Finally back from China...Anyways, I'm so glad Gillian is slowly healing and seeing her smiling is relieving! All the support, it's really nice to read what some of the artists say and in support of Gillian. And that single picture where Gillian's first smile was presented was so priceless and taken at an angel so..I don't know..but I thought that picture was really beautiful. The colors were so peaceful too

Well, I was reading something on TC that had given a "brighter" view of this situation. Like some members thought that this incident brought a lot of pain to Gillian but also because of this Gillian had gotten a lot of recognition and support from all different kinds of people. I never thought of this because I was so upset with this incident but in a way this made me feel just a little tiny bit better with the more positive side even though I know Gillian definitely doesn't deserve this kind of treatment nor need this kind of exposure to ensure her popularity or increase of fame. What do you guys think?


The court should have passed this restraining order because 'EasyFinder' have no rights to be using Gillian's photos or printing them out to the public. They shouldn't even have it in the first place, those heartless sickos(lol).

Even though the court passed this order and told them to delete and return those photos, I wonder if they would have secret kept some where they would use it in the near future against Gillian. I mean how would Gillian or anybody other than 'EasyFinder' know if all the photos are deleted and returned to Gillian. It just sucks. I hope the Taiwanese media will go easy on Gillian also. It'll be really insensative of them to bring up the incident to Gillian when she already made a statement and in a process of healing and possibly let it go and move on. For some reason, I think the Taiwanese media isn't as horrid as the HK media or maybe I just haven't been paying as much attention on the Taiwanese media as I am on Hk related news.

Even though, Gillian doesn't need this type of attention, since the incident already unavoidably happened, we just have to help Gillian pick up the broken pieces and build an entirely new piece of art. I believe this situation has shown the world, the Hong Kong society, and EEG themselves, how adored and loved Gillian truly is, if anyone ever doubted that Gillian's popularity or fans decreased due to her dull nature or whatnot. This definitely is not the best situation to be recognized for and I believe that because it was Gillian Chung who was the victim in this case, someone who has always presented a pure and conservative image and to be stolen of her privacy in such a horrific way, of course, that will cause an uproar from fans and families all around. Gillian's selling point ever since the formation of Twins had always been pure and to be violated in such a way by dirty ill-minded reporters, the entire world can see that Gillian didn't deserve this at all, if anything. Anyway, hopefully, EEG will accept those offers other companies have been pouring out on Gillian's behalf for advertisements and stuff because this will be a great opportunity to show everyone that Gillian has become a lot stronger than before and is willing to pick up where she left off from. But because Gillian is receiving so much support, attention, and compassion for this incident, jealously does arise. I've heard a few outsiders complain that Gillian is over-reacting with her tears and my question is, how so? Gillian has only publically cried twice, the interview right after the incident and the celebrity function thing, only twice and that's considered too much? Plus, ideas about how EEG plotted out this scandal with Gillian in hopes of promoting Gillian is just insane and complete lies. Gosh, people and their imaginations. Anyway, overall, it's not because the photos taken exposed so little of Gillian's figure that didn't damage her reputation, career, and image BUT because Gillian is truly an amazing, conservative, and sweet girl, everyone have come to love and support no matter what.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of too. Technology is a scary thing to have. Jimmy Lai better look out for his daughter, even though, I know that it's not right to associate his daughter with his dirty work because they're two separate individuals, but seriously, Jimmy Lai has attacked several people including Gillian, his daughter may be the target of things and let's just say, there are some really dedicated fans out there. I only came up with this because I'm so mad at what they write about Gillian in the EC thread! Sometimes I wished that Gillian just came out solo without Charlene. And Charlene could of went into the acting area when she first came out!

I wasnt a twins fan at first but after watching their movies (which are usually funny), I started liking them. Their movies and acting make me crack up. Yes, her company started out promoting her looks over her talents, but I think she's improved a lot since then. I guess there is a pattern, and yeah sometimes I do feel a little annoyed, but artists are bound to work with one another. As for Gillian going solo, personally I don't know if either one of them could have made it this far without the other. Sometimes I wonder how they could have gotten this famous in the first place. When Twins was first formed, they really didn't know how to sing, it was horrible if you ask me. So it was basically the concept of a young female group that brought along so many teenage fans.

Though after five years, I'm positive that Gillian has what it takes to continue her career as a solo artist. Her singing may not be the best, but she is definitely up to standards. Not to mention, she would succeed as an actress, if given the oppurtunity, which all Gillian fans know for a fact.

About the incident, I really hope that the government and the public wouldn't just let it slip because things have quieted down and EasyFinder have returned the photos, cause something more has to be done.

It doesn't matter what Edison-Charlene fans write, the way the choose to believe, or just their overall opinions on things, there are some facts they just cannot change and as long as we all know that Edison-Gillian were once an honest pair, that is all that matters. I do see that pattern as well. But I have come to realized that EEG will never promote Gillian as much nor allow Gillian to outshine Sa in films anyway so I'm not going to get all upset again. I mean, did you notice that the list you have above is all films that Sa paired up with Gillian's initial partners? So I'm not going to even bother.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the Sa fans, even though they say they like both Twins but just favor Sa more, also prefer Sa going solo as well. I'm just waiting for that to happen as well.

Daniel seems to be the main vocals and the rest play instruments. They've performed in several places and regions already, quite accepted too.

Yeah, Gillian is always jumping into different boats first to test out its stability before Sa is sent to follow and then later receives the credit for it. Anyway, I agree of how Gillian fans and Charlene fans don't have to be fighting and accusing each other over Edison. Why are the two groups always fighting over a guy? Before it was Kenny, now that it died down, now it's Edison. Is it necessary? On a side note, can we see how initiated the disagreements about the pairings? Well okay, that's not the point there, but each person should just support whichever pairing they like; having others support another pairing really isn't a threat. Hm, or is it?

It's just this one that I managed to finish in one day. Usually, I take long to finish MVs as well. I guess this one didn't take much time because it doesn't really have a storyline of my own to it, rather it's just following the lyrics of the song. MVs with storylines take much longer since you have to think of a storyline, and most likely having to make alterations to it when you can't find clips that would show what you want to say. I can see why your MVs take longer though; you actually think of a good and precise plan of your own for the storyline. Anyway, I wonder if Edison and Gillian are really going to end off with a few secret glances here and there?

Yeah, I suddenly want summer all over again. *sigh* But I guess the only way that's possible is to wait for next year. actually asillysaint, daniel isn't the main vocals and none of the members (to my knowledge) know how to play any instruments at all. in fact, daniel has the worst voice (although he's the hardest working) and terrence is the only one who can sing (he released a solo album years before). i know all this because i watched their funny mockumentary 'Four Heavenly Kings'...Terence has shown his support of gillian so try to support Alive by buying their movie! it's actually quite funny

uhm. I am not meaning to start an arguement here...I am just going to give you all a different perspective And this perspective does not come from my biasness as a Sa fan, but as an onlooker who can see both sides of the fence. I like to take issues and rotate it in about every direction I can, and often, this makes me indecisive and perhaps a bad debater because I am too wishy-washy.

But....really, I can't see how you guys came up with Gill being a test for Charlene.

I thought the logic used was sort of flawed, because if you switch things around, using different issues/couples, the same thing applies to Charlene bein a tester for Gillian.

For instance, couples. Lets not forget Charlene was first coupled with Ekin in My Wife is 18. But when TTE came, it was Gill who was paired with him.

And was Gill romantically involved with Stephen in 49 Days? because if so, Charlene "claimed" the pairing first in HoF.

Not that ANY of this matters anyway! Because it's silly to use couple for MOVIES or MV's as a basis for EEG favoring Charlene, or whatever. Two out of three of the couples you mentioned just happened to be in the same company as Twins, and all three just happened to be around that same age. So it makes sense that both Twins would pair with them at some point in their careers.

A bit of a stretch, I think. I understand that you all are here to support Gil and so am I. But I just can't see how you guys honestly believe that EEG uses Gil has a tester based soley on silly little pairings.




That aside, I have to say I am really proud of Gillian! Her dancing, despite the situation she is facing currently, improved heaps at the Solar Project performance! At leats it seems that way from the little clip I saw. She seemed to dance with a lot more confidence then usual, even though she was in a mini skirt (something unusual to see Gill in) So I say, Bravo Gillian! Yeah. It all makes sense, her name is Vincy and Edison obviously refers her by just the first letter of her name, V. I have no idea where my friend got this picture from but all she said was she read it off from a forum. The article stated that Edison has been caught hanging around with her several occasions now and she is only 18 and is working hard towards her studies; she's also one of EEG's daughters, from a high class and wealthy family. Oh well, that's Edison's business. Sadly, it's not Gillian but she's only 18, I doubt the relationship is anything serious. Oh, the president of EEG is Vincy's uncle, quite high up there eh?

Yup, Edison-Gillian may be my favorite pair but I'm not that crazy for them. I solely support Gillian first and foremost before anyone or any pair so I usually hang out here more often. I have no idea where my friend got this picture from but all she said was she read it off from a forum. The article stated that Edison has been caught hanging around with her several occasions now and she is only 18 and is working hard towards her studies; she's also one of EEG's daughters, from a high class and wealthy family. Same here. I too support Gillian and care for the well-being of Gillian much more than any pairing. Unless the deal with Edison, Gillian, and Charlene is real news, then these reasonings just don't exactly get anywhere; well, Edison and Gillian were once an item as we see it, but not at the moment. As long as Edison is still with Vincy, then they're serious for the moment, don't know about the future though. Each support group should just support whichever pairing they like; neither is going to be persuaded by the other. The highlight of those threads is the talented work; that's what I'll visit for. The comments made about the EC thread in the EG thread have already been deleted and cleaned out, so thereafter we can just mind our own business and just let others express their opinions.

I have no idea if Vincy's a popular name in HK. It doesn't seem like it, but I'm not sure. It does feel a tad bit foolish that Twins fans are breaking up at this time due to Edison when any direct collaboration/interaction between Twins and Edison has been at least two years ago. Feeling threatened is probably the main reason of why there are endless fights between fans. I agree, just supporting the pair you like is good enough; making stuff up to deny the other pair is unnecessary. Then again, that is what happens most. It just won't stop.

I'm really wondering why Twins songs have gotten to be all fast, jumpy, summerish? It's been that way for the Mandarin album; it seems like that's what's happening for this upcoming album as well. With the released three songs, even 'Cherry Red Guitar' isn't a complete slow song though it is slower than the others. I understand of how artistes have to make changes to their styles now and then, but they've gotta be careful with what they do. They can't always rely on just fans to support their music; they're going to need to grab some people who aren't fans and turn them into fans. Hopefully, there will be a ballad by Gillian in the album. Or at least some songs that are of better quality than what we're getting right now. Both members of Twins are improving on their singing right now, but they're going to need a catchy song to do the magic as well. Good singing with bad songs nearly equals to bad singing with bad songs; neither of these are gaining support. Sometimes, people would rather support bad singing with good songs, just for the sake of the good songs by listening to the CD version. Yep, September 23rd's the day of the release of their Cantonese album, for now anyway; hopefully, we'll get a track list soon. Yesasia will probably have it up a week or two beforehand. I wonder if Twins are going to start doing the three covers thing since Kenny, Sun Boy'Z and Isabella all did it for their albums? I really hope not. That's another demotion on Twins' part because artistes are generally so criticized on cheating money from their fans when they offer more than one cover because some fans would really buy all three; it's even cheaper than having a version 2.

Yeah, Gillian does fit well with most people. The main reason on why most people cancelled out Gillian with Steven is because of the age difference, but who's making you see them as being romantic? Gillian and Steven are really cute and comfortable with each other; their chemistry does shine on and off screen. I love seeing them mess around with each other. Steven usually just uses his humour to throw Gillian off during a supposedly serious moment, then when Gillian sees that she's been screwed up by Steven already , she just puts her guard down to mess with him. So true. The Gillian thread has continued to grow quite well even though school is in session versus other threads. I'm just glad the Gillian thread is still doing fine without the heavy posts of photos. Hm, I'm not sure either but perhaps a lot of the initial Edison-Gillian Fans have grown up and moved out of this stage, there aren't too many online anymore as there used to but at the moment, Edison-Gillian fans are still dominating the polls and such but as for posting, nah, a lot of us choose to pass that option; I guess, we're really not that into the whole idea anymore.

Twins new songs are in the middle of a jumpy fast song and a slow ballad, making the songs a bit weird like both Twins' Mandarin solos. I too support Twins' transition in genres but perhaps Twins doesn't really sound their best in this genre and now isn't the time to experiment but it's really time to prove to the world that they can sing or else more albums will only bring more criticisms. Perhaps it's just me but when I heard the songs, I didn't feel the fascinating urge to re-listen to the song nor repeat it, I just simply said, hopefully Twins will release better songs later. Ballads such as I Really Want To Love Him and You're the Bravest were really neat songs but even they didn't receive much recognition and lately, Twins haven't been singing solo verses that long so that was something quite refreshing and different. I agree, Twins began off as horrible singers, due to their extremely catchy songs, they have survived the test of time even though their improvements haven't been up to par but they're still continuing to climb up or should I say, maintain their Pop Idol spots but it's really time to take off that Pop Idol label and exchange it for a real label. People who naturally make Gillian smile and laugh are rare. I've only seen a few. Mainly, it is due to the age gap that makes Gillian-Steven incompatible. Actually, for this 'jade image' topic, I find that the fans in China/Asian areas, they are the fans that do want Gillian to keep this image, but not just Gillian, Charlene too (but I guess not as much because she has already given away her kiss and other stuff). Because at Twinsfans.net, when the trailer of 'Flying Fox Of The Snowy Mountain' came out, the second one, after people saw the 'sex' scene, they were saying stuff about the main guy (=D I forgot his name) and that he should die (well not exactly literally I think), blah, blah, blah, for doing such a scene, and that Gillian shouldn't do these types of scenes. So, what Mani said about that is true, but I think that the fans should stop and think about this for a while. It's acting, so it's not like it's going to ruin Gillian's image. Because Charlene has done many kiss scenes herself, yet her image hasn't been ruined, she's still known as the cute, pretty, bubbly Charlene that she's always been known to be.

I think if Gillian were to have given out her first kiss early in her career then the acceptance for her to do this kind of scene would be higher (I mean, why would more fans accept Charlene kissing in a scene than Gillian when their image is practically the same? Because Charlene already given out hers and with each movie, it gets more comfort for them. They didn't even have the second to object to it because she gave out her on-screen kiss pretty early.) but since people have gotten so used to Gillian as a pure and innocent girl, it gets harder and harder for the fans to excuse this image. It's kind of like a shock to them that Gillian would be doing more than just act out her character especially in the new serial since the "sex" scene was so unexpected and sudden.

It's as much fault towards Mani and EEG as it is on the fans but in a way if EEG or Mani have given Gillian the same flexible "restrictions" as Charlene then it wouldn't be as hard to let the fans now accept the more intimate level Gillian would be protraying in her movies...They see her as too precious to be tainted yet this kind of view just gives Mani/EEG the more reason to hold off on Gillian's movie career.

Yes, the thing I love about this thread is that discussion actually occurs. Thoughts are expressed and shared while replies come as a response. Beautiful manips are shared by our creative members. Not as much posting of old photos is good as well; sometimes it's a little hassle to wait for all the photos to load. The new photos I'll bear with, but sometimes it's a little annoying to wait for photos that you've already seen to load. I love seeing how active this thread is. Hopefully, as long as Gillian is still active, this thread will be as well.

The thing about how some members don't post anymore is true. As they get older, most members just tend to keep up visiting but give up posting; they just come to see how the forum is going, yet they don't participate in discussion anymore. They may still do the polls since it's a just a click away. I see how others just pass the option of posting in those threads though, sometimes I choose to do that as well. Discussing about a specific pairing always leads to a supporter of another pairing to come along and make a post of disagreement, and then a fight happens.

Exactly. Switching off to different genres is a good thing, but whoever's making these decisions have got to do some research on what actually suits them. Most of the time, artistes just can't have it both ways; when they're widely accepted by the audience/public, they'll be criticized about not trying hard enough or the genre of their songs are too simple by the critiques. Then when critiques are written to say something good, most likely it isn't something that the public would like. It's like the whole thing of singing 'K Songs'. The songs released so far really aren't catchy. Albums usually do have a few songs on it that aren't exactly awesome, so hopefully those are it. It would be great if Twins, or perhaps Gillian herself, could release an album later on of which each and every song is capable of being a hit plug song; for example, Kelly Chen's recent album, 'Happy Girl', was awesome in my opinion. Each track on the album had a catchy melody and theme to it; the song, 'Blushing', I used in my recent MV is from that album. Hm, I wonder when Gillian will have the chance to release a quality album? Twins really shouldn't focus on these jumpy genres because rarely will they be that memorable. Most, if not all, classics are ballads. Well, I don't think EEG will be that bold to make an album full of jumpy songs; they have got to include at least one or two ballads.Come on, even Jill, who said she is aiming at fast songs, included a ballad in her album; may I say that the ballad is what basically saved her career? Funny Jealousy is the song that has grabbed 1st places for Jill on the charts and gave her recognition amd saved her airplays. I can almost say EEG is making a mistake if they are making an album of jumpy songs for Twins. I mean, can't Twins try singing fast songs that have a mature theme and tune? I'd want to hear how that would turn out. It's something different, and why are they limiting Twins to be cute all the time? Their fast songs usually always have to deal with the summertime. From that Jessica interview of Gillian's, it really sounds like she wants to rip that 'Pop Idol' name off of herself; hopefully she'll succeed. Gillian has the power and talent to grab herself a good label; it just sums down to whether she'll get the chance. I hope Yesasia gets the tracklist soon; I hope I'll get excited instead of disappointed. Yep, EEG's money making tactics are scaring me; I was at Yesasia again today, and I saw Kenny's album is having a second version with two more new covers. How exciting is that for his fans? Vincy's second version of her album is more reasonable; it's just having a bonus live CD added to the original tracks.


I agree of how the fault is still geared towards the arrangements of Mani and EEG. As how the situation is for Charlene, the only way out for Gillian is EEG letting her give out a kiss before anyone finds out about it, therefore no objections can be made. Then as it has happened already, fans will eventually learn to accept it. It's like how the 'sex' scene was; when it came out, sure these people were out cursing the male lead and how Gillian should only be allowed to be intimate with Charlene (*rolls eyes* Such contradicting rules by these fans. Gillian has helped me learn a great lesson!

This is my first time writing a column for 'Headline Daily'. The first thing I wish to share with reader are the joys and sorrows of being a manager. My joy is seeing Isabella being able to represent Hong Kong internationally. My sorrow, I'm sure you all know, is Gillian being secretly filmed while changing.

Speaking of a manager's sorrows, I need to talk about a real story. I remember when I was young, I thought that a celebrity should only be seen at a distance but never up close. About ten years ago, I saw Leslie Cheung at Tsim Sha Tsui. Being so happy at the time, I don't know how to describe it with ink. I remember thinking, "Wow, why is Leslie Cheung walking around on the street like that?" This explains of how the public usually see celebrities as being far away. How come there are big stars then, but not now? I feel it's because of the media. The media from the 80s and 90s rarely invade the privacy of the artistes. That is why there are fantasies made towards celebrities. It's a pity that the media nowadays frequently go to secretly film them, making everyone have a discount towards the feelings of artistes. I think a manager really has to do a lot nowadays. In a short period of time, I need to build up a well-known singer from someone who no one knows. There is just too much preparation work; the time and work spent on it is unbelievable.

It's been twelve years since I've become a manager. In my mind, a manager is a character who has to do a thankless job. Having to train an artiste's performing skills, then teaching them about how to interact with others; having to be strict, yet having to keep a good relationship with them. You have to be like a teacher yet a friend! Having to block things for artistes, having to handle the media, having to promise that the artistes won't have negative reports published about them, yet having to keep a good relationship with the media. That is why I usually seem so mean when I'm with reporters, ordering for them not to hurt my artistes. On the other hand, I have to try to get higher salaries for my artistes, get them chances, have good relations with people, need to have a high EQ, but need to get mad at the right time. In conclusion, I need to know how to control my moods, be on standby 24 hours. The pressure is huge. I feel depressed sometimes as well, but I need to stay strong to protect my home, my 'sons and daughters'. The real me really isn't that strong.

It's like this incident with Gillian. I got the news about it before the tabloid was published, so I immediately asked those colleagues who were responsible for the trip to Malaysia about why and how did it happen? My first reaction was being very worried about Gillian; with Gillian's conservative personality, if she really was filmed completely nude, I'm afraid she'll have a major breakdown. I then made a call to Gillian, asking her about her trip to Malaysia. At that time, Gillian had still been consling me and herself saying, "Mani, perhaps they just filmed me putting make up on." When the tabloid was published, Gillian immediately broke down. I called her again, but she could only answer with her cries; she couldn't speak at all. With this incident, I had a day where I made over fifty calls over phone to make responses. Because the incident involves HK as a whole, each word had to be careful. Even I wanted to have a breakdown.

August 27th, Twins came back to Hong Kong for a rehearsal. That was the first time Gillian came out in public after the incident. They were immediately surrounded by reporters when they appeared. I remember that the weather was extremely hot that day. The interview was taken place right beneath the sun. I felt so dizzy, like I was having a heat stroke. After it was over, I still had to go home to study; I wanted to faint.

A few days later, Gillian attended TVB's program, 'Privacy, Dignity, Hong Kong's business'. There were hundreds of artistes there for the denouncing congress, I then told Gillian, "Daughter, look how many people are here supporting you. Don't be feeling unhappy anymore." When Gillian came up to speak about her incident up on stage and she started crying, I felt like crying when listening to her. Gillian has once said that she feels like she can't face the little children, and that is why I arranged for her to go to the function with all the children. I really hoped to see her smile with the influence of the cute little children. That day, when Gillian started playing with the children, I finally saw her reveal a smile.

Schools don't provide a course for managers. To be a successful manager, you have to depend on intelligence, experience to teach to others. Then it also sums down to what you were born with and your wit. Gillian's incident has made me learn a great lesson.

I agree. Judging how most of the members from TF.net replied on the thread regarding the restrictions Mani/EEG have made...they are obviously supporting the whole 'jade girl image' the company has set for Gillian. I don't understand those people. I mean if you are really supporting one person I don't think you would want him/her to be stuck playing in the same type of movies and missing out the chances of getting challenging roles....just because you yourself don't want to see her acting intimate with others.
And since Gillian herself has said she doesn't mind those intimate scenes and even wants to try to act in a tragic love story, shouldn't they as fans support her...since that is what she wants to do?

I know this might be off-topic but I have noticed that fans of Asian groups such as Twins, S.H.E etc. usually are more protective of their idols...eg. S.H.E Ella is like Charlene, she has already given her first on-screen kiss long time ago so fans don't really mind when she's acting those scenes. As for Hebe and Selina even though they too have given their kisses away, fans tend to be more protective of them, because compared to the amount of times Ella has kissed her co-actors theirs are like nothing. Some fans were even so extreme that they 'scolded' a guy when they saw a pic of him putting his arm on Hebe's shoulder.
Whereas fans of other celebrities eg. Fiona, Ariel and Rainie (whose image is also cute and innocent) doesn't mind them doing kissing scenes.

Well said. I agree. If EEG had encouraged Gillian's acting career more than this, a good portion of fans wouldn't be so strict with Gillian's onscreen kisses. Twins do practically share the same image; not only that, Isabella for instance, has only entered the acting industry not too long ago but is already projecting such a strong and bold image out there by declaring her desire to film nude if the script sought necessary and is currently twisting her image 360 degrees by portraying a lesbian pair with Rainie. And just from Mani's supportive comments about Isabella's professionalism as an actress, anyone can see that there is an obvious barrier and bias between Gillian and her acting career, not just the fans who believe that their protective shield around Gillian is doing her good but in reality, it's quite harmful as Gillian is transforming into a serious actress who needs to grab more convincing roles that would eventually involve intimate scenes.

As much as I am upset about those young fans being over-protective of Gillian, EEG is much at fault. Initially, EEG were the ones that created this jade image, not the fans. The fans are just supporting what they know and see.

I mean, at least in Around the World With 80 Dollars, EEG still had to invest because it was a Mandarin album, which symbolizes more sales therefore a must on investments but EEG is beginning to neglect Twins' Cantonese albums lately. There weren't too many impressive songs in Twins' recent Cantonese albums, honestly. I believe, in Hong Kong, EEG is really relying on Twins' well established name to sell since Hong Kong fans will purchase anything regardless of quality since they were the first fanbase and there is obviously less competition in Hong Kong versus the Mandarin market so EEG believes they can still get away with low budget albums. Seriously, EEG has become quite cheap with Twins' products, it's not even funny anymore and Twins are EEG's most prized artists too.

I'm pretty certain as well that Twins will always include a few ballads in everyone of their albums; that's just their genre as much as they want to grow out of it lol. Sadly, I enjoy listening to Twins old songs more than their current ones. That's a reverse cycle; shouldn't I be enthusiastic about their new songs? I mean, singers are supposed to introduce something new, fresh, and interesting with each new album, which urges fans to keep supporting them, not repel them off. I love Gillian therefore Twins but I'm not going to sugarcode things; music is music and if Twins lack the songs especially when the public truly believes that they still lack the talent throughout all these years and so called improvements, I can honestly say, I'm not so sure if Twins would still stand strong. I know that Twins songs will somehow make the charts once they're released but is that really because fans enjoy the songs or is it because fans have made it a habit, an obligation to Twins to support their songs no matter what? I find that sad.

I can only wish that Gillian will successfully break away soon. I completely have faith in her singing talents ever since the beginning and her improvements have only confirmed my initial beliefs, go Gillian! Gillian can receive a jumpstart by releasing a solo ballad in this upcoming album; please, I pray. Yeah, EEG is scaring me too. So many different covers and versions to purchase! Anyway, EEG is sort of shooting themselves in the foot by doing that. The Hong Kong industry isn't in the right position to rip fans off like that. I mean, really, the Hong Kong music and acting industries are suffering quite badly currently, EEG shouldn't be doing that.

True. Fans are quite contradictive. If Gillian was to perform an intimate scene, she has do it with someone fans support, before, it was Edison but ever since his bad boy image came out, Edison is no longer an option but perhaps with someone like Vic Chou or Lee Hom Wang? No one will dare object to that haha! Gillian does need to do these intimate scenes without announcing them to fans first; I bet fans would be surprised but not that appalled.

That is true. I also see that as well but Gillian is someone who has never kissed onscreen before. Have you noticed that the ones that fans aren't as protective over are the ones being promoted the most in the acting industry; therefore, there are no barriers for them and their acting abilities have a chance to develop and advance versus the ones that are stuck with the pure image like Gillian? That's so sad. That pure image is limiting Gillian's acting potential.

So I guess I'm not the only one who isn't completely satisfied with their new songs? I was expecting something different and good. The two new songs I listened to were disappointing. Gillian is looking more gorgeous now-a-days. After her incident she's maturing into the woman we all knew she would--very sophiscated, full of potential, and everything else that makes people idolized her.
It's what I've known all along.
She didn't let anything stop her from doing what she loved best. It's just in her and who she is.
I'm more amazed at her and her abilities to handle every situations and obstacles that she's face in life. It just makes me admire more than ever now.
I hope now people can stop criticizing her at how they in their own little mind think she's no good and whatnot.
Instead look at how much she's grown and how well she handles all the critiques and obstacles she's been faced with. She's gotten really strong and more brave than all them asian celebrities that I know.
I bet that most celebrities would give in and quit already if they'd been through the hardship Gillian's been through. Their Mandarin is so-so, it's sort of hard to tell when they're singing; live singing is a better measurement of their Mandarin, which I haven't been interested in watching. Alive is quite a different taste to Hong Kong but um, I don't really enjoy their voices much, acting is a better option for all of them except Conroy, lol. You know what, I can't tell their voices apart either, seems like all of them just jam in together during the fast song but as for the slow songs, I believe one is sung solely by Andrew or was it Terence? I don't remember.

I guess EEG isn't planning too much for Twins anymore since Twins have already established themselves a good reputation and fanbase in Hong Kong. EEG is concentrating moreso on promoting new artists that will be entering the market soon. There have been many artists EEG threw to the curb despite their profits as well so I'm not that surprised about Twins current situation.

I don't even they realize that by them supporting the jade girl image, they're helping to restrict Gillian from her acting opportunities. They somehow see that there's 'nothing wrong with it'. At least that's what I'm seeing from their comments. Either that, or they're just trying to avoid admitting that it's true. It's quite contradictory of them if you think about it. They can accept Charlene and Gillian doing a Brokeback Mountain genre film, but they can't accept Gillian doing pecks and kisses on-screen. Yeah right. It's quite funny of how these fans are supporting something that Gillian doesn't support, as in the Brokeback Mountain idea, yet they're not supporting what Gillian supports, as in being able to broaden her acting career.

I still remember that time when a topic was finally begun of questioning why Gillian cannot kiss at CCT, when a few of us went over there to express our POVs of how this limits Gillian, bombs were practically thrown at us. Several people were claiming that not being able to kiss and be intimate doesn't limit someone in acting. Then there was a person, whom I personally extremely dislike, who twists everything around stating that Gillian is the one who is pushing all her own opportunities away because she doesn't want to kiss herself; in fact, she goes to put the blame on Gillian whenever someone questions on why something occurs with Gillian, and she also tries to cancel out things when praises are made about Gillian. My draw on things is the people who support Gillian holding the jade girl image at CCT are those who don't support Gillian and those who are naive and dislike seeing Gillian on-screen doing something intimate. I have nothing to say about the first kind of people, but for the second kind, they could very well just fast forward or don't watch it when an intimate scene comes up; it's not hard to do. I'm certain that them picking up the remote and pressing a button is much better than Gillian playing limited roles for her whole career.


It mostly is EEG's fault. The jade girl image wasn't exactly intended for, and it wouldn't have existed if they would just push Gillian a bit more. It's just that now that fans have got this jade girl thing in their mind, EEG is playing along with it so that they have a reasonable excuse. EEG really is pushing Isabella to the acting area; her roles are bolder than either of the Twins, and she has just gotten a few roles prior to her lesbian role. Despite that Isabella insists on singing, I think EEG's making a go for her in the acting industry; Mani extremely supports it, if you just look at what she says about Isabella's acting and how she strives opportunities for her. I'm not demanding for Gillian to immediately get something so extreme right off, but I'd really hope that she'd AT LEAST get to kiss and be intimate. That already means a lot.

They're out insisting on how those released new songs are great when it does lack quality. Some fans are even out bashing songs of other artistes because their songs made it up the charts while Twins' songs didn't. Even I have to admit that those songs are much better than Twins' recent songs, Cantonese or Mandarin. Twins' songs will still make it up on the charts obviously since they can't fall that bad at once, and EEG will find their ways.

The old songs of Twins are much catchier. The positives I can find out of the new songs are their singing has gotten better and they're trying something different. If you're getting someone who isn't a Twins fan to listen to it, I doubt they would notice anything about their singing or anything. Once again, they can't just rely on the original fanbase. It really isn't going to last Twins. I would really want to actually support songs because I truthfully like them and not because I'm a fan. It would feel so meaningless. Come on, being a fan means you support the person, but there are things that you can't deny. Even with different opinions and tastes, sometimes things don't land that far off.

If this happens to be the method that EEG is ending Twins with, then I can only hope that Gillian will have better luck and quality when she goes solo. Perhaps EEG is just wanting a reason to make a split between them by having their quality go down. If this isn't a technique, then it's plain sad for EEG, and it'll likely result in a split anyway. Hopefully, Gillian will jump to have a solo ballad in the upcoming album to surprise us all. Perhaps it could be the highlight of the album, then maybe then they can plug it if it's really good. I mean, Mandy plugged a solo song, and she's supposedly tied with Don. Anyway, back to Gillian, I've always believed her to be a great singer, and she has proved this to be true. I'd really want her to be able to fly off for her own career of singing. Hopefully, she'll be able to compose songs herself. One thing to hope for is if she goes off for a solo album, she would give a very original album with a jewel case. No rip offs, and no weird packaging. The two things that EEG loves doing.

Well, the cellphone topic had been brought up because recently in HK, a female artiste had been filmed of her changing in her home by her own boyfriend with his cellphone, who is also an artiste. The female artiste was blackmailed by a man who happened to get ahold of her boyfriend's cellphone with the nude clip. Seeing what happened to Gillian before, I think that's why they asked her about her cellphone.
