$100!! That's a LOT for a drama! I bought Top of the Forbidden City for like $50 and it included a bonus disc with a 'Making Of..' I've never spent more than $60 for an idol drama. I love KOne, 5566 and 183 Club so I'd spend a lot of money for their series =). I think this drama is worth buying though. TOTFC's plot and acting is very impressive and I've seen my share of bad plots and bad acting in other idol dramas.

i saw this for sale in the store for like $22 but i think its vcd lol and the torrents are NOT hard to find, its just that there's no seeders, ive tried dl-ing it before, and its not even correct? its like the next episode isn`t even enxt or what happened in the previous episode, and if anyone is looking for this series in desperate need, i am selling it for like $15w/shipping or trade for blanks

oh the one i saw in the store, it might not have bonus copy cos it looks weirder? its mostly chinaversion? like the ones that has simplified chinese instead of traditional or whatvers. mine dont got bonus, mine is tv-rmvb.

over here.. i saw them.. and they were like.. 50 bucks for volume 1.. and the other half was another 50.. so 100 all together.. not mentioning tax. so this series is quiet expensive~ :s worth buying tho.. just wish the cover was a bit better looking. didn't like the style of their hair. lol. well.. only qing tian's i guess...

I bought the drama and in my opinion, it was worth every penny. Fresh plot and acting was great for KOne's debut idol drama. You should be really impressed with JR's acting. So talented for the tender age of 19 (20 next month!).

Hey Snowie, It's not a new series at all actually. It's aired summer 2004 in Taiwan (I'm not too sure where it is right now). But yes, it's very good, especially if you're into dancing.

i was able to find ONE ep of this series and it happened to be the ending. hahahaha. maybe because i didn't see the whole thing but it seemed kinda dorky to me. i love KOne and all but the plot (from what i could get from the last ep) didn't seem that interesting. i'm sure its because i didn't watch the whole thing but watching the last ep turned me off big time.

please don't read this and view it as my reccomendation not to watch the series... i have NOT seen the series so don't go assuming i know what i'm talking about. hahahahaha

can anyone tell me what happened before Xiao Ying starts working at the studio where Royal dances? i never got to see previous episodes, and does anyone know which episode this is?

um.. she and tian xie kinda moved closer i guess... she watches him practice dancing.. than one day.. while she was mopping the floors, they told her to go out because they were practicing dancing on this small stage.. so she took her bucket away... but there felt behind water a bit. when i think fire went on.. he was quiet mad so i guess he jumped quiet hard while he was on it which made the screw losen up... after when fire was on.. he fell because of the screw and than he slipped on the water that xiao ying left behind... so he sprained his ankle.

monica wanted to fire xiao ying.. but i think she still stayed at the studio and worked there. one day.. she got locked in this storage room... and gino heard her and went in to save her [while his foot was still sprained].. but the door closed on them.. they were stuck there for quiet a long time.

oh ya.. gino also told xiao ying about his old girlfriend that past away.. than xiao ying said that she knew her.

i'm trying to think what else happened. lol... and plz.. if i do make any mistakes while explaining.. plz correct me those that have watched it.. because i kidna forgot~ xp this was a while ago.. lol... especially the dancing on stage part.. but gino did fall and slipped because of the water.

I haven't watched this drama yet, heard it's really good, so I think I'll give it a try I read the synopsis of this drama, and found out that QQ in the beginning was with JR, but then she left him and ended up with Gino...but then at the end, it said something about Gino then rejected her and she was heartbroken, did QQ go back to JR after that?

The girl who died is Tian Xie’s girlfriend, Yue Yue. Because Tianxie wanted leave Taiwan for America (I am not sure which country as I have not watch it yet.) to get the dancer badge which was given to the top dancer in every three years (I think.) and Yue Yue did not wanted him to go so she tried to persuade him but he was bent on leaving so Yueyue was too upset that she crossed the road without looking and got into an accident.

Also, to answer your last question: Yes, Qing Tian (JR)’s mom (Monica) is Tian Xie (Gino)’s teacher. Qing Tian was abandoned by Monica 20 years ago. I am not sure of the reason but I believe it was because of dancing.

If I remember it correctly, it was hei zi [Li Yang] who overheard the conversation between Fire and someone else I forgot [but I remember the person's someone else in their royal group]. Fire and this other person were talking about how they found out that Qing Tian was Monica's long lost son.

I don't know why but as soon as hei zi heard about it, he ran off and Fire couldn't catch him. Apparently, he was telling Qing Tian about it so yeah... when he knows about it he was sorta angry cause of the fact that his mom has abandoned him before and he was questioning rethorically why his mom came back after all these years.

After that little misunderstanding between Monica and Qing Tian there was this event where the mean mafia make a scene, they wanted the ZJZD right... there was an incident happening when Fire was trying to give him the fake ZJZD he's got. The others thought he was giving the real one so they went to catch Fire and the bad guy.

During the process, Monica was hurt. She injured her leg because of helping Qing Tian when he was attacked by the bad guy's people. It resulted in her, not being able to walk. Let alone dancing. So yeah... after that Qing Tian shows his appreciation to his mom and give her recognition as his mom.

was this series good? like plot wise. i already love the cast but i don't want to watch it just because i love them. i really don't like bad stories. Bad stories makes me hate the characters and i don't want to hate KOne and 5566.

yeah i thought the characters made it tolerable!

i rarely stop watching shows half way no matter how awful & so i persisted thru the 1st few, which i thought were a tad weird. all that dance-fighting takes some getting use to! but it definately picked up speed & was way more entertaining as it progressed!

i hired mine otherwise i would ship it up there to u =(

YAY! I finally got to watch this drama!

I'm not gonna say much because I'll just be rambling on and on ' But this is actually a great drama indeed Gino, JR, QQ and Sam did a great job portraying their roles, and the other casts were quite good too. As for the chemistry, all I can say is that QQ and Gino are sooooo cute! They definitaly make such a cute couple! as for QQ and JR, I know that more people like them together, and after watching this drama, I can understand why u people would feel that way but I reckon they are just better off as good siblings, because there really is not much "love" chemistry between them, just "brother-sisterly" chemistry. But there is definitaly something between QQ and Gino's character which is certainly more than just friends Now I don't know who I like more to be paired up with QQ; Gino or Zax? Maybe both equally! I kinda think JR on the other hand might be a good match with Nancy (the girl who played 'Aki')
U know, after watching this drama, I love Gino even MORE now! He is just soooooooooo H.O.T in here! I practicully DROOL every time he appears on the screen! I don't really like QQ's character very much, I prefer her character in 'Mr Fighting' more...and Sam's character 'Fire' was really annoying! But I liked him towards the end

One thing though...the poster is kinda misleading; I mean, with QQ clinging onto JR and all; people will get the wrong idea ' and that certainly worked on a friend of mine when I went shopping with her the other day...we went to this video store and we both bought the dvd, she is a huge JR fanatic and since on the cover, QQ was very close to JR, she thought that they both were paired up in the drama and got all excited, but of course QQ was actually paired up with Gino ' and boy was she pissed when she realized the truth! ' She was so furious and disappointed! ' Not that I personally have a problem with the cover of course, but it's certainly misleading, and even if it doesn't bother me...the reality is, it certainly will bother some other people ' '

Overall, great drama...it wasn't as good as I had anticipated though, but I'm still happy that I watched it, and I'm also glad that I bought the dvd so I can continue watching it I give this drama 7/10
