Well I think the title represents what will happen to those who watch this episode. At first, I thought I won't cry a lot - just like when I watched stairway to heaven, even other people cried a lot but I didn't.
However, this series really made me cry...A LOT!!!! Til both of my eyes become like Panda's eyes hahaha....
I don't know why but may be because this series is based on true story - unlike other cheesy love dramas .

Ryo is very handsome & Erika is very cute!! All of them did a great job in this movie . I think the father also quite funny....

Well...I think it's hard for someone who has disease like that but still able to live for another 10 years. It's not a short period of time to have courage to stay live. About 9 years unable to walk properly and 5 years unable to talk at all...

And he....Haruto....he's such a faithful man!!! Aww.....

her disease is horrific!!! hehe there are ppl with it but i don't think ney1 else is going through so much like aya because she is really young... so brave =D

Wow! I was just introduced to this drama by a friend and just reading the responses from this thread is already making my eyes water!
It makes me so sad how a wish as simple as wanting to live can seem so impossible to some people. It's like how some some kids only wish is just to have an opportunity to study... makes me think about my own life and how I've been taking for granted so many things.
Anyways, this is such a good drama! I never knew that it was based on a true story... makes me even more sad. It's amazing how the real Aya fought so hard for her life... it must have been a really tough journey.
It's really horrifying to know diesases like that can occur...

i think that it is a really good show that makes you think about your own life. I mean, we go haywire if our hair is straight, or if our shirt is a bit stained... or we just wanna give up, or we just take things for granted. but aya doesn't... she can't help it if her hair isn't straight, she can't straighten it like us. if her shirts are stained, she will have to get others to help her out of it.
if she isn't giving up on her life and living it to the fullest... shouldn't we? people who can still love freely and stuff...

i think it is a good think that lets you to go on a 'journey' to think over your own life... she was inspirational lor =D

i cry pretty easily when it comes to watching sad/moving films but this series got to be good really made me appreciate health and life... really moving drama and focused on realistic situations of the real aya's life which made the drama even more moving....

I just finish watching this drama 2 weeks ago....OMG I can't stop crying,i cry in each episode....this drama is the best drama that i ever watch this year....I really really NOT regret buying the dvd....the story is really sad & touching.... I watch this drama the whole night until next morning ...i just can't stop watching this drama, I love this drama soooo much....well for me....this drama is the best japanese drama in 2006....luv it so much.... Ryo also so KAKKOIIII....sugoku totemo kawaii yo.... also the Fujiki Naohito as a doctor I will watch this drama again this weekend luv it toooo much....

A beautiful story of love and courage in adversity. Superbly produced! But seeing it once is enough because the series does produce a litre of tears. I must have cried longest (non stop in a stretch) here, of all the series I have watched in the past 2 years. Highly recommended.

i LOVE this jap series.. started watching it yesterday night and i finished it today! aya&haruko are so cute together although I thought the ending was incomplete... haruko could of AT LEAST HUGGED HER or held her hand!! ='(

the ending did make me think about ALOT OF THINGS-how i'm so lucky to be able to walk, read and write so freely and without any health problems. This series really proves that there are people out there with incureable diseases and that in today's state medical research needs to be constantly done in order to find a cure.. I really pity her family and of course aya~ RIP

Yeah, this Japanese drama is the best. The first episode just got me hooked. I think i cried buckets of tears....definitely more than one liter of tears. It's so cute, and ryo is extremely sweet. Ugh, he's so cute!!!!!! also, i thought erika was quite cute (i'm envious) so they made a really cute couple. It just pissed me off that she broke up with him for nearly a year, i mean, he still totally loves her. I have bunchies of good memories (sad or happy) from this series. it's quite good, everyone should definitely see it. Amazingly good stuff.

it's one of the most touching episodes of the whole drama!! but the greatest thing is that even the drama being sooooooo sad, it's a really great lesson of life ^^!

My first, probably best, J-drama I've ever seen. Let's just say the waterworks went full-blast a few episodes in. I won't forget watching this series, ever.. It makes me realize even more how life is precious and how cruel fate can be for bad things happening to good people. I honestly wish that I could trade places with someone so that they wouldn't have to suffer like the real Aya Ikeuchi had. I would probably be terrified of having such a disease, yet I'd have much less to lose as opposed to someone like Aya.. Watching this drama gives me hope, however, that humans can endure anything - as long as they have the will to survive. Terrific drama, it's touched my heart in ways I've never imagined possible. Excuse me while I go to have a smoke after all of this...

i loved the darma..so sad.....cried so much.eehhe..but i cried for mostly the happy moments..omg my fav part was the part when she was leaving the school and they all ran after her and sang for her....man that was my fav part...*sniff*....and man i love all the songs in it too..

This series has got to be the best I've ever seen... I'm a hardcore K-drama fan, and besides PGSM, this is the first Jap series I've watched. It's so addictive... inspirational, uplifting, life-altering... all those things. I love it to death!

this was such a good drama. It's the only drama that made me cry. So sad how she died. Did that one guy become a doctor? he never went to her funeral.

if you mean haruto, i think they didn't put him in because the ending is suppose to be more about how she was able to touch people thru her diaries instead of about her and her family (well that's my opinion). plus haruto is not a real-life person so maybe they didn't include him because of that too.

I'd watched a couple 'high-school-based' J-Drama's before this and never really wanted to watch anything that wasn't school-based (like Gokusen) BUT after reading some comments on another site, I decided to give it a go...

It is LITERALLY the BEST TV series I have ever seen. Erika's acting was so good in it, the way she moved, her facial expressions, her voice, it felt so real. Serisuly had me crying fullblown for some of the episodes lol. You really do grow to love quite a few of the characters in the dorama.

Haha, I remember after I watched the finale, it was about 4am (was watching episodes straight back to back) and I was like, "MUST. TELL. EVERYONE. TO. WATCH. THIS" XD
Now my BF and my best mate are gonna watch it soon, they're both guys and say they don't cry easily, hahaha, we'll see...

Anyway, yeah, brilliant drama. It's made me realise theres more to drama's than just school-based ones haha. <3

This was such a sad/sweet/moving drama!! and that fact that it's real and did actually happen to a real Aya makes it even more sadd!!!!!!! Erika was sooo good in this drama!!!!! and Ryo was very sweet too...arrgghh....hate the bball boyfrend...why did he just dump her like that because of her illness? And it was so sad everytime he tells her to get well soon because she won't! They seriously should have shown Ryo in the funeral in the ending....he was such a major part of Aya's life he should have been in it! I definitely liked this drama!

I'm currently watching this show at episode 4...
Episode 3 was really sad..i kept tearing at the later part of the episode.

I didn't know it was based on a true story until they put the real pictures at the end of each epi... For a change from Taiwan/Korean dramas..i think this is really a good drama to watch. I'm going to watch finish hopefully by today.
Sadly, now my area seldom broadcast Jap dramas because the craze has died down..I really hope they will bring back Jap dramas again especially for such shows like this..

My gosh, the mother was so supportive ! I never knew how nice a mother could be. And it's sad how the real girl with the disease didn't have a love in her life, I think this is why her mother wanted a boy to be in the drama, so that she could have someone to love..

I thought that Ryo should have hugged her or something before she died. And it was so sad how they both cried.. When Ryo cried, I cried.. So sad.

This shows me how much you should treasure life and make the most of it while you are living in it. Anyway, I hope to see Ryo in another Japanese Drama?

well., Ichi Rittoru no Namida a.k.a. 1 litre of tears is the reason of my obsession to japanese entertainment.. now i even like k who sang only human and remioromen who sang 3gatsu9ka and konayuki(who keeps playing in my head)

True it really is a good Show. So Sad ! i Cried so much that my head hurted during the entire 3 days that i was watching it. Ryo's really hot though. check him out on "Attetion Please"he's even hotter in it!!

I just finished watching this drama a few days ago and man it's really good! Very touching and sad...both the main and supporting characters were really good..and the ending song makes it even more dramatic! I'm like..totally obsessed with that song..lol..set it as my cell ring tone haha. =P
