haha I watched the entire series in one go...excluding lunch and dinner...but I cried EVERY SINGLE EPISODE..! It was soo touching!! I originally wanted to see it because of the good comments (and ryo too of course) and I think the cast did a GREAT job acting...(both erika and ryo were awesome!) and everyone should watch it =D

i just finished watch this series,OMG...the story made me lost 1 litre of my tears...i cant stop crying especially towards the end...the story line is so good.aya really made me see life in another perspective

Aww that's so sad.
My sister watched it before me, and she didn't cry but I did.
I think part of the reason she didn't was because she was watching it on youtube, and when it got into the really sad parts it stopped and she had to wait half an hour for it to load again.
But I didn't have to.
I went through a tissue box the whole entire last 3 episodes, I was just tearing up so bad.
I must agree that Erika as Aya was a good choice, and Ryo as well. They're both so cute together!!!
--Side note: When I first saw Ryo in the first episode I was like: DAMN! He's so tan.. O__O, he wasn't that cute in the beginning, towards the end he was hot. =D
But the acting was good... the storyline moved a little fast but hey when you have 10 episodes and a lot of emotion has to be put into it, it has to move fast.
--Last episode made me cry so hard..

i love this series.. even tho this drama might be alittle too depressing but i felt the sympathy for aya.. this drama sent a really good message to me about life.. cherishing it and all.. i would love to read the diaries but its supposely be in jap soo i guess il have to wait for the eng or chinese..

Woah! I started watching this yesterday and I just finished Episode 6. This really is a sad series. I cried at least 4 times already.

i watched this series on youtube..n it made me cry almost every episode...its a must watch,..this drama is based a real girl n it has touched me ..so go watch it!!

I watched this series a while ago and i got to admit .... i cried from episode 4 and on. Its truly the most touching series ever. The story of a normal girl who finds out she is loosing her abilty to walk, move, speak and even eat. This drama is my favourite so far

i haven't cried for a drama like i did for '1 litre of tears' in AGES. i've been pretty numbed out watching tonssss of dramas. this series really got to me. it's scary to think that anyone has the possibility of coming across a disease or even DIE any second. this movie definitely woke me up completely.

yeah I have the OST. its really good and really makes me think of this great dorama everytime I listen to it.

i finished this drama so quick.. lols i acutally put school on hold and lost sleep to watch more.
it was really sad for me, i think it touched me more knowing that there are her true diaries out there, and they sold alot in japan, and raised that much more awareness.

I remember my friend telling me that i was going to cry watching it, personally im a sucker to these j- and k-dramas, but i think it was it was like the 3rd episode my eyes couldnt stop tearing... so touching.

i dont know any one that watches j-dramas around me that havent watched it, and if any of you havent watched it, i highly recommend it.

i also enjoyed the sound track, esp the songs that were played often during the drama such as Remioromen - Konayuki and only human and march 9th? (forget the date.. corrrect me if im wrong.) most of the other songs were classical/instrumental/or background music that i hardly noticed since i was lingering on every words the actors spoke >.<

All I did well watching this drama was get really teary and then slowly cry at certain moments. My mom who would check up on me to see if I was still alive (been watching a love of anime and drama...because when school starts no time really). And most of the time she would see me laughing my butt off or really sad. >_>

But, I love this drama and I think K's Only Human is such a prefect song for this drama.

I watched the first episode and I'm cried so much. Not because of the episode but because of the credits and the pics that they showed. Now I'm about to watch episode 2.

[/b]YOSH! I Just finished the whole drama last night in about 9 hours. UMMMM I really depressed now. The last time I cried was almost two years ago when my grandpa died. This series made me tear up so much after episode 4 and up. So sad! I don't think there is a k drama that even comes close to the magnitude of this j-drama. Out of 10, I give this a friggin 12. Beat Hana yori dango, nobuta wo produce, and the rest out of the water.[b]

My cousin turned this series on and said "check this out. It's really good". I thought it would be some short, light hearted show....little did I know. It was so sad even after the first episode cus you knew her horrible fate was coming. Yet it was still addicting cus you wanted to know what would happen to her and constantly hoping that there would be some magical happy ending. She was so cute in the series too. It was also a plus that the doctor was pretty good looking and even her friend was cute sometimes because he was so caring for her and never gave up on her.

i heard about this drama for a long time but i didn't know what it was about other than ryo-chan was in it.
but i didn't really like ryo-chan back then so i decided not to watch it (bad choice)

but i got into NewS and i started to like ryo so i watched 1 litre of tears.
and i'm soooooooo glad i watched it. it was really really really really really really really really really good.


but i'm a bit sad that asou-kun and aya-chan didn't get together, but then again the story is supposed to be based on aya-chan and her life so it isn't right to tangle in a lover that isn't true.

this is my first jdorama... i cried not only 1 litre of tears from episode 3 till the very end... Erika Sawajiri's performance was superb!

i coudln't convince myself to watch this drama at first becos i knew ryo was in it and i really didn't like him becos i thought he was mean to yamapi (actually i didn't even know they were goood friends...) so i thought ryo was bad and i banned myself from watchign anythign wit him in it........how stupid of me

i don't think so...from what i've read on some chinese sites...
apparently they used a girl that is not very pretty and the story is more close to the diary...
which means there's no asou-kun/haruto in it either...
but it seems that not many have heard about it...or have they??

Its not only 1 litre of tears, i cried buckets of tears for Aya & her mum especially. Really thought Jap series is going downhill big time due to the korean craze, & it took quite a while to try Jap series yet again. But this show was really meaningful & has a powerful cast. Tho Aya & tat Asou are rather young but i must say they shine from this show's character. Like Aya's sister too, she's pretty & has a very strong personality. & her parents are such a endearing & courageous pair.
Quite alot of cliches in the show tat are always apt eg to not to look at the past but do the best at what you are currently doing. No one knows what the future holds but its best to make each moment count & be able to help others etc etc.
Glad tat Asou finally confessed his love for Aya, & despite the "love letter" which was meant for break up, he eventually reconciled their friendship at her bed side. That was very sweet of him. & that kinda lead me to think: probably to live without regrets, should i swallow my pride & confess that i like him eventho i mite face rejection or even to put our friendship at peril?

i know this is a sad drama and i shoudln't be talking bout asou+aya..since that wasn't even real...but i really enjoyed their parts the most in the drama...
asou made me feel beta for aya...becos although she was sick she had someone like him by her side which i dont think many people would have...(i don't think i'm making sense)
and i really like the part when ryo..asou..ok anything haha..when he was reading the letter..n crying...

but iduno why..my fav part is asou-kun running to aya's school and confess to her
although it mite sound ordinary it just..hit me....iduno what i' trying to say but i really liked that part best
and even though he knew about her disease he still confessed...sweet no?
i think it'd be very hard to find someone like tha tin real life...so guess i have to enjoy it when watching dramas...

I finished watching this series today and I have to say...Korean/Taiwanese/American/whatever weepy soap operas, learn a thing or two from this show! It's not overly sentimental and cliched; it's touching, brutally realistic, enriching...and of course, great acting from Sawajiri Erika...she did a wonderful job. I don't cry much during movies or TV shows but I sobbed three times while watching. I'm so humbled by the courage and determination of Aya...she was a really admirable person.
