Gigi Leung's Highest Record was looking after 13 Dogs

Gigi Leung, Jessica Hester Hsuan, Tracey Yip, Jacky jai and Alex Fong Chung Sun attended the movie "A Tale of Mari and 3 Puppies" charity show premeire. (This is a Japanese movie about the touching story between a family and a mother dog.) Gigi Leung who voice over's for one of the characters expressed that she felt very emotional because her 14 year old dog suddenly passed away. She also said that her highest record was looking after 13 dogs at her home. Later on she gave 10 puppies to her friends. One of the puppie's was actually abandoned 3 times, but finally got a good home.

Tracey and Jessica both took tissues to the movie incase they got emotionally teary. Tracey claimed that a few years ago she saw a stray dog near her home but because she didn't have any space she couldn't give him a home. However, she would go to see it when she had time and take it to the vet for vaccinations.
Jessica joked that Alex Fong Chung Sun would definitely cry more than her because whenever he see's an animal he gets very teary.

wow didn't know that gigi have had 13 dogs that it's alot.

hi there. sorry that I haven't answer your post yet. well I think gigi have 8 dog or something like that not too sure, one of her dog pass away two years ago adn the other one for some month ago. but I do think she have alot of dogs left at home ^^

Yesterday, Gigi Leung appeared as an ambassador of UNICEF to share experience of doing charity and issued certificates of acknowledgment to outstanding teenagers. She accepted a short interview with the reporters regarding the recent incident that happened at Hacken Lee's Concert.

Recently,Gigi Leung was invited as a guest performer for Hacken Lee's concert in Macau,during the performance Hacken Lee joked that no men wants Gigi and she cant get married.
Gigi was not affected by that comment from Hacken and responded the reporters with a smile,she said : " Hacken has a habit of joking,and he was aware that i have a positive attitude which could take jokes easily.. as for the joke this time, i was very surprised that he said that unexpectedly, and i cannot react with what he said immediately ".

There was a suggestion by someone to Gigi,asking her to find a new boyfriend soon to break Hacken Lee's "curse" . Gigi replied to that suggestion in an astute manner,she said " Even if i have a boyfriend,i will keep it low profile,because if its disclosed,everyone will focus their attention to my love life and pay no attention to my works."

Gigi Leung and Berlin Chen in new movie ; Love tangled between Sister-in-law and Uncle

Yesterday, director Joe Ma's (馬偉豪) new film " I Can love" ( 愛得起 ) was at an primary school in Hung Hom for the opening ceremony. Those who attended were Gigi Leung, Berlin Chen, Shaun Tam, Louis Fan and HotCha.
The director wanted each one of them to bring a private item from home during filming so that they have the feeling of " home from home". Gigi brought with her a bath robe and a huge pillow. Berlin brought a mug and a toothbrush.

This is Gigi's 4th time working with director Joe Ma. In the film, she and new comer Bing Shao will play husband and wife. She will have an affair with Berlin Chen, the uncle. The two have intimate love scenes in the film. There were rumours that Gigi and Berlin were seen out partying together. This was denied by Gigi. She explained that she was attending a friend's birthday party. She put her present down and left that night. The report was out of character.

Gigi said " Attending a party is a normal thing, even in future when I am married and have kids, I will continue to go to parties." When asked if she would go to a party on her own? she replied " What! I don't care about the rumour, I am not desperate to get a boyfriend and I have my principles "

Berlin was a bit embarrassed when he was asked about the intimate love scene with Gigi.
" It wasn't that intimate, I just did what I was told by the director. I just get on with my work. The director doesn't mind my girlfriend visiting me while filming.".

The weather was very hot indeed, Berlin was worried he wouldn't be able to cope with the heat. When mentioning about his girlfriend Mandy Lieu who starred in "Dressage To Win" ( 四葉草3 - 盛裝舞步愛作戰), Berlin smiled, saying Mandy was a very serious actress and this was her first TV role. It may well be her last. This is because she is used to doing advertisements . She is not very interested in acting. He praised her command of Cantonese, that he still has to learn from her.

well i don't know when this movie will be out on DVD I mean they have just finish filming it so I think it will take awhile before it comes out on DVD. Oh? I didn't know that gigi was nominated on the hundrer flowers Award if I should be honest I don't even know that kind of award it's I think I have heard about it but not to sure about it. where did you find that? do you have any news or article that I can read it from?

I think I read it on Sina.com a few weeks ago. The Hundred Flowers Awards is kind of like the People's Choice Awards of China. It's voted on by fans and only the top ten box office films are eligible so, GiGi was nominated for "Secret of the Magic Gourd".

Gigi Leung appeared at a music event yesterday. She revealed that she had recently been busy in recording her new Mandarin album. She will not be in Hong Kong next month and will be mainly working in Mainland. She will also be preparing to visit New York to watch a Fashion show. Gigi states that she will not go wild in shopping because the room that she uses as a wardrobe is already full of clothing, so she will have to refrain from buying any more while she's there.

She has always been saving money in building schools for Mainland areas. Currently she has already invested money in building 6 schools in Chung Hing and this will be her 7th. She will continue to follow her target and save money to build more schools. Also the property she is living in was bought by herself so she doesn't need to pay any rent. She hopes that more children will have the chance to study.

Hello people, i'm a newbie here.

Years ago, to be precisely 1999, i bought a cd featuring Gigi Leung and two other HK singers.
It contains beautiful, techno-esque songs and i love it.
Unfortunately, after only two months, i lost it; i forgot to take the disc out of a cd player of a pc which were thrown away :-(
I've been trying to track down the cd ever since to no avail.

So does the name of a group called Powerstation featuring Gigi Leung rings any bells?

Gigi's wiki page certainly doesn't: no mentioning of Powerstation there.....

Hmm. I have every single one of GiGi's solo albums, but that doesn't sound familiar to me. The only Powerstation I know of is the two aborginese guys from Taiwan, but I don't think they've ever done anything remotely resembling techno. Sounds like interesting stuff. I'd sure like to hear it. Was it some kind of remix album?

Last night i went digging through thousands of google pics and came up with some new info.

Turned out the group was call e-power and the two other singers are Charlie Yeung and Anita Yuen.
And yes, the descriptions says it's a remix, whatever that means.
Does anyone knows this album and why isn't it in Gigi's wiki page?

No frickin' way! I googled "e-power gigi leung" and there it was. It's still available through buyoyo.com for 102hk$! Man, I know Charlie, Anita, and GiGi are all friends but I never heard of them doing music together. That's mind blowing! I have buy it now and hear it for myself.

Hi Jupi. Yeah, I saw that interview a few days ago. That's the first time I've heard GiGi speak English extensively. She had some English dialogue in "Roots and Branches" but she's very well spoken. Must be the Catholic school education. Anyway, I heard she's performing at the Qingdao beer festival concert with Fei Yu Ching and Super Junior. It's kind of funny how the big HK stars are hardly ever in HK these days. They're always in the mainland.

I think why she is so good is b/c she really cares about the pronunciation, that's why her mandarin is very good as well. Yeah, there's a saying that's been going around the Chinese entertainment world the last few years. It goes, "If you're not a big star in China, then you're not a big star." The local markets like HK, Taiwan, and Singapore are for the up and comers. The real established stars all have a huge fanbase in the mainland. I guess GiGi has always been more popular with Mandarin speaking audiences. She really became a superstar first in Taiwan. I remember being in Taipei in '97 when she released her first Mandarin album. Man, it was crazy how many people showed up.

Yeah I have heard about that saying as well and I think it's so true I mean the china market are so much bigger then HK, taiwan etc. and alot of singers and actors are going to the mainland market and I think gigi is a hit there right now and you are right she was really big in taiwan but she did lost alot of fans during the ekin, maggie thing. Anyway I'm really happy to know that she is working in mainland b/c I think ppl there are looking on her jobs and performance and doesn't really care how she deal with her private life.

Yeah, I could care less about a star's personal life. That's their own business as long as they're not on drugs or breaking the law, I have no problem with what they do privately. GiGi's even cuter in person. I've seen her in Taipei, HK, and the US. Man, I can't wait for her new album in December. It's been toooooo long a wait for all her fans.

I agree with you the celebes personal life is their own business we shouldn't judge or anything I mean they are humans too they can't be perfect either.

I read the article from those pics posted by xtlover and apparently because of the Lehmann Brothers financial collapse GiGi lost a lot of money. It's a good thing she didn't have all her assets in one place. She doesn't seem overly concerned so I'm guessing things are OK.

Ports 1961: Swarms of Asian photographers rushed to photograph one front-row A-list actress and singer: Hong Kong star Gigi Leung. Leung, who is no stranger to New York Fashion Week having attended Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2005 show, was seated between Brandy and raspy crooner Bryan Adams, an odd choice until you consider the label’s theme of all-things Canada this season. Speaking of which, one of our photographers had trouble getting in backstage to shoot due to the swarm of television crews trying to film The Cowboy Junkies, who were reportedly already performing.

GiGi just posted on her blog that her new album is finally completed! Apparently it wil be entitled "Chiu Shing", or "Autumn Heart". Great news for her fans.

Gigi is planning to release her new album early next year. They are primarily Mandarin songs, but there will be 2 songs in Cantonese to cater for the Hong Kong market. Gigi revealed that she has confidence in her new record. She had invested a 7 figure sum of money in it. Although she had invested a lot, she would take it easy. She does not want to put so much pressure on herself. She also stressed that nowadays, it is not easy to make a lot of money in the music industry. She is hoping the market will get better next year. For the last 6 months Gigi had quite a lot of offers to do commercials and promotion activities. She had earned quite a it of money too. Speaking about the global economic crises at the moment, Gig responded " It hasn't affected us that much. My mom had sold hers shares once she had made some money. I feel property investment is still the best investment. When asked about her love life, Gigi laughed "I have a few admirers, but I am only having dinners with them. I am seeing a guy at the moment. He is not from the entertainment circle. I don't think we are at a stage for me to announce yet. I will tell you when the time comes."

I think gigi is concentrating her market in mainland china even her upcoming album is mandarin album. But i'm sure I will like it as much as it would have been a cantonese one. I think she will have some songs written by herself in it. don't know. but It's great to hear that she have put a lot of effort in this album 7 figure it's a lot!

are u sure gigi was a guest on the singing contest that showed on TVB8? dam if it's true I watch almost half of it and then I give up b/c the competitor was so bad in singing that I couldn't stand it, so I totally missed gigi =(

Yeah, her fanclub site said that she would be a guest at the contest. I think gigi.cup.com has some pics of her at the event in a cute yellow outfit in the news section. Hehe, I've heard that the singing contest has really gone downhill the last few years. It used to produce so many big stars.

Gigi:Choose the right shoe is like choosing the right partner

Gigi Leung was a guest for the opening of a craftstore in Taiwan yesterady. She explained that to her choosing the right partner is just like chosing a pair of shoes. They have to look good as well as comfortable to wear. But the reporter reminded her that nice shoes may not be comfortable. He was sarcastic to her that she didn't have a good insight in chosing her previous partner. Gigi was very embarrassed by his remark. Gigi replied "I want a pair of shoes that will never hurt my feet and I want them for life. It is very difficult to find." Asked if she has tried any new shoes lately, Gigi laughed "I look for style first and than I will try them on."
