I havent really watched many of these with asian singers and bands. But you always see them with english or americans because they are easier to find.

From what I've seen of her work, she always looks stiff in her roles, mostly because she's probably too worried about appearing "unwomanly" on film. And don't tell me that EEG restricts her choice in roles and scripts--ok, maybe they have done that, but that could be for a myriad of reasons, maybe because EEG doesn't think she's ready for mature roles as she simply doesn't have the acting chops. Simply said, she's a bad actress. You can tell she doesn't act from her heart. She's just going through the motions, and sometimes her acting is so bad it makes me cringe. You guys just give her too much credit where none is due.
How would you act in a situation like that?
You're answer doesn't matter to me though, you can say whatever, but it wouldn't concern me. I think that any sane person would react the way Gillian did, unless you don't care that your body was exposed to the world. Plus, I don't think crying is showing your weakness, but even if it was, so what? There's bound to be a point in your life, where you just break down, it doesn't matter how old you are. As for talking like a "13 year old", if that's how you think a 13 year old talks, well then good for you. I admit, Gillian has difficulty expressing herself, but she has improved, you can see that by looking at the interviews from 5 years ago. No one is perfect, and no one is as cold as a stone. We all have emotions, ups & downs, and times when we feel we just can't breath. Because Gillian Chung is an entertainer, you have the expectations that she shouldn't be human. Sometimes at functions, you can see Gillian with forced smiles and looking stiff, which is maybe what you consider "smiling dumbly at the camera", ok nice choice of words. Anyway, you detest that image and yet you think Gillian should smile like that during the photo incident. What do you want from her? 
I'm sorry hun, but the fact is EEG does choose the roles for her and for every artiste in their company. That is how restricting they are. When all she's given are 'flower vase' roles, there's not much to work with. I think she's tried her best, which is what I admire. What comes down to it though, is a matter of opinion. I don't think there is such a line to separate good from bad acting. Heck, some of the best actors out there, or rather people who claim they are, make me just shake my head and laugh. So it's really just pointless for me to continue defending Gillian when you're probabaly not going to give a d@mn as to what I say.
It's posts like yours that tick me off. What you said just really upsetted me and it was practically an insult to Gillian and all her fans. I don't even know why I'm responding to your post, when I have so much that I should be doing.

Well, ebilxteddy, rumikochan, and genna already summed up my thoughts in regards to your opinions. You just said it, Gillian is a woman, woman is human, human have tears, it's natural. Whether Gillian is super strong or too weak, does that make her less of a better person? I would believe not. I guess, you must really hate it when Twins cry during award ceremonies? I would hope it's the same grin, I mean, Gillian is still the same Gillian, just an ordinary girl trying to make ends meet but through the ET industry.
I understand, Gillian has been quite a stiff and bad actress before but she's improving. If the right opportunities come her way, Gillian will polish her acting abilities in no time. Everyone just needs a worthy chance including Gillian. Hopefully, your opinion of Gillian will change later with decent projects that will grant Gillian the opportunity to penetrate through your opinions and others alike. I think as viewers, we all don't know what goes behind the scenes, at times, too little credit is given to Gillian.

You said it, "indecent pictures". How was she supposed to react when unwanted pictures of her are taken without her permission? Pretend like nothing is bothering her and hiding her feelings? Now, I think there's some weakness there. People who hides their emotions and act like they don't have a care in the world, they are weak because they feel vunerable to show their emotions so they are always walking around with a mask. It's really tiring to carry yourself like that and I don't see how that's tough or strong to put a barrier around yourself. I don't know what your definition of strong and tough is but it's definitely not how I would define it.
Guess what, I'm going to tell you that EEG does in fact restricts her choice in roles and scripts. I admit too, Gillian's earlier projects weren't that good but she's improving. If her acting was so terrible, I don't see a reason why she would be able to get nominated for "Best Actress". That's a pretty big honor and award. I don't think everyone is so blind to nominate her if her acting isn't qualified.
Have you watched enough of her movies to say that she works on films that only makes her look the prettiest? I won't disagree that she looks beautiful in her films but it's not even her fault that she looks that pretty, is it?
I don't think her character's appearance in "Moving Targets" was that flattering in the beginning so why would she take that role? I don't think acting silly in some of the Twins film would emphasize how "womanly" she is or being in an action movie so I guess she must have made a few mistakes to take those roles and ruin her feminity on screen that she worries oh so much of like you said, huh? I'm sorry, but your post doesn't sound too convincing.Oh yea, how does being beautiful have any connections with being tough and strong? And you sure that works, I mean the quote you provided? Gill#1Fan: Thanks for the beautiful photos of Gillian. Man, I am speechless, Gillian looks so pretty without makeup and plus, those dancing photos are breath taking. Gillian's posture and attitude is so mature and elegant.

Yeah, I think it depends on the singer's voice and the genre. Gillian's singing voice isn't along the common low voices, so it could explain why low notes aren't Gillian's best keys to sing in. Her low notes aren't bad, but they don't highlight her singing as much as her higher notes do. The difference was shown audibly through that one verse. Gillian's singing is great, and I hope that by the next time this song is performed, Gillian will begin her verse off at a key that she's comfortable with and sounds best in.
Yeah, I don't know whether that's good or not.
I guess in one way, you can say it's good because it's more wit and the song doesn't have to be stopped, but then I'm personally not that fond of singers inserting lyrics and it's like saying that the singer didn't take the time to memorize the lyrics properly. Okay, we can let it slip once since there really wasn't much time for memorizing the lyrics, but let's hope Gillian will get the lyrics right next time. Anyway, Gillian went on the gameshow 15/16 again. This time, she won $40,000!

I don't think that's round two of the dance, it's just Twins performing (lipsyncing) 'Around The World With 80 Dollars' and 'Starlight Amusement Park' (they wrote 'Trainee Cupid' on the video, but yeah, it was this song).
And it seems like they are wearing makeup to me, but just very minimal. And I think that Gillian was crying for Charlene, because Charlene won first place.
seems like most china shows forbid the singers to live sing...they're force to lipsync
This must be the girl in that serie Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain. She is very gorgeous. I can't wait to see it.

Yeah. There should be no reason why Ronald would just simply 'forget.' He's a professional, if he didn't like Gillian's composition, he could have simply handed it back to Gillian for revision, no need to ignore the issue. I'm sure Gillian herself is aware that her compositions are rough drafts, editing here and there is normal but Ronald lacked responsibility on his part. His reason is just too lame and gosh, I hate it how some fans make it seem as though Gillian's compositions weren't good enough or whatnot, thus, they didn't make the cut. Well, I'm pretty sure, if Gillian had decent feedback, she would have been able to revise her compositions so they would be suitable but no, Ronald just blindly forgot? And how come her interview is only about 4 mintues and Charlene is 8 minutes????

So no, not liking Gillian's work has nothing to do with why Gillian's compositions aren't on the album; that's just too lame and dodging the question. Like or no like, improvements are always plentiful, just a matter of opportunities and obviously, Ronald or whoever didn't not pay enough attention to Gillian's work from the beginning.The time gap, eh, I'm immuned.

Off topic >.<" Toro used to be a member of a Taiwanese boyband, Energy, and he's a Taiwanese [Mando] and right now he is a working in Jungiery Stars, a taiwan artists company [5566, 183CLUB etc.] And by the way, he's the composer for Edison's song, Angel, correct me if I am wrong. ^.^ After you mention it, I think TG would look kinda cute together.

It is a pretty good MV, as in the editting and assembling of clips, but I agree that the lesbian part is not necessary.

It's just really crazy to me. You have just spoke my mind. I have no idea why these people want to refer to Twins as a 'couple'. They are partners and great friends, but where do people get the couple idea from? I mean, everyone knows everyone in the ET industry but they rarely have time to hang out or show the public that they're friends and not always in competition with each other. Yeah, they look really friendly with each other. When Gillian just came back from completing her dance, Kathy immediately took her by the arms.
Well, I guess everyone does know everyone, but it's not necessary that they are friends. Sometimes, they probably don't even have the time to become friends. Anyway, I absolutely loved Kathy in the serial, 'Time Before Time'; everything about that serial was great. Kathy looked beautiful, gave a wonderful portrayal, and the plot was superb. It would be great if Gillian had a chance to get her hands on a script that has a story structure that was as good as 'Time Before Time', but I don't necessarily want her to portray a character like Kathy's though. Even though her character was really nice and such, she appeared a bit weak at times. Then again, Gillian could tackle those tear jerking scenes in a great manner. Yep, TVB's quality of actresses is going down the drain as well. Each good actress is leaving one by one, and the new ones simply don't compare. I have no idea what Gillian's been up to; the last thing we heard was her participation in 15/16. I do hope to hear more about her. They were finished 'Let's Steal Together' for a long time already; they were done at the end of August.
Fans tend to make people in groups couples, I don't know why though, when they're just partners and friends. I understand making a banner set and music video about friendship, but lovers?! I'm like the rest of you, I don't necessarily have a problem with lesbians/gays, but it's weird when people group celebs like that. It's crazy what one kiss or hug can do.
I don't see anything wrong with making Twins lesbians in either fan fics or in music videos. How is it any different from pairing Gillian with Nic, Sa, Edison, etc? It's all love and it's all beautiful. I see nothing wrong or strange with it. And that music video was wonderfully done, one of my favorite. I applaud people who have the courage to make same sex music videos or fan fictions because a lot of people will disagree and find it wrong. Was it wrong for the directors to make a movie with Isabella and Rainie as a couple? In my mind, there is no difference from what the music video creator was doing. In essence, he/she was creating a movie, a small one, but it has a storyline and characters so it is a movie. And the person did it tastefully *shrugs* i loved it.

Hm, I dunno. I guess I'm more of the traditional type? lol... I have nothing against gay/lesbians, and I have written a fanfic on that topic, but still I can't deny that I get this weird feeling when people see Gillian and Charlene in a relationship more than just friends and partners. Whenever the topic of splitting or pairing with so and so, there's bound to be someone that says Gillian and Charlene belong together. To me... that's kind of odd, but of course it's something that EEG has been setting up also. You can see that they're kind of promoting that thought.
Anyway, I wonder what Gillian's doing? Is she filming the WJ serial, or did something come up? I haven't been reading the news lately -.-

i agree with you. I enjoys watching it myself, and i found it to be quite refreshing and hilarious. It's nothing wrong watch two of them being pair together...i have to give the creator two thumbs up
for being so courageous and make such video cause not everyone will be able to appreciate the theme and art of it...but i like it!

Hm, I guess, no one saying that it's wrong but it's a bit different and awkward. I personally am a bit traditional plus a Christian too so perhaps that's why I find it a bit odd. We're just sharing opinions and I think opinions aren't necessarily right or wrong. Like you, I applaud this person for making this music video, everything was very well done. Thanks for the clip. Gillian looks so cute while practicing. Even though, the cameras didn't zoom in on Gillian's facial expressions but just judging from her stern and elegant posture, Gillian was very into the waltz. I'm still amazed at her spin towards the end, like a beautiful butterfly. Oh, I love it how Gillian always ends each show with such a cool touch. That's an interesting thought. I wouldn't doubt that something like that is possible because EEG is simply really dark with their thoughts, actions and treatments. We also don't know what kind of person Vincy is; she could be the really paranoid kind of person, and if she is, then possibly she could have an impact on Gillian's career. It just all seems pretty connected, with everything and everyone having some kind of connection with EEG. I mean, with Edison admitting to date Vincy, the reporters would rather try to dig up dirt on Rosanne rather than Gillian, when Gillian's case with Edison was a much bigger commotion, along with the involvement of Shawn. They're making it sound like EG were never an item at all, even as a rumoured couple; when listing all of Edison's rumoured girlfriends, they avoided writing down Gillian's name, but they did post her photo. It sounds so dramatic, jealous girlfriend closing all paths for boyfriend's ex.
If Vincy's really thinking that way, then I would suggest to her that she should get them to promote Gillian more instead. As she closes all the doors on Gillian, Gillian will have free time. With free time, she will be able to reminisce about her past.
