I think it's reasonable that Charlene is the lead singer since the song is supposed to be her solo to start with. I haven't really listened to the other songs for a second time yet since her solo captured me right away that I have just been repeating it for the whole evening.
When the album releases, I'll be sure to listen for Gillian's other improvements; there are still one or two songs that they haven't played during the radio interview, so I'll want to take a listen at those as well.
Her solo didn't really remind me of Joey, but because the way Gillian sang her solo sounded more mature than her usual singing and more stable, it did resemble Vivian in a way, but as the song progressed, it was still pure Gillian.
Now I really hope this song gets plugged; it deserves to be plugged!
Charlene's voice is the base of the song, but Gillian's voice just adds some sugar and spice to it.
I like how the duet version came out; it's not just the solo version with an extra person singing in it, but there are actually things that are different. Some bass is added in the melody, and it was intended for Gillian to sing higher than the standard notes. It turned out beautifully.
This may be the first step that Gillian matures in her singing and genres.
You really wouldn't expect a song like this to be included in a Twins album. Man, this ballad is so addicting!!
Composing is making the melody of the song, yeah. Charlene composed the song while the lyricist, LinXi, wrote the lyrics. I don't know; does composing mean writing? Now I'm kind of confused.
From semi-average jumpy summer songs to a completely lovely ballad like
If Not Him, I Won't Marry, that transition in the album surprised us all!

I really heard no major improvements even when Twins sang that summer song live but just a radio version of Gillian's solo is enough to show that Gillian's voice has matured and perfect even when solo, perhaps even more stable and beautiful. Now this album is a definite buy!
Really? Hm, perhaps it's just me. Gillian did begin off sounding like Vivian but who could blame her? Gillian's voice in general is soft, sweet, and gentle like Vivian's but the only difference is, Gillian has been singing simplified Twins songs that have not brought out the best from Gillian's voice, her full potential. I do hope that this song is plugged as well; this definitely is a highlighting song of the entire album. I mean, the ballad in terms of lyrics, melody, and of course Gillian combined is such a beautiful blend that if this solo wasn't plugged, it would be quite a waste.

But either way, I'm satisfied.
I guess, Gillian fans find the duet more appealing due to the extra elements added in and of course, Gillian's voice but a few Sa fans don't. I understand their frustration, welcome to our world huh?

But what I meant to say was, if these are the current roads EEG is planning out for each Twin, Sa in the acting industry and Gillian in the music industry, then perhaps it is reasonable for this distinction of solos. I mean, come on. In terms of films, Sa is way ahead of her game. I see no one sympathizing for Gillian when EEG rejected
Abnormal Beauty on behalf of Gillian while accepting
Diary for Sa. A few fans just simply stated that each Twin has her own image; well, same goes in the music industry; perhaps each Twin does have her own image as well. Look at this year alone, Gillian has practically no solo films nor minor solo roles while Sa has quite a few. And a few fans are acting like Gillian is stealing Sa's credits for composing the song, no she isn't. It was arranged that way. And yes, Sa may have stated that she was going to write the solo in the beginning just like Gillian but what do you know, none of Gillian's submitted songs are included in this album while Sa's is so I don't think anyone is lying when they say, Sa helped composed the melody but the lyrics were written by LinXi, it even states so in the piece of news, unless it's wrong or like usual, I'm translating it inaccurately? Anyway, I tried.

I think Charlene composed it by humming out the tune, in the interview she said that she would hum it in the shower and stuff, so maybe if she hummed out something nice, she would record it and maybe then when she got the whole song planned out on how it would go, she hummed it out or something to Ronald Ng, and then he played it out on the piano?
And I don't think either Twins play an instrument currently. I remember this interview that asked if they would play an instrument in a concert, similar to Lee Hom's concert, and they said that they wouldn't because all they would be doing is just memorizing how to play it, and not playing it based on years of practicing. So I doubt any of them play an instrument as a hobby.
Yes, I believe that's how Sa composed the song too. In terms of the music, perhaps the music crew were responsible for that part of the song while using Sa's hum as the basis, that's considered composing.
I don't think either Twins know how to play instruments either, if they did, they would have used some of their abilities earlier already.

^Someone told me the release date is the 25th..which if it is I'll be very P.O.ed...
Hm, the links have already been posted here at this forum but it's BT though, which I'm not a fan of; I guess, we would have to wait for others to upload it in rar or zip.
Go Gillian~
