I didn't understand the text that appeared on the screen at first (neither did Gillian), but then Alan and the other guy explained that when they were younger....teachers used to say those three words to reduce them to silence. Don't know what they actually meant by saying that...because it sounded quite irrevelant to me. Anyways and then they asked her why she chose such a hard song (the song she sang is a duet)
The other guy said that at first she sang with a very sweet voice and then suddenly she lowered her pitch.
Charlene explained that's because Gillian 'was' both the guy and the girl...

I watched the 2006 Concert again, and I just now realized that when Gillian was in the orange outfit it was really a pant and not a dress. And I was thinking if its a pant why do they need that extra part covering it?

mmm... i'm not sure if anyone here can help, but i think this is the best place for me to ask. I've been trying to find a better version of this one picture of Gillian. It seems to be a scan from a cosmo girl magazine, but it has all these flaws on the picture. I'm not sure if the magazine added this effect to the photo to make it look vintage, but if anyone has a crisp version of this picture... my goodness how i would love to ask you for a favor... haha.

Anyways, here's the picture... i love it, the simple nature of it... the summer dress... the book... a country girl, perhaps during the american depression of the 30s...

I think that Gillian's pretty, but just a bit on the short side

If only our suggestions were seriously considered by EEG's management, Gillian's future will be nothing but success. The only thing I'm anticipating for sure is Gillian's solo ballad; let's see if it will be enough to save Gillian from heavy criticisms and comparisons during Sa's Diary spotlight. I still wish Gillian can further develop in her acting abilities but seems like that area has been completely closed for her, at the moment at least. I'm hoping a collaboration with Andy and a productions with either the Pang Brothers or the filming crew of 49 Days will be Gillian's ending projects before the temporary freeze as Gillian heads on over to the music industry, solo.

Andy is Andy. The Andy now perhaps has more of an influence than the Andy then? Plus, the Hong Kong music industry is quite desperate to maintain the audience's interest, an Andy-Gillian duet will definitely be a surprise. Me too. I want to hear how well Gillian's versatile voice can synchronize with other female artists other than Sa. Vibratos and strength is all Gillian really needs to improve; I mean, embark upon.

That's the thing too. I would hate to see EEG push Gillian out there into the music industry just to test out the waters as a solo artist and if Gillian receives success, EEG will probably push Sa out there as well and stop promoting Gillian as Sa grabs both industries. I do enjoy Sa as an actress moreso as a singing artist but we all know that EEG would love for Sa to balance out both worlds. I mean, if Gillian is EEG's guinea pig or lab mouse just to experiement with and later on take all of her profits, results, and benefits just to promote someone else? That would be extremely sad and upsetting. I mean, if Gillian gains success in the music industry, even though Gillian will be presenting a solo Gillian but Gillian's name will always somehow be associated to Twins so if Gillian achieves success, you bet, EEG will definitely not lose that chance to push Sa into the music industry as well.

The outfit was a skirt over a pair of orange plastic capris. I was sort of laughing when Gillian couldn't perform a complete cartwheel due to the rigid lower portion of her outfit lol. That huge bow was such a hassle. Gillian expressed such a cute funny look when she realized that her cartwheel wasn't complete.

Hm, if I remember correctly, I believe CosmoGirl, the actual magazine, added the vintage effect to it. I'm not sure if this is a scan or not because looks like this is the official wallpaper CosmoGirl created for this photoshoot but I could be wrong.

This is actually one of the best photoshoots I've seen of Gillian, Twins for that matter. It's unique and different; I love the depressing colors and odd postures. Gillian looks lovely.

Anyway, I'll be away for a week. Sadly, I'll be leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow, that's why I've been busy packing up and this time around, I can't bring my laptop with me so I'm bummed out. Anyway, I wished this trip would have been next week, right in time for Show and Rainie's concert but unfortunately, by the time they arrive in Vegas, I would have already returned home. Keep the Gillian love spreading guys.

Thanks for sharing this! I know, Gillian is skinny but her stylist -- or dresser, what ever you call them: Needs to get shot. Not literally of course but in my opinion they are doing a very poor job dressing Gill. Her oversize do nothing to show her figure and add to the idea that she's overweight.

Thanks for sharing. I think Gillian's figure is really nice and healthy as well, but I wasn't too amused when I was reading comments from CCT of how Gillian looked too 'meaty'. I guess the perspectives are different between people from different places, so we just have to accept that the general public in China/HK/Taiwan prefer skin and bones. Ah, enough about that. Anyway, Gillian's hair was alright; the braids are more refreshing than just the same old curly hair. It was funny of how Gillian was surrounded by the workers to get her braids done.


Yeah, I've been loving that duet. Steven+Isabella definitely synchronize better than Kenny+Isabella. Steven also has a solo song included on Isabella's recent album; it sounds pretty good, and he composed it himself. Perhaps splitting is a good idea since tables are turning a bit for Steven as he parts from Kenny as group partners. He is still stuck inside a group with two other newbies, but Steven's been allowed to do more stuff on his own behalf. I'd still prefer for him to go for a solo position though. Hopefully, things could get much better for Gillian as she parts from Charlene as group partners just like it did for Steven, preferably both are granted a solo position. The Steven+Isabella pairing has really gotten to be more 'official'; they're hanging around together so often now. Now, it makes me think that the Kenny+Gillian pairing should get on the move as well. Bottom line is, Gillian really shouldn't be frozen after the Twins split.

I put a watermark of EG's faces on the last two because I don't want people to be using it w/o my permission, so I hope you guys don't mind. I didn't put a watermark on the Alan and Gillian one because I started the watermark on the EG ones and I don't think there are that much fans of the 'Alan and Gillian' pairing besides us, so I doubt anyone would use it. =D

Out of the three, I really like the Alan and Gillian one, it just fits so perfectly and looks so nice. =D [Hope I didn't sound cocky or anything by saying how nice my creation was.]

Also, all of them, the original girl was Jolin Tsai, and after looking at the manipulation of Alan and Gillian, it seems like that kind of a hairstyle would look really nice on Gillian. She should have done this hairstyle when she had really long hair, instead of those small poofy curls that she had while promoting 'Around The World With 80 Dollars'. Maybe she can grow her hair out and get bangs later on this year and have this kind of hairstyle. That's only if her hairstylist will FINALLY STOP giving Gillian curly hair/tiny braids (that eventually lead to curls once you take the braids out.).

TWINS演唱会大抛冷弹

首次前来大马举办大型演唱会的TWINS一改可爱的形象，大玩性感造型，尽管带来劲歌热舞，却无法炒热演唱会现场的气氛，导致演唱会现场的气氛犹如云顶天气般的"寒冷"！

TWINS在演唱会上大抛"冷弹"，整场演唱会无论是嘉宾关智斌出场与她们合唱《死性不改》或播放特别录制的VCR画面，都纷纷出现"闷场"，只瞧阿娇（钟欣桐）和阿Sa（蔡卓妍）整晚似乎都不在状况中，不时站在台上傻笑的模样，要不然就忘了下一部分的歌曲，再加上不擅长搞热现场的气氛，让观众也无法 HIGH起来。幸亏最后TWINS为了这场世界巡回演唱会特别编制了一段劲歌热舞，才成功唤起观众的热情情绪，不过激昂的气氛持续不久后即恢复死寂！

由HOTLINK荣誉呈献，云顶娱乐城主办的《Twins环游世界大马演唱会》周五晚上在云顶高原云星剧场盛大引爆，首场的演唱会约有70巴仙的入场率。是晚的TWINS分别换上四套服装、六种款式与观众朋友见面，不难发现TWINS开始迈向"女人味"的路线发展，尤其是当晚以一袭性感的银色珠片的服装，露出了黑色性感的小背心和热裤，在一番劲歌热舞的衬托下更具看头！

8时15分，全场灯光一暗，TWINS在观众毫无准备的情况下，"突然"以森巴女郎的造型出场并演唱一曲《Ichiban兴奋》，为这场演唱会掀开序幕，因为一切发生得太突然，当观?还来不及反应之下，TWINS又继续带来《爱情当入樽》，让场面顿时出现一片"冷场"。

甫出场的阿SA因不小心绊到脚，而差点跌倒，导致TWINS在舞台上也不敢有太大的动作，尽管在强劲的歌曲带动下，TWINS只是轻摇身姿，让画面缺乏了一些"动感"。

入乡随俗，TWINS欲展现她们所苦练的马来文时，却因为"猫纸"被碎纸掩盖而向观众道歉说："看不到猫纸，等我一下，我要弄走这些碎纸先！"之后她们带着广东口音说出："apa khabar，kami Twins！sudahkah makan belum，kami sudah makan nasi ayam dan laksa！"成功"完成"这番话的阿娇和阿SA也在台上傻笑了起来。

虽然说演唱会有不少的闷场，不过TWINS的演出还是有让观众感到惊喜的部分，尤其是她们带来华语歌曲的组曲，包括《爱如潮水》、《明天我要嫁给你》、《遇见》、《我愿意》、《都是你》以及《老鼠爱大米》，也带动了全场观众与她们一起合唱。

作为TWINS世界巡回演唱会的首站，大马观众的确是大饱耳福和眼福，因能率先观赏到TWINS特别编制的一段劲歌热舞，她们把《80块环游世界》和《一时无两》串烧成组曲，身穿性感的舞衣，一场约10分钟的精湛演绎，的确让观众感到惊喜不已！

与此同时，TWINS更在演唱会上邀请了台下两位男歌迷上台合唱《下一站天后》，虽然能够带动台下的气氛，但略嫌有点"歌友会"的感觉；最叫人感到费解的是，之后TWINS又邀请2位女歌迷上台发问问题，问了些奇怪无聊的问题，连台上的阿娇之后也不禁露出尴尬的表情笑说："我也不知为什么要问这些问题，很无聊！"

I love the Edison and Gillian dancing one! All three of them actually look very nice! Your suggestion for Gillian's hairstyle is pretty good; let's hope that there's some chance of Gillian's hairstylists actually making some good changes to Gillian's hair as soon as 'Let's Steal Together' is finished filming.

This list is pretty different than what happened in HK. They cut the solo parts right out; I suppose that's to fit in the mandarin songs.


Two nights ago, Twins were at Genting; there, they held the 'Twins -- Around The World Genting Concert'. Passionate screams and calls were made. Even though it is basically bringing HK's concert here to Malaysia, but Twins still had a sexy bra top with beads outfit and two skirt outfits, gold and purple, designed for the Malaysian fans. The unfortunate event was that there were traffic jams occurring in Malaysia, causing about a thousand people not being able to get in because of the delay. Those fans still went waiting for Twins at the hotel; Twins did express regret.

Twins brought this year's January's 'Twins -- The Missing Piece Concert' to Genting, and this is their first stop of their world tour. As the doors opened, the performance area was filled with about 5000 - 6000 people. Two new outfits were specially designed for this concert; one is a black outfit with a vaguely shown bra top, making Charlene and Gillian looking very sexy. The other outfit is a skirt outfit, with Gillian's of the colour gold and Charlene's of the colour purple; those are also new. As the concert began, Twins used Malay to greet the audience, yet guidance papers were obviously seen to be taped on the stage. The two of them ended up pronouncing the words partially correct and partially incorrect, leading the audience to burst out laughing. Twins frequently make contact with the audience. When singing 'Strawberry Apple Orange', they gave out squishy toys in the shape of fruits, balloons, and beach volleyballs; it led to a big tumult of the audience in competition to receive these gifts. Two male fans were also invited on-stage; they were allowed to hold Charlene's and Gillian's hands while singing 'Next Stop Diva Queen' together. The male fan who was holding Charlene's hand was very shaky while singing due to being nervous. Female fans were also allowed on-stage to interact with Twins. This is Kenny Kwan's first time coming to Genting as a solo artiste; he's been filming a series lately, hence his extremely short haircut. There were female fans who took the chance of touching his head while shaking hands with him and complimenting that it looks very cool.

The concert two nights ago also had another incident. Because Malaysia frequently has major traffic jams, there were about 800 people who weren't able to get there on time; there were also some who couldn't get in because of the major delay. They ended up gathering at the hotel where Twins resided to wait for them; some even cried. To me Gillian's dress looks like yellow instead of gold. I just can't believe there is a traffic jam and feel bad for those fans can't make it to the concert. And those two male fans are so lucky were able to hold hands with Twins and singing along with them. i'm so jealous.

The Malaysian newspapers were stating that the concert looked empty here and there, but we can see that it's because of the traffic jams; Gillian was once again being criticized of being 'fat'. She actually looks like she's slimmed up even more at this concert rather than being as bulky as the media claim. A fan who went to visit at the 'Let's Steal Together' filming area expressed that Gillian really is trying to lose weight at the moment since Gillian told her herself. Ah, Gillian injured her waist from the wires while filming, so the parts of twisting were removed from her dance steps. Actually from what I heard from others who went to this concert, the second night (19th) it didn't go to well. They had made fake snow fall and during singing "Eye Red Red" Charlene first choked on it and they sang it the second time. And the second time Gillian choked on it and so they sang it a third time and it finally went well. WOW! Just because Gillian didn't do the twisting move they say her dancing isn't as active as Charlene? Seriously that's really gay! And plus, if they took it out of Gillian dancing step they should took it out of Charlene's too..so what did Gillian do when she didn't do the twisting part?

I liked their new outfit. Only the yellow one because it look really pretty but then Charlene clothes all reveal more skin that Gillian.

Hi!! I’m back from the Twins Concert in Genting. I went on the second night (19th) and i must admit that there are two huge “patches” of empty seats at the RM 50 ones (which are the cheapest, furthest and ‘sidest’) one patch on the right and one on the left. I don’t know about the fist night but i think that the empty seats on the 2nd night is not caused by traffic jams. If that was so, then there wouldn’t be big patches, since the seating positions are based on numberings. It is impossible that those caught in the traffic jams are all the ones sitting at the same area. Those seats which are empty are about 120-170. but apart from that, all the seats are full, including those expensive ones.

There were fans from Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and MALAYSIA(which Twins almost missed out). sad to say, i think i saw more ‘ah sa’ playcards at the HK fans area. But overall, they are rather equal because there are more ‘gillian’ playcards elsewhere.

Maybe some might disagree with me, but charlene is indeed a better dancer (it is not because of the outfit.) Gillian still dances a wee bit faster but she has improved a lot. If people claim that gillian is rigid, then they should hit the wall.

About their singing, charlene has to improve on her stamina. Besides, she couldn’t really hit the high, powerful notes at the ending of ‘Fung Zhan Yu Fung’. But honestly, somehow , Twins just could never get the song to be as great as the CD version. They improved a lot, though. No more singing out of tune or horribly live. Gillian sounded great and consistant troughout the concert. I like it when she sang ‘ Tiu Ga’. ~ GILLIAN ROCKS !!!!!!!

By the way, kenny’s hair is really short. Most of the time, (when they sang ‘Sei Sing Bat Goi’) he faced Gillian!! Kenny admitted that he secretly went to the casin0. He lost, though. Why didn’t they sing Conscience Discovery? So dissapointed.

Twins actually thanked everyone: the fans, sponsors, make-up artist, hairstylist, their management EEG, Genting and so on, but they didn’t mention Mani, not even charlene. Ha! Ha!

I think Charlene is a better dancer as well, based on the concert they had at the starting of the year. Gillian did dance a lot better during that performance earlier, the one when Charlene was hit by a glowstick; they were both dancing very well. I don't know about this concert's performance since I haven't seen it, and Gillian is injured at the waist, which could affect dancing.


I'm so glad to hear that Gillian made a great performance! Twins did sound better with 'Kite And Wind' during the time the song came out, but I agree that the performances did fall worse during recent times. Hopefully, they could improve more and get the song better.

Two male fans (bobby-chosen by charlene + justin-chosen by gillian) get to go onstage, sing and hold their hands. How lucky! The justin was a laughing stock when he asked gill whether there will be lyrics provided. He didn’t know the lyrics, sang out of tune, even sang loudly! He was ‘boo’ed by the crowd troughout the song. The one chosen by sa sang really well. And when he was asked whether he can sing in a male voice, he said that he can sing in either voices. Charlene then said something like “then, you are like kenny!” That boy answered, “who’s kenny?” –poor kenny-


and i don't think kenny's voice overlapped Twins'. The song sounded nice, just that steven was missing.

Seems like Gillian made a wrong pick. You'd think that he would at least know the lyrics for being at a Twins concert, or refuse the offer of going on stage if he didn't know them. I kind of feel sorry for him of being booed, but then it slightly sounds like he asked for the negative attention. Poor Kenny for not being recognized, but there'll always be time for him to get more well-known.

It's nice to hear that the song with Kenny and Twins went well. The news made it sound so horrible. I think it would've been better if Steven was there as well, but then he is preparing for the Sun Boy'Z album which is coming out this Wednesday, and even if he isn't, I highly doubt EEG would arrange for him to come along anyway since Kenny's a solo artiste now. When Gillian was in Malaysia, they secretly took pictures of her changing and although the pictures on the magazine are of her in her underwear, she's really worried that they have pictures of her completely naked and they'll post it on the internet (since it's probably illegal to actually publish it)....I haven't read the article and I'm not sure if I want to. GOD these reporters are absolutely DESPICABLE! they couldn't possibly even have a smidgen of a CONSCIENCE! isn't it enough that they follow stars around like frickin stalkers? apparently not since they've stooped to an all-time low by taking VERY VERY private and candid shots of gillian.

what has gillian ever done to anybody? when reporters follow her when all she wants is some peace and quiet, she never gets angry, instead she smiles into the camera to make their lives better and THIS is what she gets??!??!? the hits just keep on coming to gill. it's like she never gets a break. all gill ever tries to do is give all her best and yet people have been endlessly criticising her and her body and now to make things even worse by adding to her stress, they've printed these candid pics in a magazine???

yes gillian is VERY strong, but like everyone else, she too has feelings. if anyone else were put into her position, they would not only cry buckets and feel embarrassed but also ASHAMED. that is what really gets me angry and sad. gillian didn't do anything wrong. all she was doing was changing and now that photos have surfaced, she doesn't deserve the feeling of SHAME she probably has. the ones that SHOULD be ashamed shouldn't be her, it should be the jerks that took the photos and yet, the shame is reversed. the sweet person who doesn't deserve this is the one left feeling embarrassed, ashamed, and scared while the people who took the pics are left SATISFIED that they got an embarrassing pic.
