go of smiling and that's when they happen to take my picture, so the picture shows me not smiling, but i'm just taking a break. I smile a lot though.

It's a nice interview though i think. And i like how Gill and Sa weren't embarassed talking about sweating. I agree with Gillian. Smiling so much is annoying because it gets so tiring. I can't even smile for more than ten minutes without feeling pain I rather Gillian smile beautifully because she is happy. I mean some celebrities can give you a smile that looks sincere but who knows, they might not.

The picture of Gill and Nic is so HOT. I really want to see them in movie again, their chemistry is pretty good beside with Edison. Anyway, i don't think Steven is going to be in the main cast. EEG alway put him in minor and guess star, i think his acting isnt so bad, compare to other newbie in TVB, his acting is pretty good. I hope they given him more chance and same goes to Gill.

Hm, Kenny is a great singing partner for high notes but when performing live, Kenny is similar to Gillian, both are super nervous and begin off weak but I also blame the lack of real practice between Kenny and Gillian as well. Seems like Gillian only receives the time to rehearse and practice right before the actual show, that's pretty risky. Luckily, Gillian has never failed to amaze me with her live performances whether they be solo, Twins, or duets. I really want Gillian to perform a personal duet with Nic or Alan because both Nic and Alan have enough confidence and stage comfort to help assure Gillian throughout the entire song. Gillian is already experiencing enough fear onstage, by Kenny not smiling in return, Gillian may have felt even more pressure but with Nic or Alan, since they've been performing a bit longer than Kenny, they have more knowledge in that area, they can smile, share eye contact, and relieve Gillian's frustration without ruining the duet and mood. Sometimes, when you invest too much effort, the live performance becomes a bit rigid and unnatural, Kenny was even more tensed than Gillian, honestly. But this Kenny and Gillian duet wasn't so bad to the point of no emotions. There were emotions channeling in and out of their blended voices but because this was their first live collaboration, they rushed the song a bit and sang it less smoother than usual due to being nervous. Hopefully, Kenny and Gillian will perform another superb live duet in the future.

Vibratos are quite essential for Gillian. Gillian has already proven herself to sing beautifully in all genre of notes: low, standard, and high. Her next mission should be an achievement of vibratos. That's interesting how Twins sang I Really Want to Love Him with vibratos only in the CD version due to JJ Lin's expectations, his demo. No wonder, the vibratos sounded a bit weird. JJ Lin may have been able to perform the vibratos differently and much more appealing than Twins due to his familiarity with vibratos but I Really Want to Love Him wasn't the best song for Twins to begin vibratos. I'm cheering Nic-Gillian for an official duet, Kenny-Gillian for another duet, and most definitely Alan-Gillian, the best pair for a lovely duet. Hopefully, all of my requests will be fulfilled soon.

Please no love triangle, it's so pathetic and lame. Yeah, that's true, in Protégé de la Rose Noire, Gillian was so clueless and useless in that film, one of the worst films ever produced lol. I do hope that SunDream will not be too influenced by EMG's demands and continue supporting Gillian and Steven in this film. It's definitely not difficult at all to balance out the importance and screentime of two leads but yes, this is EMG we're speaking of, the word equality seems to not exist in their DNA molecules. I am really dreading this film in place for Gillian.

Thanks for sharing. Gillian's too funny and it is true too. It's just like how Sa actually cried in the filming for I Really Want To Love Him and Gillian had a nice crying scene in Conscious Discovery as well but both of those scenes never popped up in the final product. I'm glad Gillian is honest with her responses. I guess, the people who criticize Gillian as being fake perhaps never read, enough to understand anything.

Thanks for sharing such cute photos of Nic and Gillian. Nic is always caught whispering and acting naughty whenever near Gillian. Perhaps Nic may have a tiny crush on Gillian but because of Edison, Nic had to resign his pursuit? Gosh, I totally want a duet collaboration between Nic and Gillian or perhaps, a film at least.

here's a clue about how gillian and steven are both treated...i was looking around at websites on gillian and i stumble across an old article/blog from december 2005 talking about twins' split and it was written:



gee does that sound familiar or what? apparently there was circulating rumors that if twins were to split charlene=kenny and gillian=steven. i have to really ask what EEG is smoking if they find it logical to have a popular group split and then to let someone out of that group to go solo and have the other to still be attached to a new group under the same name. what is the purpose of that?!?!?!? if a group is going to split then let them officially split and have them both go solo. when twins split i just hope they allow gillian to go solo and not have to deal with the same bull that steven has to deal with because if that happens then... .

I agree about that part. Gillian and Kenny were both obviously tensed up for their first performance together, but Gillian had to be reassuring Kenny with her smiles because he was even more nervous than she was while she was nervous at the same time. Eh, confusing statement, so I hope it makes sense. I blame the lack of time given to practice as well, but it's really good that Gillian is still able to pull off some good performances despite that fact. With Gillian's performance with Alan, I think Alan's sense of humour just relaxed Gillian down near the beginning, so she wasn't as tense. Nic is a confident person, so I don't think he would be tensed much, if at all. I have confidence towards Kenny and Gillian though. If they're able to have more practice time and give more reassurance to themelves and to each other, their live performances could be superb. Hey, they've already surprised us even with their nervousness, so now that they're aware that they're capable of handling this duet anad synchronizing with each other, they really could do it even better next time without rushing. If they're given a next time, hopefully more elements could be adjusted and added by them so it could sound even better than the CD version, or just for the sake of showing off improvements.

'I Really Want To Love Him' is more or less a quite simple song, so you may be right about it not being the absolute best song to start vibratos in. I wonder if Twins even acknowledged those as being vibratos? Gillian needs a song where the producer would request for her to portray vibratos, and hopefully that song would be her solo. But then isn't her solo going to be the one she's the producer for? If so, I really do hope she grasps vibratos by listening to others singing vibratos or gets tips from seniors for us to hear her expand completely for those vibratos. Now I think the chance for a Alan+Gillian performance again is a bit slim because Joey is actually the one having an official duet with him, hence his arrival in HK for her concert. Eh, we'll just have to hope for some other chance for Gillian and Alan to reunite in a duet. I'm hoping on an official duet between Nic and Gillian as well; hey..... I heard that Nic might be releasing an album sometime this year. Wonder if he wants to invite a certain someone to sing a duet with him? I'm also grabbing onto a hope for another Gillian+Kenny duet. Hopefully, at least one of these actually come true.

This is actually a serial that Gillian guest-starred in for five episodes since EEG had invested in it. No one has seen this serial yet because it's never been released. The airing rights were bought by ATV, but something about the copyrights forbidded them to air it. They were actually going to air it last year. You know, I'd actually be interested in this serial even if Gillian isn't in it. This is the same producer who producedTVB serial, Healing Hands, and he's now reuniting Ada Choi, Lawrence Ng, and William So for another doctor serial! Having Gillian in there is a complete bonus! Unfortunately, we won't get to see it until who knows when.

Well, I think that's not something that we have to stress about too much. I mean, I don't doubt that there's a slight chance that it could happen, but there's a higher chance that Twins won't go in the same format that Boy'z did. For once, Mani's words assure me. When she was personally asked about the Twins split by the media, she expressed that she believes that both Gililan and Charlene have the ability to stand strong solo if the split does take place; she also said that Twins are not like Boy'z. She said that she believes in the market, the combination of Boy'z can be of different people, whether it be Kenny+Steven or Steven+Dennis, yet the combination of Twins has to Gillian+Charlene. I may not like Mani's biased actions and rules, but I trust her knowledge about the market because she's a pretty smart business woman. Of course, the above is the positive side, but there isn't any promise about anything else. There's the sort of stuff like if both girls will get the same amount of promotions as they're both let off to go solo? Most likely not. There's also questions like what if Gillian is stuck in a whole new group but not Twins? That's a deep pit right there. Hopefully, if the split happens, they'll just both go solo. We can even let it slip even if the promotions won't be fair; it's been and being done right now, so it won't be a big surprise. I simply would despise the situation if Gillian was left behind to train another newbie as the newbie slowly steps over her with the help of EEG's biased promotions.

It was actually this piece of news that ignited my investment in Gillian. I've noticed some unfair things between Twins beforehand but never really investigated nor opposed to it since Twins were best as a pair but when I glanced at this article, I was quite upset and thus, passionately fended for Gillian till this day.

Hopefully, Joey has been training Gillian on vibratos during their spare time if any, since they're good buddies. I really do hope that Gillian's solo ballad will be enough to challenge her versatile voice and bring out the best of what is to be just a new beginning for Gillian in the music industry. If Gillian is self-producing, composing, or whatnot, I'm sure Gillian will touch basis with her own potential and perhaps break some barriers. I too hope that there is at least a Gillian-? duet this year to satisfy our hearts, either one is fine with me as well.

Hm, hopefully Mani is telling the truth, not just at the moment to ease some tension. I really hope EEG will get it to their heads and finally grant Gillian the opportunities, promotions, and support Gillian deserves. Staying behind, stalling Gillian's career, just to train a newbie that would eventually shoot off into a solo career as well would be extremely upsetting if that was the final case. I pray not. But we'll see how things go, EEG tends to make a lot of risky moves based on impulse. I'm sure God is on Gillian's side; he has always been and always will.

Yes, hopefully Joey will give Gillian some tips on vibratos. Singing would probably be a topic that they would talk about since they're both involved in singing. Things could get a lot easier for Gillian in the music industry if her solo is able to stun even those who aren't fans. The main thing that Gillian needs to show is that she can sing in a strong voice; that is the biggest thing that people use against her. Gillian is capable of projecting a strong voice because we've heard her do so; a strong voice doesn't mean a loud voice either. Using vibratos could cover up the part of how many HK people love the loud singing, so I hope Gillian's solo will be able to grasp all of her full potential including vibratos. Hopefully, as you've said, the solo will be satisfying because Gillian would know to a point of what she's able to add in and portray to show her best singing side. I would hope that Gillian gets at least one more duet along with her solo this year; I'd want the duet or her solo to actually be promoted, unlike what happened with 'Conscience Discovery'.

I would believe that she is telling the truth. Based on past issues, Mani doesn't find any reason whatsoever to cover the fact that she is biased among her artistes. It's right there of who she prefers in her statements and what she does, but some people are just too blind to see it. Mani has never minded of putting Gillian in a negative light or a bad spot, so she probably wouldn't have been that considerate to say that Gillian would be alright as a solo artiste if she didn't actually mean it. Well, that's what I think anyway. It'd be an absolute awesome thing if EEG could finally get it through their thick heads that they can't be off stalling Gillian's potential and career for no other reason than how she's going to be a threat to another. However, I will probably forever doubt that it would happen because EEG values too much on family ties. Things could get better for Gillian slightly and slightly, but biased issues will never be gone. I only wish that things won't get worse for Gillian, such as being handed the job of training other artistes who are just going to mooch off her popularity under a group label until EEG decides that they can shoot off to a solo career if Twins split. If EEG constantly commits risks from impulse, then my ideal thought is that they can commit a risk of letting the 'threat' of someone go free as this 'threat' can shoot up into the skies and find her skies of chances and opportunities that she's been held from for five years. *sigh* That won't happen, so I could just pray for God to be on Gillian's side as well.

　　在香港经济景气最差的2001年出道，在SARS肆虐的2003年冲上事业高峰。Twins的成功简直是个奇迹，据说，有人在香港撰文分析，在香港经济黑暗期，人人都想逃避成人世界的压力，看到她们一脸掩饰不住的纯真，就算二十三四岁还可以很切近学生的心态唱歌演戏，容易暂时忘却压力，回想到自己无忧无虑的简单心境。虽然这两个女孩子看起来留给我们的印象更多的是两个平面模特，可是她们青春无敌的甜美已是足够的杀手锏，一个“Sa”一个“娇”，人如其名，两人合起力就算不用撒娇，只是挤眉弄眼地顽皮笑一下，就让人有如含了奶糖般的甜蜜得招架不住。即使她们的传言不断，包括让人很难以想象和接受的，但是这样两个女孩子，根本让人舍不得讨厌她们。

　　出道5年，Twins不光是香港最具人气的组合，在整个华语地区也相当有知名度，相对于受关注度，Twins二人一直都慢半拍的港式普通话可能是一直限制她们发国语唱片的重要因素，所以这次的《八十块环游世界》才是她们的第二张国语唱片。然而刚发片就遭遇上风头正劲的周笔畅，国语唱片市场她们仍是新人。


　　穿着满是亮片片的打歌服，配合新歌《八十块环游世界》印度中东式的服装，居然有点“土气”，在北京作宣传一家媒体记者开玩笑说她们是“台妹”，两个女生笑嘻嘻：“这样在台上容易认得出我们，因为我们比较矮。” 她们一直在我们眼中是少女，总是觉得应该用 “小妮子”之类的词来形容她俩，第一张国语专辑《见习爱神》Twins穿着校服走学生路线，新专辑《八十块环游世界》文案上说这一次两人开始耍起“小女人的味道”，两人哈哈一笑，“这可不是我们说的。我们始终不是年龄很大嘛，就算我们要慢慢长大，也不会一下子就很成熟。如果大家需要我们扮学生，应该还行吧。”会不会走性感香艳的路线？阿Sa笑到不行：“我们性感不来啊。”阿娇立刻接着话茬：“我怕会吓坏歌迷。”

　　常会有Twins貌合神离的传言，“分手”之说几乎每次采访都会被追问，两个人都被问烦了，索性出了张专辑《一时无两》。在我们眼前看到的Twins 不但亲密无间而且默契十足，在面对媒体的时候，两人回答问题有先有后，无论谁回答上有纰漏，对方都会及时补充，还不时忙里偷闲地咬着对方的耳朵说个不停。说到单飞，两个小姑娘显得无辜又无奈，“我们也不可能每一刻都对着对方笑个不停，为什么大家都盼望我们分开呢？”阿Sa很认真：“我们是在公司里认识的，刚开始并不熟悉，以前出现矛盾会有冷战，但现在已经是无话不谈了。”

　　《音乐周刊》： 八十块怎么环游世界？


　　阿Sa：八十块钱在现实中是没有可能环游世界的，这是一个小小的梦想起点，八十块是代表一个梦想的起点，只要有了梦想，发挥自己的想像力，就会像我们歌中所唱的，拥有了一张波斯飞毯，随时可以去自己想去的地方。


　　《音乐周刊》：那如果用八十块钱的话，能环游哪里？


　　阿Sa：可以游香港吧。(笑)坐巴士车环游香港。


　　阿娇：可以上网，去看一些资料。


　　阿SA：买一个地球仪啊(笑)。


　　阿娇：看地图啦。


　　《音乐周刊》：你们做了艺人以后去过很多地方吧，最想去什么地方旅游？


　　阿娇：其实我们没有去过很多城市，但是同一个地方我们去过很多次，就像北京啊上海啊。我没有去过美国，很想有机会去美国。


　　阿Sa：希望可以去远一点，可是我们的假期最多只有5天，坐飞机都要两天了。东南亚都去过，欧洲机会就很少了。我想去的是希腊。


　　《音乐周刊》：这次拍“环游世界”的MV和照片都不是真的去世界各地拍的？


　　阿Sa：没有啊，都是导演让我们想象，想像在印度骑大象(大笑)。


　　娇：如果我们有机会去就好了。


　　《音乐周刊》：第二张国语专辑跟第一张比起来，进步在哪里？


　　阿娇：这次没什么，上张专辑一首歌录一星期，这次一天就可以录完一首。


　　《音乐周刊》：：苦练了国语？


　　阿娇：其实我觉得还是习惯不习惯的问题，第一次做的时候什么都不懂。


　　阿Sa：第一次监制会多次改正我们的发音，要花很多时间。


　　这个问题真的很难


　　《音乐周刊》：你们俩各自的个性怎么表述会更贴切呢？


　　阿Sa：自己觉得啊，喔，好难答啊。(两人相视，大笑)大家看到我的样子都是比较开心的，其实我私底下在家里是一个比较安静的人，不太爱讲话，专辑里有一首歌是我独唱的叫《一个人看电影》，其实我在家就常常一个人看电影。


　　阿娇：我私底下不是一个太安静的人，嗯……


　　阿Sa：(忽然插进来)她讲很多话……

　　《音乐周刊》：你们电影上各自忙碌，但是音乐上没有分开过。上一次北京流行音乐典礼，阿Sa忙碌电影没有过来，阿娇自己落单唱歌。感觉如何？


　　阿娇：很紧张啊，那段时间我在拍电视剧，很久没有唱歌，一来北京就面对那么对人，心跳很快啊。


　　《音乐周刊》：最久一次，你们相互见不着是多长时间？


　　阿娇：都是因为拍戏的关系，最多大概一个多月吧，彼此都很想念。


　　《音乐周刊》：你们俩要是吵架是什么情况？


　　阿娇：没有啊，我们都没有明着吵架过。有一次，我们去参加一个电视节目，节目里非让我们用广东话吵一次架，非常无聊的。


　　阿Sa：(大笑)对啊，吵到不知道自己说什么，因为你要骂人的时候心跳会加快，而且我们的表达能力比较差。


　　《音乐周刊》：是不是因为你们说话节奏比较慢？


　　阿Sa：(笑)慢有慢吵，快有快吵，但是一吵我就知道自己会输，我顶多跟对方理论。遇到蛮不讲理的人我就走喽，不理他。


　　阿Sa是泰国通


　　《音乐周刊》：平时这么忙，怎么缓解压力？


　　阿Sa：看电影，做一些自己喜欢的事情。


　　阿娇：其实我很快就会忘记，(笑)因为我记性不太好(两人一起笑)。


　　《音乐周刊》：平时没事，会一起去逛街吗？


　　阿Sa：会，不过没有太多时间，有时候去别的地方工作，像是泰国，如果收工早的话就去逛逛。


　　阿娇：她对泰国很熟，所有的店她都知道，她是。


　　阿Sa：泰国通，呵呵，对啊，我每年都去。

　　《音乐周刊》：最近你们看世界杯吗？


　　阿Sa：会啊。我喜欢球赛那个气氛。


　　阿娇：她好厉害啊！她可以去做足球的评论员。世界杯我跟她一起看，我是第一次看啊，她一边看，就一边给我讲球星的名字，还说他应该怎样怎样踢。很厉害的！


　　阿Sa：(笑)好尴尬！我喜欢看是因为我爸爸平时经常踢足球，我每个星期天都看他练球。他踢得蛮厉害的，他也经常看世界杯啊，联赛啊。


　　《音乐周刊》：很多女孩子看球就是为了看帅哥呀，你有喜欢的帅哥吗？


　　阿Sa：不是啦！很肤浅！(笑)看哪一个技术比较好吧。最近我比较喜欢梅西，19岁的阿根廷球员。唉，可惜昨天晚上3点，阿根廷的比赛我睡过头了！我看到了2点，然后想3点起来再接着看，结果睡过了，气死我了！我看了前面的两场，真的很差，竟然还有一个是乌龙球。(看来真还略知一二)


　　能照顾家人我们很满足


　　《音乐周刊》：出道这些年，心情有什么变化吗？成长的地方在哪里？


　　阿Sa：以前觉得好辛苦，每天工作那么久，很少可以回家，连洗澡的时间都没有。就觉得很多像我这样年纪的女生都在享受自己的生活，都很开心，每天可以逛街，为什么我要这样子。但是现在我觉得这样做是很值得的，看到很多同学、同龄人，都没有工作，不停地找，我现在23岁，已经可以买房子，照顾到我的家人，觉得很满足。


　　阿娇：之前觉得没有太大兴趣做这行，因为有很多不如意的事情发生，但是后来也慢慢喜欢上这个有这么多新鲜感的工作，要是做OL，我肯定会受不了那么枯燥的每天做同一些事情。还有，我觉得工作是一个责任，我现在可以照顾家人，我会很努力地去工作。


　　《音乐周刊》：如果不进入这行，会做什么？


　　阿Sa：要先读完书才知道。小的时候梦想过很多工作都想过，但是这是我们第一份工作。


　　阿娇：很多人都以为我第一份工作像个秘书，其实没有，连歌唱比赛我们也没参加过。


　　我们常常都会问工作人员我们红不红


　　《音乐周刊》：刚入行的时候，有很多印象深刻的事情讲讲看。


　　阿娇：一次去澳门表演，跟公司的谢霆锋、王杰和容祖儿，没有人认识我们，我们很紧张，那时候还没有组合名字，那个主持就用“香港最人气的女子组合”开场。因为场馆设备的限制，没有麦克风，只好对嘴唱我们的第一首歌《明爱暗恋补习社》，一出去的时候观众都没有反应，我们打完侧手翻之后就很多掌声，那信心就找到了。


　　阿Sa：我一下台眼泪就掉下来，也很开心。


　　《音乐周刊》：什么时候觉得自己红了？


　　阿Sa：(笑)我们现在常常都会问工作人员我们红不红？


　　阿娇：其实很多地方都会有不认识我们的人啊。


　　《音乐周刊》：最近遇到不认识你们的人是什么时候？


　　阿娇：台湾啊，泰国啊都有。


　　阿Sa：大部分人都是男人喽(笑)。


　　阿娇：很好笑的就是有人过来找我们签名，而旁边的人就会用那种奇怪的眼神当着我们的面发问，“唉？她们是谁啊？”有些人完全不知道我们是谁，可是能看出我们是明星，就会打发他儿子过来找我们签名。

Gillian. We're all anticipating on her ballad; hopefully, the solo won't disappoint us. As for duets, if EEG doesn't have any decent plans to promote them as in live performances at JSG or other mini concerts, Gillian's duets would be meaningless because Gillian wouldn't be able to mesmerize the audience with her natural live voice. Gillian's live versions are way more emotional and better than CD versions can ever capture. It would be nice for us to enjoy a few more Gillian duets but I think we will become pretty upset and peeved if these duets just faded away not because of lack of support from fans BUT because the lack of promotions from EEG. Gillian does have a strong voice but perhaps Gillian tends to sing higher than usual, Gillian's voice seems thinner and more fragile than usual in live performances. Gillian somehow isn't a huge fan of deep notes so she goes the extra mile to convert all of those standard notes into high notes. But yes, Gillian does need to strengthen all of her notes because in some portions of the songs, her voice is still a bit weak but not anything so huge and urget to work on though.

Money, of course, means a whole lot to EEG but connections is what maintains their status. If they had to choose between making a load of money versus having protection for that load of money, which one would they choose? Simply, the protection for that load of money and that is exactly what EEG is all about. EEG isn't just all about money and promoting the most successful artists who will make the most money da da da but between money and connections, their first and foremost priority is connections. It's like, would you be afraid of a kid who has a lot of money or a kid who has a lot of money and a group of buddies that will kick your butt if you glared at him wrongly? Of course, the kid with the big bank and big gang. Isn't that obvious. What I'm trying to say is, Gillian may contribute to EEG's income but in terms of securing that large sum of income, Gillian doesn't. I mean, Gillian doesn't have a father, connections. Money doesn't corrupt men, it's men who corrupts money. Connections, believe it or not, makes a huge difference in this type of business. Even if you were dirt poor, but if you had the connections, no one can mess with you nor bully you and you will eventually become wealthy. Not all wealthy people have connections BUT all people with connections are wealthy; hopefully people understand that.

Honestly, Gillian will never be able to free herself from this unfair treatment until EEG ends her contract. Gillian is wealthy but not necessarily powerful enough to overrule certain things that restrain her. It's like this, Gillian is a threat, an enemy to certain individuals at EEG, the wisest thing to do is to keep Gillian close, keeping one's enemies close is one of the most cunning ways to win in the end. Yes, this is a dark dark society we're referring to and I'm sure, you guys are aware of it but sometimes, it's just difficult to digest. But either way, I really wish Gillian the best.

The picture is a bit low quality but nevertheless, Gillian still looks beautiful. I love her natural beauty, it outshines the rest.

Rain is one of most beautiful HK actresses at the moment as well, I'm glad Gillian and Rain fall into the same category of beauty. I personally believe, Gillian is just as pretty as Cecilia and Rain but because Gillian has never portrayed such daring or beefy roles that will really and I mean, really expose Gillian's beauty, people tend to think Gillian is more of cute than beautiful but I think different, obviously.

Whether it be solos or duets for Gillian, I just hope that she'll receive at least one chance to perform it live. Gillian has the ability to improve the song altogether during live performances just with the natural aspects of her voice. The only thing that CD versions do for Gillian's performance of the song is compress her voice to make it sound more stable and standard, yet that's not what Gillian needs in her performances. Gillian's voice certainly has the potential to be able to expand and stretch out, which is what she shows here and there during live performances, but never shown on CD because the technical help actually erases all those elements that can be found in her natural voice. That's true about the duets; I think we're all pretty upset about what happened to Gillian's recent duet. It wasn't that it wasn't accepted or supported, but really it wasn't promoted at a good level, leading to its failure. I agree; one of the random times that Gillian resorted to deep notes was her duet with Alan, and that was just for the sake of matching up to the song and Alan's voice, so deep notes probably aren't Gillian's first choice if she had the full say. I believe that standard notes are most likely Gillian's least favourites. She probably prefers high notes and deep notes much more than standard notes. Seriously, I think I'd be sick of them if I were her as well, just by how much Twins songs dwell on standard notes. With some more time on practising, along with some challenging songs that Gillian could sing to practise with, I'm sure Gillian will be able to strengthen her notes to be more solid even during the high, high notes.

It's reality, isn't it? In reality, almost everything is based on connections. There would only be a small proportion of people who would really strive for the word 'fair', or at least attempt to. You're right about what you said; with Gillian, all she can do is to earn money for EEG by honestly working for it with her limited job opportunities. I guess we can say that from the beginning, Gillian never had enough chips on her hand to bet on with this game. Being up against someone who has connections that contribute endless playing chips, Gillian barely stands a chance. This game of gambling against connections, sometimes I wonder how Gillian decides to keep playing? I suppose it's for the same reason of how Gillian pulls through from hardships and criticisms, her family. Frankly speaking, Gillian could never actually win. Using your example, even the kid who had the big bank with no gang would be in the losing light, so never mind about Gillian who didn't have the big bank to start with. Gillian's bank honestly came from accumulation, and it certainly won't and never will compare to another bank that was huge to begin with and continues to grow. These words don't only apply to Gillian's situation and the ET industry; it happens to everyone. Obviously most people with connections are able to succeed much easier than those who climb a step at once; it's just how the world goes. Some are born so that they know how to play the game of how life goes right off the bat while some are needed to go with the flow of how things work in life. This society is so dark as we speak more of it.... Well, I guess my feeling is that each person is more or less forced to put their bet on the table during their lifetime of interacting to the realistic society, but it really sums down to whether the person loses his own ethics and principles through the betting point or not.

We see it all the time; through the smiling groups of friends that you see in school or at work, what could be behind those happy faces? 'Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.'; never could I forget this quote. Personally, my friend and her enemy must always keep this quote in mind. They somehow hang out together, but of course more goes on beneath the surface. The same more than likely goes on for Gillian and EEG. Oh gee, these summer courses of life management must be getting too much into my head. I feel all sentimental and dark myself now. In the end, I'm just praying that Gillian could hold on and pull through in her company of connections and wealth. I wish her all the best.

Oh WOW!!! Alan look really HOT from the side. He remind me of Jimmy and Nic put together. As much as we all wish Gill's solo ballad is good, i doubt EEG will let that happent. It seem like they will find whatever way to stop Gill from become better and good, and since Alan already duet with Joey, and i highly doubt they will put Alan and Gill together again.

i think that that girl could be gillian's friend. during the time it was heavily rumored that gillian went on vacation with alex fong, gillian denied the charges and said that she was in fact in another country vacationing in england or something like that with her friends. i remember seeing a pic of her in england[?] and she was wearing that outfit so it could have been a pic of her and her friend. however if it was a fan, it's cute to see gillian holding the umbrella for her and it's nice to see that gillian has fans in england[?]!


the entertainment world has never been described as 'fair'. an artist either makes it or they don't and sometimes that relies heavily on connections. the company decides on an artist's career and whether or not they want them to suceed. one wrong move on the artist's part and they could get 'frozen'. lately there's been plenty of news on artists who were 'frozen' for years and only now did they come back into the singing industry (i.e. grace yip who was frozen by EEG b/c she was dating eric kwok), most of them under a new management company. when twins split i just hope that gillian can and will leave EEG for a new management who will take the time out to promote her and give her opportunities because i fear that EEG will put even more restrictions on gillian after the split or worse not even bother spending time on gillian's career at all.

I saved the Gillian picture in case I were to have to use it again, and good thing I did.

I also tried to make a manipulation of Alan and Gillian kissing, but that didn't work out to well.

I loved the picture you posted of Show(I like calling him that better ) Rainie. I don't have any pictures with Gillian that's angled how Rainie is on the first picture. In the second picture...I totally took out Rainie The lighting and skintone was totally different....so I put a texture on it. I wish I didn't have to so it would look more like a real picture

Wow! I love both of these manips! That photo of Gillian is a really good one to use as a kissing picture because she somehow portrays a tint of shyness with that smile and general expression. Both of them look very natural.


Ah, do we have talented people in this thread or what? bluehearts, it's so awesome that you and lilsleepyhead916 just come up with these amazing manips to share with us. The Alan and Gillian picture already looks really good; if you ask me, it's pretty difficult to combine two different photos into one, but you did it!

Did you guys read the news today? Gillian had a bad experience while filming the new movie. She cried because of having to be hung by wires for long periods of time; it's a first. Now I really hope that Gillian's role in this film is significant and gives her room to shine; it would so unworthy if Gillian burst into tears from the laborious work, yet she only comes out to save the day in the end. Charlene said that Gillian rarely cries because of work, but this time she did.

Oh my...Gillian is usually really strong and won't complain about the amount of work put on her shoulder, physically speaking because Gillian is a really sensitive person... If it's that serious that made her cry, those stunts must be extremely hard and tiring. I'll be so mad if they made Gillian go through so much for this film for nothing, just appear here and there to perform some fighting scenes I feel so bad for Gillian

Aww that's soo sad! But I understand why she cried, not because of hard work because it was 20 hours straight!. Was the director deaf or something not hearing her request!? Damn..I feel so bad..and Charlene get's to sleep . Not fair! Hope Gillian finish her part so she don't have to hang up in the air anymore. But I doubt that. Anyways poor Gillie, hope she get some rest sooner or later.

20 Hours Straight?? What's wrong with the director? Doesn't he know hanging from the wire hurts a lot? Why are they rushing anyways? Can't believe he didn't give Gillian breaks since she must be tired from filming and going back and forth to practice for the concert in Genting....

And the thing about hanging on the wires is that Gillian already got hurt a while ago when filming for other movies while on wires, and I don't know how to describe it, but I think that when she goes back onto the wires, it'll start hurting again, so basically Gillian already gets hurt a bit from old wounds from the wires, but now adding onto the 20 straight hours of being on the wire, it should DEFINITELY hurt her old wounds. That's why sometimes I don't want Gillian to participate in action movies, even though she likes to do these movies, but she usually gets hurt. And even though she gets hurt, she still continues to work hard and continue doing such movies.

When i hear the news about Gill is crying during filming, i feel so bad for her, i mean 20 hours is really long, see shooting fighting scence is not easy, but you never hear Gill complain until now, which i think it was pretty serious. How cant they not notice they Gill is crying up there, are they suppose to filming her, and NOt seing the girl is crying up there? I think those stunt that Gill being doing is pretty dangerous, if not EEG wouldnt make her insurance goes higher like that, since we all know EEG blood sucker .
