Shirley Yeung, Patrick Tang, Timmy Hung, Bel Lau, Fiona Yuen and Kenneth Ma took part in filming for "Going for Gold Get Set Go" and with his ever joking mouth, host Chin Ka Lok was making fun of the guests by mentioning Marsha Yuen, Cathy Tsui and Gregory Lee all evening, saying to Shirley: "It would be a great fortune to marry into the Lee family, even the horses would support you. Shirley has a fit body, thanks to the horses - if you win this game, the Lee family will give you their stable!" When she heard this, Shirley responded laughing: "He is always joking, but if he doesn't joke, we can't laugh! I don't mind at all."

In another game, Bel jumped and landed with a bump on the mat and when she had to sit up to pass the basketball, she seemed to be very out of breath. As for Carrie Lee who has been met with critisms about her weight, she seemed calm and said that this viewer was targeting her. She says: "I haven't been unhappy about this becuase I know that I cannot make everyone happy and there will be those who like me and those who don't. (Will you accept the views?) I will accept constructive critism, but discriminatory comments cannot be accepted."

Niki Chow and Patrick Tang took part in a promotional event for "Guide Dog Little Q" to raise money for the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Animals and the organisers had arranged for some trained dogs to do tricks, attracting the applause from the audience. When one little poodle did a handstand, Niki was very happy and it turned out that this dog was also called Nikki, making her laugh. Niki laughs that this was the first time she had met with a dog that had the same name as her and it was very amusing. She has some dogs herself and would like to take them to be trained so that they do not keep losing their temper.

Patrick also has a poodle, but he says his knowledge about dogs is lacking and he is currently looking for a partner for his dog to mate with. Earlier whilst filming in Athens, his group were accused of upsetting the gods in the temple, but Patrick insist that they did not do anything out of the ordinary or disrepectful whilst filming in the temple and this had all been a misunderstanding. As the curator in the temple was very upset, they were instructed to stop filming very shortly after they started and Patrick says that they do have the ultimate respect for every place they go to and will not cause trouble.

Also, Roy Chow has been sentenced to 18 months counselling, but Patrick says he has not yet been able to contact him. He believes that after this incident, Roy will know what he should and should not do. Hearing that the judge had watched the film "Truth or Dare", Patrick found this rather funny and said: "When Roy heard this, he must have found it amusing too!"

Jessica Hsuan, Sunny Chan, Patrick Tang and Dave Wang were among the cast members gathered at TVB City yesterday for the costume fitting of new series "My Wife, Your Honour". Jessica reveals that when she and Sunny worked together on "Secret of the Heart", he had promised her that if no-one wanted her, he would marry her, but when Jessica found out that he was already married, she was devastated and joked that if no-one wants her in the future, she would have to be Sunny's mistress.

Jessica plays a judge in the new show and responding to the comments that TVB had tailor made this show for her in order to keep her on their books, Jessica denies this, but pledges to treasure this opportunity she has been given, because TVB rarely makes shows that have the female as the central lead.

In the series, Jessica and Sunny have a baby and at the event, Sunny would not let go of the baby actor, constantly telling the baby to call him 'Daddy' and attracting jokes that he is extremely broody. Sunny admits that he has been busy making babies with his wife, but as he will be filming, this will be put back by a few months.

Also, Patrick denies rumours that he has been actively flirting with Bobo Chan, saying that you don't need to flirt with friends, just communicate and whenever he goes out with Bobo, his girlfriend Marsha Yuen is well aware of it, so their relationship is not affected at all. He will not allow this to affect his friendship with Bobo either, praising her for being pretty and direct. As their experience in the music industry are similar in that they are struggling, then they feel a connection and can talk to each other, but she has not mentioned anything about her split with Edison Chen.

After over ten years away from TVB series, Dave Wang was back in TVB for discussions about the show yesterday and he indicates that he is back after his old friend Tommy Leung offered the invitation and he jumped at the chance to return a favour to him.

Dave says: "I have not filmed any TVB series for over ten years and although I made a telemovie earlier, this is the first time I have played a judge. My character is very stubborn but honest and is even a little amusing, with scenes from beginning to end." As for whether Dave will be singing the theme song, he says that this will be down to his record company to arrange and his salary is okay. When asked how much 'okay' was, he says: "Usually for singers to film in TVB series, the fee is a few hundred dollars an episode, but not for me. You would not get me for a few hundred dollars, but we all know that filming for TVB will not earn you as much as the companies elsewhere." Although Dave indicates he is back purely on the grounds of doing Tommy a favour, there are still rumours that the real reason he is back is that there are not as many opportunities outside. He says: "All I have to do is agree and there will be plenty of opportunities for me. In any case, I am happy to work with Jessica and Sunny and I have made arrangements with Tommy that I will have enough time to rest."

Dave reveals that his asthma was very bad in March and April and the medication left him bloated and swollen. Now the hard times are past and he will not let himself be so swollen any more. However, he is worried that filming another series will affect his voice, so he has been looking after himself. He will also be appearing in many of his own suits in the show.

There was a promotion showing off Mickey Mouse jewellery yesterday and big kids Cerina De Graca and Patrick Tang were guest models at the event. Cerina's most valuable item was a Minnie Mouse brooch worth $148,500. Although this set of jewellery was not extremely valuable, Cerina says she loves cute accessories and the value is not important as long as she likes it. When she was younger, she was afraid of her boyfriends buying her jewellery but she does not mind now, unfortunately she does not have a boyfriend yet.

TVB's new series "Mystery Trend" held its blessing ceremony yesterday in Sai Kung's Ho Chung Che Kung Temple and the cast members taking part included Shirley Yeung, Mandy Cho, Sharon Chan, Winnie Shum, Patrick Tang, Isabella Leung, Deep Ng, Renee Tai, Yan Ng and Edwin Siu. This series will be as its name suggest centring around some unexplained phenomena and each episode will have a different story. It is planned to be aired in around January next year.

Patrick Tang's progress in recent years has been so-so and his horoscope clashes with the zodiac this year, so earlier, he joined three friends to go and see a soothsayer. As a lot of what this person said was true, a previously rather sceptical Patrick says it is better to believe than not to. He says: "This person even knew that I have a mole on the most secret part of my body!"

Earlier, Patrick's girlfriend Marsha Yuen appeared on her own at an event and when asked about their relationship she indicated that they had not been in touch for a while, giving rise to speculation that their romance was over. When Patrick was asked whether Marsha was his wife-to-be, he did not respond directly, just saying: "Having a career is very important, so I am putting it first for now and when I am very successful, we will see if she is the one. As she says, she is also putting her career first, so it does not matter. There are many priorities in life and she is putting romance down for a while. I am very serious and respectful towards her. (Does this mean you have split up?) Depends how you look at it. (How do you see it?) I would like to put my career first and the most important thing is to the best I can. I will respect whatever she says. (Have you discussed the matter?) Yes, she is a very ambitious person and she has always wanted to do a musical and the scope for this is much greater in America so if she wants to put aside love to fulfil her ambition then I will respect this. (Will she be going to further her career in America?) We do not know yet, but I hope she will find what she wants."

Patrick has now signed for TVB management and is now looking for a new record company to sign in the hope that he can release a new album next year.

Former Miss Hong Kongs Shirley and Mandy were also at the event and Shirley says that thankfully she has never met with any supernatural occurrences. Although she is afraid of ghosts, she loves watching ghost films, where she will shriek out loud.

In the new series, Shirley plays a spirit that can see into the future and when it was mentioned that many showbiz stars like to read their futures, Shirley says she does not like this because if she finds out that something bad will happen then she will be even more afraid, so letting nature run its course is better. With Christmas coming will Shirley be celebrating with boyfriend Gregory Lee? She says that they have not arranged anything yet and then changed the subject saying: "I have just been to England for four to five days doing promotion for the company and I was singing on stage for the first time in a foreign country. I sung three songs and if I have time, I would like to have singing lessons from a tutor."

Mandy is a somewhat cowardly person and she remembers when she was younger and watching horror films, she would place herself between her sisters. Later when she was studying in America, there was a power cut and as she was living alone, then she became braver after two or three times without power.

When asked if she has any supernatural experiences, Mandy says that when she was at secondary school, she was doing homework with a friend at home late into the night and she saw a figure jumping out of a TV that was switched off that turned her pale with fright. Her friend did not see anything though, she she just puts it down to visions because she was too tired. She laughs: "I have not done anything wrong, so I am not afraid."

Filming a ghost show for the first time, Yan Ng has requested a peace charm in the hope that filming will go well. She says: "I have experienced not being able to move when I have woken up from sleeping, like being crushed by a ghost, but my mother explained that this was just because I was too tired and my imagination tricking my mind."

I really liked his song from TGUIT, especially the chorus. Couldn't believe he sang it as it didn't seem like his voice.

oh man, this dude is so adorable and quite good in acting too. I just loved his performance in Into Thin Air. I heard he's being nominated for the Most Improved award for that role and even though he's probably not going to get it, I'm still happy for him. Hope to see him in more series in the future!

Who else thinks that Patrick Tang is an underrated singer?

Patrick Tang is such a great singer. He made his debut around the same time as Denise Ho and both of them didn't have the songs to make it big but finally Denise got the songs she needed and she as the popularity she deserves for her singing voice. Patrick is lacking those songs. But once he gets that one song, no one will doubt his singing voice.

No one knew that Denise had such a great voice until she had that one song that made her big, now no one is doubting her singing abilities. So until Patrick gets that one song, no one will know the great voice he has.

I'm sorry to say but, a lot of people follow the crowd and if a singer (with a good voice) is popular people will say that he/she has a good voice, but if a singer (with a good voice) is not popular, only a handful of people will say he/she has a good voice. This goes for both Denise (in the past) and Patrick (now).

For example, the All About Men album, Patrick did not have the best song (I personally didn't like it either) but that doesn't mean that he isn't a great singer, yet people say that he can't sing. BUT Eason had a song in the same album which wasn't the most attractive either (which I also didn't personally like) and people said that Eason is a good singer but its was just the song that they didn't like. The difference in the situation -- Eason has a top-singer status, whereas Patrick is a struggling singer.

I understand that everyone has their own opinions and their own personal taste so I'm not trying to change anyone's views, but rather I'm just trying to point out that one should not judge a singer by the songs, but rather by their voice. There are singers out there where I just don't like their voice at all, but I do admitt that they can sing; therefore, I don't criticize their status in the music industry.

On January 1st, Patrick Tang has signed with 盟漢傳媒, becoming the first male singer of that company. His first album will release on May or June which will be his best birthday present this year (May 6th). Last December, his contract has expired with his previous company and has discussed whether to renew it or not but if he does he would have to sign for 6 years. He expressed that it is a good company but the new company wanted newcomers and a new impact so he signed witht hat company.
