If I'm correct, then I think the article is written by a online website of Mainland. It doesn't seem to be one of those very official news sources. Even if it is an official news source, it sure isn't sounding like one. A news source should be stating with facts and give attempts to stay general, and this article definitely sounds biased.

I'm just seeing a load of BS right there. Come on, if Gillian doesn't have the ability to survive or be worth keeping in the ET industry, EEG, nearly always looking at benefits of finances first, would've kicked her right out already. If that were true, then EEG wouldn't make plans for Charlene to guide Gillian one more year because it'd practically be stalling Charlene's career, if Charlene was the only one from Twins who could jump right into a solo career. It would've already been done if the author's 'facts' were true. Why would EEG want to keep her when they obviously don't love Gillian to pieces that they would still support her even if she can't make it? It would've been right in the dumpster for her by now. The article is just making it sound like Gillian can't survive without Charlene when really, Twins are more or less interdependent on each other in several aspects. They do help each other out, depending who's being attacked about rumours. And does Gillian's body figure have to do with everything?

For the singing part, I definitely have a lot of disagreeing to do about it. Never mind comparing to Charlene, but just based on Gillian herself, she's made many improvements to her singing skills this year. Just check out each one of her solo performances, then onto her Twins performances, and her duets with Kenny and Alan, she gave improvements and surprises in each one. Come on, even Mani agreed to Gillian's improvements. Her Mandarin solo's lyrics and tune was a little bland to begin with, but Gillian's voice just brings it to life. As the author compares the two Mandarin solos, I don't see how he/she was able to tell that Gillian's singing skills lacked far behind.

I agree, if Gillian's solo was that bad, it wouldn't be well accepted online and in Beijing (I think, I know that her solo is popular in a part of China). Also, Gillian's songs has many high notes that she has to hit, compared to the usual, simple songs that they sing. And another thing, I really don't understand some people, if an artist gained a little weight, they start bashing them and calling them fat, so the artist goes on a diet, and then they start calling them anorexic. What does the artist need to do to make them content? Besides, Gillian stated recently that she's fine with her weight, and that if she lost the 30 pounds that Mani had said she had to lose, she would be nothing but bones. So if Gillian herself is fine with her weight, then why should other people care?

And about needing Charlene to guide Gillian for one more year, if they thought that Charlene could do well going solo, then EEG could have broken them up like how they did with Boy'z, instead of keeping 'Twins' together. And if Gillian wasn't focused on her career, she wouldn't be working so hard, day and night to perform, film movies, and record songs. She could just go home and take a nap and not care about her job if she wasn't focused. Hm, I'm sorry but even if this article does pop up in association to those well-known sites, I wouldn't consider it a real piece of news, much more of opinions than anything from one main author, writer online. Whether it was from one blog or not, this author is obviously still a Sa fan who had nothing better to do than bash Gillian and decided to perhaps create a stir by tagging it onto some high profile Chinese sites. I mean, even if this person is out to pick at every little thing of Gillian's, at least have some concrete evidence with it. I highly doubt there's a printed form of this; this is very much an opinionated piece of writing. It can't possibly make it to be published; I'd say it wouldn't even be considered. A professional piece of writing would never use terms such as those chosen by this author. Even if there was, it would not be used to be stated directly towards an artiste, but rather through an implication. This author has a long way to go until she reaches professionalism.


I hope Gillian won't even hear of this news. If she does, then I hope she won't be affected by it. I agree of how Gillian has only recently started to gain back her lost confidence while performing, and the last thing she needs is to lose it again by a few opinionated and biased statements. Hopefully, even if she finds out, she's able to brush it off and know the truth about herself and trust our support for her. Perhaps she's able to stand even stronger with the criticisms. Maybe this author is feeling threatened because Gillian's obviously made many improvements this year? I have to say, this is a year of which Gillian has made a lot of progress in. Anyway, I don't think it is EEG writing this article; if it was EEG wanting to shoot Gillian down, then they would've posted it up on HK printed news, the newspapers and magazines that they own such as Oriental Daily, The Sun, or Monday. Those sources would've made a much bigger impact than just posting it at these online Mainland sources. I would say that EEG wouldn't doubt our intelligence to know how biased they are; we obviously know which Twin they favour more. What other reaction would we give but "Oh, yeah right!" when we read that line about stalling Charlene to guide Gillian? We'd be nearly rolling on the ground laughing at that big joke. I mean, they wouldn't think we're stupid, right? So, that's why I don't think it's EEG. EEG has more power than just this. This article, by far, is only some fantasy of some woman out there, words pasted together to form lies. Even a lie, it's a complete failing lie. There isn't a single true fact out there to back up her opinions.



At a time like this, it sure feels like going solo is a good thing. I just see the possibility of publishing such a biased piece of junk in an actual newspaper very slim; hopefully, I'm right, and HK hasn't sunk that low yet. I agree. This year alone, Gillian has completely evolved into such a mature, bold, and confident woman. Gillian's responses in interviews, magazines, and news are straight forward, honest, and simple. Gillian has mastered her abilities in simultaneously dancing and singing at the same rate without losing balance and breath. Gillian has expanded her singing genres in live duets and a few more solo performances. Gillian has finally, finally regained back her solid voice through confidence and has overcome the label of being an introvert through constant jokes, laughs, and answers to direct questions regarding her personality and nature that have never been revealed before. Though Gillian hasn't filmed much this year, Gillian's name is still fresh on people's minds from her recent hits. Gillian Chung today has definitely entered the ET industry to stay, with or without Twins, perhaps that is so evident, this author just had to share her biased opinions to persuade fans at the last minute.

I'm the same, I don't really trust online sources even though, they're quick and easy to access but at times, there is so much jibberish online, you really have to trust your own instincts in what is fake and what is true because the majority of articles that actually do make it to the front pages of news papers have been filtered and researched, enough to trust moreso than online sources. Tom and Sina etc. have established themselves moreso as websites for photos, not necessarily the main center for news so if news is not their direct concern, I'm afraid a few articles that are publicized on their sites aren't always valid because they don't have the copyright claim to claim that every article they publish on their site is true like a lot of the main news sites are responsible for.

If EEG or any of their reporters rubs it in Gillian's face that Sa is surpassing Gillian with Diary, Gillian can stand up strongly, stare directly into Mani's face, then turn back right into the camera without blinking and say, "How do I feel currently? Yep, your concept of Gillian being everyone's threat makes a lot of sense about this article along with a whole bunch of other stuff. Why else does this person sound so desperate in bashing Gillian with every possible statement? Gillian's evolving so much in her singing skills and overall performances this year that she's becoming an even larger threat than before; that's more than likely why the author is trying to send Gillian a good blow with her supposed critique. Of course, it backfired because it doesn't even qualify as a professional piece of writing. Gillian has revealed herself more and more lately, with answers she gives during interviews. She's been attempting to avoid any interruptions during her speeches; that's a good start. I agree that Gillian Chung is in for good with all those improvements she offers up; the only major obstacle she has is her own company.

For online sources, I only trust those websites that have a printed version of their news but provide an online version for our convenience. Ones like tom or sina just aren't promising enough for me. I like their photos, but I choose to pass on their written information. All around the web, there are just people who post false information online just for their pleasure of decepting people, so it's more or less like be careful of what you believe.

Well, that is our concern about Gillian going solo. We know that she doesn't have problems about exterior issues such as the public and support, but we're just not sure whether she'll be able to get a good amount of promotions and exposure to keep up with her career, and those are things that we can't do anything about. We just have to hope that if the members of Twins go solo, Gillian wouldn't be though of as much of a direct threat to people, and they'll be able to be considered separately about promotions and jobs for the most part. Biased issues will still exist, but I only hope that it won't be so obvious.

I believe Gillian owns three cats (Princess, BB, Momo) and one dog (Colin). I heard Gillian has a great passion for cats. That photo is so cute.

Though, the chances are slim for Edison-Gillian, their special relationship seems so bitter-sweet; both have definitely experienced the bitter part, time for the sweet portion. I guess, both have learned, a deep underground relationship is best, if they are dating currently.

Yeah, I don't think Gillian is V either. I think that it would be mentioned in the papers if one of her cats died, or she would appear to be upset. Gillian is pretty blunt with how she's feeling through her facial expressions; according to the HK fans, Gillian actually appears to be happier than usual lately when they see her at functions. I don't think she'd be that happy if one of her pets died.


I don't mind Charlene having the spotlight either, but I just don't want Gillian to be practically invisible during that time period, or worse off be harassed about being surpassed. The media just love comparing Gillian and ask how she feels about this other person's achievements; remember how she was asked if she envied Isabella at the '49 Days' premiere? It was good that Gillian managed to snap back that she doesn't have a reason to envy because her films were entered in film festivals before as well. The comparision with Charlene is bound to be a lot worse if questions were to be brought up. All thanks to the influence of EEG and the fact that they are of one group. At least with Isabella, it was just a one time thing. Anyway, I guess with EEG, any sacrifice is worth it if it's for Charlene, eh? Perhaps Edison is a possessive person? It does sound like it. I'm guessing you'd really have to be a 'sticking together 24/7 person' to really get along with Edison's love.
