Mike He and Rainie Yang to Prepare for Thespic Challenge

Chai Zhi Ping expressed yesterday in a phoned interview about the confirmation of one of the next series she is to produce. Its working title “Exchange Love” is to star Mike He, one of Taiwan’s hottest heartthrobs and Queen of Cute, Rainie Yang. Rigorous preparations are started even this early and cast selections are done with great specificity. This series is set to air early 2008 and Chai mentions this will be financed very well with a hefty budget to ensure the pleasure of fans with a drama with good quality.

The plot revolves around two extremely opposite individuals, a handsome rich yet rude playboy and a hyperactively cunning steamed buns vendor. The two meet at an unexpected encounter and the guy ends up insulting the girl peddler angering the gods. On the other hand, this girl who works 3 odd jobs forever prays to experience the rich life. The gods take action after their fateful cross of destiny and the girl and guy wake up the next morning with their bodies switched. The story proceeds with the two of them trying to adjust on each other’s life as they slowly learn to help each other into getting back to their own physicality. With the guy being betrothed for business matters and the girl still harboring love for her sister’s boyfriend, will they get through it?

Chai exclaimed yesterday about her great effort to persuade both Mike and Rainie to this project seeing the very complicated script. Both of the main leads were in great doubt if they could pull the scenario off in a serious drama, particularly Mike.

“Rainie was okay with it, though she was a little uneasy. She likes the challenge it brought. But Mike was seeing what great a risk it is to accept this role. The series does have them in opposite personalities about 70% of the story, we thought he would reject it but he saw the unpredictability in it and went for it anyway. He is really going to do his best to make this one good.”

It is one of the first times that a switcheroo romantic-comedy is to be done in a Taiwanese idol drama and with Rainie and Mike to lead the cast, Chai says she is quite confident that it will turn out to be positive despite the loopholes it could bring.

sometimes I don't get these two. they go out of their way to say that they are not a couple, but then flirt with each other whenever they are on a show together. Maybe they are together in real life but can't tell because they are both raising stars? They may make fun of each other when they are on the same show, but they also always apologize to each other after finish making fun of each other.he also always praises her when ever he is asked about her on other shows he is on alone.

example: the July 31,2006 Guess 3X show. why would Rainie ask Mike's co-star if the male actors were mean to her when she was doing MARRY ME and then look at Mike as if she wanted to make sure he was well behaved such as a girlfriend wanting to be sure that her boyfriend was on his proper conduct. Also when they were saying WHY to each other on Part C of the show the way he said it back to her does not sound like a regular friend. Plus the rumors of them together have been going on for more then 2 years. even before they were in DBY. Mike have also recently said that from now on he will not get to know his leading ladies personally. Mike is also the only guy Rainie has stated that they might have a chance together in th future.

As for that guy Yuan who plays Ahmeng's friend I don't think Rainie and him are together in real life.There togetherness and comments to the press looks staged. Maybe Rainie and him are in the same management company or something and since he is a newbie and haven't done anything since DBY they ask Rainie to help him get some "publicity" so people would know who he was.

Will only time will tell if Rainie and Mike are really together.

Omg, omg omg, I think the same thing when I watch those scenes -- thks for putting them up --. Omg, Rainie and Mike are so so soooooo cute together. So far, I heard the rumors that while they were working in DBY, Rainie got a crush on Mike. Yet, after watching these, it seems more like Mike can't stop hitting on Rainie, lol.
Oh yeah, b4 saying this, I have to say that I totally don't understand Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) at all. I'm Vietnamese, so please don't mind me if I interpret what I saw (rather than heard) in a completely wrong direction, lol. Everyone starts to tease them again , u go guys. And I think Rainie said "no/nothing/no way" or something (her reaction is so cute, I kept playing that part over and over), but then it seems like Rainie got a little frustrated with all the teasing. Still, Mike kept right on teasing her as he said back "why, why, why" (his voice sounds totally sexc that part, lol). I was like . Rainie can't stop smiling and the audience went all bizard. Mike must really want to see Rainie's smile. They're so cute. Too bad, Rainie made a straight face and they had to move on to the the next girl.

This is the "Express Boy" Guess Guess Guess show. Jacky ask Aya to interview Mike but Rainie volunteered herself to interview Mike. Jacky then started making fun of them by telling Mike that Rainie wants him.
