Congratulation to Liza and Roger to win the best actor/actress award

Just as what I predicted. I wish Moses/Michael coulda won. I know Roger is doing a very good job and stuff but then he shouldn't have won twice and let Moses win. For Liza, of course she's going to win. She's TVB "big sister" and like they respect her and stuff.. gosh -.- And then Niki won.. It's all about the ratings & show isn't it? Since Liza was in WOIL, Roger in LMS, Niki in TGC and Bosco in WOIL .. All had good ratings. But anywayss, i cant believe Bernice didnt win LOL cause they were promoting her like crazy. Well anyways, i'm happy that Angela won =)

Sorry if I sound rude or anything, but I'm very dissapointed with this year's results. Although Roger did a good job (as always) but still I was hoping someone else would win, as he has already won before.... As for Liza.... I admit she's a great actress but I won't say her acting's as good as before especially in War of the in-Laws.... ' What happened to Kenix??? Perhaps it's because of the negative news she's been getting.... ' And what bugs me the most is Melissa's not even in the Top 5... Plus who would imagine Ha Yu would win.....

Still can't recover from my shock! I think the one I'll agree most is Bosco winning... '

i am onli happy for Angela for her great performance as ah Ho... n Bosco... the rest too expected.... but WOIL was damn good n it won.. which is great

As for Liza..... I still prefer her previous roles....... Plus Melissa's not even in Top 5!!! She's improved ALOT!!!!!!!!!! grrr!!! One of these days I'm gonna kill TVB... Roger wins...I guess it's ok, although I was hoping for Moses, Michael Miu, or even Joe Ma.

as for most improved....what the heck? this is most wrong out of all categories. Leila and Bernice deserve it much more so than her...argh.........

Best Actor - Roger. I'm satisfied, I've seen some bits at my friend's house, and his acting looks good. But I think Nick Cheung deserves it though. Joe Ma didn't deserve it at all. His facial expressions are the same in every movie! No matter if the characters are different, his expressions are always the same. Moses still needs more time before he can win best actor. Maybe next year?

Best Actress- Liza Wang. I'm so happy she won! She won based on popularity; the majority are rooting for her in China. But overseas, Kenix is more popular. Anyways, congrats to Liza, she truly deserves it. Her portrayal in WOIL was a fresh, different character. She made her character intriguing and likeable despite the negativity in her character. Kenix's performance this year is no different from her previous acting. It has nothing to do with her roles; her character in RDOV is quite different. She makes her character look flat and uninteresting. If it was Maggie Cheung acting out that role, Maggie would make her character have depth. Maggie is an actress that acts with her eyes and no matter what character she has, she is able to make it intriguing. Which Kenix always fails to do.

Best Supporting Actress- Niki. I’m disappointed but at least Bernice didn’t win. Leila should’ve gotten this award. Leila would’ve won it if she was contracted. Why isn’t she anyways?

Top 5- I'm satisfied. Congrats to Myolie for making it top 5.

the outcome is so predictable..and yet kind of disappointing..

well id ont mind roger winning it..cause he's so well known and popular in hk for "ah wong"..and it is really funny! but liza...absolutely NO COMMENT!! honestly..it's so obvious that it was "loi ding". if liza didnt get it..there would propbably be an arguement going on right now!! it's all about settling and satisfying the "go chang" (high level) ppl~ haha

It is pretty predictable like always.
Best Male Actor - I predicted it would probably be Roger and Moses. I like both of them but hopefully Moses can win next year. I hoped he can win for TGC.
Best Female Actor - Pretty predictable that Liza Wang. Like missLILY said, she is the big sister and the 'elder'.
But the rest, I'm happy that Bosco, Niki, Angela Tong, and WOIL won.

Female actress award, very predictable. Liza won mostly because she's respected and because of her status at TVB. She wasn't spectactular in WOIL although I have to admit that she's very dedicated to acting. Kenix should've won, I agree that she's been waiting such a long time for this when most of the other fa dans have already won once.

Roger's won twice for Ah Wong now! But Jessica hasn't ever won for her role as Loh Por Jai, oh well. I would be really surprised if she did win considering all the 'politics' at TVB.

I thought Moses would win for actor though.. he's had so many series out and TGC gained good ratings as well. Hmm

i was very disappointed as well....except for bosco and angela.....really happy for him........about roger, i am not saying he is not good but i think his character is just eactly the same as the ancient one....i dont reallly interest anymore.....but for moses, he really trying different roles and the ratings are good too....i just dont why he cant get it.................well, i hope he will win next year.

Aaargh!!! can't believe Liza Wang got best actress!!! so angry.... i would've been happy if any other person had got it, just not her. Aaargh!!! so anoyed....
i was kinda suprised that Roger got best actor 'cos i thought that joe would get it for sure this year. But i haven't watched that series yet so i can't really judge on his acting yet.
i'm happy that bosco and niki got awards though. i really think that they deserved it. haha, i loved niki's speech, so so funny. She sounded so lost...

Best Actor

I really can't believe that TVB would give him another award for the Ah Wong role. I find his interpretation of Ah Wong in LMS a little bit forced. Maybe because they had the pressure of living up to Square Pegs. Or maybe I'm just sick of Ah Wong. He was cute and refreshing the first time. A second time (for 32 episodes this time!) is just tired and hackneyed.

But honestly, no one "politically correct" stood out this year, so they may as well give it to the yat gor. However, I'm heaps happy that Ah Miu and King Sir made it into the top 5 in the end. A little surprised that Bobby and Bowie were booted out.

Best Actress

Honestly, after the whole Kenix-Liza-Gigi ordeal, what was everyone expecting? No surprise here.

I was a little surprised that Roger won the best male as he was good but had won the award before playing the same role.... i expected someone like joe ma to win it this time cos he did a great job in revolving doors of vengeance.

I was also surprised that liza won the best actress award because I thought Myolie would of won it..... she was great in all the series that she was in this year and i would of thought that she deserved it a bit more.

However, not taking anything away from the winners since they did perform very very well in their series!!

Roger deserves the award, but he already had one award and that was for the same kind of role.
Lisa gets a award because she is getting old, but I didn't like her in WOIL..

i think liza did an awesome job in woil so she deserves the award. Roger also performed excellently in LMS but i feel that he already got the same award for the same type of character. i think they should of given it to someone else and give another type of award for his character.

To be honest, I'm not too happy with Liza achieving best actress. I mean, come on, Kenix was good, so much effort etc. I mean yeah, Liza was good and she also put alot of effort into WOIL. Kenix has been at the top 5 since 2003, and i mean give her a chance.

IMO, Liza won due to her connection with people. I'm not saying like she cheated or anything, but like, she's been in TVB for a long while, people respect her. Moreover, if she didn't get the award, it would be quite devastating, afterall she is Lisa Wang. What do you expect?

i agree TVB is so corupt.....its not judge on who has the best talent, but its who you are and who you know that determines who wins...its the same every year tvb should get its act together..

yah, roger is a great actor in all, bu ti find it really stupid that he won both times for the same character, he already had recognition from last time, i was actually rooting for moses to win, he did a great job.

100% agree with you. I made a topic like this before, I seriously think the woman needs to step down from the awards. She's too OVERQUALIFIED for the awards. She is TVB's "yat chei", and TVB will always give her "face". If she continues running in the awards, she may win EVERY year. Actually I would like to see her get nominated, and if TVB gives the best female lead award to someone else, that would be the only way I see that she deserved the best female lead and not because she's Liza Wang. And plus, I would LOVE to see the look on her face.

Even when they were announcing the best female lead, one of the hosts say "we all know who it is...". Well, doesn't that give it away?

i believe roger deserved the award for best actor, he presented another great performance once again as reliving ah wong; only this time in modern times. his facial expressions were natural and he was able to make it look real. but sometimes overexaggerated however, still well done. if there was another actor deserving the award i would have chose joe ma for martin ko in rdov.

liza won again, and i think she should step down from her position and give others a chance. fairly predictable that tvb would give her the award this year just for one series. i believe myolie did a better job than she did. and her character was quite annoying and overexaggerated at some points. i would've preferred to see kenix get the award however for her performance as Becky in RDOV.

but to sum it all up tvb gives the awards to their 'favorites' and veterans of the company.

Ha, I agree with Autumn tears. I surely like to congradulate Roger with his award. He deserves it. The performance he has given to give a fresh look to A wong certainly match up with it. But I had hoped another win too. Couldn't they have a tie or something? Guess that's asking to much.

Liza's award should be given to another. I don't think being funny and overexagerated deserves an award. The performance was surely formidable and likable, but not BEST.

Yeah, I agree, if she's in the running every year and she most likely will be (she has another series in the making, When Rules Turn Lose with Sammul and Myolie), she has a very high chance of winning again. That's just not fair to all those others who have put in a lot of work & deserve to win also. And it's also hard for TVB to decide what to do cuz they can't "disrespect" Liza by not giving her the award, yet she can't win EVERY year..

Hmm, that's what happened at the 34th anniversary also, when Patrick Tse was presenting the award he's like "well, if it's me who's presenting it.. then you pretty much know who it is..." and all the other actresses looked at Liza, haha xD

But well. She's won already, no use complaining hey? Look at what happened with Sheren and Gigi last year, but TVB still gave the award to Gigi. Let's just say that we all know who the true winners should've been for the awards And until next year when TVB may decide to clean up their act, congratulations to Liza.

i thought this year moses was gonna win best actor,but roger won it , i cant believe the guy from family something was in the top 5 for best actor,i think lisa deserve best actress but i wanted someone else to win, like kenix,she really work hard, i hope next year,moses wins best actor and kenix wins best actress

I don't know why they gave Lisa the award.. But it's so unfair!!!! Lisa is like competing with actresses half her age!!! Of course she's going to win!!! She has been in the showbiz way longer than the other actresses that was running for the award! I guess they had to give her face (bay mein her)

I was so disappointed Niki won the Best Support Actress. I don't think she's as good as any of those candidate.

i didnt really expect roger to win...because a life made simple was so new....i thought some of the actors also had big chances....but i guess this proves the success of Ah Wong!!

roger is harsh a good actor.. he kicks arsh in a wong... his acting was inspiring and he hands down deserves this award.. as far as "a jei" i dunno, they just gave it to her casue she's "a jei" LOL..

i really agree with tvb that Roger Kwok did a great job in the serie: "Life made simple"
but i disagree that Liza Wang wins the best actress... why would liza win this serie... i really don't understand this point... btw, i didn't really like her acting in the serie: "War of in law"..

Roger's new series Life made Simple was still showing on TVB when he received the nomination. It wasn't fair and besides he was giving another award for playing the exact same role. Moses would have gotten it instead
Liza Wang, gosh I love so much. She is a good actress, but not a great one. I thought Myolie worked really hard this year. 5 series in one year, I thought she should have gotten it.
