Wow...Gillian's thread is so active!! 18 pages...wow!! Oh yea about the short previews of the MV, Conscience Discovery, I had thought about uploading it to the youtube website because it's such an active site where alot of people go to search for MV's and video related stuffs...I thought it would make more people notice the MV by putting up there but unfortunately my computer somehow won't let me upload it...everytime I try uploading, it gives me error!!

Since EEG is doing such a 'bad' job at promoting Gillian,
I think it's only up to us fans to find ways to help Gillian promote her...at least try to get more people to notice her works!!

Yeah, I would predict that many fans would go beserk if KG did release an official album together. It'd make me pretty pissed off though if any Charlene fans start yakking on about it being unfair to Charlene, since Gillian has put up with it for five years, so what makes them think that Charlene can't put up with it through ONE thing? The duet between KG is getting pretty popular now, but I think a few more pushes at it would probably heat it all up.

I love Gillian's voice in Conscience Discovery too! I love all the times when Gillian has no holdbacks while singing since when she's with Charlene, she seems to be pressuring her voice down to avoid any clashes with Charlene's voice; therefore, she doesn't sound as nice. Because you know, when you push your voice down, you can never project the beats/notes of the songs as well as you should be when you're singing with your entire voice being expressed. A Chinese Tall Story's theme/sub, I think you're right that it doesn't exactly grab on to the listener, because I remember when I listened to it that it just merely sounded alright to me, meaning the melody, not the singers' performances, and I didn't keep it on my computer for very long either. Uh huh, Charlene fans always claim that Gillian's voice is "weird" in Conscience Discovery, but they never realize that a singer's voice should be able to alter around of how they sound depending whether they're singing with a male artist/female artist, or simply alone; probably because Charlene's voice does sound the same regardless of what type of song it is. What was that Charlene fan talking about?!
Gillian's voice is just as strong, if not, I can say it's probably even stronger than Charlene's. I know! Gillian should've been allowed to invite her own guest during her solo performance! Like after Gillian's done with her fighting performance with the audience all excited, she could've calmed the audience with the nice and sweet duet she has with Kenny......... Of course, EEG never allowed it.
It does seem like Gillian's adapting to being more bold and outspoken nowadays, whether in performances or interviews. She's gotten to be singing louder and projecting her voice out more in terms of singing; she's letting herself go farther in acting, like the kiss on the cheek with Stephen in 49 Days and the more intimate scenes with Kenny in the MV of Conscience Discovery, and she's not afraid to speak her mind about what her company's doing to her. Perhaps she's realized that her own popularity is no farther off, but even further, than her partner's?
I hope she has good solos too, because if the lyrics and melody of a song isn't good to start with, there's practically nothing that a singer can do to reverse it, regardless of how well he/she sings.
Hehe, I actually love reading long comments/suggestions too rather than the little short sentences. I love writing a lot about Gillian issues, and I'm glad I have someone who thinks the same way!
I sure hate it when people say that the only reason that Gillian has a big fan base is only because of her beauty. I strongly object to it. I, for one, speaking with an honest heart DID NOT fall in love with Gillian only because of her beauty, but her voice. At first, I didn't take very much notice of the group, Twins; I couldn't even distinguish the two voices, for heaven's sake! So I went to listen to the solo performances of each from the 2004 concert, and I just fell right in love with "My Father, Mother"! I went to check which Twin sang it, and it was no other than Gillian Chung! I was pretty amazed by that, because I remember of how Charlene is the one who is more recognized between the two; therefore, I assumed that Charlene must've been the one who contributes more to the songs of Twins. Knowing of how each voice sounds, I stsarted listening to Twins songs again, and I found that Gillian is the one who provides the main vocals towards the group Twins. I went on to wondering why that was the case; I didn't understand why Gillian was so underpromoted, and why Charlene was so promoted of the two. I actually started noticing her beauty after I started liking her vocals. So I give my support to Twins, but if there's any competition between the two, I've chosen to give my full support to Gillian.

Well, people who acknowledged Sa as being the more successful and popular one were influenced by the media and we all know that the media is influenced by EEG. It's all false advertisement. Ever since Twins was formed, I don't think there was ever a time when Sa had a larger fanbase than Gillian; it was always the other way around even when Sa produced more films, acted with veteran actors like Jackie Chan, Ekin, and Andy Lau, and appeared to have a bubbly personality Gillian still ranked higher.

Yeah, it must had been tough for Gillian to restrain from singing/performing her fullest vocals wise due to courtesy for Sa. Gosh, she's such a lovely person.
About the Sa fan, well all of us here at this thread witnessed how immature some Sa fans can be so I guess we will never understand their logic.
I believe Gillian did want to perform something similar to Sa's sad story since she's excellent at tears and she's been asking EEG and directors for a sorrowful romantic role ever since she succeeded in BOK. But oh well, I admire Gillian's pace during the concert because she had to jump back and forth with awesome martial arts AND sing. The most amazing part was: even with all of that running around, you would think that she was breathless and would not sing as well but gosh, she did a fantastically stunning job at that Joey song. But it would had been better if Kenny sort of dressed up too like a Ninja and cool Gillian had to protect him from assassins.
Then Kenny (like what he did earlier when he mistakened a fan's pen as a knife and immediately moved towards Gillian to defend her) blocks the flying dagger/sword for Gillian and he dies in her arms creating such a sad sonata for the audience to enjoy. Kenny stained with blood confesses his love and passion for her, Gillian cries convincingly and clings onto him tightly, while the pitch dark background sprinkles with stars of hope as both KG sing their lovely duet together for the final time under the bright moon. Haha!
A story of my own. That would had been great to watch and look forward to in the DVD but GR! I guess I'll just save my tears for Gillian when I watch Gillian's romantic sad character in the film she requested.
Gillian is probably just fed up with all of this bias treatment and knows that the days of Twins is slowly decreasing day by day since she's in the actual situation so she is aware and has begun thinking about herself for the very first time. She possibly realized that the only reason why EEG even promotes or allows her to participate in various activities, functions, and projects is because she is part of Twins so in order for Sa to continue being popular Twins must remain together. Once Twins split, EEG could choose to not promote her since she's no longer related to Sa's image. Both Twins do depend on each other. Gillian is depending on Sa for promotions from EEG while Sa is depending on Gillian for fans and publicity. So being Twins is the best choice for both because if they were to split, Sa may never gain the fanbase/popularity she needs to survive in the ET industry and as for Gillian, she may have the stable fanbase but because EEG won't promote her, she'll also gradually fade. And some fans may choose to argue that Sa has enough charm to last in the ET circle and with the promotions of EEG, she'll do just fine but one thing they're forgetting is: EEG has always been promoting Sa all along yet her popularity doesn't even match up to Gillian, someone EEG never really considered investing in. So whether Sa was to receive more promotions or not in the future, it would most likely not go anywhere because if so then Sa would had been more popular than Gillian a long time ago. Sa has worked with many stars Gillian has never worked with yet Gillian is still more well known. EEG would had never kept Gillian if Twins weren't this successful and influential in the HK market.
Ah- I do pray that if EEG purposely gives the dumb songs to Gillian and the interesting ones to Sa, the audience would hear differently; there is a God. Tastes in music vary from person to person so let's hope that EEG doesn't plan on kicking the trash to Gillian because that would stink. I mean, Gillian is already held back in films this year...so far no interesting roles have been accepted by EEG for Gillian and singing wise, we would have to wait for the solo songs to determine that.
Wow, so you're a relatively new Twins/Gillian fan well not new new but newer than me! I love that solo song of Gillian's. I think that Gillian's voice is unique. Frankly, Sa's voice is similar to Miriam's, Sammi's, Emme's, Hocc's etc. because they all possess that sort of low strong tone. It's not high like Kelly, Joey, or the mandarin singers. Personally, Gillian's voice is none of the above. It's sweet yet sorrowful, gentle yet strong, and simple yet passionate. Gillian does have a huge amount of talent/potential but she's just learning how to exploit them at the moment. At first, I didn't quite like Gillian due to boyfriend rumors. At that time, I really liked Edison so I kept wondering who Gillian Chung was since her name was constantly associated with Edison's. My dad rented the Monkey King II so I thought ok, I like Dicky, Nic is in it too along with Jimmy so figure I'll just watch a few episodes and fast foward all the nonsense stuff but when I saw Gillian who first appeared, I was like wow, she's sooo cute sweeping or guarding the entrance of Heaven if I'm not mistakened (? I don't quite remember the details). I didn't even know who she was until my friend pointed it out that the cute girl I was cheering for in MK for Jimmy was Gillian Chung. I was quite surprised but didn't care because I was already converted. I really did not like Sa and that was my very first impression without any knowledge of who she was. I thought she was trying too hard to be cute, the serial claimed her to be the prettiest goddess in Heaven when I thought what?...she's obviously not, and don't know, but I just didn't like Sa period. Then I researched and found out that Gillian and Sa were a duo named Twins, the rumors were false, and later that Gillian was being treated badly by Mani and EEG staff so I began my journey in supporting Gillian since then. Twins' music is decent and eventually, Sa became ok with me.

If the duet pulls through with the popularity, maybe they could film a music special on it! Like those music specials with storylines based on songs that are 1-2 episodes long? Hope there is another duet of them, because I could've sworn I read on an article that Kenny expressed that he and Gillian have two duets, yet a different article said one duet. 
If KG = Money, then EEG would have no such reason to turn down the money making chances by putting them together. HK fans just have to do something to show their support!! I suppose you're right about Kary's situation of alternating, but hey...... HK people always acknowledge Stephy as the group leader, but Kary's talents will definitely be able to take her farther. It's pretty much like how many people acknowledge Charlene as the more "popular" and "longlasting" one, but Gillian's talents, which are gradually being revealed now, could take her on just the same as Charlene. 
I wonder how she will react when Conscience Discovery hits the charts and KG get invited to sing on JSG.
