STORY:
MAN KA WO (CHAN KAM HUNG, SUNNY) usually plays the role of a listener in his family. This 'unfortunate' habit leads him to became a psychological therapist. He loves his job and has helped many patients who are diagnosed of depression, anorexia and gambling addiction, etc. He once cured a policeman who has an urge to shoot whenever he sees a pregnant wonman.

Nevertheless, WO has no cure for his own phobia towards love affairs. He has never dated a girl for more than three months until he meets a so-called 'Fung Shui expert' YING LING SHAN (TANG LAI MING, JOYCE). While they are deeply in love with each other, WO's good friend CHEUNG CHO YIU (CHENG, KELVIN) pursues SHAN. Meanwhile, she is diagnosed of schizophrenia.

How will WO resolve the conflicts between friendship and love? Can he cure his own phobia?

MIND AND SOUL CHICKEN SOUP was just a translated title from fans...TVB NEVER HAD UNOFFICIAL TITLES....

watched tape 2 already i love this series so far !! the themesong&themevideo are perfect !! keke tho it looks like theres madd love triangles or something ... hehe , i'll probably dislike this series later on .. since im like love then hate .. but unlike for summer heat i thought it was good all along =)

It's quite nice after watching ep 2. Quite funny too, but I really dislike a girl with Joyce Tang's character's personality, so I dislike Joyce in this series too

The psyocholigical tricks are a bit simple though.. so that even kids can connect the dots and there is no need for real psyochology... Do TVB thinks the audience are stupid or something? Give some real cases or so

I haven't managed to watch this yet.. but the poster doesn't really appeal to me. however i think joyce is a good actress and this show might not be too bad

the first two tapes are pretty good. but i think the psychology part of this series might really bug psychology majors. not that the problems are a bit simple, but that they're not treating the patient properly. they dont follow proper procedures. still though... i hope this series turns out good. it's good so far but who knows?

i agree about the girl named OLIVER. i thought they meant OLIVIA too. Lol

I've watched the first 4 episodes. I actually like it a lot, the cases turned out to be a bit more complicated now. I think it's because they want to "roll the audience" in the story, that's why they made the first case so easy.

I like the fact that one ep is one case. It keeps the story refreshing.

BTW. noticed how much makeup Cindy has?

yeah why does cindy have so much make up? Are they trying to make her like a REAL CELEBRITY ? She is a celeb in the series. Or maybe something is wrong with her skin in real life. Kind of disturbing to see her have so much make up but she does look pretty. Roger Kwok's girlie. hehehe

but anyway, im still on first epi, Joyce's character isn't that bad actually. I thought she was more annoying in Summer Heat.

funny how joyce and sunny's office's are directly across from each others. Can the world get any smaller?

i love watchin kevin cheng acting. Joyce isn't bad either, but maybe sunny could show a little more emotion. But i'm beginning to love this series! By the way? which character does cindy au play? thanx!

Joyce is a good actress, except she too often do that tough girl facial expression. Hopefully it doesn't show up in this show, cause it doesn't fit the character.

Interesting serie in a way ... Maybe people by watching this show can realize they DO have a problem and it IS solvable if they are prepared to face it and find a doctor to help them.

Hacken Lee sings the themesong .. hehe i like it too I hope Sunny&Joyce ends up together .. or probably one of those LAME tvb endings .. if it is , its REALLY gonna dissapoint me . because im really lookin foward to this series and liking it .. and i agree that cindy does has so much make up

BTW, I can't really stand Sunny's voice in this series, he sounds so weak... I mean, there is like zero conviction in his voice and he makes weak attempts to be strong.

i thought the exact same thing. then my sister noticed that in the ending credit (when they scroll the names), her name was actually spelled "OLIVA" lol....duh! that explains it now.

i also love this series so far. i've d/l the first 4 episodes, and everyone in my house that's watched it agrees that we should rent the tapes from now on. Especially b/c by Friday, they'll have all 8 episodes for rental in the U.S.

from K-100: Cherrie Kong's character becomes a lesbian later on. She has a relationship with Eileen Yeow. The clips from the opening scenes had everyone fooled I guess.

will kevin cheung and the girl who is the new secretary get together?

well kevin seems to like her but later on he proposes to joyce (you see a clip of that in the trailer)

and as add_oil said, *SPOLIER, Cherrie, the new secretary becomes a lesiban with Eileen later on in the series

i just hope Kevin doesnt end up alone..=(

as of ep. 8 kevin is kinda together with cherie. she cant get herself to tell her mother that she's a lesbian so she's pretending to want kevin as her bf.

yeah , pretending .. hMms , if she's a lesbian .. how is she gonna change into liking a guy ? i think shes gonna continue .. dont think shes gonna like kevin but i think kevin is gonna like joyce because they gonna kiss & stuff like that .. i feel bad for sunny if that happends i want sunny&joyce!!

it seems like the fact that cherie is a les is such a big shock....i mean just because shes a les....isnt really that big of a deal! i like this series...TVB doesn't really make psychological series...and i like this one!! i like Joyce!!

This series is pretty good. The idea is very different. I don't ever recall seeing with a similar storyline.

I find Joyce's hair style utterly annoying. Who in their right mind would fluff their hair like that. Looks like her hair is used like a broom.

i dunno, i find that joyces hair fits her alright, because hair like that doesnt fit everyone and i think it looks alright on her..

i like her hair more in here even tho its messy .. because her regular straight hair in ar4 or herh air in invisible journey;a taste of love .. it annoys me because i dont really like her but shes alright in here =)

i have watched until epi8..this serie is very different from other tvb series...sunny looks great in this serie...but i think sometimes he is too 'wood'...not emotional enough..

I agree Sunny is kind of stiff. I think it's the character he's playing. Joyce's hair is kind of annoying but come to think of it not many Asian look good with hair like that and I think she doesn't look that bad.

from what i have seen, i really like this series...i'll definitely ask my parents to rent it

ive only watched the 1st few eps of this series n find joyce's hairstyle and attitude terribly annoying. hope it gets better though. sunny does a good job of being a cute man in love but doesnt know wat 2 do bt it. kevin as usual plays a don juan. urgh. i hate him.

i liked most of the problems they show for the patients except for the one where it showed all those bugs and stuff it was gross

This serie is a nice love comedy drama. Hmm.. Do u think this kinda of story will happen in real life? It's so romantic when enemies can become good friends & then falling in love.. Hhaaaa

i was wondering if ppl think this series is better than hidden treasures? cos most ppl seem to say that hidden treasures is better? i cant decide whether or not to watch this as im not reli a joyce fan altho i do like sunny...

yeah , i think this is more better than hidden treasures . hidden treasures is more like comedy but this is like more drama/romance than comedy so yeah . i like romance series more but hidden treasures is go0d also

I certainly like the fact that placebo cure is in fact one story for each case. But I don't like the fact that near the end they're more concentrating so much on that stupid love triangle...

if you like sunny, i suggest that you watch this series because he's really cute in it and its one of his most recent series since DIF4

i finished almost half of the series and it's really funny. some of the parts make me laugh, but it's kinda annoying that kevin always act those handsome and admirable people. i know he has the looks, the situations are always the same.

um but i am jw wat character does Gilbert plays in this serie???
