Perhaps due to the fact playing an evil role is easier to get more noticed, every artist would like to try. They all hope to have a breakthrough in their career.

Jessica has been in TVB for nearly 17 years. Since entering the industry she has never played an evil role before. After hearing that the role will be very evil in the new series she immediately accepted to shoot this series. In the past the artistes who played evil roles would be scolded by the audience. But after "Sai Kai" and "Hung Yi" got more famous, the artises no longer worry about that problem because nowadays the audience are smart enough to know that it's just acting.

In the series "Pearl on the Palm" many artistes will play evil roles, as well as Jessica Hsuan, Kiki Sheung and Macy Chan playing the 3 sisters. Bowie Lam and Michael Tao have also portrayed many evil characters in the past. Such as Bowie's recent production "The Gem of Life". But his role in the new series will be totally different.
