In terms of singing, I first heard Twins singing with Edison in the group duet "Threes A Party" (??) because at that period of time, I was still into Edison. I recognized that there were two different female voices intermixed with Edison's but couldn't detect who was who. I later discovered that the voice I enjoyed listening to belonged to Gillian. That was an energetically fast song and I completely loved how Gillian's voice glowed throughout the song. It was sweet yet fierce perfect for a fast song. I'm not discriminating against Sa but I didn't like her acting nor did I like her singing either and I couldn't be bias regards to beauty because I absolutely had no idea which voice belonged to who but turned out loving Gillian in both areas. Gillian's voice is like how Little_Purple_Bell described it, it's versatile and clear. In their Mandarin album, I couldn't even tell half of the time what Sa was singing but immediately when Gillian's voice repeated the chorus and alternated verses, I finally understood the song better due to clarity. Hm, Gillian's voice to me is very sharp, distinct, and passionately powerful. It can pierce the audience's/listener's heart because when I heard her sing Kite and Wind, Double Lost Valentines, Best Selection, Thank You For Your Love, No Tears in Moscow, and her solos My Father and Mother...my eyes immediately became watery. I loved No Tears in Moscow because Mandarin just makes Gillian's voice sweeter and more flexible especially while watching the beautiful MV, ah- my heart was so overwhelmed with bliss because this was actually the first MV I've watched that focused on Gillian more. I mean, did you guys see how many close pretty shots the camera zoomed in on Gillian?? Wha~ :yay: Another MV that I totally heart is the TVB version of LifeSaver! Not only can Gillian channel out the emotions of the song perfectly but the camera angles are awesome, capturing her true beauty.

How Bad was a nice duet. That was the very first song I heard Gillian sing without Sa. Her voice is different and adapts so well.

Well, to be honest...EEG is only using the "Jade" image reason as a vague excuse because it does sound quite logical in the beginning but if you were to examine the reason closely, it's a bunch of controlling BS. Going at this rate, don't know when we as fans will see her kiss onscreen.

Gillian easily becomes breathless because she has never been a healthy person ever since childhood. Remember how Gillian said that she used to be an extremely ill baby/child so her mom was always constantly worried? Yeah, so it's not that Gillian is a horrible singer and cannot control her respiration, she's constantly sick even as an adult plus the heavy restless work EEG demands from her all accumulates. Gillian is a strong person, even if she's sick she won't expose any symptoms or let the entire world know unlike Sa. I mean, how many times has Gillian excused herself due to being ill?? Hm, only a few times or close to none! But I'm always hearing that Sa is sick therefore that happened or whatnot.

Gillian should leave EEG because EEG is breaking apart. I think EEG's shining time is nearing an end so it would be better if Gillian embark on a solo career in an agency that truly appreciates her talents.

Sa fans are always attacking Gillian for old old reasons which only comes to show that now that Gillian has improved tremendously and getting more attention for it, they're afraid that Sa might be too overshadowed so they have to throw in useless and pointless debates to stir up the dumb reasons that support the Anti-Gillian group. Sa has messed up several times and even when she knows that she sings horrible live when yelling into the microphone, she still continues to yell perhaps believing that the audience doesn't notice it or her voice would eventually grasp the drift?? Haha! Gillian surely should have more confidence now because she's been receiving nothing but compliments from her recent live performances.

EEG are like dictators, they have no logic, no senses, or reasons. They terminate those they dislike and support those they favor. Some people mentioned that EEG are smart with their market strategies; therefore, there must be a good reason why EEG promotes Sa more of the two. Actually, EEG doesn't have market skills at all! Why? Because they believe they own the market with their heavy promotions so they can build an artist from scratch like what they've been doing all along but sorry dudes, the monopoly is nearing an end so even with expensive promotions, it's not going to successfully trick the public who influence the market anymore. Seriously, if EEG did have market strategies then would have already fully promoted Gillian because Gillian is popular as Twins and on her own. She brings tremendous profits even without the heavy promotions that are reserved for Sa and think about how much more proftis she can produce if she was given those promotions?? SO EEG only works accordingly to their own bias judgment not necessarily for money or market influences.

Uh huh, it's pretty pointless for us to continue voting if we know that there's some kind of trick or cheat to this poll of creating multiple votes. If Fiona fans were actually voting manually, then how could they raise the votes by like 50,000 every 10 minutes or so? So Gillian can just be number one in our hearts.

Gillian's voice is just so versatile; it's suitable for slow/fast or mandarin/cantonese songs. I love it when she sings in mandarin because it sounds so soft and soothing, especially in No Tears In Moscow as kawaiilala said. Her mandarin pronouncation sounds more accurate than Charlene's, though they both have made major improvements on their speaking of mandarin. Charlene threw me a huge shocker when I was listening to Samba (mandarin version of Samba Queen) when she sang "suai" instead of pronouncing it "shuai" because "shuai" means handsome, whereas "suai" means bad/nasty/jerk-like. So yeah, you get my point. At least the director of No Tears In Moscow had some sense to capture the right moments of who suited the lyrics more....

I've noticed that too! We always see these news reports about Charlene being sick, but she decided to keep on with her work. Gillian gets sick a lot more and is way more unhealthy, but Gillian seldomly says a word. I remember Gillian expressing two of her personal wishes: One was to grow taller, so she doesn't have a big height distance from other people around her and the other was for herself to be able to withstand cold temperatures because she can never withstand the coldness. Geez, I've seen both Twins screw up when singing live, but the media only reports it when Gillian screws up, wonder who's the cause of that? Charlene excuses herself from work more often; I remember there was a period of time where she hasn't been at a function with Gillian as Twins for a long time, and Joey sarcastically made a joke that Charlene's leaving the showbiz and she and Gillian are going to form another group from now on.

EEG really doesn't have marketing strategies; they just seem to have a lot of cash to back them up, and push some artist of theirs up to the top spot even though there are other artists who are just as talented or even exceed the one they are promoting. EEG could be earning a lot more than they are now if they would just give Gillian more chances and promotions. Gillian could be well off solo right now if she was the one who was accepting all the promotions and multiple chances that Charlene has. Gillian's charm makes me proud because she is able to be holding most of the fan base and popularity though she had been left with the few promotions and bad movie scripts. Conscience Discovery's gonna bring a lot to her, since it's getting so good and popular. That'll show EEG what's the right thing to do if they want more profits.

Wow! You know what I just found out?! Kary and Gillian have the same singing teacher! I've just bought Kary's new CD, and inside, she was thanking her singing teacher, Christine Samson. Earlier, Gillian expressed on a magazine interview that she was influenced to fall in love with singing once again from her singing teacher, who is also Christine Samson! Wow! There are my two favourite singers, and they're taught by the same teacher!

as for her acting, i admire her for always taking on different types of roles. even if most of them require her to fight, she still manages to make her characters unique. i was really impressed by her acting after watching beyond our ken. i hope she gets more opportunities in the future.

It can't be explained of why Charlene's fans do more insults on Gillian than Gillian's fans do on Charlene. We can't say that Charlene's fans are rude, because every idol does have some extreme fans and we can't ignore the fact that there are Charlene fans who are nice and polite too. It could be that more of Charlene's fans are more outspoken about their dislike of Gillian because of their liking of Charlene, and most Gillian fans just keep it down even though they like Gillian only.

There's only one line of Charlene in this version of mine that I couldn't get rid of. It was near the beginning where she was singing at the same time as Gillian, so I had to keep it on there. Other than that, everything else is Gillian's singing.

Gillian and Sa are good friends; they've experienced a lot together but I guess because Gillian is the older one and Sa is the only child, Gillian has to at times consider others' feelings before her's while Sa tends to be more spoiled so she has to get what she wants. Even Sa has admitted to having this type of habit in early articles. But yeah Sa should understand that times change. Gillian has a family to support. Not only does Gillian like singing and acting when given interesting roles and songs but one of her main purposes is to fulfill her duty as a filial daughter towards her family's financial obligations. Gillian cannot always stall her career just to satisfy Sa all the time.

Kary has always struck me as being a relatively decent singer. I've only listened to a few of Kary's new solo songs from my friend's mp3 player and yup, she surely has a really nice voice. I initially thought that her deep strong voice wouldn't be able to strech too high but her recent songs totally show that her voice can reach those high notes pretty well. Her solo songs are really interesting and good. Kary has matured and improved a lot from Cookies. I'm glad that she finally had an opportunity to work solo because to be honest, Stephy's voice is very fragile and at times has this type of squeaky touch to it. And she cannot perform live that well either but the majority of her popularity comes from her company's line of promotions and rumors/projects with Alex.

So does Christine Samson also instruct Sa too then since Twins tend to share staff?? I guess, Christine has really influenced Gillian for the better because Gillian just keeps improving.

Yeah, KG Fever is still high at them moment. Yup, the MV scenes definitely revived the passion of the song.

Little_Purple_Bell really has magnificent skills in producing such a professional version of Gillian's solo Kite and Wind! It sounds so real and I love Gillian singing solo especially when Kite and Wind is one of my favorite songs too.

Yep, so no one, namely Charlene fans, has any right whatsoever to blame Gillian of finally moving ahead with herself. Charlene admits that she always wants her way, and Gillian is considerate towards it. The reason that Gillian came into the showbiz is to support her family, so Charlene should understand her friend of what she's doing. Besides, Charlene had her way for five years, what's wrong with Gillian finally being able to have the chance to push herself forward after the long wait?

Kary's an awesome singer alright. She's also very lucky to have Paco believing in her, since the showbiz is more like, "You're pretty, you get the promotion", kind of deal. Paco said that everyone said that she should be the first one kicked off the group of Cookies when they went from 9 to 4, but Paco kept her and invested in her. Hats off to him! Notice how Kary's the one who's carrying off on her own from the start? Stephy and Theresa have to hang onto Alex before they could go off on their own. I just love Kary's new CD!!

Nope, Christine Samson doesn't instruct Charlene. Charlene's singer teacher is Teresa Caprio. Twins actually don't share a lot of the same instructors. They even have a different image consultant. I remember Charlene's image consultant was the one who married Raymond Wong last year, but haven't heard anything of Gillian's.


Gillian's 25. Though she was born in the year of the monkey, she was a late one close to when the year of the Chicken was about to start. I'm not quite sure of how they count it in the lunar way, but being born in 1981, Gillian is 25 years old.


I think The Legend Of Love MV just means the themevideo of the series The Legend Of Love, and not an actual MV. EEG wouldn't have been that nice to give Gillian a little promotion by letting film an MV without Charlene, in my opinion.

The MV scenes give an extra feeling of emotions while listening to the song. I love it! I really hope the full version comes out soon.

Oh, so Teresa Caprio instructs Sa. That is something I never knew before. Twins have different singing instructors which account for their different style of singing songs. I've met Teresa Caprio in person during a Chinese concert here in California. She seems energetic, dominating, and one who loves the spotlight. I'm not surprised her bits of her personality rubbed off on Sa. Some people mentioned that Teresa is a self-centered and conceited person but I never believed them until I personally met her. I mean, she won't ignore your compliments or questions but she sort of sends off this negative vibe like I'm higher than you because I can sing and entertain da da da! She is talented though. She played the piano and sang quite beautifully at the concert but her attitude needs modification.

Thank goodness for Paco then because Kary is talented even though she may not possess the pretty looks. The HK industry does need to grow in good quality artists. One certain contributing factor as to why the HK industry has sort of decreased in almost every area both films and singing is due to lack of quality.

Oh, yeah that was what I was thinking about too, the themevideo of the song because I didn't recall watching an actual MV of the Legend of Love Duet.

What I meant by that was that I hope they dont give us a short mv like the short song of the Legend of Love, because they never released the song. When I heard that Kenny was going to release a cd when he was going to go solo, I was hoping that they were going to put in the Legend of Love themesong, since they put in that Red Collusieum (dono how to spell it) into the cd. But too bad they never did, I definitely wanted and still want to listen to the full version of that song.

And the thing about Paco is that sometimes I kind of wish that he was Gillians manager. because him compared to Mani, he seems much more supportive of his artists, well at least he shows it. because if you see in the award shows, whenever his artists recieve awards and thank him, hes happy for them. But when artists under Mani get an award and they show Mani, shes shows no emotion. But I guess that may be how she is.

Um, not to be mean but based on my personal impression and experience, I think males tend to be more lenient on everything. Yeah, Paco is certainly a good manager towards Kary but Mani?? We obviously know why EEG promotes Sa more because Mani shows more favoritism towards Sa out of the two. Mani jokes, congratulates, and hugs Sa while keeping a good distance from Gillian even though Gillian always seems to mention Mani all the time and tries to build their relationship by hugging or showing some type of warm affection but Mani remains indifferent. Usually, Mani is associated more with Twins since they have more news so I don't really know how Mani acts around her other EEG artists but surely from what I've seen, doesn't seem like Mani likes or supports Gillian much. Actually, Mani is even closer to Joey than Gillian. Like sometimes when Gillian jokes about Mani or around her, Mani shows sort of a serious disgusted reaction whereas if Sa or Joey playfully joked, Mani would reply back in a jesting way. Gillian is just as humoruous as both Sa and Joey but don't understand why Mani doesn't show much appreciation towards Gillian.

Mani seems like those stubborn I know it all type of managers. She practically makes all the decisions for both Twins because she works directly with them. Sorry to say but I really dislike Mani. The way how she destroyed Steven's image by publicizing personal issues that should have remained concealed within company grounds is just cruel and we all know how Steven ended up! I'm referring to the issue of Mani revealing to the public during the breakup of Boy'z. Mani claimed that Steven was super lazy, wouldn't improve, had too many female relationships etc. I understand that some of it is true but gosh, is Steven's social issues more serious and damaging than Deep's drug case or the wave of rumors about EEG female artists?? No, not really so why the heavy penalty towards Steven? If Mani was just using these reasons to break up Boy'z then just say so! Just state that Kenny is old enough to go solo while Steven would work best as a duo. Was that statement so hard to admit!?? I felt sorry for Steven because he actually cried and apologized to Mani promising that he'll improve, work harder, and avoid rumors but Mani claimed he never said so! Like What?? Steven didn't have such an unbearable character, he actually really loved Boy'z and Kenny and was willing to change but Mani just didn't care.

This could all be a one sided story and I don't care but all I have to say about Mani is: I dislike tremendously. Is Mani back from her vacation yet?? Ah- I don't even know.

So if Twins broke apart, would Mani say bad things about Gillian too to use that as reasons??

If you observe from pictures of Mani with Twins, Mani is always closer or leaning towards Sa while leaving Gillian out to the side. I've seen some short clips of news or was it an after party celebration event where Mani and Twins were all present and seemed like Mani was having a good time goofing off with Sa while Gillian was sort of ignored. The reason why I asked if Mani has already returned from her vacation which she probably did since it's been a few weeks now is because perhaps Gillian expressed her opinions more and became more open about issues regarding her company during the past several news articles/interviews because Mani wasn't present to limit her. And plus we also have to keep in mind that these articles/interviews were probably conducted at an earlier time before releasing it to the public so Gillian's bold responses could have been exerted during Mani's vacation. I don't know, just a small speculation.

I don't think Mani has returned yet, since Char and Gill said she's going to stay there for three months...so she probably won't be back until March-April. YEAH as I've also noticed Gillian seems more open when it comes to her inner feelings when Mani is gone...so we might as well hope she'll stay there for another 2 months or so.

I think it's a good thing that Mani is gone for a few month...she sometime irritated me a lot! Gillian seems more "open" while Mani is not here and she seems so be doing more activities too!

That'd be really cool if Joey was also instructed by Christine! Seeing who Christine teaches, we can probably interpret that she's a good teacher/singer! I wonder if Charlene and Gillian have a different singing teacher to preserve different styles of singing?

As to how Charlene was probably influenced by her teacher, Teresa Caprio, of the whole "Look at me! Look at me!" attitude on stage that kawaiilala mentioned, I could see how Teresa would practically be munching the microphone down while singing, but Charlene? Charlene doesn't, at the moment at least, have a big, strong, overcoming voice like Teresa does while singing. It's not her fault that her teacher's ways have rubbed off on her, but shouldn't she herself kinda know whether she's suitable for that kind of performance (screaming into the microphone) and be acclaimed for being loud = singing well?

I wish Gillian would just leave EEG and join Gold Label. Paco is a way better manager than Mani is. Paco's equal to everyone under his management; he believed in Kary when everyone thought she was going to fail in a snap, and Kary's up and standing right now. He actually took time off to choose a themesong for Kary's debut album (With A Boy Like You); we don't see Mani doing any of that. Paco gave chances/jobs to each of the Cookies after they broke up. Kary just released her single album and is still working on the Ping Pung album, Stephy released her album last year and is starting to receive more movie roles, Theresa gave a shot at a duet song with Alex and made her way into the commercial filming, and Miki got more movie roles. None of the four girls were ever left out in the dust. When we look at EEG groups, we can all see where the regroup landed Steven. Mani's simply biased; like kawaiilala said, how is Steven having many rumours and being lazy at times worse than Deep getting involved with drugs?! Artists can't control having rumours or not, and I'm sure everyone has their lazy times, or we don't even know if Mani's making all this stuff up or not. She probably simply likes Deep more than Steven. Steven barely has anything to do anymore; he got about two movie roles, one song with the new Boy'z, and the EEG version of Jewel In The Palace. The only recent exposures he got was from filming "49 Days" with Gillian and attending Gillian's birthday party. Now that we brought it up, maybe it's not even EEG in general that's standing in Gillian's way of expanding her career, maybe it's just Mani and her favouritism. She always makes Gillian look all negative too; like in that book she published about events with that happened all the EEG artists, she wrote that Gillian was begging to go to the Aaron Kwok concert (Aaron Kwok is one of Gillian's idols) and started crying because Mani said no and she should be practicing for the upcoming concert tours in Australia. Then Mani generously let her go to see half of it. Then there was Charlene's event that she was so cute for saving up ketchup for Mani to cook her famous recipe or something like that?

If Gillian can be more expressive when Mani's not here, then I wouldn't mind if Mani does take a longer vacation than three months. Gillian should just not feel pressured by Mani; it's not like Mani could run up on stage and stop the performance if Gillian decided to project her voice as it should, but then again, Mani could might as well give her a hard time backstage or put her in timeout. Bottom line is, EEG artists should get a new manager who's more like Paco instead of Mani, who's stubborn enough to continue with all the promotions towards Charlene when Gillian could use some promotions at the same time.

Yeah, no break up anytime soon. Twins have said themselves that they won't break up. They'll do other things like movies and ads seperately but they will always sing together...well that's what they implied. And since they do everything but sing seperately now anyway then there should be much change this year.

So have you completed reading Mani's Autobiography yet?? Well, duh! Isn't it so obvious that if Gillian cried for such an event, it must really mean something to her and for Mani to forbid Gillian from attending when Aaron is her ultimate idol is just cruel. How much does Mani want Twins to practice?? You can only practice and train your vocals for a few hours before they reverse the quality and may even lead to damage!! Mani probably assumed that undedicated and lazy Gillian was dodging practice for pleasure when Hello, reality check?! Gillian has been working diligently ever since Twins was formed and just to ask for a small request like attending a rare concert especially during the evening when Twins already spent the entire day practicing, is definitely not too much to ask for! And why only half? Since Gillian was already there anyways, mind as well allow her to fully enjoy the occasion without the pressure of rushing. Seriously, didn't Mani sympathize for Gillian at all when Gillian broke down with sorrowful tears? Or did Mani purposely want to shatter Gillian's spirit and all that for just half a show?? Then mind as well just say NO rather than pulling Gillian out at a time of bliss at the concert. Just from reading the different moods and situations Mani describes Gillian and Sa, it's so evident that Mani adores Sa while detests Gillian.

And the new Boy'z? Whatever happend to their album they traveled all the way to Japan to improve their vocals and record some songs?? Whoa, what a ghost album that is! And that piece of news already publicized like so many months ago; shouldn't their album be ready by now?? I sympathize for Steven so much! Steven was actually so excited to be granted an opportunity to help his family's financial obligations and business while in Boy'z but now, his plans have been ruined by Mani's silly biases. Steven and Kenny shared so much chemistry together and whenever they meet now, I can sense their broken relationship and they seem to miss each other so much yet cannot utter a word.

Gillian can't disobey Mani or else Mani being the manager will freeze her. I mean, Gillian is already as great as can be towards Mani yet Mani still doesn't promote nor support Gillian and if Gillian was to disobey Mani whether it be in an interview, concert, or function ...can you imagine what would result of Gillian?? All I know is something horrible! EEG hired people like themselves: stubborn, judgmental, and dictating.


Yeah, it's so obvious that EEG/Mani are Pro-Sa! That was actually the root of our growing discussions in previous pages because our concerns were sort of coming true but hopefully and I pray that Gillian will achieve solo success, popularity, and acceptance from all angles of the globe.

If you click back to previous pages, we all actually have strong evidence, observations, and arguments that EEG/Mani in fact is bias towards Gillian for apparently no reason at all! As for her TW serial, so far filming has already begun like a month ago but there are no news regarding Gillian yet because the crew is currently filming the older generation first then it'll introduce the main generation which includes Gillian's character. Some cast stars haven't been confirmed yet but so far Nie Yuan as the male lead, Ady An as the female lead, and Gillian as Ching Ling So have all been confirmed! There are some minor characters and famous stars who are also guest starring too.


Even though I at times can't help but be upset at Sa for just going with the bias flow and not directly defending Gillian towards the unfair treatment when their relationship consists of a sisterhood bond, I still support the idea that Twins remain as together. They are stronger together. Having solo songs in their new albums is fine, it's a sign of growth but they don't have to break apart just to sing solo songs!

But because we already know how EEG manages their artists, most likely Twins will split in the near future even though they deny it now but I believe that deep down, both Twins can sense the nearing end of Twins because they both need to move on onto more serious projects separately and individually.

Therefore, I am building my support for Gillian and gathering those who also love Gillian so that one day if Twins were to officially split, Gillian would already have a pack of Gillian Fans to fall back on for support at one of her most vulnerable situations as she isn't sure who which Twins fan will choose to further their support because to be honest, Twins fans will eventually choose one or the other given the competition and circumstances. I cannot see Gillian fall or be troubled without extending a helping hand to my fullest ability!

Twins just recently performed at Andy Lau's mini concert as guests and you know what is extremely upsetting? Sa publically kissed Andy on the lips! And I don't care how huge of a star figure Andy is in HK, the fact is: the kiss wasn't part of a movie script so it wasn't even necessary and WHY?? How can Sa just kiss male artists like that when Gillian is STILL RESTRICTED from kissing onscreen??!! I mean, Gillian's small quick peck on the cheek was cut out for crying out loud in 49 Days!!!

What does this imply??!! So Sa can basically share a kiss with anyone of her co-stars outside of filming now?? Seriously, this is infuriating!

About the manager issue...I never really thought about Mani much but after reading all the posts I think Mani has the most power for everything that goes on with Twins!! EEG just seems like just a disguise/scapegoat for what Mani is doing. I saw a feel pictures of Mani, and I thought she look intimadating. 'I wouldn't be sure if I would want to be so close to her. I'm sure Gillian is gets intimadated too and especially since Mani doesn't like her that much. You just wonder how badly she might show/treat Gillian! She might just be as scary in appearance as in action and expression...

I think Paco is a really good manager too!! He has a good judgement and really supportive of his atrists. A lot the people under him is famous and have talented. Have you notice, the singers under Paco will always mention and thanks Paco when they get an award but how many times have you heard atrists under Mani show their appreciation of Mani?? That says alot to me...They forget about her when they are on stage showing their gratidude!!

EEG/Mani should learn how to be considerate to their artists. If they've decided to form a group of TWO people named TWINS, then they should treat them as if they were one. But I'd figure they were bright enough to know that without Gillian, Charlene wouldn't have more than half of the support that she has now. They simply using Gillian to promote Charlene. Gillian's nearly more popular everywhere; I know she's more accepted in Taiwan, and I've read from a HK citizen's message online that almost her whole class likes Gillian more or only likes Gillian. She seems to be more popular here in Canada where I am too. I remember a radio channel in Vancouver invited her for an interview once. You know, I always thought that Charlene made more money than Gillian, but I found that I was wrong. Gillian made about thirty six million last year while Charlene made thirty four/five million, giving Twins a profit of seventy million. I found that I was the only one surprised at that. I told my friend that and she was like, "Why are you surprised? I'm not. Gillian's so much better in acting." I told my dad the same thing and he was like, "You think that's astounding or something? Charlene's roles are always the same, no surprise at a higher salary for Gillian." I felt like an idiot when I heard both of them and realized how right they were!

Well..... Mani isn't THAT bad towards Gillian, I guess. It's still not as good as she treats Charlene. In Mani's autobiography, there was only one negative thing on Charlene. Mani made a contrast on how Twins react towards injuries while filming for movies. She said that Gillian appears really strong towards her injuries and doesn't say much about it and Mani just brings her to the doctor, whereas Charlene does a lot of whining about injuries and told Mani that she doesn't want to accept roles in any fighting drama, and only wants scripts from the romance genre. Mani also helps Gillian and her mom get together more. Gillian doesn't like drinking soup very much, so Mani tells her that she made the soup and tells Gillian to drink it and Gillian obeys. Of course, after a positive thing, Mani goes on telling about Gillian making mistakes. Mani said she wasn't pleased with Gillian because she went out with Yumiko at night. , Gillian had to write a thousand word essay to Mani for her to forgive her, whereas it's "cute" for Charlene to be calling people, including Mani, in the middle of the night to ask if she looked good today. Her supposed "first impressions" on Twins weren't too good for Gillian either. Mani said that she didn't think Gillian was very pretty when she first saw her, and her singing wasn't very good. It's just that she just wanted to give her some more chances, and found that she had more improvements in her singing, so they took her. For Charlene, Mani thought she would be well-accepted by the audience at first sight. Charlene was tested on her singing, but she went off-key. Mani expressed that it was okay because anyone would have moments like that and just can't project their whole voice. (*ahem* Shouldn't she be saying that about Gillian of how she's putting her voice down to support Charlene?)

Kenny and Steven do seem like they miss each other a lot as partners! We can just see at any events that they're fortunate enough to attend together, they always stand by each other. Steven and Kenny stayed close to each other during the TVB Singers' Anniversary, just as they were in Boy'Z. They were also having fun with each other during this time when they went water-skiing together at a function. Dennis was kinda left alone though......

Like I've said before, if break up Twins means making Gillian follow Steven's footsteps, then they might as well stay together. I wouldn't mind solo songs though, because I just love hearing Gillian sing solo. I agree about that; I'm sure both Twisn know what their company does to each of them, and if the company loves Charlene so much, then she'd probably have says in things. It wouldn't kill her to speak up for Gillian for once about this issue. Whenever Twins do something against their company's rules, Gillian gets the blame for it. There was this one time where Charlene stayed over at Gillian's house because they wanted to talk to each other some more and they didn't tell Mani about it, Mani, as expected, gave Gillian a lecture about having Charlene stay over at her house afterwards. How reasonable is that?

I hope Gillian fans would be more supportive of Gillian, especially in HK, because maybe things could actually swap for Gillian if we could make a miracle happen.

Yep, Charlene kissed Andy on the lips. From what I've heard, Charlene actually did in surprise; even Andy didn't expect that. Afterwards, Andy turned to Gillian and asked, "Do you want a kiss too?" Gillian had this lost look on her face, so Andy just went over to give her a hug instead.

I think we should write more emails to EEG regarding this issue. It kinda worked last time. I remember writing an email in to ask them to film a MV for Conscience Discovery, and after a bit, they did film one. Gillian's also starting to come out into the spotlight this year as well, so things are slightly getting better, not much, but it's a good start. It also may be that they know that there are many protests out there about biased issues, and they've gotta put on a good show though Charlene is more favoured in the company.

My Gosh!! I really find the idea of Charlene kissing Andy really disgusting..no offence..but I guess if she HAD to do it for a movie or something then it's fine, but why would you just randomly kiss someone like that?? Hm, the overall salary...that is something new to me too! I'm amazed Gillian actually produced more profits especially when Sa was being featured in almost every magazine issue with her co-stars last year and everyone is always mentioning how Sa's price for films is higher than Gillian's. So that probably explains why people have a miscalculation and misperception that Sa makes more than Gillian when last year just proved that Gillian still made more even though she was limited and restricted in many areas.

Mani, oh she is wicked and cunning. She probably only mentioned a few positive deeds she helped Gillian with just to convince the audience that she's actually nice to Gillian but forcing Gillian to eat soup is not showing concern. If Gillian doesn't like eating soup then a don't like is a don't like, what is so difficult to understand! I know that soup is healthy but soup isn't the only thing that is nutritional. If Gillian doesn't like to eat then find something else to substitute, why obligate Gillian to drink it when she feels like vomiting at the sight! Gillian is being too considerate of Mani's feelings, that's why even though she dislikes drinking soup she still has to swallow it down to please Mani because Mani personally cooked it herself.

Oh yeah, the thing about Charlenes image thing is that I remember her first ever movie, Heroes in Love (?), she already had this part where she had sex with someone, so she already didnt have that 'pure image' anymore since the start of her movie career since she already went to that level in her first movie. That could be a reason in why Charlene isnt so restricted. But thats still not fair since they are 'twins' so if Charlene doesnt have to carry the pure image than Gillian shouldnt have to either. People have been complaining about the bias treat of EEG. Some also realise that it's always Charlene who has a few more lines in songs. During the time where Gillian practically disappeared because Charlene had two movies out, people were also complaining then. However, there has not been a proper thread about this issue. I think it's mainly because at forums, such as twinsfans.net, the thread will just get deleted.
I've seen ONE person complain about the fact that it's always Charlene that gets to kiss people. Actually, from most of the Chinese sites I've visited, quite a few of the fans don't want Gillian to be kissing anybody; eventhough it's going to restrict the roles she can play in movies.
This is what EEG has done. If Gillian was allowed to kiss sooner, people would have accepted it more easily. Now, people just don't seem to want to see her acting an intimate scene - they claim they will be uncomfortable seeing it, which is just selfishness.
I was watching Scoop the other night and the hosts of the show were like: "Most companies restrict their artists from dating, but Gillian is restricted from kissing." or something like that. To be honest, Gillian is about the only artist, worldwide, I know to have this restriction. Vivian Chow has always been regarded as a 'Jade Girl' and I don't even think she had been restricted.

There was an interesting topic at twinsfans.net, asking "Why do you think Gillian still hasn't given out her onscreen kiss yet". I find it unbelieveable that quite a few people voted "because Gillian doesn't want to" I mean, do they not read the news?!

Although both are Twins forums I find that people at these sites are more supportive of Gillian.
They haven't really complained about Gillian not being allowed to kiss, but there was a thread about Charlene singing too loudly, covering Gillian's voice. The majority of people agreed, but two people said that it was because Gillian sings too quitely and so her voice isn't able to reach the microphone, whilst Charlene's singing is just normal.

About the Charlene and Andy kissing thing. I find that it was completely unnecessary. We can guess what the headlines are going to be tomorrow.


I find that Charlene's roles in movies are the same as well. It was incredible to see fans actually coming up with different descriptions of Charlene's characters in movies in denial to this fact. I remember watching an interview for TTEII and Charlene said something about asking the Martial Arts director to change a few of the moves so that it would look more cute (correct me if I'm wrong on this).

Wow, was that really Mani's first impression of Gillian? Even Charlene said that Gillian was pretty back then. I've heard Mani say that Charlene and Joey wasn't very pretty when she first met them.
I've read that part about Yumiko too! And Mani said something about wanting to give up on Gillian because she didn't listen to what she said (Gillian said in an interview that, before, she wasn't allowed to go out after 12:00am). The first thing that came to my mind was, wasn't Charlene and Boy'z caught together in a taxi after going to sing karaoke together after work? I didn't see Mani saying anything about that! Maybe it's just Gillian's restriction again! Mani doesn't seem to realise that Gillian can have a life after work! I'm starting to wonder how Gillian was treated after she went to that party with Angela Chang in Taiwan...

i never heard about the gillian and yumiko thing. can someone tell me about it? why does charlene always want to be cute? does she always want all the fame? she wants to be like this? thats like gay? i mean whts her parents like rich or something?

Yup...Charlene is rich. I heard her dad helps EEG before they had some money problems. I'm not sure about now but I heard people said her dad kind of part of EEG, like he somewhat have a say in EEG decisions.

If the part of Charlene asking to change her fight moves to be cuter...I guess the part where she IS acting cute is true and there's no arguing that she is trying to be cute and not that her personality IS cute!! I never really thought she is acting cute because everyone keeps saying that's her personality so I guess I thought the same as them but now I dunno...

saying that charlene dad helped EEG makes more sense why EEG promote charlene more. caz of her dad and her background. shes a rich girl. promote her more the more money they get
