Earlier, Gigi Leung’s hotel room was broken into by a stranger in mainland. When Kelly Chen saw Gigi on Sunday night, she immediately asked how Gigi was. Kelly said that when she was working in mainland, a stranger came into her room and wore her pjs that was lying around in the hotel room. Kelly says that whenever she leaves her hotel room now, she will make sure she puts her sleepwear, underwear and other personal belongings away.

Gigi and Kelly both performed at the Chinese International New Talent Competition as the older generation singers. When Kelly heard about Gigi’s incident, she went to ask how Gigi was. When talking about her incident, Kelly said, “I knew that someone had worn my jps because it smelt different! That is why I always put all my personal belongings back in my luggage before leaving the hotel room. But if someone took my luggage as well, I can’t do anything about that!”

Gigi: the case has been handed over to the police

Earlier, Gigi Leung attended a function in Beijing and had her hotel room intruded by a female and male. After being told to the public, it has caused quite a controversy. Gigi said that she will let the police deal with the intrusion. Yesterday, Gigi told the media that the intruders may be Hong Kong reporters. Gigi said that she can do nothing to help the intruders because the case has been handed over to the police.

Gigi Leung tells Ekin to listen with his heart

Gigi Leung’s new album which is clothing fashion theme based is released. Gigi had asked some of her friends who has great fashion taste to help out, Gigi asked Kathy Chow, Coco Chiang, Charlie Yeung and Vanessa Yeung. To promote the album, Gigi has gone for the sexy image.

Gigi will give her family and friends her new album but not her boyfriend, Ekin Cheng. Gigi has gone for the ‘buy one get one free’ policy. If Ekin buys one album, Gigi will give him one free of charge. Gigi said that every time she gives Ekin one of her albums, she does not sign it or write any messages but will tell Ekin to listen with his heart. Gigi believes that there is no need for writing messages on the album and signing it because it will be like giving her fan an album. A reporter asked if her relationship with Ekin was lacking romance, Gigi said that listing to songs together could be romantic, especially listening to love songs. Through her new song, Meeting Someone in Heaven, Gigi tells us that we should appreciate the people around us.

I used to like Gigi Leung when she first came out. But now I really dislike her because of her relationship with Ekin. I feel like she's the third person in Ekin's relationship with his ex. Maybe this has nothing to do with me, but it's because of that that I started to dislike her as well as Ekin.

There have been reports saying that Gigi Leung’s fan left a message on her fan site saying that Gigi’s company was unfair because they are promoting Fiona more and cutting down on promoting Gigi. Yes, problem is, they never made a public announcement of the breakage. They didn't shout it off the rooftops Ekin once said in a radio interview how he regrets how he handled the whole situation.

But that's all in the past now, they have been together for about 7 years I think, not sure, so they take it quite seriously I guess. I can imagine how they feel powerless towards the press. Some of them are like vultures hoping they'll fail. When there are seemingly little problems between them, they tend to blow it out of proportion, and when they are seemingly happy with each other they try to create stories where there are no stories ..... deep sigh .... so small minded some people can be, not granting others to have their happiness

yeah I know. but I think that the way ekin handel it was good I mean he don´t need to tell anybody what have happen between his relationship with maggie is up to him. I mean we don´t need to have permission who we want to be with are not.

I've just listened to her new album, Look, and think it's still the same as her music before. Apparently this album is marketed as a new direction for Gigi, but from where I stand, it's still the same mixture of ballad and dance songs.

So come on, Gigi, show us what you've got.

I ordered Look (pre-ordered) on Yesasia. It still hasn't come yet. Actually, I'm looking for one of the CDs's posters. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Also, I think to respond to someone else's earlier comment, I think Look is a new direction for Gigi. She works with new people, and her songs in this album are catchier, faster, and more upbeat. There are less k-songs. It's an interesting approach, and I think it's commendable to try something new every once in a while.

My order of the cd hasn't arrived yet, so I can't say much about it yet, but what kind of change do you have in mind? Like going rock or rap or R&B? I'm sometims curious too how she would fair doing different kind of genres of music. Like how she would sound of doing a song of Muse for instance I know she can do rock songs pretty well, have heard her coveriing a few. But then, I think she should do what she feels comfortable with, no need to just change because of change. Not just follow trends.

Have you tried to give it a few more listens, as I find cantonese pop is more about lyrics carrying you into the music than the otherway around like what's more common in western pop generally speaking.

Indeed I love Gigi very much, and always support her music (even though in her early career, I thought her voice is weak and her choreography not interesting). So I bought her latest album immediately. Even if her style is the same, I will still keep the album as a treasured gift.

It's just that Look is cited as a 'new direction', but I saw no newness here. Perhaps i will try to listen to it again and again to see if my opinion is changed.

yeah, even though her role was really small she definately left a lasting impression on me. her character was so touching and sweet. I think she was perfect for the role =)

i din downloaded her latest songs but hear it online though...love her last song in the album...heard she wrote it after reading a book,wonder wat book she read and got the idea of writing this song...if in english,can read...if it is in chinese,then i guess i listen to the song enough....

From all these years of being fan of her I believe she is a very level headed person and well grounded. Actually quite an ordinary girl, but with a strong will. Being so grounded might very well be the reason she hasn't reached extreme heights yet, and I think that is ok. Hearing how she does not look down on certain professions, how she can relativise about life and how she can empathise with others shows how down to earth she is.

I have listened to several public broadcasts where she was guest and where the radio presenters/dj's were trying to make fun of callers and other co-guests and everytime she always put in a good word for them to let them, putting things in perspective, so they would not be sillyfied.
