Simplyconfused: Thanks so much for sharing the Nic-Gillian manipulations; they will come in handy when I create my first Nic-Gillian music video. Gosh, all of them look beautiful and so real, a round of applause for the person who blended in the photos.

Yup, perfect analogy. Gillian may not have the wealth, status, and connections to eliminate obstacles from the beginning and even till now or perhaps in the future, but Gillian has a pure determined heart that has never been corrupted nor tainted, which outshines the rest. Gillian's human heart is what keeps her alive, not money, not fame, nor winning others, but simply because Gillian is still Gillian in the end, amongst all the greed, all the betrayals, and all of the dirty business that revolve around the ET industry. I'm just glad, Gillian has only gambled with what she has gained from the ET industry back and forth, not from her own personal life, her original beliefs, and her identity. It's fine, Gillian has always and will always be loved for her natural charm, her warm smile, and her ordinary humble personality, not because she's Twins nor Gillian Chung, the actress and singer, but just plain Gillian.

Yeah, that was the cliche. I have a pair of cousins who grew up together and did everything together but deep inside, they both absolutely cannot stand each other at all; they are complete enemies so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case with Gillian, with Gillian in EEG's management, they can freeze her and underpromote her all they wish and no one can pull Gillian out of the dark hole because of the soul binding contract. I guess, we can only show our fullest support now because we just never know when EEG will pull the plug on Gillian. For all those Gillian fans waiting and hoping to show their full support once Twins split, there might not be such a day, seriously. That's why, I'm going to support Gillian like there's no tomorrow, only that can assure that at least I've tried my best for Gillian. It doesn't matter if Gillian was the most successful artist, once EEG decides to create or promote someone else, sooner or later, Gillian will be nothing but memories like plenty of other stars that have been frozen. Hopefully, Gillian will save herself in the end just like the films and in real life.

Yeah, I read it yesterday already but couldn't respond because AF wasn't working properly. Anyway, poor Gillian. For all of those people who criticize Gillian as portraying too many kung-fu roles, how ridiculous is that. Every Jackie Chan film involves some type of martial arts and Jackie was able to bring Hong Kong into Hollywood successfully so props for him unlike some people who bash Gillian, Gillian has only portrayed like what, one kung-ful role, House of Fury and here haters are, complaining. Those scars, tears, and fear would all go down the drain if Gillian is minor to her partner. Seriously, it still bothers me, how the heck did this happen? If Gillian was screaming for help, why didn't anyone hear her? This is something quite serious. It just shows that the crew's reliability is close to zero. If this had happened here, Gillian should sue or something for emotional torment. I mean, 20 hours is stretching the line and endurance plus this incident also falls under negligence.

I think Gillian enjoys giving her all and best to her fans, the film, and the audience in action films plus, action roles are usually the only characters Gillian get to portray diversity rather than the same old quiet and calm roles so Gillian has to grasp at every opportunity but I agree, watching Gillian dangle down at such a high elevation is quite freaky. Wires hurt. They hurt, not kidding. And to be hung from wires for 20 long hours is too much! Gosh, I'm crying with Gillian too. I feel so bad for Gillian when she expressed that no one paid attention to her yells and requests.

You know what I noticed? Skippi3 made a fan MTV of Edison's Are You Happy song which was rumored to be dedicated to Gillian at that time. Isn't that sweet or what? And the song does make sense, the Edison and Gillian relationship did begin when they were 16-17 years old, and in this song, it speaks about Gillian at age 17. Aw, I love Edison-Gillian. I love the way Skippi3 designed everything, each scene fell into place, and the entire theme was just completely beautiful; yes, I'm still speechlees.

Yeah, that was me. I love Windstruck, the Korean film, so I decided to make a Chinese version out of the two individuals I most adore, Edison-Gillian.

Oh, that audio clip when Gillian says, "Edison ho lang jai" is just an audio clip Gillian recorded as part of Edison's Breakthrough album. It was much more of a behind the scenes outake. It doesn't have a visual clip but I wished they did though. It's so cute listening to how much fun both Edison-Gillian shared when recording; there was much more to that, the little clip that was included in Edison's album but sadly, not everything was included but oh well, just this cute short clip was enough.

Yeah, the song describes a girl who is 17, who loves to drink soda and seems to be experiencing a few life obstacles. As for the details of the song, I don't quite remember exactly; I don't speak Cantonese so I'm not sure lol. And Edison asks Gillian in the song if she's happy with her decisions, that's all. I remember, it was rumored that Edison dedicated this song and Number Nine to Gillian, he specifically asked the composer and lyrics writter to include some of his personal thoughts into these two songs, which are a reflection of his real personal life. It was also during this time, Edison-Gillian were at their peak, everyone was EG crazed. Reporters asked Edison about these dedication rumors but he never really directly denied them so I suppose they're true? Anyway, Edison-Gillian, my favorite pair alongside Alan-Gillian and Kenny-Gillian.

Yeah, I think the forum was down yesterday for the evening; I couldn't get in all night.

Even though we do wish all the best for Gillian, we can't let go of the little doubt that we have at the back of our heads. We know that EEG has all the power in the world to do whatever they want with Gillian, yet we can do nothing to help. They could very well throw her in the freezer anytime they wish, so I'd really hope that those Gillian fans could really open up their eyes and look at the whole picture. There might not be a day where we can give our support solely for Gillian, so I agree of how we should support her like there's no tomorrow. If things really run in the opposite way, we can just be proud that we supported Gillian through, be proud that she endured those hardships along the way, and just wish her a good path in the non-ET world. EEG has a big history of freezing all those people who had the talent to survive in the ET industry, so it's no surprise if Gillian's name is added to that list, despite how much we don't want it to be.

There's another thing about stereotyping. When something gets broadly noticed for a while, people start stereotyping that it's overdone. I remember back when the pairing of Raymond Lam and Michelle Ye was in hype, there were people complaining of how they were paired up too much, but really they were only paired up twice; they each had paired up with others much more than each other. It's the same thing with Gillian right now. Gillian gets noticed for playing martial arts roles well, so she's criticized for overdoing those roles. 'House Of Fury' is technically the only film that sells Gillian's KungFu; if you want to push it, then TTE II could be counted in as well because that's when her fighting got noticed, but three films, counting 'Let's Steal Together', isn't exactly overdoing it. I guess it's supposedly different for Jackie Chan because he brought HK to be noticed by Hollywood.

Artistes are more protected overseas, therefore they can sue as you've said. Knowing HK, if Gillian did anything like that, she'd be criticized up to the roof. I really hope this was worth it for Gillian; I mean, she only started crying after the scene was finished, which was when Charlene was woken up by her sobs. The director was also making these criticisms of how her kick wasn't good enough, so she had to do it over ten times before he'd let her go. It's good that Gillian actually let herself cry this time though; it's not good if she holds it in as she usually does, although I do prefer that she won't have any reason for any crying whatsoever. The crew should've paid more attention to her. Even though this is a film based on fighting scenes, can't they at least spread out the fighting scenes a bit? Hanging by wires for twenty hours is no joke; Gillian has already been injured by wires before, so why can't they be a tad bit more considerate about it?

I know; that was cute. Steven and Gillian always manage to have fun with each other. I watched a clearer version of the Sun Boy'Z Launch Party. It showed that Gillian was 'choking' Steven as she tied the cape for him. It sounded like he was talking back at her for something. Then there was a part with the underpants, Gillian nearly put it on Steven, but then she realized and just stopped, so Steven just said, "It's okay! I'll do it myself! I know you're shy!"

Steven's personal photos are actually quite interesting; there's one where he dressed himself up as Doraemon! He pulled his puppy out of the pouch infront of his stomach! Anyway, there was this one photo of Steven and Gillian, but Steven used a bunch of brushes on it to make a weird effect. I wish he posted the original as well. He took one with Gillian during the EEG dinner as well.

Seriously. I guess, some people think that just because Sa is criticized for portraying her bubbly self onscreen way too much, they can just drag Gillian in by claiming that Gillian has been in too many action films, which truly isn't the case at all. I'm not even going to count TE II because either way, both Twins were involved in that film so technically and realistically speaking with logic, the only film so far Gillian has portrayed as an action packed character would have to only be House of Fury. As for Let's Steal Together, I'm not going to add this film to Gillian's action films either because it's a Twins film, not Gillian. Some fans can really get out of hand. Raymond and Michelle were the jackpot for TVB; I seriously believe that it was because of the Raymond-Michelle pair that began this whole new younger generation trend. Ray and Michelle were one of the most successful leads of the younger generation of TVB stars to completely lead serials, which rarely happens since TVB is all about preserving older stars with experience as leads. And now that Ray-Michelle have paved a way for other young artists, TVB swings them the cold shoulder. And seriously, when is Leila gonna lead a TVB serial. I think it's about time; wait, is Leila even still with TVB? Anyway, that's why I just all of sudden stopped watching TVB serials because they're so boring to be watching the same leads in so many different serials, not too refreshing. TVB's favoritism is way too obvious.

Yeah, in Asian countries in general, it's such a horrible image to whine and complain even if the artist is deeply in pain; Gillian still has to cover her anger and disappointment. Who is directing? Is this hot shot part of the EMG crew or SunDream crew? I seriously want to hang him on wires for 20 straight hours and see if he'll cry. Not kicking good enough? I think that's understandable since the director should know what he's doing but he should allow Gillian a small break to regain her energy to begin kicking again because forcing one's body to kick continuously is exhausting thus leading to bad results. But after hearing about this wire incident, I don't think this director is a nice director afterall; I mean, if he was a caring director, he would be kept on his feet at all times regarding the health and welfare of his actors/cast/crew. I wonder if he even apologized for neglecting Gillian or did he just expect Gillian to suck it up and continue working on her action scenes?

I think it's kind of ridiculous how they said Gillian's roles are repetitive. I mean action films are a genre, it's not a fixed personality that the character is tie to like Charlene's past roles which was revolving around the same personality of the character. I mean Gillian could stare in as much action films as can, yet the only thing that could really get repetitive is the fighting movement or steps mostly. The two action movies Gillian filmed portrayed different characters so I don't see how it is repetitive

Yeah, I'm thinking of cleaning out my closet, full of CDs I rarely listen to now since I have my MP3 Player but hm, perhaps I'll keep Edison's albums just incase. I used to have Twins and Edison's albums out for display all over my room but it's been years since I've re-organized my room. EEG has some really neat extras that come with the albums; EEG's albums never fail to surprise me with their creative art.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the cute link. Edison did appear to be quite happy and shy as the camera zoomed in on him. The camera zoomed in on Bobo just to create that love triangle affect like Ronald-Sa-Miriam, nothing special. Edison and Gillian did share chemistry but sadly, by the time Edison and Gillian collaborated in films, they weren't on the best terms so their chemistry was a bit off but nonetheless, they do still care for each other, not as much news is concentrated them anymore but the sparks are still there.

Anyway. You are so right on that. Action films are a genre. Bubbly characters, serious roles, psychotic killers etc. can all star in an action packed film. Well, even if we do count TTE II, the word 'repetitive' still can't be used to hold against Gillian. bluehearts is right about how 'action' is a genre, so it can be quite broad with storylines and characters. Gillian had different characters in the two films that involved fighting anyway. A genre just can't be compared to a character's personality. Repetitive can be used if the same character is played in every single movie regardless of storyline, but it can't be used against a genre. The film industry would've been done a long time ago if we had to use repetitive to describe genres; there are only so many out there. I guess things just have to stay 'equal' between Twins, huh? One gets criticized for being repetitive, the other won't be spared. Wouldn't it be nice if positives went that way as well?

Anyway, TVB's and EEG's favoritism is pretty much the same thing. The ones sent out to test the waters are never cherished as they should be; they're just simply left in the corner later on as they bring the rest of the gang along to walk on the path that those first people worked hard to pave out. I believe Raymond+Michelle played big parts in TVB's new young generation trend as well. TVB's new promoted favourites haven't exactly been doing so well either; I haven't seen another serial led by a young generation cast peak at 42 pts since Eternal Happiness, which was led by none other than Raymond and Michelle. the first serial ever made by using younger artistes. It sure makes us wonder why TVB decided to slip Joey in as their female lead for a sequel to a previous serial which didn't have quite spectacular results. Seriously, Raymond is following Michelle's footsteps; I heard he was sent to film in Mainland at the moment? This is complete deja vu of what happened to Michelle back then. Leila's only problem is that she's not a full-time TVB artiste; that's probably the only thing keeping her from completely leading. Since she's not completely under TVB's control, TVB isn't secure enough of promoting her full. Leila expressed that she likes her freedom of choosing what she wants instead of having TVB choose it all for her if she were a full-time TVB aritste. I respect that. I wish Gillian was offered this flexibility.


I'd say that if this director is a good director, he would've offered up a break to Gillian automatically instead of hanging her there to reach extreme discomfort and exhaustion. He'd better have apologized to her; isn't it the least he could do? Or maybe he'd be considerate enough to let Gillian have a filming day of limited fighting scenes to give her a break and continue with them later? Unless they have some tight schedule thing going on, and Gillian's scenes mostly consisted of fighting. The director should've been looking out for each aspect of film producing instead of just looking for good results and film schedules. He needs a good, strong team to achieve good results, doesn't he? If Gillian gets so worn out, then she wouldn't be able to do any of the fighting scenes.


Edison looked so cute in the clip! His smile actually looked really bright right there; sometimes his smile turns out to be a bit of a smirk? You can tell that Gillian has gotten much more confident over the years because she was so shy when speaking in that clip that took place in 2001.

Yes, one could stay in action films for a long time but still maintain versatility, character-wise. Although it is tiring for the artiste. Well, if the crowd is complaining about being repetitive, then I wouldn't mind if Gillian was offered a few more films of different genres to satisfy them. Gillian's quite versatile in many aspects, such as her voice and even her beauty, so she might as well keep up with the genres of her films as well?

Yeah I am, actually I'm more of a Gill+ any fan. Like EG/NG/KG/SG/AG (Alan), doesn't matter who basically I'll like Gillian with anyone expact maybe Daniel. Not really fond of hi.

I guess the EG crazes is back, i seriously think they would still be bestfriend and keep in touch if EEG hadnt stick their nose in. The very first time i saw " How Bad" MV, i know Ed and Gill is the " it" couple back then and now. Even Ed is the one who request Gill to sing duet with him, but some how the whole EG thing cause by EEG behind. They try to promote Twins, when they first come out and Edsison as well. While Char busy with her film, they make Ed and Gill is the hot items in the market, with the whole "Ed-Gill-Shawn" rumour thing.

I really disagree that Gill alway play same character because it alway the ation. Twins just basically shared the same thing in the article Little_Purple_Bell translated of how Gillian felt like there was pain around her waist area and had asked the director to lower her down but because he didn't hear her request and her screech of pain, he didn't. I think they had to do this scene in particular numerous of times until the director was satisfied because at the end, the director finally assured Gillian that she did a good job and lowered Gillian down; immediately when Gillian got onto the ground, she broke down in tears. Oh yeah, Sa also stated the same thing of how Sa was awoken by Gillian's cry. Boy, this is actually the first time I've seen Gillian carry on a speech or interview this long without any interruptions. Any corrections made? My Chinese is also quite poor.

Let's Steal Together: while i was showering, the news on hong kong entertainment was on the radio and my sister said they were talking about the new twins movie and how gillian was in pain while hanging on the wires but my sister said that they were also talking about a circus or something being in the movie and how for the scene, twins had to bond with the animals. that sounds a little off so i don't know if that was true or not but when i came out of the bathroom, i did hear the rest of the news and yes twins do fight each other in the movie. they talked about how charlene and gillian were fighting eachother and charlene used the wrong move and really hurt gillian. poor gillian! although she's paid a high amount of money for this, she's just endured too much pain. i really hope this movie was worth the pain.

Another Twins duel? Is that even necessary? Anyway, what another great way for both Twins to bond. I agree. Just because Gillian's salary increased, doesn't mean Gillian can grow wings and fly. Gillian is very strong-willed yet a bit on the side of being introverted. This point is already made from looking at Gillian's personality from when she was a young girl. When Gillian was young, she lived in YauMaDei as her school was located in GauLungTong. One morning, because of the heavy rain, the area around Gillian's house had all been flooded. Gillian's mother didn't allow her daughter to go to school that day, but Gillian persisted and even went to school by herself. She waited for a long time, but there were still no buses coming. Through the rain, Gillian started walking along the road, hoping there'd be a bus arriving, but she had ended up walking all the way from YauMaDei to GauLungTong. It had been a long, cold, and laborious walk for Gillian on the way, but she had refused to give up midway. In the end, she did safely arrive at her school. Today's Gillian still has this kind of determination. There has been others criticizing her for not singing well enough, therefore she works and practises harder as a response. For the concert which took place at the beginning of this year, Gillian's singing was greatly complimented numerously. She had obviously improved on her weak spots of singing such as gaining more breath to last longer while singing. Everyone should feel the hardworking aspect of Twins. Being an artiste who wishes to succeed, this type of determination cannot be missed.

Twins, Jason Wu, and Jess Zhang were in GuangZhou two nights ago filming for 'Let's Steal Together'; they had to film a scene with hippos! Gillian was sadly soaked with water because of the naughty and playful hippos. The scene talked about Twins leading the animals out, but because the hippos were frightened by the flashes of the camera, they immediately started to wag their tails and soaked Gillian with water! Poor girl! Afterwards, Twins expressed that they were doing scenes with wires again earlier, and it had caused their body figures to be clearly seen, "With the scene, we wore spandex pants because of having to be hung by wires, but it caused our body figures to be so clearly seen! It's so embarassing! (Which part was most embarassing?) Of course our important parts!"

As to Jason Wu, who is supposedly taking over for Tian Liang, expressed, "I only found out after accepting this film! (Taking over for Tian Liang?) I don't mind if it is true, but the director told me that this is a newly written character. I'm having stomach problems from filming this movie right now; I've been in the hospital for three days and took in four IVs already. I think I need another one tonight!"

Calmness and patience combined is a kind of tolerance that a respected star should have. Gillian Chung, of Twins, has this kind of temperance. From the moment Gillian walked in with her assistant, to the time when she got her make up done and got dressed for the photoshoot, those moments were all very relaxed and comfortable.

Hong Kong Men, Hong Kong Women

When speaking with Gillian about the special characteristics of Hong Kong's females, she expressed with a laugh, "This year's Mr. Hong Kong has this issue as well!" With Gillian's bright smile, we carried on our conversation about the Mr. Hong Kong contest, which had just ended. To this time, her smile somehow looked even brighter than before, "I saw the recording of this year's contest. It's so funny!" She started describing of how the contest went with many active movements and gestures. As she got to when the contestants just rose up from the water during one part, and when a contestant even threw his wet shirt at one of the judges, shocking the judge terribly and not knowing what to do with the wet shirt. Being one of the judges last year, she feels that it would be even more hilarious if she was actually there because the atmosphere would be completely different. "I think it'd be like going to see a foreshow!" Mr. HK has already been here for two years; perhaps, the popularity of the event comes from how entertaining it is; therefore, many of the public feel that Mr. HK is much more amusing than Miss HK because it's more plentiful in the entertaining aspect. "Their actions were crazy and hilarious! Maybe it's because the general public feel that they can be bolder when approaching men rather than women; hence, there's a contrast happening with Miss HK. They may believe that they should portray more respect and be more preserved with females." Of course, Gillian would have her own beliefs, "I remember last year, Tony Jaa came as a performing guest. I felt that he was even more masculine than the contestants. I feel that men don't necessarily have to show off their bodys in order to show their masculine side."

After a bit more gibbering with Gillian, we continued to talk about the HK females. Being a female of HK, what does Gillian think of as the positives and negatives of HK females? "I think HK females really have their own insights on things, and they are able to get used to different situations very quickly. Perhaps it's because females can now achieve much more in education than before. As the level of education rises, they are able to be independent, and not all opinionated women are mean and stubborn either." After thinking for a moment, Gillian feels that the weak spot of HK females in general could possibly be their body structure; it would be great if Hk females are able to be a bit taller!

Talent Group? Idol Group?

When talking about beauty contests, Gillian talked about her history. "When I was young, there had been a relative of mine who constantly persuaded me to go compete in a beauty contest, yet I've never thought about it nor did I have enough courage. In contrast, my family were suggesting for me to compete in singing contests, but I still didn't participate in one." Thereafter, Gillian joined a modelling company, then came the forming of Twins with Charlene Choi, they became very popular in a short time and became idols to many." Recently, their idol, Mavis Fan, wrote a song for them. Did they feel any pressure at all? "I did feel pressure towards her because she's one of my idols. Actually, towards idols, seldom do I actually speak out to tell them that I like them." With many dazing on her, Gillian is already a member of the idol group, but has she thought about switching from the idol group to the talent group? "At the moment, I can only do my job properly and keep up with being an idol member. Actually, there is no one who doesn't have a chance to become a talent member; it all sums down to whether he or she has worked for it or not." Looking at Gillian as she states this, there's a feeling floating around that her final goal will be transforming into an artiste who is a member of the group based on talent.

Youthfulness Is A Good Healing Treatment

"I joined EEG when I was 20. Personally, I've never thought of entering the ET business before that point, but I had the feeling that it's a good chance at the time, so I gave it a shot." With a heart of taking risks, Gillian walked into the ET business. "Different people will do different jobs. We'll all have times of when we're busy. I believe I'm a person who is able to bear many things. Also, I should do whatever I can right now when I still have the ability to. If not, should I wait until I grow old and then do it?" Curious of when she thinks she'll stop being an artiste? "I've thought about quitting the ET industry when I'm in my mid-thirties. Charlene told me that if a woman gives birth after she turns forty, her child will be smarter." After leaving, what kind of lifestyle would Gillian want? "My childhood dream was to become an interior designer. My mom has taken me to learn sketching, so if one day, I do discontinue my job as an artiste, perhaps I'll study interior design to complete my childhood dream."

Each person's youth is as short as a spark, so how does Gillian see youthfulness as? "I feel that youthfulness is being able to recover strength quickly after a day of busy work. It's like how those people with youth are able to recover quickly even if they're injured." It does sound true; in other words, shouldn't youthfulness be considered as a good healing treatment?

A Princess Without Vengeance

Gillian frankly states that off-screen, she's a very talkative girl. It's just that during times that she's not familiar with the surroundings and people, she seals herself up more for protection. Does that mean she's afraid of reporters too? "Afraid of reporters? I was when I first came into the ET industry because I was led on to say something wrong, but I feel much better around them now."

Which character would be Gillian's favourite after entering the film industry? "I love the princess from Beyond Our Ken (Chinese title: The Princess Of Vengeance). On appearance, she seems a lot like me, but she's actually someone with a big ambition. This character is very different from any of the other characteres I've portrayed, and it's challenging." Collaborating so much with Charlene as Twins, how would Gillian describe her relationship with Charlene? How do they build up their chemistry? "I remember at first we weren't very familiar with each other, so we basically just kept our own opinions bottled up, but ever since we went on a vacation along with our assistant, we started to know each other better. We understood each other more, so we were able to build on a friendship. Our chemistry accumulates from working together, and now we would care more about things that happen with each other."

Love And Future

There weren't too many romances exposed of this girl, but how does she really feel about love in reality? When a man tells her his feelings, what kind of question would she ask him? "I would ask: 'What do you love of me?'" From the different stages of love, which stage would she want to stay at if she had to choose? Guessing and flirting? Passionate love? Or just a stable feeling? "Of course the stage of passionate love! I'd want love to be growing every single day. Why not choose the stage of guessing and flirting? I could never stay among that stage of guessing around and flirting here and there; it's much too embarassing!"

Speaking of the future, through the singing and acting awards or any type of honour, what is it that Gillian would want to achieve the most? "I would actually want to get an award for acting because I think it's very hard to achieve. There are many extraordinary actors out there who are needing to use over twenty years of hard work to receive one award, so I would want to be working hard towards that as well."

Some TVB actors just don't have enough charisma to maintain the audience's interest. Ray and Michelle just outshine the rest with their natural chemistry and onscreen presence. It is such a pity that TVB has been losing such good members of the team. In place of the older generation of stars, I initially believed Ray would be one of the main leading males, not Ron and Michelle will take the female seat of leads, not Tavia or Myolie etc. But I'm glad that Ray is following Michelle's footsteps; perhaps Ray and Michelle can reunite in a non-TVB serial. Oh, so that's the case for Leila. Either way, I believe Leila deserves a lot more than what she has been receiving.

I guess, everyone is just out to overwork Gillian since her salary is supposed to compensate for her sweat and blood. The director sounds like a person who doesn't compromise much especially when he believes whatever he demands from the cast is absolutely necessary and vital to the film. Aren't all HK films these days rushed and pressed for time? I'm not too surprised if this film is on a tight schedule since it took the crew so long to find the right cast and storyline after so many alterations.

Gillian does have really nice shoulders. I love the wardrobe as well, so elegant and womanly beautiful.

Let's Steal Together is a HK$24m contemporary martial arts comedy that is basically about two artful thieves' hunt for treasure. The cast includes Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi, Wu Jing, Zhang Qian, Yuen Wah, Shek Sau, Steven Cheung, etc. Let's Steal Together is expected to be released in early 2007.

It's the first time Kong Tao Hoi, an action director and production planner, works as a director. He was the one behind all sorts of sleight of hand card tricks that Chow Yun Fat did in God of Gamblers. This time around, he will devise not only a set of tough moves for The Twins, but also fresh, novel ways of pilfering.

Wu Jing plays dual roles, one of which is a martial arts exponent raised by a lama (huh? i thought he was a cop), while another a character who passed away due to cancer. Wu Jing says that he accepted the project because of Tsui Siu Ming, who has always been supportive of him, and that he holds Tsiu Siu Ming in respect. When being called by Tsui Siu Ming, and that his management thought that the movie was not bad, they decided to took up the offer. Wu Jing will exchange blows against Twins Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi. He believes that their fight scenes will turn out well as long as they can get used to each other's rhythm. He adds that while the martial arts scenes in Let's Steal Together are different from SPL, he will be facing quite a bit of challenging actions.

Jeffrey, the movie's promoter, says the production specifically had the script revised for Wu Jing, "Initially, there weren't too many action scenes for Tian Liang's role, but with martial artist Wu Jing's participation, we have to include more fight scenes, naturally. At the same time, Wu Jing will have romances with The Twins." Apart from Twins, Zhang Qian will have a relationship with Wu Jing. In the movie, she has a brother who is afflicted by cancer.

Because of the hot weather, with temperature going up to as high as 40ºC, many of the production crew are being struck by heatstroke. Gillian Chung has also caught a flu. However, due to tight schedule, she didn't even have time to visit the doctor. Gillian Chung says that she often feels a lack of oxygen upon knocking off and returning from the set.Meanwhile, Charlene Choi has sprained her waist. Despite The Twins' complaints of the difficulties, Wu Jing still praises them for their professionalism, while The Twins are full of admiration for this martial arts star.

Recently, Wu Jing suffered from appendicitis, gastritis and leukopenia, and has just discharged after 3 days' stay at the hospital. He explains that it might be due to the fact that he has to worked in the night often, and has had many action scenes to handle and has to suspend on wires, and coupled with the sweltering weather, he could hardly sleep and did not had much appetite, and thus, his health was aversely affected.

When shooting a scene, Gillian Chung was suspended on wires for 2 consecutive hours. Though she was feeling uncomfortable and even requested for a break and put her down, the director did not hear her and even commended that the certain kick she did was nicely executed, and asked her to do it again. She ended up doing it for 10 times. She let out a scream when eventually she released from the wires.

On July 24 night, filming took place at Guangzhou Changlong Night Safari. Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi were doing circus performances and had to tame the hippopotamus, monkeys, goats, monkeys, birds and tigers. In one scene, The Twins lead a pair of hippopotamuses into the ring. On each hippopotamus was a goat and a monkey. Due to some minor slips on The Twins' part and that it wasn't easy to coax the animals into cooperating, it took them 90 minutes just to film the 10-second scene.
