Aaawww it looks like Gillian cut her hair!!! In a recent performance in Beijing, that I will be uploading onto here soon, Gillian had her hair up into a ponytail, and it was poofy at the end, and judging by the looks of it, it seems like its shorter! That sucks, because I really liked Gillian's long hair. Hopefully I'm wrong, maybe you guys can see if I'm wrong or not after watching the clip.

Also, it seems like Gillian's showing off her legs a bit more now! In recent functions she's been wearing those boots that cover up the leg like 2/3's of it, and even though I don't like that style of boots, but at least it seems like she's gaining more confidence about how she looks now compared to earlier this year, around March-May, when she kept on covering herself up and wearing ALOT of baggy clothes.

The bikini version does look better than the grave, dark version. Neither are extremely good though. I agree that the poster looks more like an album cover than the album covers. It's fairly equal, and it looks more attractive as well along with corresponding with the album title.

The grave photos are plain ugly, even when disregarding the positions. Their faces look very weird. I have no idea why they chose these to be the album cover, actually I don't understand why they even TOOK photos like these.

Hm, I wonder who the male lead will be? Will he be Korean since that's what the film's plot is heading to? Or will they just find a Chinese person to act as a Korean person? Hey, I wonder if Andrew Lau will make the screentime even among Twins since he's so professional in film-making? He's so well-respected as a director that he probably won't take biased nonsense. We can probably just skip over 'Let's Steal Together', which is releasing in February and go right on to anticipating this film. It sounds more promising since it's not an EEG film.

Perhaps it does have something to do with the split. If Twins slowly drop downhill, then they can just split Twins as they get to a point where most people feel that Twins are done have no large objections to it. I'm not sure if this is the right way to head though. The content should be more promising than the covers. They've been planning and recording for this album throughout the year, so I think they did put a decent amount of time into the songs, but just rushed right through the covers. The only thing that I'm really hoping for quality in is actually just Gillian's solo for the sake of in case they're really splitting soon.


At first, when I read your post, I thought you meant that Gillian cut it really short. Hm, perhaps she just trimmed it a bit, but it still looks pretty good. I mean, I'm extremely thankful that it's straight. When I saw the word 'poofy' in there, I was like 'Uh oh.", but it's all good. Gillian's ponytail was also pulled up really high, so that might be why it looks shorter than usual. On the side, even though this performance is lipsynced (It was required by the show, and it applies to every singer, in case any visitors are wondering.), I think Gillian's gotten better with her stage presence; she's more free to move her body and limbs around with the beat of the song while she used to be more reserved with that. Yep, Gillian's confidence is building up!

I must apologize if I came out too strong but after visiting the Sa thread, my mood was quite tense but I'm okay now. I guess, we will always have different perspective on things. I mean why wouldn't we, we even have different group names, like Gillian Fans and Sa fans so nothing strange about disagreements. And no, we're not always discussing about bias issues, we're simply exhanging insights about Gillian's current well being. We wouldn't be complaining if there was noting to point out. We aren't complaining about songs like You're the Bravest or I Really Want To Love Him because both Twins have equal parts but the music videos, different story and I'm sure even as a Sa fan, it's pretty evident that the music videos were geared towards who; whether you found that to be bias or not, that is your own judgment.

I like that one too. Both Twins look great in swimming suits plus their smiles do create a carefree tone, perfect for their theme. And yes, the second cover whether it be the one where Sa is in front or Gillian, they still look funky; perhaps, the color?

Ooo, I like Twins' summer fun dresses, so pretty. I think I like Gillian's baby blue gown more though; it's more gentle to the eyes. I mean, out in the sun and all and to see a hot orange dress too, that's cute and sexy, but a bit rough on the eyes. Gillian's colors are lighter and more relaxing to look at. Though I wouldn't mind Sa's dress either.

Indeed, I am most thankful that Gillian even has a solo in this album but I would be even more grateful if Gillian's solo turned out to be an emotional ballad. Gillian has already sang fast songs live during their concert and has already tackled a ballad on family importance, it's about time Gillian expresses the deeper and romantic Gillian through a sorrowful heart jerking ballad. I just can't wait. Yes, yes. That's why I brought up Baidu's Chart as evidence that Gillian Chung is a favored artist among others as her solo surfaced up to Number 1 once and remained on the chart for several months. The task of maintaining Gillian's solo up in the Top 100 is not a simple one so it was quite impossible for a group of dedicated fans to achieve that especially when fans are still loyal to both Twins. Some news and official charts aren't always accurate so I completely agree that it was Gillian herself that succeeded and penetrated through the hearts of the wide audience which includes both Twins fans and non-fans all around. Like some people have stated, Gillian's solo wasn't the most catchy nor interesting song, even I liked Sa's solo more, but immediately when Gillian sings, there is just something about Gillian's voice that intrigues and captivates you. Sometimes, songs are just songs, ballads are just full of emotions that have no direction but as for Gillian, her voice becomes the soul of the song, so lively, so vibrant, so amazing, that is what makes an ordinary song become extraordinary for us. Me too. Hopefully, 2007 will be a better year for Gillian and her films.

Gillian's schedule is quite empty. Well, I hope Gillian will have opportunities to at least sing a few of Twins' Mandarin songs from Around the World With 80 Dollars as music awards approach like last year. I wouldn't mind listening to Gillian perform songs like You're the Bravest or most likely, I Really Want To Love Him. Either one, I just want Gillian to get plenty of practice singing solo and attending functions by herself so people can stop criticizing her as being too dependent on Sa. Mani. She is the key to Gillian's door of opportunities; hopefully, the incident has brought Mani and Gillian closer than before so some barriers can be broken.

Aw, the script to Andrew Lau's film does sound decent but I doubt Gillian will be the one who participates in this film at the end even if Andrew requests Gillian first, another deja vu of what happened to the Pang Brothers. I would be SO pissed off if Charlene got the role, not that I don't think that Charlene won't be able to do it well, it's just that Gillian barely has any movies, and she barely gets any opportunities to work with a REALLY great script and something new, and like you said, Gillian has been wanting to act in a movie like this, so hopefully Gillian will get the role. Because really though, Charlene has had so many opportunities in the past years and this year so far, that I think it really is time for EEG to at least give Gillian something good for once. And if this film starts filming this year, then it'll probably be out next year, so if Charlene gets nominated this year for best actress, then EEG shouldn't have to worry about Gillian getting in the way right?

When I read this, I was thinking about how this is something Gillian wanted to participate in, a film purely revolves around love and the obstacles that lead to a happily ending (hopefully). Yes, even though I like how Gillian sings of different topics and genres when she sings solo, but I'd actually want to hear her sing an emotional ballad based on romance. Romance is something that most people can empathize with, and I'd like to see her solo get some attention by singing a broad topic. If Gillian is able to break through, then she could sing about other things later. Yep, China fans are more than likely dedicated to Twins as a whole while other places tend to come right out and state which Twin they favour more, so I doubt that there'd be a group of people online 24/7 helping Gillian's solo get to the top; it has to be that Gillian's solo ended up attracting Twins and non-Twins fans. Fanbases are powerful, but an artiste does need some exterior help from other non or semi fans sometimes. At first impression, I thought Charlene's solo had better quality as well; it had nice lyrics, and the tune was catchier. Afterwards, Gillian's solo somehow just grows on you. I agree that it's probably her voice that's so captivating. After a few runs of the song, her voice just grabs you in. Gillian's voice is simply so versatile and emotional that it's extraordinary. Gillian can do so much more with her voice than shown, just if she is given the chances. I agree; hopefully, 2007 will be the turning point and breakthrough for Gillian.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind either if Gillian got to sing some Twins songs solo; I think I just want to hear her solo anyhow. I seriously see Gillian getting more and more confident on-stage, yet I look at the comments at CCT, and they insist that Gillian looks nervous all the time. I'm not that blind in watching these performances, am I? That is one main reason why I'd like for Gillian to do more things alone; Gillian is a pretty independent person, so why is she always criticized for being dependent as if she can't live without Charlene at her side? Perhaps I'm speaking in a biased tone, but I agree with you. I mean, Gillian fans obviously want Gillian to get the role, and vice versa with Charlene fans, but the romance, the down to earth reality, the human life aspects, <--- that really describes Gillian to me. I don't know, but Gillian's always been more down to the earth with her roles while Charlene's roles lean towards the fantasy side. I think it's not overboard to ask for one good role for Gillian among Charlene's multiple roles. If Charlene's nomination is off EEG's "To Do" list, then perhaps there'll be a better chance for Gillian to receive a good role. Gillian should get the chance to feel the atmosphere of a grand production for once and work with some different people.

I want to see a Gillian ad as well, a solo one that is; hopefully, those ads will be received on her behalf.



Ooh, Won Bin is a pretty good choice, but yeah, he is in the military. I guess having an actual Korean actor would increase the anticipation of the film, wouldn't it? That's a good point. Maybe we should keep on the look-out to find out what this role is. I think it would be the female lead role since Andrew Lau actually mentioned the 'one member of Twins' out. If she was just there for a little portion, I don't think Andrew Lau would mention her like that. He doesn't exactly need to say 'Twins' to attract people for his film, so I'm assuming it's the female lead role that he's handing out.

Haha...I have a lot of confidence in Gillian just not EEG. Their decision is usually disappointing on behalf of Gillian. Just isn't positive with the whole idea of a big budget film, great cast (a Korean-HK collaboration!) and a whole lot of recognization....and EEG actually handing it to Gillian, you know what I mean.

Definitely hope it's the main lead and also Gillian that's the one being it Unless Andrew Lau requested for Charlene instead, it would be harsh that EEG rejects the script for Gillian. Actually, we might not even know who Andrew really requested because of what EEG can do That just sucks.

Hm, didn't Won Bin permanently discharge from the military due to a bad knee problem? Or was it just temporary? Anyway, great choice. Won Bin, though quiet, can portray emotions really well. His personality is very similar to Gillian's so they could hit it off well on and off-screen.

I agree. I just watched the clip lilsleepyhead916 uploaded and boy, Gillian looks so sexy, bold, and all that in red! I love her straight bangs, Gillian's beautiful face resembles a Japanese doll. Yeah, Gillian has unleashed the stronger side of her. I'm not sure why fans criticize Gillian as being dependent on Sa when it's not true at all. Perhaps those fans are the same fans who believe Gillian shouldn't kiss onscreen and Sa can and in this case, Sa can attend functions solo whereas Gillian has to have a mentor guide her through the cracks of the ET industry. Yup, I love Gillian in ads. For some reason, ads are 8/10 in capturing Gillian's true beauty versus the regular function photos we see, which are 5/10 in terms of quality. Solo Gillian ads sounds wonderful, more clips for us to use.

I keep saying I have no hope in the majority of things that occurs to Gillian but deep inside, I'm always cheering Gillian on. Gillian just ignites an eternal flame of support! Even if Gillian doesn't receive this role, we can always hope for something else right?

Oh this is really good news. If it's the same directors, there's a higher chance for them to request for Gillian to play the role. Now I really hope EEG would, for once, give Gillian the oppertunity. I don't mind who the korean actor is, there are plenty of hot guys and at the same time are famous, if Gillian is able to work with them it would be wonderful. Plus, the film will be shown in korea... meaning more exposure. Though because of all of this, I have that terrible feeling in me that EEG might give this chance to Charlene. -.-

Andrew Lau... he recently filmed, 'Daisy', or maybe that was sometime last year... but anyway it was also a collaboration between China and Korea I think. Though I didn't notice any HK actor/actresss... well who cares, I just want to mention that 'Daisy' was a very good film, romantic and tragic. I love these kind of movies and I'm sure Gillian would do an amazing job protraying the role.

Yes, Gillian's incident went bigger than expected. I mean, news about her incident was even posted on the US Yahoo. Come on, we have to make the best out of the worst. Gillian's incident was worse than bad, but it let everyone know that Gillian Chung knows how to get back on her own feet and keeping advancing. Gillian has never worked with a grand production cast and crew; she barely gets to work with well-experienced actors. She should get this one chance; she deserves it. If Charlene misses this one out, she'll have loads to come later. If Gillian misses this one out, then I don't know how long she has to wait until EEG will finally accept one for her.

Losing her first on-screen kiss in this film is a great idea. After doing that, there'll be no excuses to limit her anymore, seeing that this is a grand production. This film has a realistic and mature plot, so I think Gillian would enjoy starring in it. It's a plot that she's been anticipating, a tragic romance where she can play a character who goes berserk over the love of her life. How I wish to see Gillian star in one of these roles.

Well, like bluehearts said, I'm sure we all believe in Gillian and have confidence in her, but it's EEG that we have none in. They're the reason we don't have that much hope in the things that Gillian does, but we have the confidence that Gillian will be able to break her way through and float to the top.

That really is surprising. I didn't think these film directors would be out directing a Mainland series. There is a chance of them wanting to collaborate with Gillian in a film, assuming that they felt the same way of Gillian's performance as everyone else from the FFOTSM cast and crew. Then again, it could also mean that since they've worked with one Twin, they want to work with the other one. Or the other one just gets offered up to them by EEG. Hopefully, it's the first one; they want to work with Gillian again under a different setting.


No kidding. Maybe it's just me, but I somehow think that it's taking an awful long time for certain fans to move on. It's as if their thinking is still back when Twins just came out. All those thoughts such as Gillian dependent on Charlene, Gillian cannot kiss, etc. are reasonable to exist five years ago, but not now. Gillian has really grown stronger and matured through these years; she knows how to get through the ET circle herself now. I agree that she needed help back then, but back then is back then, now is now. I don't even believe that it was a one-sided thing that Gillian needed Charlene's help, Charlene could've needed Gillian's help all the same. People, in general, are interdependent, so there's no way that only Gillian needed help.

I really wish that Andrew Lau would just say which Twin he wants instead 'a member from Twins'. I bet this is some kind of suspense tactic. From the way he said it, he sounds like he has already chosen the one he wants in his cast. 'One of Twins' members will be joining the cast.' sounds pretty confident. Perhaps he's discussed with EEG already.

Oh that sounds nice. I really want to see something different from the average romance stories. This sounds meaningful, I wonder if it'll be a tragedy though? Well either way I'll enjoy it if Gillian is casted. I know this isn't nice, but if Gillian isn't choosen for the role, I really hope that neither Twins are

The plot sounds great so far...it not tho mushy wooshy romance..but more of a realistic serious one...and that's great...however..i wonder what kind of role andrew going to give either one of the twin..because he never mention anything about choosing one of twins to be the female lead if i recall it correctly

Okay, this is bad news. It's basically saying that this person saw a news clip announcing that the chosen Twins is Sa, not Gillian. Hopefully, this isn't true. I guess, to stop myself from getting too far with my hope of Gillian participating in this film, I'm not going to discuss about this Andrew collaboration until this piece of news is cancelled out.

Thanks everyone for the warm comments. I should be making more videos but with my process, they'll be released slowly. Anyway, I have to go guys, I'm still upset and disappointed like usual about this film project. Hopefully, it's false news and better news will be shared soon.

I don't care who the role goes to, really. If it goes to Sa (which someone mentioned is the case), then I am happy Sa gets this opportunity, but I hope EEG gives Gil as good of opportunities in other areas, whether it be in movies or singing. Because I have really enjoyed watching Gil progress as a solo singer...I think she has done a great job and has displayed a lot more confidence then I would have originally assumed. In fact, even if Gil does not get this role, at least it is helping her in the area I think twins need the most work, their singing (and dancing.) I can understand that you all want Gil to play the role. It would be a great opportunity for her. And you are probably pretty disappointed if Sa does get the role. But I believe that things happen for reason, although this door might have closed for Gil, another one may open and that door might be even better! When Twins do inevitably split, at least Gil will have the experiance of singing solo and performing on her own under her belt, and she is already a decent actress, so she'll be a one-two punch So I cannot say whether her not getting this role will be a good thing in the long run or a bad, but I can say that although it is disappointing, there are some positive consequences too. I would feel the same way if Gil got the role instead of Sa It's a bad thing in one aspect, but a good thing in another. It's okay that you guys might not see it the way I do, I don't expect you to. It's just that this is the same way I deal with situations in my own life, so I apply it to circumstances that happen to my idols (I don't like using the word idol but it gets the point across) too.




@asillysaint: It's okay, I am not mad at you. I was a bit upset after reading your post, but after thinking about what you said, it is completely understandable. In the Sa thread, I probably said things that came out a little bit to negatively too, because like you, it get's frustrating sometimes. I am horrible at argueing points because I get so frustrated, and I write things that I probably shouldn't and that angers people....but I REALLY hate getting people angry, so then I get upset about it and give up. I think I am still going to try to express my opinions, but do it in a way that is more positive and less negative. We may disagree, and we may think that we ourselves are right and get frustrated at the other person for not seeing it the way we do, but as long as our discussions (I like discussions better than arguements) do not get dragged down to a personal level, I think I will be fine.

The video's really nice and most of the scenes went really well with the music and the overall plot, but the only part that I didn't really like was the 'EG EGpypitian Dance' part, to me, it just didn't seem to fit. Because most of the dancing is of sexy-ish type of dancing, but the EG dancing part was more of a cutesy type, so it didn't really go well to me. But that's just my opinion. Overall, it was a really great MV.

It seems like a really good plot, and it seems different from the movies/series that I have seen. And maybe this could be like a premodern movie too? Like where the Chinese wear the 'kai po', it'll be a pretty sweet romantic tragedy because maybe Gillian's parents won't let her marry a Korean guy and so on... =D There goes my little imagination of the plot.... =P

I understand what you mean, and I think what you said is reasonable. It is obvious that we would want Gillian to get the role while Charlene's fans would want her to get the role; it's very natural, depending on who you're supporting, but I agree that nothing is ever completely bad. We will be disappointed if Gillian doesn't the role, but our support for her won't change, and I'm sure she could develop something elsewhere. Like you said, if she happened to get more opportunities to sing solo and such, it would be nice. It's just that since it's not confirmed whether the role is going to Gillian or Charlene, we're just keeping a bit of our hopes up that it may be Gillian. Personally, I just feel that it would nice if Gillian could finally participate in a grand production.

I'm really happy to hear that......
But then I don't want get into it because I don't want to get my hopes up because I really want Gillian to get this opportunity to show to everyone that she has improved on her acting abilities and that she is capable of taking on any roles just like Charlene.
So I'm not gonna dwell on it very much. I'm not gonna excite myself until it's confirm on who gets it.....

Although I'm praying that it'll be Gillian but then I'm not. I know it's not gonna be Gillian so I'm already bummed out about it. Does things like this ever really happened to Gillian--nope!

That comment only refers to certain individuals, not all Sa fans, we all understand that. It's a give and take situation, if you're one of those people (I'm not saying you are, just an example.) then perhaps the comment might hit a soft spot but if you're not, just simply ignore it. Nothing in this Gillian thread is used to group all Sa fans as alike.

Well, not every Gillian fan feels the same way; hopefully, you caught that. I personally would love that Gillian receives this opportunity but it just seems quite unlikely, given past history, but I wouldn't mind if Sa received the role, like I said before, Gillian will have other opportunities opened to her whether she gets the role or not.

Has anyone wonder what Gillian solo MV would be like? Do you think EEG will actually take time to film Gill solo and Char solo? I mean Gill mando solo didn't even have a MV yet. At least they should of made one using functions.

Hm, I have watched Daisy yet but I think I should check it out if it's a tragic love story.

Gillian participating in this project fresh out of the incident like this will only symbolize strength on Gillian as an individual and others in the ET industry as supporters. I feel the same way, it's not about outshining the other like we all have come to understand, it's moreso a plea that Gillian has an opportunity to work with experienced actors/actresses, something so new to an actress of 5 years like Gillian but such an ordinary thing to newcomers like Isabella to say the least. Yup, Andy's invitation has silenced down, I'm not sure now, if EEG rejected Andy's request; perhaps using the excuse of how Gillian still needs to recover from the incident so nothing drastic like filming alone elsewhere will be permitted until further notice. I'm speculating. Seems like Gillian's film offers are cut short no matter what.

Anyway, Gillian's image has always been delicate, to watch Gillian emotionally break down, going bersek over love would be awesome. Someone needs to please expose the mature side of Gillian's acting, just like Beyond Our Ken. You know when Gillian portrayed Ching Ling So, a character who deeply loves and sacrifices for the one she loves YET doesn't receive anything in return and how we were once discussing that it would also be great to watch Gillian portray a slightly different role, one that is just as a die-hard fan of romance and true love who also risks everything for the one she loves who also loves her in return. It would be great to compare and analyze both similar yet different characters, it's those small details that will make a world of difference and I can't wait to see that happen! Gillian's first kiss has to be special, it's a virgin kiss, technically. What a blessed guy for being the chosen one.

That is what I'm also afraid of as well. Since Andrew already worked with Gillian, perhaps he may wish to work with Sa next. But then again, anyone who has worked with Gillian always praises Gillian and wants to work with her again but on a different level like the director of 49 Days and of course, Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain. But then again, the question arises, whatever happened to the sequel of 49 Days? Why all of a sudden, the sequel was never mentioned again but instead, the Twins film project came into effect?

Hm, you're right. It does seem like Andrew already has his eyes on one specific Twins already but is just waiting to cast others before making an official announcement. Then after reading the piece of news Season12 posted and CathyW corrected, how if it's not Gillian then Sa, it sounds like Gillian is more likely requested but since negotiations with EEG are still processing, Andrew doesn't want to spoil anything yet by requesting one yet working with another one in the end.

Hm, I could really care less about EEG at the moment since Twins themselves have been receiving nothing but low budget investments. But it would still be nice to have solo music videos, the more clips of Gillian, the merrier.

About being negative, it really depends on the situation. I mean, for me, I really saw the CD covers as an unfair decision made by EEG and I wanted to say something about it. I don't want to keep quiet just so everything will be peaceful between the fans, call me selfish or whatever, I don't care...If you mean my negative comment then, is it me that made all the Charlene fan's attack us...? They're fake. Twins have had photoshopped photos of them nude before, it's nothing new and important because they're not real. Hm, I remember EEG was once notified in regards to a photoshopped nude photo but I'm not sure what happened to the case. Hopefully, none of this reaches Gillian's ears, that would be painful. Plus, EEG cannot possibly stop online users from creating their own porn of Twins, the internet can be a savage weapon.

I wish I could manipulate clips, placing Edison and Gillian dancing next to each other. Well, at first, I thought the same way, the music video takes place in a party setting but all of a sudden, it is odd watching Edison-Gillian dance cutesy onstage but then again, if you listen to the music, especially the flute going "doo-doo-doo" high and low, that matches quite well with Edison-Gillian's EGpyptian Dance. And plus, that was the only clip I had of them dancing together, which matches well with the lyrics of:
