Im not a big fan of hacken but i watched the RODV music video with him singing in it. And the first thing i noticed was his movements and emotions. When they showed a clip of him singing, and only moved his head and they looked like robot movements so stiff. There was no emotion in his sing its like he just says the words with tone adjustments. There was absolutely no expression on his face, it was just this one stone face thru out the song. Does he always do this or this coincident that those clips happen to show him doing those over and over again.

well... its not hacken's fault.. its whoever choreographed the music video cause i doubt the singers themselves think of what to do with the music videos. but i gotta agree the mv was boring.

he's an AWESOME singer, and props for being liked so much at his age. I don't know about he emotion thing though, but yea, HE'S AWESOME!

i've always like hacken's singing...his songs & voice are good. I think it's probably the way the mv is filmed because if you watch his other mvs, he doesn't do that. He sangs lot of songs for tvb series though and they're all good.

He's a great singer. I loved his theme song about 'faith' in the serie with that guy named 'popcorn'.

i think y some ppl dont like him is that he's got that old sku kinda voice.

He's a great singer. He has a sense for music. He singing skills is definitely on of the best artist in HK. But in my opinion he can't show all his skills in Mandarin songs. But singing in Cantonese he's really great. Well, his emotion is may be not really the best. So just listen to him

i think his singing is alright since he can actually sing unlike other new artists.

He can sing but his voice is too monotone for me. Like he did a cover of Jacky Cheung.
It's a very sad song with long tones but his voice makes the song less emotional.
So I like only a couple of songs by him.

he's not a bad singer and i dont think he's a very good singer, he's just ok. one thing bad about him is that whenever he sings, its like he just sings the words. you can't see any emotions.

He is great singer I love he song and he also have a great voice. I don't care that how he is acting on stage. I only care how he sing it.

I think singer is on what they sing not what they do, so I think Hacken is a great singer.

Yep, Hacken is a good singer. His songs are great and he's much better than the new singers now. The only problem is that he's like the oldies, he really just stands there mostly when he sings, not dancing or anything.

The problem with Hacken lies here:

He is a good singer no doubt, good middle, high and low, is capable of vibrating with his throat like a washing machine without the need to move jump up and down.
But, he's not a good performer, as many already said, he sings with no emotion, and that's why he never really broke through in his younger years.

Although having said that, i prefer someone who can actually sing over people like twins.

i think he's a very talented singer & i like some of his songs, but he's not my favorite tho.. xD

he's one of the few male singers i like! its hard to describe but all i can say is he's a good singer and he puts emotion in his songs. lyrics are so true and real..have you heard the main song for revolving door of vengeance? absolutely amazinggg

Thank god Hong Kong still has him... without him i think the music industry is pretty much a complete waste of hong kongs money and peoples time.

Well, Hacken is a very good singer.. he's talented at that. But I agree, he's kinda boring to watch him sing... like at the All About Men concert, he was quite boring to watch too. But you can't deny the fact that he's got talent.

I started listen to his songs when i was just a little girl. He's such a great singer. One of my favourites... Hacken !! Hacken !!

Hacken Lee has one of the better voices out there today BUT I just can't watch him perform. I can listen to his album over and over again BUT I just can't watch him perform.

The thing that annoys me is when he tilts his head over to the side (usually the right). That annoys the heck outta me. He does it for just about every line in the lyrics. He tilts it, brings it back to the upright position, tilts it back, etc., etc.

It is so annoying to watch. I'm afraid that his neck will snap one day while performing. Of course I don't want it to happen, but watching him tilt his head makes it seems like its going to snap off.

I can listen to him all day long, I just can't watch him.

Hacken Lee is one of the most talented and REAL singers in the HK industry these days. Seriously, HK promotes the worse singers ever. Ie. RON NG, TWINS, LEO KU *I HATE HIM* etc. There aren't many good singers out in HK anymore. But Hacken's one of the GRETA AND LEGENDARY singers. And, yes, I saw the RDOV MV, and it's probably the director of the MV that made him do it that way. If you listen and see Hacken's other videos. (ie of a greta on, "purple dream") You'll see he puts great emotion in it.

I don't think his non-emotions and head tilt has anything to do with the director or cheorgrapher. The head tilt is signature Hacken 'cause every time I see him perform he tilts his head. The non-emotions can only be blamed on Hacken 'cause this is his song, he knows whats going on and if he feels that there isn't enough emotion, he should fix it. Things like dance moves, coloring, props, etc. can be blamed on the behind-the-scenes crew but, not the non-emotion or head tilt.

I think I know why he tilts his head so often, especially singing live. When he's on stage he doesn't know how to react to the audience and so he smiles (a sweet smile) and then tilts his head as body movement. I've seen him improve in trying to move his body more and less in the head this past year but, the body movement needs to be fixed all on its own. This is why I can listen but not watch him.
