In the middle, there are management which is the barrier and constantly reminds them they are idol and shouldn't have this kind of rumours... For Rainie, she know Mike before Roy... therefore, could Roy be the shadow of Mike? It is ironic because Roy have to give up on Rainie because he have to choose between career, sport and rainie....... DBY could be a successful series because it did not try to promote or persuade people to watch but it naturally attracts the audience.... thats the most special part of the series. Soemhow i cant help but imagine other actors and actresses in the series.... will the effect as good as MIKERAINIE? what if the male lead is Roy instead of Mike?

i think if roy was the lead male, there is a possibility that it will still do good...because just like what u said, de actor became popular because of the character of 'ah meng' since dat character is so popular in the series, there are even guys in real life who try to inpersonate his character! so if roy was to play 'ah meng' he'll probably get popular too.

i know some people who have watched the first few eps, and unfortuntely, they all don't have very positive comments on it...i guess the beginning isn't very good...some of my friends who watch the first eps have stopped watching it, they told me that it wasn't good ...i guess i won't watch it then...besides, i dislike xwl...

I'm one of those who watched a few episode of EB.... and i think i cant bear to watch it because it simply not my taste...... At first i thought it should be good and wanna give it a try since there are lots of anticipation and promotions going on...... but somehow it is not as good as it appear to be..... quiet dissapointing series for me to watch...... i think one of the weak point of the series is that the storyline is a bit complicated and unattractive...... Well, i think i would continue to watch the series if the female lead is Rainie... haha. With that, i probably more interested with Naughty Kiss of BZYC & AC than EB........

Favourite couple in DBY, Rainie and Mike reunited again in Rainie’s ‘Li Xiang Ching Ren, despite the rumours.

In the MV, Rainie is as a member of ballet club whilst Mike is the head of photograph club – he accidentally took a photograph of Rainie when she’s dancing and fell in love (or had a feeling on her) – a beautiful and romantic story.

In one scene, Rainie got hurt when practicing her ballet. Mike need to carry a walking stick with one hand, and another hand carrying Rainie and camera – very ‘man’. Once finished with the shooting however, Mike told Rainie ‘I think you get fatter, I almost can’t run/carry you’ Rainie pout her small mouth and said ‘How can, I already lost 4 kg during the album promotion. It’s you who don’t have the energy ba’ hahaha LOL

wah! yeah, they sure do pressure vicbie, hope that wont happen to MR. remember that ugly rumor before they've even started working together in DBY. that really wasnt a good start for the filming but im glad they got over the rumor and awkwardness.

Due to the fans’ request, Qi Yue & Jiang Meng reunite, Mike’s the male lead in Rainie’s MV, Rainie also revealed her ballerina skills of 11 years which in turn causes her body to ache all over, Mike rushed to and fro from south to west, Rainie did her rehearsals at midnights to present beautiful ballerina moves in the MV.

Due to too many fans’ overwhelming response to request Mike to be the male lead in Rainie’s MV, the record company succumbed to the requests and especially asked Mike to be the male lead in Rainie’s latest “Ideal Lover” MV for Qi Yue and Jiang Meng to re-appear on screen once again after “Devil Beside Me” has finished its run and to fulfill everyone’s fantasy.

Rainie even showed off her ballerina skills which she has learnt for 11 years in the MV for the 1st time, however as she has not danced for 6 years, she was aching all over after the shoot and had to continue her schedule until 4 days later when she went for a full body massage to relieve the aches.

As the response to her No. 1 album “Ai Mei” has been overwhelming, she has became the little queen of autograph sessions and in the schools, there were always fans professing “I love you” where ever she goes and the overwhelming response for Mike to be in her MV, the company felt the fans’ wishes and decided that Mike’s the one and in the fans’ point of view, immediately asked Mike to cameo in her third single “Ideal Lover” as the male lead.

In order to film this romantic MV, both went through difficulties; Rainie’s schedule was so packed that she has to rehearse with the dance instructor after midnight in order to have the perfect performance on screen, while Mike has to rush from the south to Yang Ming Shan to shoot the MV, after filming he has to rush back immediately for his filming which was quite tough.

The popular drama “Devil Beside Me”’s little couple, Rainie and Mike, irregardless of their rumors, reunite in Rainie’s new single “Ideal Lover”.

In the MV, Rainie showed her ballerina moves whom’s a member from the ballerina society while Mike’s the president of the photography society whom accidentally photographed Rainie’s dancing moves and falls in love with her, the storyline’s romantic.

However, in one scene Rainie was hurt and had to rely on crutches, Mike has to hold the crutches in one hand and had to carry Rainie with the other and had to carry the camera, which was very manly, however in the next scene, Xiao Mei can’t resist and blurted out, “You seem to have put on weight, I can’t seem to carry you.” Rainie whom was mad after hearing Mike's comments, puckered up her lips and replied, “How can that be, I’ve lost 4kg due to the album promotional schedule, obviously you are the one who’s weak!”

Rainie and Mike, this on-screen couple, after “Devil Beside Me” continued their romance in Rainie’s “Ideal Lover”. When Mike appeared previously in Rainie’s autograph session, he promised that he would make a cameo appearance in Rainie’s MV, he kept his promise, however even though he promised to make a cameo due to their friendship, the ‘price’ of friendship seems to be higher, even though they are good friends, there’s still a line to be drawn between work and friendship.

OMG, i cant believe the sacrifices they had just to have the MV shoot! i'm so happy the sony bmg decided to give us, the fans, what we want to see. geez, that image of rainie on mike's back kept appearing on my sight and i cant really help but feel super excited over rainie's new vid! wah!

Finally got a chance to watch the first two episodes of Express Boy. Unbiased review (lol hope it's not biased as I support Mike ) :
I think EB is of a different league and can't be compared with DBY. The storyline is more serious (in a way, as there are actually quite a lot of funny scenes), realistic and a bit darker (in a sense that there are fighting scenes, fire, etc - this part is similar with The Outsider). There are love scenes but clearly the emphasis is not on this (at least for now). I know quite a lot of peepz dont really like HWL but I think she act ok in this series. Chemistry-wise, Mike and Rainie is better (one of the best chemistry on-screen that I've seen in fact ^ ^), but Mike and HWL chemistry is not bad. It's a different type of chemistry - more like a more mature girl & guy (although Die Nan can act really childish in front of her heehee ). The other casts are not too bad, the one who acted as Jing Kang in Love Contract is funny and Lung Yan is not bad either.

I watch it with no expectations (I've been citing myself not to put any before watching it), so I actually find it nice and it doesn't disappoint me. The storyline is quite entertaining and funny especially when Mike is interacting with HWL... you can see how smitten he is just by looking at his eyes - his eyes said it all. I respect Mike as I think he dares to try different roles... from the more serious Ken in Love Contract, the cool Ah Meng in DBY to the humorous Die Nan in EB. He's willing to let go of his 'idol look' in EB... of because he's still very handsome and cute, but he does a lot of silly-cute scenes - not all idols would do that as it may 'destroy' their cool image ^ ^ Haven't watched it yet, but heard that he even sings in episode 5 (errr for those who don't know, Mike's voice is NOT recommended at all hahaha)

Those who love DBY and romantic comedy series might not readily accept stories like EB. But I think it is good and you might want to give it a try. Just don't compare it with DBY (that’s the thing, its so difficult not to put any as the release date is the next day after DBY – I gave a week off before watching EB as I know I will unconsciously compare it with DBY and Mike-Rainie pairing if I watch it straightaway) as you will be disappointed if you make a straight comparison - afterall it's a different type of series and different role






Haha so happy as well to hear the newz of Mike & RAinie together , they're really cute - but from the way they interact to each other, they seriously are more suitable as very very good friend... the type who can joke around and talk endlessly to each other Being a good friend is good since friends can be forever, as for lover if there's a rift or break-up, it will be very awkward Looks like the MV is going to be really beautiful... Hahah I am being greedy but how good it is if they can shoot more MV together (heard taht Rainie is going to shoot at least 6 MV for the album- dunno whether the info is reliable)

u know what? i'm noticing that people r starting to compare DBY with EB, just like how people are comparing MG with Mars! It's so similar circumstance; both MG and DBY are light comedy love series, while EB and Mars are a more darker and sofisticated series. I have watched abit of EB, and I think it started out quite ok, but I'm having doubts it will have very good outcome.
