you noe.. i really don't understand why ron got like over 2 million votes in this series..when his character is such a dumb assole!!!!!

he's doing all these evil deeds right now to sabatoge joe.. and i just really really hate him.. he's stupid.. dumb much dumber than everyone else!! and you guys call him cool and smart?! he takes all the money from the hotel to use it on his plans without telling his brothers .. and i bet he's going to lose the money sonner or later.. he's never going to learn is he? first we all see him so violent and stuff and changes to calm.. but now he's back to violent and more stupid than before.

oh yeah.. for you people that said he improved.. i wanna ask in what way did he improve? honestly and i bet a lot of ppl agree with me too.. his acting style is just the same as when he was in TITIS ( rebelling against francis ng) the academy .. you call that improvement? his acting style is just teh same.. his eyes are dead solid and arent' showing any emotions.. his voice is just rough and OMG i just hate his voice.. he can't sing.. all his notes are so flat.. stinks like a cow. .. and he's going to release his albulm? ( i suggest he go farming in hern ha instead..) his nostrils are always flaring when he makes an angry face so ugly.

like what some ppl said ron could only do two types of acting styles: the quiet one.. so wooden and fake like tob and Chamber of love.. or the violent, loud, screaming one in academy, triumph in the skies, and now this series.

Haha, I agree with 90% of all that Charlie Cat said. He is just one $**t actor. His eyes are flat, and he only speaks in one tone of voice. When he acts angry, all he does it shout. And I never thought of his as handsome or hot neither. I absolutely despise his character in this series. I wish they'd kill him off.

I agree his is stiff but all stars haf a character which they are good in, that's what they are known for. Like louis is cool, and bobby is funny. So i fink he jus needs time to improve cos he's relatively new. However i'm abit iffy on his singing. hrmms

I agree that Ron sucks in the series before and in RDOV as well. His character is sooooo stupid too. I just really dislike his character and his acting in RDOV.

i hate him in ep. 22. first he was like it was his fault that hoi sum's brother ended up in the hospital (that was horrible acting by the way it was painful watching him trying to squeeze out some tears), then he goes and sleeps with chloe. that was a disgusting scene by the way. it was stupid cause even if chloe kissed him first, can't he push her away or slap her? but no.....he just kisses her back. stupid idiot.

And I thought I was the only one thinking what is wrong with these people... why the hell are they putting him in every single big series that came out of TVB in the last year or so.......

I totally thought it was an insult to Joe and Kenix's characters to put wooden Ron as the main protagonist... he is so not that level yet.... to me... he still has a long way to go... and he's no Raymond Lam.... i mean... a piece of log probably has more personnality than this Ron guy...

I totally agree. I really hate his acting. It's seem like he appears in every single serie. I can't rent this and that because have him in it. I just like the plot of RDOV so i have to rent it. I just hope that with so many series he have done, he should at least be improve by little. However he didn't and he still acts the same guy that gives no emotion.
Like the scene when he and Ella were in the bar and they were missing each other, I can't see what kind of expression Ron wants to portray. Even Ella as a new comer I can see that she is expressing something in there. I just can't feel Ron.


TVB promotes him because he is good looking. TVB sees that he is a good market for teenage people. Though I hate his acting and singing, I can't deny that he is good looking compare with a lot of TVB male actors. He has that look that when the audiences see him will like it and feel comfortable. However what he does in his job doesn't matter.

i think this topic of more of a "critic's hangout" post. i could see why u hate ron so much, but his acting did improve and u may not think so but a lot of people do. people thought he was smart and cool BEFORE the incident of when he took the money we base our judgment on that. i personally think hes so self-centered and selfish and doesnt think about his brothers.

i so agree with everythign said here!! putting aside the dumb, irritating, brainless character he is playing - ron just can't pull it off..just comes acroos as a brat that likes shouting...his actin skills are poor...there are ppl that have played really evil and annoying characters like cheung ka fai in cold blood warm heart...and have pulled if off successfully ..but ron..he has a long way to go ...part of the reason why i am not that interested in this series is him...

Ron did improve in this series, but in my opinion he's still quite stiff and monotone when he's saying his lines. And not to mention his eyes are so wooden and dead, that you can't really see what kind of expression he's suppose to have, like what tb1314 said. After acting this kind of role so many times, I actually expected better from him.
As many of you guys I also think his character is dumb and mango-headed, I mean how selfish can a person be...taking the money which his brother is responsible for, just to buy the hotel before Joe. I haven't been seen such a stupid character in a long time, (haven't watched many series since I started Highschool) the latest one was Oscar in Golden Faith.

I know his singing is quite awful, but he is just trying something new to get more money. Most celebs, after they tried it (singing, advertisements etc.) if they think they are bad they'll stop. If you don't like his singing don't buy his album.

If you hate him so much I suggest that you go right to the tvb headquarters in HK and yell at the manager about Ron getting promoted. I think his actings are ok. His character in this movie is about revenge and he is blinded by the hatred and revenge. Therefore, he will forget everything else until it's too late.

I sorta thought he was Ok until he slept with Chloe. That was just disgusting. I mean, he wasn't drunk or anything. They could have made him think of Happy when he was kissing Chloe (if he really loved Happy).. but he just started kissing her back for no reason and that majorily made me dislike his character after that. IMO, he doesn't deserve Happy after that even if he is given a chance to get back with her.

Actually, Charlie is disliking his character in the series. I think Ron improved but I still think he is being promoted too much. His acting isn't superb, he can only act stiff roles. He has the same expressions as always. But he improved a little bit in RDOV.

His character is really stupid in this series. He's so adamant about believing Joe is bad and Chloe is good.

I'm on episode 24 of this series and Ron keeps getting worse and worse. He's hell bent on revenge and won't listen to reason.

I think .. Ron's character in revolving doors of vengeance is more challenging than his previous roles. In this one he had to show a lot of anger and a little more emotion. It's true, he's always playing the rebel in his series, like Academy or Triumph in the sky. But in this one he had some emotional scene that were okay. The most emotional scene for me in RDOV was when Joe thought his father died and he starts losing it. I thought that was great acting. Ron's not a great actor yet but he improved, there's no doubt. I think he should play the role of a real villain, not a dumb guy doing bad things... People would start recognizing his acting skills. But if he plays a vilain, he won't be so popular.....

yeah, i think it more the character that he was potraying - very 'chong dong' and a little thick at times when he gets all emotional (anger problem...)
You must say, tho, he does look pretty cool in some scenes.. e.g. walking down from the aeroplane after arriving in the phillipines..... *sigh* he looked really cool then
