Cast members of TVB's "Wandering Hero Medics" including Nick Cheung, Sonija Kwok, Raymond Lam and Sharon Chan set off for a location shoot in Kenya on Monday and as they left in the early evening after the schools had finished, many student fans were at the airport to see them off as well as some tourists who asked to be photographed with them.

The shoot will take a total of 21 days, so both Sonija and Nick took two big suitcases with them. Nick has brought a lot of cup noodles and cans of food with him laughing: "I will remain committed to the Chinese meal and hope that the shoot will be speedy so I can come back soon." As well as the food, Nick has also brought some medication as last time when he was in Guangxi, he had a fever and had to borrow some medicine from someone else, so he is prepared this time. The biggest regret for Nick is being unable to be present for the Hong Kong Premiere of his Cannes nominated film "Breaking News", leaving him a little longing. Although he was able to be at the Cannes premiere, the film is after all a local production and he had hoped to take part in the Hong Kong promotional events. However, even though he is not in Hong Kong, he will still call back and ask about the results and after the location shoot, he will be taking wife Esther Kwan on holiday to recharge.

Sonija has already had all her innoculations in May and one of the injections can cause possible side effects of blotchiness and vaginal infections, but she says she was fine. For this trip, she has brough facial masks, insect repellant and a pillow and not so much food. She has heard that they do bartering over there, so maybe she can swap some of her masks for food. As she does not have many scenes on this shoot, she has brought her camera with her so she can photograph the surroundings and she will take time out to go for the spa and a spot of sunbathing, in the hope she can gain a healthy tan. She will also be dropping by on the Miss Hong Kong shoot. As for the short separation from boyfriend Deric Wan, she says that he was worried about her falling ill over there and although the long distance calls are expensive, they will still keep up their one call a day habit.

TVB's new series "Tossing Rain Turning Cloud" is currently filming in Beijing and yesterday TVB distributed some scene photos to the press that shows Raymond hugging Sonija Kwok followed by him holding Charmaine Sheh, enjoying plenty of beauty, whilst Bosco Wong is not far behind enjoying a kiss scene with Sharon Chan. When the reporters called Charmaine in Beijing, she admits that there is a triangular affair in the show between her, Raymond and Sonija, but Sonija's character is only interested in using him and they split up in the end. Charmaine and Raymond will also have a kissing scene, that they have already finished filming.

Talking of Gigi Lai's recent slip that she would go shopping with Maggie Cheung, but then making amends the next day by adding that she can have intimate chats with Charmaine, then hoping the Charmaine will not get the wrong idea from her comments, Charmaine says that she has received a call from Gigi's manager who hopes that she will not be mad. Charmaine says: "I have not read the reports, so I don't know what it was about. (Will you call Gigi yourself?) I have not called her and there is no need to because there is nothing going on between us."

As for Bosco, he was not embarrassed at all with his earlier kiss scene with Sharon because they know each other quite well and the scene was completed in three takes. He also says that with over ten degrees difference between day and night time temperatures in Beijing, cold at night and hot in the day, many of the cast and crew have taken ill. However, they are all well prepared and no-one has fainted on set. He also says: "As it was too hot earlier and we were filming in a very exposed place, I did feel a little faint, but luckily I was spotted by a crew member who immediately told me to sit down and drink water, so I was okay. (Do you still go out for supper?) Of course not! Now I am busy filming every day, so I don't have time."

Nick Cheung, Sonija Kwok, Sharon Chan, Bosco Wong, Andrew Lian and Eileen Yeow were the cast members from "The Last Breakthrough" appearing on the latest episode of "Super Trio Show" filmed two nights ago. Eric Tsang wore a t-shirt featuring a face with bra cups for eyelids that was rather amusing, so to complement this, Nick pulled up his t-shirt revealing his bare chest and caused many cheers from the audience. Eric laughs: "I thought I'd gone to Dalian!" As the other guests put on rather crude poses at the beginning of the show, Nick commented: "Sexy flirtatious doctors and easy nurses!"

When Sonija appeared, the joke was around Deric Wan and 'Ngor Bun Sin Nei' [Play on words: 'Ngor Bun Sin Leung' was the name of one of Deric's series, Sonija's Chinese Name is Kwok Sin Nei.], then on the stony path game, when Nick picked her up, he put his hand on her thigh and her necklace became caught on his top. Then later on during the eating race, Nick sprayed Sonija with biscuit crumbs and was made to repeat the contest by Eric and in the Description game, he had to try and show 'Rolling in the Sand' using Sonija who was the 'dummy'. When Sonija was later asked if she was touched on the thigh by Nick, she said: "No, it's just fun!"

When Sharon had to carry Bosco, she was forced by Eric to say as she jumped up: "There is no chance between Timmy Hung and me!". When Bosco tried to describe 'Marital Rites', he did some rather suggestive moves on the dummy and when he used 'dummy' Sharon to describe 'Monkey stealing peaches', he was pushing the limits as he reached for her sensitive areas! When Andrew was playing the 'Pass the Buck' game, he used the phrase 'PK' [abbreviation for Chinese expletive] several times and Eric laughed that he only knows these two English letters.

In the quiz round, Nick had to ask for help several times from Eric and was a pretty poor show. He explained: "I went first and wasn't confident and Chin Ka Lok kept messing around." He also says that he has had a hair cut and is doing a lot of exercise recently, so he seems to have lost a lot of weight from his face.

wow, what a b*tchy character in dream of colours. i can't stand her character, she's too pretty for that. lol, which is one of the reasons i stopped watching the show, she's so evil. but ofcource, i'm guessing in the end she's suddenly non evil. i think i saw her in summer heat? as the lawyer who goes out with raymond cho? i think that was her...can't wait to see her new serial 'the last breakthorugh' and 'rain and cloud' where she actually plays non evil characters, atleast i hope...

I also remember her being in the W Files as.. the girl who likes Matt Yeung always dressing all fancy shes really pretty and a good actress so far i can tell in DOC she was so evil and she was convincing im looking forward to see her other series

Nick Cheung, Raymond Lam, Sonija Kwok, Sharon Chan, Leila Tong and Bosco Wong were among the cast members of "The Last Breakthrough" taking part in a promotional event for TVB and the Kenyan Tourist Board for the start of a campaign on the tramways, setting out from Sai Wan tram terminus and going all the way to the other end of the line at Causeway Bay. For the next six weeks, there will be banners featuring pictures from "Breakthrough" and Kenya on out outside of six traditional styled trams. When Sonija and Nick posed for photos beside the tram, some fans called out to Nick: "Nick- you have lost so much weight, it pains us to see you like this!" making him rather embarrassed.

Nick says: "After losing weight, a lot of people have said I look more handsome and everyone has praised me. Actually I only lost a few pounds, but maybe it is my skin head! Recently I have been having some health treatment, so my food has been plainer and I have a four and a half pack with just a little bit of fat on my abdomen."

Not having been on a tram since she entered showbiz, Sonija said that as she was not working last night, she had arranged to meet up with some other cast members from the show to watch the first episode together, but as some people had to attend the Sales Presentation, the event did not take place. She says that filming "Breakthrough" was great fun and everyone gave her the nickname "Song Nei" (Crazy Nei) because this sounded like her English name and and she was very playful on the set. Sonija laughs: "At first, everyone thought that as I was from Miss Hong Kong, that i would be very quiet and not speak. Then they found out that I am not only able to play with them, but we had a good time as well, so they gave me this name. People have called me this before, but I have not heard it for a long time now."

Sonija also took part in an episode of "Super Trio Show" with Nick and although she was rolled around on the floor and soaked with water, she still had fond memories of the show. As she also won a number of prizes, she says that she will go back again if she has the chance.

Raymond feels that the time that "Breakthrough" is being aired at is much better than "Twin of Brothers" because people have to work late now and the later time slot is better. He says: "They are repeating 'Survivor's Law' late at night at the moment and a lot of people are watching that and saying it is good, but when it was aired during prime time, the reaction was not as enthusiastic." With the premiere of "Breakthrough" yesterday, did he call some friends and family together to watch it? He laughs: "I don't need to because they will automatically support me." Raymond himself did not have time to watch, but he has recorded it to watch later. He does not encourage other people to record it though because this is not counted in the ratings!

Sharon Chan has been working hard at her career in recent years and she is thankful to her senior Sheren Tang for helping her loosen the knots in her heart. Sheren often encourages her juniors to join the Christian faith, even if she does not know them and it was this sincerity that touched Sharon so much that she finally opened her heart and accepted the faith.

As Sharon grows more and more mature, experiencing the pain of losing her love and the death of her father, she has grown up now and sees the 'Most Extraordinary Female Artiste' Sheren's achievements has her own goals. When she was down in the past, Sharon would turn to the counsel of this veteran and it was this support that pulled her through: "Last year I did not know Sheren too well and my mother was actually friendlier with her . when she found out that I was unhappy, she called me and I was rather surprised, but she is my idol and being able to share my troubles with someone I admire so much, then of course I accepted her help."

That night, Sheren listened patiently to Sharon's innermost troubles and gave her a lot of advice and eventually the two became great friends. Sharon says: "I knwo that Sheren often calls up other artistes, whether she knows them or not and she will encourage them to join her at church. What I admire about her is not just her acting talent, but also her heart." Sharon's mother has tried to encourage her for many years to join the church, but it was only after Sheren's appearnce that Sharon was willing to accept the faith.

Since her split with Matt Yeung, Sharon has not had another romance. Even the earlier rumours linking her with Timmy Hung were just a joke as far as she was concerned. She said most definitely: "At the moment the sunshine is only just starting to appear in my career, so in the next couple of years at least, I will not be thinking about dating because I am someone who will put my all into a relationship and if I start to date, then I am afraid that I will not be able to concentrate on my work."

Moses Chan, Yoyo Mung and Sharon Chan were filming yesterday on location for "Rouge and Powder" on a hillside in a scene that tells of Moses being kidnapped, but rescued by the two ladies. The three run for their lives down the hill and luckily neither Yoyo nor Sharon are afraid of heights.

Sharon also has to wear high heels to film this scene and in the end the heels were completely worn down. Yoyo was a little smarter as she had changed into some pumps to film the scene. She says: "Originally my shoes were two and a half inches high and to run in them meant that it was quite easy to twist my ankle, so I wore a similar coloured pair of pumps instead." As for this show being a female focussed series, there has been very little gossip so far on the set. Yoyo says proudly: "Yes, I am quite lucky in that I do not attract much gossip. The best way to avoid it is to reach an understanding with everyone not to let any rumours affect our friendship. Gigi and I are always joking and we all have a good time playing around."

Sharon does have some bad memories of hillside filming though as she recalls: "Once when I was filming in Beijing on a hillside, I saw that there was a woman on the opposite side of a valley holding a baby. As it was quite close to the 14th day of the 7th month (Chinese Ghost Festival) and no-one around me could see her, I was quite afraid to start with. Luckily it was not night filming."

Yoyo Mung and Sharon Chan were filming at an old fashioned cinema in Fanling for "Rouge and Powder" yesterday in a scene where Yoyo is helping Moses Chan to court Sharon by telling him to take her to the cinema, so Yoyo hands the tickets to Sharon.

Yoyo exclaims that she never knew there were still cinemas in Hong Kong so old and she remembers that when she was in high school, she played truant and went to a cinema in Sheung Shui to watch "All About Ah Long" and she sat on wooden benches to watch the show. She laughs: "At the time, everyone had seen the film and if I didn't watch it then it would be behind the times, so I had to skip school to go and watch it."

In real life, has she helped a man to court a girl? She says she has not because if they split up, then she would feel guilty about hurting the girl. However, she has introduced men to her female friends, for example during filming for "Split Second", she met a girl through Alex Fong's girlfriend Mok Ho Yan and they became friends, then she introduced her to a male friend and they started dating. They are getting along very well and for Yoyo, she feels happy to have done a good deed.

Sharon wore a chipao for yesterday's scene and as she suffers from low blood sugar, she is very susceptible to the cold, so she wore two pairs of tights and also plenty of heat pads underneath. Despite her condtion, Sharon still wants to lose weight and she will only eat boiled vegetables after work each evening. She says: "I can't help it, the producer says he thinks my cheeks are rather puffy and filming this period series does require a slimmer face to look good. I just love eating too much, so I did put on a lot of weight before and when I wear the chipao's for this show, I am afraid to breathe too deeply in case I split the clasp. Once when Moses heard the buttons pop, he couldn't help laughing, so I really have to lose weight."

Recently busy filming for TVB's "Rouge and Powder", Sharon Chan gave up her valuable break time between shoots to spend time with her group of dedicated fans and celebrate her 26th birthday. During the event, the fans gave her many words of support and she was moved to tears, almost crying out loud.

The fans were very thoughtful and made her many presents, including lucky stars, a scarf and birthday cards. Sharon loved all the gifts she received and was very thankful to her fans for their gestures. When asked how Sharon will be repaying her fans, she says: "Of course I will work hard and I have agreed to hold more functions with them and see them a little more."

The 3 of them really kind of look alike. Somemore they were all very tall and slim. But I think Sharon was the tallest amongst them. 174cm! That's tall!

Kevin Cheng Ka Wing and Sharon Chan Man Chi yesterday worked on location on their TVB series FEI DUEN LAU CHEUNG FU JI BING (TRIM SHORT GROW LONG FATHER SON TROOP). Nearby store employees complained about the shoot affecting their business. Security contacted the police. The police confirmed that the location crew had a permit and the shoot did not affect the public, thus it did not interfere. The team finished the shoot and departed.

Kate to Cut Hair after Stepping Down

To promote the environmental message, Kate Tsui, Queenie Chu and Sharon Chan held a "Happy Green Party" at a Shatin school earlier and they put on a play about bugs in a bin to spread the message. Kate will begin filming for new series "It's Hard to be A Woman" next week, where she will appear with a new image: "To tie in with my character's tomboy image, I will be cutting my hair short, but I will wait until after the Miss Hong Kong pageant before I cut it."

Sharon reveals that she will be hosting this year's "Children's Song Selections", working with Lydia Shum and Jerry Lamb. With their experience, Sharon feels the pressure: "This is the first time I have hosted such a big show and I have heard that Lydia is very strict. I won't be able to sleep for several nights beforehand!"

Just watched her host for the first time a big event - TVB Kid's Music Award. Not too bad at all....
Well, she's tall and pretty. Somehow she reminds me of the korean actress who acted as the villain in All About Eve (don't know her name). They look quite alike.

Sharon Chan's weird fan insults Charlene Choi

Yesterday, Sharon Chan attended a function and was frightened by a male fan. The fan did not stop yelling and gave a rose to Sharon personally. The fan also said loudly that Twins member, Charlene Choi has the body of an ‘airport’, flat and nothing special. The male fan’s actions were very strange. Sharon says, “I have seen this fan before. Last time he gave me DVDs and said that I starred in them. But I did not take part in the movies at all!”

This year's TVB Anniversary series "Beneath the Charm" will be broadcasting this Monday. In order to promote for the grand production series, the cast including Moses Chan, Gigi Lai, Yoyo Mung, Anne Heung, Mandy Cho, Sharon Chan, Kiki Sheung and others demonstrated their costumes in the series, as they did a mini catwalk show for the audience. Gigi Lai was the first to walk on the stage, displaying some beautiful costumes. Although Gigi had fans brining her flowers, Moses and Anne seems to have the most support and applause from the audience.

Moreover, Gigi was singing the themesong for this series in public for the first time yesterday. Releasing an album ten years ago, Gigi felt a bit nervous while singing for the audience, thus made her feel pressured. Gigi says that about the show being more on the "feminine" side, they asked Gigi to sing the themesong, but Gigi says that Moses also has a great voice. When asked if Gigi has high expectations for the series and the ratings, Gigi says that the script for this series is excellent, thus she feels confident. Gigi was also asked whether or not she feels that she will win the "Best Actress" award again this year, Gigi says of course she wants to win. When asked who is her pick for the "Best Actress" award this year, Gigi chose Liza Wang.

While walking on the stage, Moses Chan received many applauses from the audience. At the TVB Anniversary lighting ceremony yesterday, Moses received a lot of votes from fellow artists. Moses has a total of four nominations this year, in which "Best Actor" is the most prominent. In response, Moses feels that he is honored to be nominated and given many opportunities the past year. Just being nominated makes Moses feel thrilled. When asked for Moses' pick for the winner of "Best Actor" this year, he chose Roger Kwok.

Yesterday at the catwalk, Anne Heung was the female actress that received the most applauses and support. When asked for her thoughts, Anne smiles and says, "Maybe it's because my series "Hidden Treasures" has been broadcasting lately and my performance and role for that series was different from my other series." Anne expresses that she really anticipated for "Beneath the Charm" to be broadcasted, because her character is pitiful, yet manipulative.

As for Yoyo Mung, in the series she wears mostly Western-style clothing during that era. When asked if other actresses in the series are wearing beautiful and attractive chipaos making her feel less 'attractive', Yoyo says, "Actually they envy me for wearing these Western clothing because it is more comfortable than wearing chipaos while filming."

A group of cast members of this year's anniversary series "Beneath the Charm," including Gigi Lai, Moses Chan, Anne Heung, Sharon Chan, Mandy Cho, and others wore costumes from the series to promote at the '2005 K CAR Hospital Charity Event.' The artists were involved in the activities with the audiences, in which they gave prizes to the winners.

Gigi Lai says that in the past, she did not have many opportunities to come in contact with the audiences. Many of Gigi's fans had her all her albums, as well as movies, photos, etcetra. Gigi expresses that these promotions gives her a closer relationship with the audiences and Gigi feels happy for their support.
