definetly an awesome drama. Makes you think, and re-evaluate how you look at life! Great soundtrack as well!

i just started watching this i didnt know that this was a true story. its soo sad that i cried on ep. 3 i think. this drama make me appriciate life. and the theme song by K-human is such a great song. im hoping i can finish it the drama, but i really want to read the book. ahh its soo sad...

im so glad there are more and more one litre fans coming into this thread!! it deserves alot more attention!! i think itz the best drama of the season for sure because of excellent cast (esp sawajiri erika + ryo), very touching story, good music (love the theme song-only human)

This drama is excellent, I don't think I'd be able to watch anymore sad show without comparing it to this one. It really has the power to move the audience. I didn't really cry in every episode, because some eps left a smile on my face at the end, even though they were sad as well. I think I only cried during the 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th and final episode. And wah, ep 10 made be bawl my eyes out, it was just heart-breaking to see Aya in such a state. Great drama, it makes me value life and the people around me more.

the ep that made me cry were ep8 and ep11. the others were sad but no tears. still a good drama. i think i would've cried more if there was more haruto+aya scenes but it's probably my ryo-obsession that wants that. it was good the way it was too.

i just watched finished the show its very sad and touching but nice and heart warming~ryoo is soo good looking and i think the girl's pretty too. but just ondering wad happened to ryo's character in the end..

i just finished watching "one litre of tears" just awhile ago!!!!! it's so sad! very.... sucha good drama man!! i can't wait to see more of ryo!! i LOVE him!!

I just finish watching it and now my eyes are all puffy and red and my nose is stuff. It's such a sad drama. You'll definately be crying 1 litre of tears after watching it. If they translate the book to english/if i ever learn japanese, I'll so buy it. Ryo got better looking at the end where he changed his hair and wore casual clothes.

I just finish downloading and watching this serial. Too, too sad ! Iguess since the 4th episode I can't stop my tears while watching this drama. It's really touching and a so sad story. It's not only sad because of the girl Aya having such a terrible disease but really touching how her family members like her parents, her brothers and sisters facing this problem. I've cried alot while watching. Too long ago that I've really cry for a movie/soaps. And...
Ryo Nishikido's acting is good either, he's still adorable while crying. Love love kawaii Ryo-chan. Hope Ryo will appears in more japanese soaps.

oh man.... my friend told me about this series and i started watching it on youtube cause i didn't want to d/l something that might not be good...

but after the first few minutes i was hooked. this is such a sad drama.... i cried SOOOOO HARD when she first found out and when she was talking to her mom. everytime the parents cry i cry.

i know this is goign to be a really sad ending as well so i should just prepare for the worst now.

btw how old is the main actress in real life. i doubt she is 15 but she is a really good actress. very natural and she is really cute~

i juz finished watching the whole series and i'm now ready to give reviews for the benefit of the people who's still in dilemma with this drama.

all i can say is this is One of the best japaneese drama that i ever watched. every episode is importantly meaningful and there was never a dragging parts. i cried in every episode so it is really officially and painstakingly a tearjerker that would juz bawl ur eyes becoz of too much crying.

What makes this series very special is becoz it is based on a real life and events of this certain Aya. her story is not a fictional exagerrated work of a writer but by her herself. real and true and might also change your views of life. there's also a lot of lessons and morals to be learn here. and every words she writes is really gud. the importance of family, with gratefulness and acceptance of her condition even how worse it could be.

the OST is really gud too. making it as a background really works. additional help to make you cry more. damn musicians!

i also like Ryo. eventhou i'm not a fan of News, but maybe perhaps i'll make this one as an exception. Erika's acting is ok too. the only part i'm disappointed of is the bedridden part. she lacks of push or something in that part. not that convincing enough.

and i also shared this to my brother and suprisingly, he liked it and even finished the whole series with me! considering that he's not really fond of Asian Dramas. he laughed at me when he saw me brawl in all episodes and keep teasing me by hiding my tissues. i used his shirt instead for revenge! buahaha

highly recommended people. highly!

OMG !! This series is so sad !! the acting was fantastic !! even i cried especially in near end of most episodes. its very sad episode 8 is sad, so is episode 5 and 9 and 10
and of course 11

I just finished all 11 episodes .. the' endings not as sad as the rest of it though .. &&' i wish taht they had shown asou-kun in the ending [@ the funeral] .. oh, well .. but it was still reallieee' good &&' sad .

I finally finished watching it . The serie is great , very interesting . It push us to have a questionning on the meaning of the life , the humans relations because its a true story ...I ve keep crying throughout the serie!
Each time one will wonder, what one would have made in his place? For my part, I could surely not have continued to live by knowing that it is an incurable disease.

Does anyone know if , at that time , they found out how to cure this disease or still not ?
And is this book published another share than japan ? I 'd like to read the book ...

Yeah me too , i first thought that asou-kun will be to the funeral but it had not being possible because , after 10 years , he must have changed his face .So the one who played by ryo would be another actor . and its gonna be not credible for the public. So they prefered not to show him .Other hypothese , maybe he became a doctor and were abroad , something like that... but finally , they put a scene which aya played basketball and smiling at him saying : live on .

I really like the love letter part too. What Aya wrote really broke my heart, and seeing Haruto crying made it even harder for me to watch. I could even felt the pain, the struggle in every word Aya wrote T^T; There are many heartwrencing moments in the entire drama, but after those sad moments, I came to appreciate and value my life more, and came to admire Aya's courage to continue to live on in the best of her ability, smiling and encouraging others around her. It's just soo admirable!!

Nver have i watched anything so sad.. I cried every episode n i cant really hold my tears when her dad n Asou cried.. I only managed to watch 2 episode at a time because it is so very sad, n i always have bloked nose whenever i cried, so i have to stop watching I have to bring along a small towel instead of tissue... i really like the asou+aya parts...theyre not extremely intimate....very subtle, tatz wat i like about their relationship!!

i'm scared to watch the last two episodes cause i knwo i'm going to cry my eyes out. but i'm so glad i got a chance to watch this series because i did learn to appreciate even the little things in life.

The last two episodes are real tear jerkers I stayed up to watch the last two episodes because I was so into the series and cried throughout the night when I watched the last episode...I usually don't cry but this one made me bawl out the tears....the OST and the pictures above are making my eyes water already when looking at it.

This drama had such an effect upon me its unbelievable...

This has to be the SADDEST drama ever. I think this drama is a nice change of pace of the dramas I usually watch. It doesn't have any of that backstabbing and love triangle stuff that usually happens in most dramas. This drama comes with a simple message, "To live". I have never cried so much for a drama. I was crying for every episode. From ep 8 on, I was like crying the whole time. I feel the actress. who plays Aya, did a wonderful job of giving a very moving performance. Her mother, Shioka, also did a wonderful acting job. This is drama makes me think about life in general. The fact that this drama makes me think makes it wonderful.

The last episode was the saddest thing I have ever watched. Like the person above, I get a little teary eyed by just looked at the pictures posted above. A must-watch series, whether you hate sad dramas or not.

i have to say my favorite scene is in ep8 where haruto defends aya to their class. especially the part where they're on the bridge and haruto and aya cries (especially haruto crying). i cried so much in that ep. i think it might have been the only ep that got tears from me.

Life-altering drama. It makes one appreciate life more. A series that made me bawled like a baby. The title of the series indeed lives up to its name. Aya and Shioka were impressive. So were Aso-Kun and Ikeuchi's family. I wanted to watch Crying out in the centre of the world after Ichi Rittoru No Namida, but I dont think I could take another tear-jerker after this. I was surprised tht my eyes watered as well when K-Only Human plays after the end of every episode. lol.

yea, this really is a touching drama............it's so sad.............and yea, it does make you appreciate life more and makes you realize that unexpected things can happen...........whether you want them to or not...........it was just really touching when Aya just kept wanting to do things even when she couldn't.............like walk and be social...........really a must-see drama.............i cried so bad...........hehe............i would watch this over again..........and cry some more.............hehe..............the actors did a really good job too............and yea, i love the songs to this............K - Only Human and Remioromen - Konayuki............both great songs!!! .........anyway, thanks everyone for sharing pics and stuff!!!!!
