thank u for the ost. i love this drama even though it's very sad. i don't know why, even though i know i'm going to cry, but this drama kept me watching it. before i watched, i thought it would like all the other school drama, but this one is very different.

Yes indeed. The company didn't gave any credits to One Litre of Tears. And they did claimed it was only fiction.
This is on Wikipedia: ''The series itself did not mention any announcement that this serial was "inspired by" or "adapted from" but claiming that the story was merely a fiction.''

its so obvious its a copy .. no one could realli think of a fiction that similar .. i dont believe them at all cluebat.gif

o.O it's a J-dorama? omo.. i kept thinking it's a tw drama when i see it on screen >.<'' sounds sad and interesting... shall go check it out on Youtube^^.. and gawd.. Indonesia copied it? what the 93)#(*@)(#@! At least give credits and copyright dammit.. Coincidence? Don't seem like it. They are probably spinning their own stories to make them not guilty.

I finished watching "1 Litre of Tears" in 2 days and I have to say that it lived up to its name. I really was crying buckets especially towards the end. The most innocent question by Aya that would make me cry, for example, Mother, will I ever get married? I cried when she first asked her mom and also later on when Asou read her diary. This show is very motivational and inspirational. It inspires me to do things now and stop keeping putting thing off. It also opens my eyes to something that I did not know about such as the condition of spinocerebellar degeneration. For example, when the medical trainee talked to Aya and thought that she was slow. Before, I think I would think the same thing and might simplify or slow down my speech but I see that it is more of an insult.

Regarding Buku Harian Nayla, the plagiarism of a fictional plot is already consider bad but to copycat a true story is just 10x worst. It feels like they are mocking Aya's story in a way. The similarity are so obvious that pretty much they just took the story change a few names and tweak the plot a little to fit the background culture of the story. The producers should be ashame of themselves. Lets say even though I really doubt this was an original fiction of any sort, this was written by someone else they should have did a little research on it and notice the similarity. I mean "1 Litre of Tears" was release a whole year before this one.

>.< I just finished the series like an hour ago. Omg my eyes are still puffy!!!

This by far one of the BEST dramas I've wactehd so far. Big tear jerker too I cried like a baby throughout the last two episodes. I cried a couple of times through the series too, it literally makes yu cry 1 Litre of Tears. I had a tissue box on my lap watching it, my trash can was getting full tooo.

Erika and Ryo did a awesome job in this series!!! Erika was always in her character and it was just so PERFECT. It was hard for me to watch her struggle episode by episode and I remember when she left school I cried so badly there too. She was just so determinated, so strong at the same time she strguggled staying strong, yet she will not back down. Ryo also did a fatastically amamzing job in here! He acted so real and when he cried I cried with him. It was just so REAL. It showed his aarogance yet his gentle and shy side. They had great chemistry. I loved it when the dad would mess with Asuo-kun. XDDD

Even though it was really super duper uber sad there were still some hilarious parts. Mostly the dad, Ako and Ryo. What a bitter-sweet sereis. >.<

I fell in love with the family too! All of them really cared for Aya and really supported her all the way until the end. Ako - even though she was a bit bratty at first she really grew on me, when she was yelling a Hiro before his game i cried it was emotional. I liked the little sister when she was younger though. =) She was just so adorable!

Ooo, the doctor was good too. THey showed his frustrations and how he worked so hard to try to find a cure even though he hadn't succeeded.

THere were so many great scenes tooh! When she left school and Ryo and her classmates sang for her, when Ryo was reading her diary, when she broke up with him in her letter, then the happier ones like when her dad and Ryo are together, the little date in the aquarium, the doggie scenes (boy that dog grew fast) and pissy ones like when Aya walked in when her classmates were talking smack about her but I found it sweet that Ryo was the only one who stood up for her and ran after her tooh.

I'm typing alot so I guess I'll stop here. Overall FANASTICAL SERIES!!! REally teaches you to enjoy life. =) I'll reccomend this to anyone.

From Sanspo News:

1 litre of tears special would be shown on 5th of April.
The story is takes place half a year after Aya's death and it's mainly about her sister and her friend Aso. There will be new scenes about Aya before her death so Erica Sawajiri will be in it too.

further info from what I've heard:
it's a 3 hour special Ryo should be having quite a big role in it it's mainly about him and Aya's sister trying to encourage a girl not to give up on life

Truly the most inspiring dorama ever watched based on real story. Loved the fact I cried more than 1L of Tears not cos it's sad but cos it's so moving. Ryo's love for her was so divine eventho that element was fictional. Definitely a must watch if you only ever wana watch 1 j-dorama.

Currently watching the series. It's amazing; I love it so far.

Erika has so much screen presence. She's a beautiful actress and she has tons of charisma.

And Ryo, lol. I was a fan of his before watching this, but he's really amazing here, too. So dark and handsome!! I love his eyes.

This is a really good drama so far. Sad as hell, but very touching and really well-done. I'll come back and edit this post or post again when I'm done watching it all.

*crying* I love this drama, its really really touching....made me think totally differently about life now....well kind of NEway.

I've watched it in japenese and it was sooo sad....i had to read eng subs though as i dont understand jap but then i got the canto version and i cried in that too......i think i must have cried in every episode...like even when she fell down and hit her chin i cried....its sooo upsetting. I think this is such a good drama, although it was upsetting it had alot of morals in it and what aya wrote was really amazing, she was a very unique person...

Just finished watching it a few hours ago. It's amazing. Just...there are no words.

It's one of the best dramas I've watched so far. I really loved this line from the drama: "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing." A truly touching story; I had a good cry in almost every episode. It's so amazing to see Aya's courage, omg.

Acted to PERFECTION. Erika was amazing as Aya and really conveyed her strength, her doubts, and her struggle to continue living. Ryo...needs to get more dramas. I thought he was AMAZING in this; good chemistry with Erika, brooding and always in character, and he also cries really well. Supporting cast - the family, her friends, the doctor were also very good.

icesmiler123
I have watched the special just now smile.gifi was really looking forward to it but unfortunately it wasnt very good..most of it was just clips from the episodes ,sure you get to see ryo in uniform infatuated.gif but it was quite repetitive for me (watching the scenes over and over again)
happiness winds
icesmiler123: oh my god!!! u watched that? with subs or? well, i have found it but it's not in subs.. haiz.. think i have to continue searching again..
if anyone had the special with subs, please post up the links.. arigatou!!!
chicalvin
oh there is an 3 hour special of this series? I didn't know, guess I have to wait until the subbed version comes out biggrin.gif But I doubt it will add any value to the original great series...

I'm a massive fan of this series!! I love movies and series that make me cry so i totally fell in love with this series. It definitely tops the list as a great tear-jerker.

The pairing of Ryo and Erika was very good. Their relationship was subtle but sorta sweet and romantic at the same time and although there wasn't much affection, it still breaks you heart when they can't be together. They didn't let a lovey-dovey storyline take over the real message that they are trying to get across to the audience, which is excellent i thought.

Everyone did an excellent job in the series!!! They were excellently casted and there was no "bad actor" in the series that stood out to me! I loved the girl that played Ako (is her name Riko?). I know she's extremely young, but she's so much more mature than her real age and she brought alot of emotional moments in the series. (Especially when she was telling off Hiroki for being ashamed of Aya!)

I just didn't totally love the ending. I really wanted to see Haruto and what happened to him over those 5 years. Did he become a doctor? But I thought the overall story was super!! Aya is SO VERY PRETTY! She's got caucasian blood in her so we know where those distinct eyes come from!!
nigoat
this is my first japanese drama (althou i've seen jap movies b4) and i'm currently on ep 5...very touching and heartbreaking...but somehow whenever i feel like crying watching this drama i tend to keep it back...unlike the other ones which i usually let it out...i heard that there's one episode which will let the viewers cry the entire time...dunno how much tissue i'll have 2 prepare 4 that....anyways a must watch!!!
MadHatter
i am such a bloody fan of this drama, i just finished watching it and i cried so much! this drama, is probably the best i have seen in a LONG time and it was based on a true story!

very touching, the only bad thing was that i skipped episode 9 and 10 because it didn't load...but i will definatly try it again! i love this...and the main actor and actress in it make such a cute couple!

very handsome and pretty in real life as well!!!
