Here's what I think:

Whether people like charlene better or GILLIAN better..the both of them can't do things without one another...
If there's no GILLIAN then charlene wouldn't be as famous as she is and of there's no charlene then people wouldn't care so much...
But because of the both of them that's how TWINS came to being it's because they both needed each other without the other one TWINS would be nothing....
Even if GILLIAN doesn't get promoted as much as charlene it shouldn't matter who's better..... Maybe it's just not GILLIAN time yet..Her time will come....
If EEG see it that way then why not just promote charlene and let GILLIAN go...The thing is that they like Gillian too if they didn't they wouldn't have formed TWINS...EEG needs GILLIAN as well as they charlene....No need to fuss....

Yeah ...without charlene...there wont be anyone name gillian too if theres no one of them there wont be twins ..soo instead we shld support them both without dissing another

you guys are so right, they have to be together to be famous, but if its true that Gillian is not paid as much as charlene, then there's a problem. there are Twins for god sake so EEG gotta paid them equally (with of course some little exception occasionally)... there are infait that true like in the new Twins' poster of their new concert, Charlene is like standing up straight and gillian looks like she's begging down there at Charlene's feet ... i think its totally unfair...

you guys are right, i just realized it but charlene is promoted a lot more than gillian. they should definately be promoted equally. As for ah gill's acting career, i think she has improved tremendously especially in Beyond Our Ken and House Of Fury. why is EEG being so unfair to gillian.

I'd have to disagree with the clothes......I think Gillian's are a lot more stlylish then charlene...Charlene tends to be more boyish(TomBOyish) and as for Gillian, she's more girlie......MOst of their music video I've seen, Gillian has more a better style than charlene...She's dresses more like an elegant, sophisticated, beautiful, gorgeous lady..And charlene is more laid-back, relax, casual, pretty lady....And if you add those two together it turns into one heck of a TEAM... If EEG splits them then it'll be one of the biggest mistake that they made....One would not be better without the other......They need each other to make a whole....

Of course that's true. It's been so widely known and witnessed for such a long time now.

Sorry Twins and Sa Fans on this thread but it's obviously true so please don't even argue or rebuttle to protect Sa because it doesn't deal with Sa directly, it involves EEG.

As I was surfing forums etc. it is in fact true that Sa does have the most screen time in MVs and films. For instance, Twins Effect I&II and Death Curse, why call it Twins Effect when the movie was totally geared towards Sa and her cute relationship with a vampire and yes, some dedicated Gillian fans have compiled the total screen time, and concluded that Sa most definitely had the most screen time when it's supposed to be equal amount between Twins. Death Curse, self explanatory because the story began with Sa and ended with her period.

I'm beginning to wonder why EEG didn't at least insert Gillian in the new heavily promoted movie "A Tall Chinese Story" when almost all EEG artists had a role and during that filming time, Gillian's schedule wasn't even compacted to point where she couldn't film. And don't even give me that bull sh*t that the directors probably didn't have a part for Gillian because gosh darn it, do you guys see what I'm seeing?? Almost all EEG artists have a role?? Obviously, the directors are under EEG's negotiation. Were they afraid that Gillian might steal the spotlight or didn't want to further promote Gillian or what because this movie is going to be a blockbuster hit!

Some news mentioned that Sa's movies sells more tickets but Gillian is the one who directors request most often. Then why do we see so little of Gillian versus Sa?? For those who probably don't understand how salary works for actresses, here goes: salaries increase due to the amount of movies you make, how popular your films are, and how much you're wanted in the industry by directors! Well, if I'm reasoning correctly, Sa's salary is slightly higher because she has been granted the opportunity from EEG to particpate in any role she desires versus Gillian, EEG still has a tight constraint on. How can Gillian's salary increase when she can't even produce that many films due to EEG's strict hold on her, can't expand her horizons in acting different roles that would attract more audience again due to EEG, and somehow turned down so many directors due to EEG?!! See, why it's bias??

Despite all of this, Gillian is still the preference because she obviously has potential and talent but EEG is the barrier to her success.

Singing? To be honest, I don't know if you guys are serious or not hearing correctly but it's so evident that Sa had the bigger and louder parts in their entire Mandarin album, their Cantonese albums are quite fair, but it doesn't matter because it's their Mandarin album that went platinum and was heard throughout all regions outside of HK. And please I'm tired of hearing the lame reason that Gillian has the soft sweet voice while Sa has the stronger voice because realistically, it doesn't matter because everything we hear on CD are digitalized and fixed so uh of course there are modern technology that can equalize the voices to being the same!!

Yeah, about promotions...look how much promotions Sa is involved in versus Gillian. Like her recent movies? We as Gillian fans don't even have a clue.

And yes, Twins are better together but this is A GILLIAN THREAD so sorry to say but I'm showing my FULL SUPPORT FOR ONLY GILLIAN because this is Gillian's solo thread and not Twins but it doesn't mean that I dislike SA. That's a whole different issue.

The Mandarin album. Don't even get me started on that. The starlight wonderland song might as well have been Charlene's solo. It wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway. I want them to have solo songs in their cantonese album, but EEG are so biased, they will probably be promoting Charlene's song whilst Gillian's song is just gonna be another song in the album.

I actually don't mind that Gillian's not in A Chinese Tall Story, because I find the storyline a little weird, but EEG has put sooooo much promotion into it that it will probably do well. Oh well, I doubt the boxoffice is gonna be enough to cover all the promotion expenses.

I just hope that when Gillian's new film comes out, EEG will at least allow Gillian to promote it.

I know. The Starlight Wonderland song was Sa's solo and in the other songs, Gillian's voice was so faded into Sa's dominating voice, I couldn't even hear her sing half of the time.

Promotions are everything. Even if the movie sucked but a lot of famous artists are in it and plus heavy promotions have been done versus a good film but little recognition, it would go nowhere.



Acting is acting, it doesn't matter if Sa is stronger in those roles that resemble her personality or not, they should at least allow Gillian to expand her weaknesses. And plus Sa has been associated with those bubbly roles for so long, they would think that Sa is the only one good at those parts which is not true at all. Gillian could act just as bratty, cute, and bubbly.

I totally agree...EEG and Mani are really holding her back by eg. not letting her film any kissing/intimate scenes, to keep her so-called 'jade girl' image. Because if she is not allowed to film those scenes, which is very common in almost every movie nowadays, then she'll definitely lose many opportunities to expand her acting skills...as the roles she's 'suitable' for are very limited.

I also agree wit u. how come charlene gets to film all different kind of movies. not anything against charlene cause i luv her too but in a couple of movies her character was very slutty. since they are twins aren't they suppose to share the same image and isn't ah sa suppose to be the cute and innocent one. Yes, Moving Targets was really rushed. I think that was what actually spoiled the film, cos the script as a whole was pretty good considering it was a film by Wong Jing. Also, I believe the boxoffice for the film would have been a lot higher if there was more promotion. From memory, I think there was about 2 promotion events altogether.

The KG duet, I highly doubt there will be a MV for it. EEG never seem to promote duets....
