[News]

Bowie Lam, Christine Ng, Deric Wan, Cindy Au, Kwok Fung and Mary Hon were filming in a hotel yesterday for new series "Grey Tracks" for a ball scene where Kwok Fung and Mary Hon's characters were celebrating their 25th Wedding anniversary with a lavish party.

In real life, Kwok Fung and his wife Au Yeung Pui Shan have just celebrated their silver wedding anniversary on 9th September last year and this year will be their 26th year together. Talking of it not being easy to maintain a marriage for such a long time, Kwok Fung says: "Other people find it hard, but we found it really easy. How to keep the marriage going? The main thing is down to the hard work from both people, we will never feel like old husband old wife, because Pui Shan treats me like a child and I admit that I will never grow up. Don't see the Pui Shan seems strong on the outside, in fact she is very soft."

Talking of keeping a marriage being down to the work of both parties, Bowie interrupted, saying: "Is your sex life co-ordinated?". To which Kwok replied: "If it isn't co-ordinated, how would we have managed 26 years?"

Christine appeared in her own personal ballgown worth several tens of thousands of dollars and sporting many crystals on the dress. Since filming for "Grey Tracks" started, yesterday's scene was the first with so many of the cast members together. When Christine was asked to pose with Bowie in a dancing stance, Bowie joked that she has dropped a lot of things. Talking of the last event where Christine said that she admired Bowie, did her husband complain afterwards? She laughs that what she said was from the heart and liking a person does not mean she loves him or will marry him, but from a working or a friendly point of view, Bowie is a very likeable person. She also says that her husband has not been to visit her on set and will not be troubled because for her husband, as long as she is happy, then he will relax.

Deric and Cindy play a husband and wife in the show and yesterday they struck a pose at the request of the press. This is only the third time that Deric has danced for a show and the last time was over ten years ago when he left the choreographer very frustrated.

Talking of his girlfriend, Sonija Kwok being a very able dancer, Deric immediately agreed: "She has a lot of talent in many areas, such as Chinese dance, Jazz dance and so on. At first I thought that she had started to dance when she was young, but this is not the case as she was rather quiet when she was young." He also reveals that he wanted to learn some social dances with his girlfriend to help with his acting, like driving and riding is. When it was mentioned that Sonija's riding is very good too, he cannot help but praise her again, saying: "She is both pretty and intelligent and is my teacher in many areas. Not only is she my English teacher, she is also very well mannered. Maybe this was because her family have always been quite strict, so she is very polite with people. She can also work harder than me and has a stronger drive to succeed than me. (So what do you have to teach her?) Basically I have nothing I can teach her!"

Candy Lo, Yumiko Cheng and Christine Ng were filming for "Going for Gold Get Set Go" yesterday and Christine was wearing a low cut top to play the dancing games. She laughs that she was not afraid of revealing herself.

Candy Lo will be taking part in the "Number 1 Water Games" event and will be wearing a swimsuit. She says: "When I was a student, I won a bronze medal once and I can do both breaststroke and backstroke." As for the news of her godbrother Roy Chow being found guilty of drug possession, she supports him saying: "He is facing this very bravely and is bearing the responsibility for his actions. I know he is regretful and he will turn over a new leaf in the future." She says that she has not contacted him because she has been working.

Andy Hui won't guest perform for Sammi

ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Two nights ago, Andy Hui personally delievered two baskets of crabs and a pot of chicken feet soup to the production for the musical starring Denise Ho and Edmond Leung. Everyone was shocked. Andy explains. "The crabs are for you to dance better and the chicken feet soup is to strengthen your leg bones." Denise and Edmond are practicing a one-minute smooch for the musical. Andy's management company has been bit hard recently with rumored financial trouble. "The company has no problems. I'm not worried and I don't believe it. Our promotions havven't decreased and neither has our work load...I've already received all my money." As for the possibility of appearing in Sammi Cheng's concerts as special guest, it looks like fans will be disappointed. Andy is scheduled for work during Sammi's last 3 shows.

News:

SING TAO - Andy Hui confirmed he won't be guest performing at Sammi Cheng's last concert. Apparently, no one even contacted the singer about the opportunity! Andy is keeping his plans under wraps, dodging questions about whether or not he'll be even attending the show. One thing he is doing though is calling Sammi every night to chat. "I do call Sammi, asking her if anything special happened that day, and if she was able to enjoy the performance, those kinds of topics. She said every night the performance wasn't bad, but we haven't talked about my guest performing." Andy complimented Alex To on his figure in which he went full frontal in his music video and then later stripped for his Taiwanese audience on stage. But who knew that Andy had a foot fetish? The singer admits, "When I look at girls I will look at her toes first."

Christine Ng was filming yesterday for "Grey Tracks" and she indicated that she will finish her parts by the 21st of this month and she says she will miss the cast and crew. As well as missing her 'husband' Bowie Lam, she will also miss her daughter in the show, a six or seven year old child star.

Christine says: "Sometimes when I am on location and she isn't around, I will really miss her and will even call her." She also says that in the past, they all split their own ways after filming, but this time, not only the cast have developed a strong friendship, even the producer and director have built very strong bonds, so she hopes to be able to keep in touch with them all later.

When Christine was asked whether she has thought about having children of her own, she says that she was already broody when she was in her teens, but now she has changed her outlook and just hopes that she can do more things before the audience forget her. She smiles: " In th past I was lazy and too absorbed in my dating, so I wasted a lot of time. Now I feel that there is not enough time to use." She also says that Bowie once suggested she has the mental age of a 22-year old, because she has a huge curiosity and will never act her age. She feels that as an artiste, it is important to maintain some innocence because this makes it easier to get into character.

After completing "Grey Tracks", Christine will be heading out to Toronto to do a show with Mo Kai Yin and Lau Nga Lai, before heading into the Mainland to film a series and therefore she will be away from Hong Kong for a while. When asked whether her husband has complained about her being away all the time, she says confidently: "No, he is happy to see me so enthusiastic about my work."

Christine Ng was filming earlier for TVB's "Going For Gold Get Set Go" and although she was wearing a very low cut pair of jeans, she did not stay reserved and was very absorbed in the fun. She also revealed that she has planned to leave her husband Lin Hoi Tong behind in October and fly out to romantic Paris on her own to look out for some handsome men. Christine laughs: "I will go there for a few months and learn some cooking and some French. If my husband has time, he will come and visit me, but if there are handsome men asking me on a date, I will go with them. Don't think of it so negatively though, I do have my limitations!" She also reveals that she has been to France three or four times: "Each time was with a different boyfriend, I have even been with an Italian man, he was so dashing!"

Also, Don Li will be filming for new series "Ten Brothers" soon as he plays the character of 'Thick Skinned Four' and he must shave his head for the role. He also says jokingly: "I will miss my hair, but I had to submit to the orders of my record company. I am worried that I will look terrible when my seed-shaped head is revealed."

Patrick Tang also revealed that he will be publishing a book about his dog Seth, with the aim of helping children with their English. He adds: "Seth is the product of my love with my girlfriend (Marsha Yuen), but we don't plan to have kids so soon."

Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Tavia Yeung, Christine Ng and Leila Tong were among the stars appearing at a promotion for "Twin of Brothers" at a Shatin shopping mall yesterday, during which they played games and Raymond sung the theme song to the show. During this, the other cast members offer their support at the side and Christine was the most enthusiastic even loosening her belt in the process. Luckily, she reacted quickly and did not cause embarrassment. When they had a group photo taken, Christine and Ron gestured a kiss at each other, but they did not really touch lips.

Afterwards, Christine indicated that she has not seen Ron for a while, so she could not hold back her feelings, but she was not worried about the fans being jealous. She also laughs: "Working with this group of young people this time, at first they all thought I would be very cool, but in fact I am the craziest of them all. These two are very good mannered and well brought up, so I would like to adopt them, but we have to check that our horoscopes match up first. (Are you not worried that you will seem old with them?) Not at all, everyone knows my age and I am keeping so well, the most important thing is to keep a happy heart."

When asked if he would like to be adopted by Christine, Ron says that as long as their horoscopes match, then there is no problem because Christine would make a good mother. During filming, as well as taking everyone out for dinner all the time, she would give little gifts to him and Raymond and she is a very caring predecessor, so he sees her as a mother all along. He adds: "I am lucky that I have had seniors looking out for me in all my shows, so up to now, I still call Maggie Siu my mother, Kiki Sheung big sister and in 'Police Cadet Brave Heart', I have Michelle Mai Suet as my mother."

Raymond was back in Hong Kong last week to guest star in Miss Hong Kong and the Olympic opening ceremony show, after which he shot a fashion ad before heading back to Beijing today. When asked if he would be adopted by Christine, he laughs: "She adopted me a long time ago! However we have not gone through the ceremony, it is all still in the heart!" He adds that he has been watching Christine's performance on the screen since he was young and she has not changed at all in appearance. He adds that she treats her juniors very well.

Christine is so pretty! I don't like her haircut, but she still looks beautiful. She looks great in Twin of Brothers... and she's a great actress too. I liked her since Lost in Love. She's simply adorable in Twin of Brothers. I love her character and acting... and she looks great =)

The three of them look soo funny in the pic where she has her elbow on Ron and Raymond's necks... that was the part where they were slacking off or something and she chased them all over. The three are so cute together biggrin.gif

*WARNING: MY POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS ON TOB

I didn't like the twin too much either! I hate it when they make the character have a twin... because then it just makes the whole story feel uncomfortable... because u miss the old character! I like the "Mom" better than the "Aunt" because she had more spunk and personality... she was stubborn, beautiful, and strong while the "Aunt" was weaker (not even YMFK's equal opponent like her sister) and her personality is slightly more stubborn than that of her sister's, even when she loved YMFK, she ranted on about revenge... if she knew he wouldn't commit such a thing because he treated her so well, then she shoulda just let it go and been with him.

Maggie Cheung and Christine Ng took part in a promotional event for a French cosmetics brand yesterday. Maggie also received sponsorship of cosmetics from the company. She admits that women are vain and she does love jewellery, but she has not thought about doing a course on jewellery evaluation because she has two good teachers already who are her mother and aunt.

Maggie is currently filming in the mainland for "Song of Everlasting Sorrow", and despite the show has not having officially started shooting yet, it is already riddled with rumours and gossip. When she heard the word 'gossip' in the question from the press, Maggie immediately responded: "I will not reply to these pointless questions." As for the rumours that she has fallen out with designer Cheung Shuk Ping, Maggie pointed out that this was a cosmetics event and she would not be discussing anything other than this product.

With suggestions that "Song" was originally offered to Michelle Ye, but she turned it down to host the Olympics and because she felt that Maggie suited the role more, Maggie admits this and describes Michelle as her 'grace'. When asked about all the rumours for the series already and whether she needs to go and do some prayers, she says: "Come on, these small incidents are not worth me getting annoyed. As an artiste, you will never have no gossip, but you find your strength through these rumours and just laugh them off as a joke. (Do you feel that you get more gossip as you become more famous?) Jackie Chan has plenty of gossip and I am just a small potato."

When Christine heard about Simon Yam's wife Qi Qi being seven months pregnant, she was very happy and when asked when it would be her turn, she says that they do have a plan, but some things cannot be rushed. Originally planning to move to Paris for a while, Christine's plans have had to be postponed because she has taken on more work. She emphasises that she is working hard on 'making babies', but everything is down to fate.

Christine Ng appeared at the 'Marie Claire - Eternity of Fame' awards ceremony earlier and talking of the 'Favourite Female Lead Role' award being the highlight of this year's TVB anniversary, she was asked who she felt will win. Christine says that she thinks that Kenix Kwok and Bowie Lam will win, so she voted for them at the press conference. She also feels that Gigi Lai did very well too, but because Kenix originally hailed from TVB, then she hopes that Kenix will win the award. Also, as Kenix has been in the industry for many years, she has a lot of experience and it is time for her to win an award.

When asked if she hopes to win the award herself, she says that of course she wishes for this, but she can only pin her hopes on the future and so she will keep her form in the hope that she can make more good series next year.

Christine Ng, Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong was filming on location for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" yesterday and as the weather is getting cold, the cast were wearing their coats to keep warm between shoots. Christine even paid for some hot drinks for everyone. In the show, she has the opportunity to work opposite Liza Wang and Christine says: "Even if there are just three lines, she will study each one carefully."

Wearing just one overcoat, Bosco said that his costume is very thin, but he has a thermal vest underneath because he is afraid of appearing puffy. As his series "Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu" will begin airing after "Kung Fu Soccer", he feels very happy and says: "When we were filming, I would call John Chiang 'Dad' and Michelle [Yim] 'Mum'. I hope that this show can be like those of Master Kwan Tak Hing and we can make over a hundred episodes."

Myolie indicated that there was some unhappiness over the Christmas period and says: "On the 25th, I went to my boyfriend's home for dinner and found that I was being followed by reporters. The next day, they were still waiting for me and photographed my boyfriend close up. I really do not know what to do about this."

she brings back so many good memories, dunno why the first show that pops up in my mind is "Yee sun Wah Tor". Her acting is pretty consistant from show to show. She's an acting veteran that probably do any scenes and as mentioned she's verry pretty for her age.

She is funny! She is funny for ready getset go. She just moves her ass from left to right and it was pretty left too.

is she the one in storm rider. Wind's mother?

I like Christine as well. Somehow I prefer her sexy (or you can say b*t*hy) roles in ATV production. I love how she seduced, flirted men in "the silver tycoon" and "Who is the winner III". The way she walked, smiled, pointed her hand just caught my eyes.

Well I don't really like her in stupid, naive role like ones in Heaven's retribution or cold blood warm heart though. She's destined to play a super hot woman!!

Anyway, nowadays she's aged but she looks so good considering how old is she rite now. I don't have a chance to see her recent series though.
forever_autumn
I think she's really beautiful too.. I remember the first TVB series I saw her in was that one with Damian Lau... I think it was called "Ups and Downs". She was really good in there! And then I thought she was great in "The Incurable Trait" too. I'm watching Greed Mask right now but I don't really like her hairstyle in there. She looks prettier with longer hair ^___^

Is anyone watching The Misleading Track right now?

Christine Ng Wing Mei and husband Lin Hoi Tong earlier went to Japan for the Cherry Blossom Festival but the flowers have not bloomed yet. They got an elegant hot spring hotel for a romantic hot spring bath. "Although it was expensive, we got to face a beautiful lake and sharing a bath with my husband was great!" Lady Ng was screaming in excitement on the mountain naked. "Although people live at the foot of the mountain, but it was such a rare chance to be carefree. I screamed happily in the buff down the mountain. My husband was so terrified that he immediately told me to duck down."

"On the way back we saw a rare cherry blossom tree blooming beautifully and saw more than ten people in a line. I lined up thinking I would take a pretty picture, but someone yelled in Cantonese, 'We are leaving in 45 minutes!' A Hong Kong tour arrived, I was afraid of being recognized, ducked and rocketed out of there."

Christine is Ready for Anything

With her earlier pledges to appear in a T-back (thong) if the series "Misleading Track" achieved good results, Christine Ng is not going back on her word, saying: "Although I am busy filming for 'Women on the Run', I am ready to show off my T-back, it is always ready on standby!"

With "Misleading Track" doing well and "Women On the Run" premiering strongly, Christine still takes the opportunity for a plug: "I am also in 'War of In-Laws', so if you add the three series ratings together, it will be over a hundred points! Who would have guessed I'd do so well at TVB!"

Mr Hong Kong Contest Under Fire

TVB's first "Mr Hong Kong" Contest was held this week, but amidst the celebrations, there were many complaints received from viewers, who found the show to be like a gigolo party and demeaning to men. However, the winner Matthew Ko says that he does not feel like a 'little gigolo' and Christine Ng has supported the show, saying it was in no way seedy or tacky.

The twelve contestants showed off their talents to win the votes of the judges, including showing off their muscles and wearing wet swimming trunks. Muscleman Rocky Cheng wore a thong for his free routine, whilst Alexander Au even pulled down his trunks, causing screams from the female audience. However, the ratings for the show were disappointing, pulling in 23 points and 28 points for the two sections.

The Hong Kong Broadcasting Authority received 11 complaints the following day, criticising the show for being like a 'gigolo contest', complaining that the contestants antics were indecent and the sexual nature of the women's responses being a bad influence to young people. Other comments were that the show was morally wrong, demeaning to men and unsuitable for children to watch during prime time television. Upon hearing this, overall and 'Handsome Group' winner Matthew Ko does not agree: "It was not demeaning in any way and in no way was it a 'gigolo contest'. The stage was very high class and the wet look swimming trunks were just a visual effect. As for pulling them down, this was part of the personal routine."

A guest on the stage that night, Christine Ng responds: "For TVB to make it such a success in their first year is great. The male and female gaps are being brought closer and closer together, so to have a male pageant is no big deal. You should not take a tarred view of it all, I was very happy watching it and it was not dirty in any way."

TVB's Assistant External Affair's Chief responded: "The show was meant to be a rounded view of the contestants' talents and I did not notice anything unrefined about it. The official phone lines received a lot of positive comments from viewers, who found it to be a great show, asking for it to be shown again, suggesting we should have first, second and third place and urging us to do this every year."

Christine is a Getting Old?

Currently busy with filming sitcom “Women on the Run”, Christine has been plagued with the title of a “mature (old) lady”. She at first did not take notice, but since she started filming more on outdoor location, she is worried about her skin becoming rather wrinkly.

Taking time out to film an ad for the Fancl skincare range, she took their skin test and found that her skin has a very high water content and she has a skin age of just 26 years, so she is rather excited by this. Christine reveals that to keep young skin, she eats egg white products every night by sharing dessert with her husband Lin Hoi Tong.

I really like Christine Ng ever since Cold Heart Warm Blood, even tho she looked about 40 .lol, but then went off her for a whle. Then I regained interest in her since watching The Super Trio show, where I thought it was so funny when she got hit with the cream. What a great sport.

i like christine..she's pretty and has a great figure...the evil lady in 'jewel in the palace' (dai cheung gam - the korean series) bears an uncanny resemblance to christine!
