I just read the article that Little_Purple_Bell posted and watched the interview. I feel so awful for Gillian. I haven't seen her cry like that before.....it's heartbreaking. I've always known that the hk reporters are extreme and will do almost everything just to get their articles published. But secretly filming/taking photos of someone changing is very low and wrong. I really hope Mani will be able to sue him/them, because that's what they asked for and deserve after doing such a thing. I just hope she'll feel better soon as she realizes that there are many out there who support and care for her.

What f*cken idiotic swine! That just made me super angry. Secretly filming Gillian wasn't enough, they just had throw in such demeaning phrases like that! Yeah, Carina's case was much worse than Gillian's but since the actual tape hasn't been exposed, we're all not too sure what will be revealed in the future. About this being an 'insider' that was taping her, I think that chance is really high, and the only people that I can think of that can gain access to that room would be either EEG workers (workers that helped plan or even dancers) or the Malaysian concert arena workers. Because the person would be able to access the changing room without anybody really noticing and caring, and the person would be able to access it BEFORE the concert and AFTER the concert to be able to put and retrieve the camera. And seeing how this person knew that nobody would be suspicious of the closet having a camera there too. Because if it was a reporter that took it, I don't think they're even allowed backstage, and I don't think they'd know exactly where to catch Twins/Gillian changing.

Yup, I'm on here 24/7 now just waiting for some justice to prevail on Gillian's behalf and EEG has done nothing so far, just small chat here and there but not enough to stop this yet. I really hope what they printed are the worst they have. Gillian can't possibly live up to it if there's anything more revealing taken. She's already crying this hard with the published photos. I don't see why this magazine has to be so nasty with what they write. As extreme as it sounds, I agree with you on what should happen to that agency. They have no right to degrade Gillian like that. Those phrases are simply sickening.

This case is getting really big right now. The evening news in HK is reporting about it, but they didn't say Gillian's name, just HK female artiste; with it being reported on TV as a non-entertainment issue, it's meaning that the responses in HK are getting strong. The female rights associations are getting to work as well about the issue. They've pointed out that HK should have a law to protect against secretly filming because it equals to sexual assault; it's invading privacy, and the associations feel that an apology is needed from the agency to Gillian. They are also expressing that the police should follow on this case and prosecute those who relate to the making of this tabloid. Believe me, female rights associations do have power in HK. HK seriously needs to get around on this case, not just for Gillian's sake but for the sake of HK's society.


I just don't see why some people are using such a horrible event to attack Gillian with. Can't they just step into her shoes and think? How would they like it if their photos of them changing were printed on the cover of a tabloid and there are other out there photoshopping it to make it worse? There are two types of people who will have bought this issue of Easyfinder. One: Perverted. Two: Nosy. Unfortunately, there are many of these people in the world. I couldn't believe it when an owner of a newspaper stand was asked of how long it took for that issue of Easyfinder to be sold out, and the owner said, "About an hour.". It definitely isn't EEG. They are biased, but they won't go that far. Besides, the tabloid isn't owned by EEG. Listening to Mani's interview on the radio, you can tell that she sounded pretty frustrated over this. Oh yeah, when you guys send out complaints, don't send it to Apple Daily because Apple Daily is under the same agency as Easyfinder, so it won't be much help. As you can see, each and every newspaper reported on how sad and miserable Gillian is at the moment except for Apple Daily.

EEG probably is more updated than us because they are contacting attorneys and such. It's just that they can't reveal any details at the moment. Don't worry, they are working on it, though I hope it is quicker than it seems. The tabloid is speedy with its actions; the only way to stop them is to be even faster and cut them off before anything else happens. I really hope they'll be able to retreive the photos.

I feel that each celebrity does have a need to defend Gillian right now, whether they're friends or not. Any other female artiste could very well be the next victim. This issue has to be regarded with importance, and thank goodness, it is. No girl would want her body to be exposed to the public without permission; the human body is a very private thing, and that tabloid has just stolen that privacy from Gillian. I agree that Deep has made a very good point; I'm glad that he said something as well. His statement lets us see how bad this is. I really hope the female rights groups will gang up and force the government to start taking action. I truly and fully agree with you in every word you just stated; I couldn't have done better wording it all together on how horrible this incident has reflected off how Asian countries work. Why should I trust and rely on the government and their legal actions to protect me or anyone for that matter if the tabloids are moving way quicker than justice itself? I'd imagine for Edison to be in HK since his film has just debuted. It really wouldn't make sense for him not to be unless he had something really important to get to outside of HK. You're definitely right. The government really doesn't look reliable at the moment. A responsible government should be out to investigate and take actions regarding this issue at their own will. The female associations shouldn't have to put pressure to demand the police to take action. Even with the pressure exerted, the government doesn't exactly look too agitated. I've read one article writer, and she had some scoop on the photographer having the surname of Chan, and he is a close worker for the boss of 'Easyfinder'. Another article pointed out that there are laws to enforce this case, even though there isn't a law directly made for secretly filming. The article said that as long as the 「淫褻物品審裁處」 regards the published item as an inelegant publication; the publisher can be sent to jail for a year while paying 400,000HK$; if it's been judged as an obscene/profane publication, then the publisher can be sent to jail for three years while paying 1,000,000HK$. Yes, having the Four Heavenly Kings say something would be good. I'd imagine that Andy would say something because he knows Gillian personally. His words would be meaning something. Anthony Wong would be appreciated as well; he sounds like he really admires Gillian from the younger generation of artistes. He should be saying something of this. Having the mega and respected artistes say something would definitely add to the support. Hopefully, more people will be willing to voice out their opinions and defenses for Gillian.

That's great to hear that you've written to Oprah! Oprah definitely is one powerful woman who is widely known. If she gets ahold of this issue and discusses it on her show, then the issue will be agitated throughout. Perhaps then the government will finally put a move on it because of the citizen commotions. Yeah, it's highly possible because only workers can go in and out without being suspected. As bad as it is, people sometimes do cross over the line and forget how others would feel when they're in need of money. Either the person had the idea of filming and then sell to the magazine, or the magazine paid the person to do it. The bad part about it is that this person out there has done a bad deed, yet Gillian's suffering because of it.

I don't know, I feel so helpless over here overseas, I can't directly help Gillian; if I resided in Hong Kong, I would have rioted out on the streets of the court house, EEG's company, and EasyFinder's doorsteps already, wonder why fans and people in general aren't doing that. I agree. The only people that I appreciate sticking out for Gillian sincerely so far is Sa, Alex, and Deep. It was extremely true when Sa stated that they're not out there to sell their skin; I appreciate Alex for urging legal rights to further protect and defend Gillian, and I admire Deep for being bold enough to say that this incident is a rape case, which is so true. As for Kenny, Sun Boy'z, Joey, Miriam, Vincy, and even Karen, I somehow feel like their concerns aren't as deep nor bold as they should be. We all already know that this scandal is inappropriate for anyone to endure; I was expecting bolder reactions like, stars need to unite together and fight for everyone's sake with Gillian being one of the main victims but Kenny and the rest sort of just trailed off into their own stories and told people to be careful, yeah, that's alright and everything but the main issue still revolves around Gillian. Anyway, I'm complaining way too much, it's nice to see other stars supporting Gillian but I was expecting bolder and more on target answers in support of Gillian because this is not a simple case that will fade away with time. Hopefully, Edison, Daniel, Stephen, Nic, and other stars will not disappoint me with their responses as they did grow up overseas; therefore, they're much more blunt and daring with their emotions, opinions, and support/comments.

Hopefully, this person will go to jail and experience unimaginable hardships in prison for attempting to destroy such an innocent victim like Gillian. The law is definitely corrupted; Easyfinder must have paid large sums of profits to the government in order to move so freely like this even at this moment and no one can or has seriously done anything about it. Gillian's pictures are considered obscene, profane, or inelegant if you were to ask me. The most important thing is, this clearly threatened and violated Gillian's human rights, the government must understand that if anything, charges must be pressed. It's not that difficult to find this person and punish him if the government really wanted to; come on now, there must be intelligent police individuals out there too or else crimes wouldn't be solved on a daily basis. It's not hard, since everyone works for money, money is all the government needs to crack the case, it's not hard, trust me; the government should start by closing down this magazine brothel to at least show us their deepest concerns.

The Four Heavenly Kings are powerful in Hong Kong, their statements will be taken seriously. This incident will prove to Gillian who are her true friends and fans. Those true friends and fans will support and stick to Gillian all the way, through illness and health, through rough times and good days, through darkness and rain, this incident will really filter out those unsincere. If Andy still wishes to collaborate with Gillian after this, it means that Andy really appreciates Gillian for Gillian not for business purposes. Whichever fans stick with Gillian through this and understands that Gillian will forever remain the same and pure in their eyes regardless of what trash has been published, those will be fans that will support and remember Gillian forever no matter what. Those rumored boyfriends as well; let's see who will defend Gillian all the way since this is an extremely sensitive issue. This is the ultimate test all persons around Gillian must go through and we'll see in the end, who really cares about Gillian for who she is and not for what she is in the ET industry. This is a difficult tribulation Gillian must pass alongside all those persons who truly care about her and I hope, everyone will be next to Gillian, embracing her with nothing but warm welcomes and unchanged feelings and love. I know that it's not Gillian's fault but who knows, some people's opinions and initial feelings about Gillian may change but surely, not mine.

I've written to Oprah in hopes of her stretching another hand. Perhaps you guys can contribute as well, making this a powerful call to Oprah. Oprah receives so many letters and emails within one day, I'm not sure if this will help but I can always hope and try my best to help out Gillian right? It doesn't hurt. Plus, I was so frustrated, I needed someone I can vent to so I chose Oprah because her shows are nothing but powerful stories based on Women's struggles and obstacles so Gillian's story fits in perfectly to her themes. I just saw the HK News this morning and it mention Gillian. It showed her a picture where she was crying and there was Mani in her office sitting responding to this. They also interview Eric Tse about this. This is what I remember him saying. "It's very wrong and it's over the limit? If its the reporter doing it than he should get fired, and if it's the whole company (group) then the magazine should get shut down". That's what I remember. Hope to see more good updates

I somewhat agree. Those are the three people who have come right out to state their bold responses in defense of Gillian, and it is so appreciated. I don't like the part of how the rest of them start going off into their own experiences though; I would rather hear them say more words of comfort to Gillian. It's just that one thing we can't forget is artistes are afraid of the media. Sometimes they aren't bold enough to say what they really want to say. Vincy said that she sent Gillian a SMS while Yumiko called her, so perhaps they did more comforting to Gillian in private than what they said to the media. I wasn't too amused on how Steven was still trying to joke during a situation like this. Anyway, Yumiko did state that she's worried about Gillian's photos being posted online and that the whole EEG is being stressed over this right now. Even though they didn't make much of a strong response, hopefully if any actions take place, they'll step out to support it as Alex had encouraged. It's the same for me; I want to hear bolder comments and responses to this. Even though consoling in private is good as well, but speaking out to the media is a much stronger impact. It'll let the public know that more artistes are supporting Gillian through her hardship. Hopefully, we'll hear stronger responses today.


The law IS corrupted. I just got the news that the complaints have to reach ten thousand before the government will start doing something. We're still at eight hundred some. I think depending on the government is quite hopeless right now, so Gillian can only rely on Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild and the female social groups to bring justice. The government is just scared of the media. It's not like they're blind and can't see how strong people are responding to this. I agree of how it wouldn't be hard for them to step out, speak out, and finally prosecute these people. With Gillian's case, I don't believe that there isn't a single law established that can bring prosecution to these thieves; they have stolen Gillian's privacy and happiness away. So far, there's only been one individual from the government who is bold enough to come out and defend Gillian. I heard that that officier is very much of a dainty gentleman, but this time he strongly spat out the word, 'Despicable!'. Argh, this agency needs to be punished once and for all!

Yes, Gillian admires Andy as her idol so much, so I hope he doesn't give her the cold shoulder. If he gives a shout out to the media in defense of Gillian, it would mean a lot. One, his words are powerful; two, there's another friend who's willing to speak out for Gillian. Her rumoured boyfriends as well, here we'll see who really cares. He expressed that the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild is very much aware of Gillian's incident; they're going to have a discussion about it today to figure out what actions they could take to defend this case. He's going to notify more about it to the public tomorrow.

i agree completely with you asillysaint. i'm waiting for all celebs to speak out and not only tell people that they have to be careful but come out and support gillian through her hard time. gill needs all the support she can get and i think celebrities of all kinds should come out and help her by speaking out against the magazine company and help shut it down for good.

i'm also very happy that alex fong put himself in the line of tabloid fire to defend gillian and console her. this is what true support is: speaking out even though alex knows that he'll probably be put out into the media once again as gill's 'underground lover'. he'd rather speak out for his friend than to save himself from love rumors that probably will re-surface once again.

It would have to be an insider who did the filming since only they would have access to their changing rooms, it might have been someone from EEG but I don't think it was EEG who set the whole thing up. Some reporter probably offered money to someone who had access to the changing room.

This is so sad though. I feel bad for Gillian and I am definately boycotting Easyfinder!

this news ruined my week , I can't believe those reporters went way overboard, they are disgusiting, obnoxious, despicable, sleazy, and etc., the list of bad words to describe them continue on, I hope Gillian will find the courage to forget about this incident, don't let it ruin her career, be careful and be alerted every time she does something, I hope all the people who started this whole incident (the person/people who took the pics/recorded) and the bosses of Easy Finder Mag (distribute the pics) WILL PAY for this, KARMA is going to get them all.
