i heard the interview she made in that 881 program...can really feel that she is very happy producing this album...i guess in every of her new album,she reli wan to do something new everytime,which is good because then we will b able to see other sides of gigi...and i guess it is important for her as well as a singer in this competitive industry...and it is funny that whenever she say the name of her new album...hope this album does well.....

i guess gigi has been a very down to earth person and to her all fame and popularity has not reli gone to her heads...she has experienced the worst period of her career and i guess that make her even more appreciative of wat she has now......and i am glad that she is not being used like a commercial puppet,coming out with albums after albums,or commercials after commercials...i am jus happy to have her album even i need to wait for half ayear for it,because i know that is when quality and not quantity that she is thinking abt....

btw,i miss her acting in a movie...qloud,u said u heard from the interview there is a movie in the making??....true??....

i saw the mtv of 'mat wan' and 'bikini' for the 1st time..a lot of ppl say that gigi look really sexy in her bikini mtv,i agree with that,because that is wat the song wan her to represent...so i am ok with that term but a slut,i don't tink so....when watching that mtv i don't feel that at all,she is sexy but not to the extent of a slut/b*t*h...but other opinions are their opnions...IMO,she did a real breakthrough here and that is a good thing...

Gigi Leung has recently released a new Mandarin language album "Clockwise".
A beautiful song generally consists of three components, a moving melody, touching lyrics, and fantastic voice. For the latter, the boyish mezzo soprano of Hong Kong singer Gigi Leung certainly has a unique quality, and has helped her to pick up a steadfast group of fans over her various albums. Now in the tenth year of her singing career, Gigi has recently released a new Mandarin language album "Clockwise", designed to show her transformation from schoolgirl singer to fully matured female artist.



Clockwise is a collection of 3 new tracks and 27 old hits from Gigi Leung, also known as Liang Yongqi, and something of a must buy for Gigi's fans, since it contains all the most important songs from her career.

The three new tracks, Prejudice, Clockwise and Nomads reflect the present style of this singer, who has excellent vocal control, enabling her to handle even the subtlest inflections with great ease. The emotions expressed in these new songs have also shaken away much of her carefree adolescent nature, as she begins to concentrate on the adult world.

Clockwise is composed by Gigi Leung herself and fully showcases the different textures of her voice. In this slow love ballad, Gigi sadly sings:"I wonder whether you still care about the oath between us? I don't want to linger alone in these dead memories. Time can never take us back to where we started, so I'll simply let go of our love in this gentle breeze."

Ever since her earliest days, Gigi Leung has managed to captivate her fans with the straight-forwardness of her lyrical expression and a distinctive musical personality. Take for example the tune I'm Having A Crush on Him, with its rather bold declaration of love: "I'm having a little crush for him. He's walked into my life and changed everything. I'm dreaming of making a home together with him and giving birth to his fat little baby." Listening to this happy track from the beginning of Gigi's career, we can detect a girlish naivety and light-heartedness in her music.



"Firelight" marks another turning point in Gigi's singing career. On this track, Gigi appears more confident in conveying the emotions of her music, while her lyrics dig deeper into the emotional worlds of her lovers to emphasize the imperfections of love. She sings it firm and slow, with the words "If love is the petal of a fragile rose, I'm willing to accept this imperfection. One of Gigi's new tunes, "Nomads" is a combination of ballad and jazz. Although it might not be as hummable as "Clockwise," this tune is still very pleasing to the ear.

Gigi says that she won't attend the years end music awards shows. Her new cd was released just last month, so it is unlikely it would have had enough time to make such an impact it would win her an award. So she decided she'd rather spend her time with her family. i totally agree with wat u post babysnoopy_gurl83 ....gigi has changed a lot over the years musically...and that is a good for all her fans...glad to see her change thus far...i always feel that she put 101% when it comes to releasing her album and not jus released it because she haf to...even though i feel sometimes award shows reli does her no justice at all,but come to tink abt it,all award shows are merely 'shows'....i still support her all the way because i tink she did every of her album with her heart and soul in it.....
