Hi Jupi. I don't have CCTV on my satellite system either, but you can watch many Chinese and Taiwanese channels at tvu.com. Just download the tvu player and choose the channel you want to watch. It's all free and very easy to use. By the way, GiGi looked very beautiful at the event but she only sang one song. It was a show to thank CCTv's commercial sponsors so guests could choose to go on stage with the stars. Some company executive's daughter got to go up and sing "Ai De Dai Jia" with GiGi. Lucky.

Here's a picture of GiGi from an ad for Corona fashions. According to reports from the mainland media, she receive an 8 figure sum for being their spokesmodel. By the way, that tvu address is wrong. It's actually tvunetworks.com.

Gigi Leung attended the "Hong Kong Polytechnic Alumni Green HK Tree Planting activites" yesterday. She revealed that she has to work abroad over Christmas and the Chinese New Year. Asked if she is earning a lot of money right now? Gigi replied "The fees are the same. With the bad economy, I treasure the opportunity for the work I am offered. People say after the New Year, most companies will cut their budget and reduce resources. Therefore I have to earn money before the Chinese New Year.

Gigi stressed that because she wanted to earn more money first and she hasn't got time to be dating. "Dating is just like planting a tree, needing constant watering and tender loving care. It will dry up and die if you don't have time to look after it"

Hi Jupi! The correct answer was B. Oh well, I got it wrong. Anyways, the song is beautiful and inspiring. I always felt that some of GiGi's best songs were the ones she wrote herself. She's so talented.

It's good to know that she have so much work to do even during this bad economy times

Hi Jupi. Her music sounds unique. It's still pop, but it's not as derivative as most commercial music. Most pop songs and singers kind of sound alike to me. Her sound is different. I saw an interview with GiGi last week and she said she feels very fortunate to have so many opportunities during these hard times. She still made something like $30-40 milllon HK this year. Not as much as in years past, but still a lot.

Here's kind of a funny story about Hayden Huang from season 3 of "One Million Star" meeting GiGi in Taiwan. Hayden's mom and aunt came from Singapore to help him promote his debut album when they saw G, "the goddess in his heart", at dinner. He was very nervous to meet his idol but G was very friendly and even invited him and his family to dine with her. Just thought that was kind of a cute story to share with everyone.

That's so sweet this is not the first time of her doing this kind of thing. I remember some years back when she was in Taiwan she did almost the same thing but the difference was she get to her fans house and waited in her fans room for her to arrive. and when the fan saw her she was all shocked and said "I see a ghost" really fun ^^

That interview was on TVB8 on E-News Frontline. It was in mandarin. Not sure where you can see it now though. GiGi and her fans seem to have a special relationship. You know how she always invites fans to her home for barbecues every year. I've never heard of anything like that before from other stars. By the way, her new song is red hot. This article says according to a major Chinese music website it's been played 500,000 times so far. Ekin Cheng and Gigi Leung have been split up for two years now. Gigi had an interview in Hunan TV programme "The Story Behind" the other day. She talked about the 7 years they had together. She described she was heart broken when they made the decision to split up. Now they are still very good friends and she is even following Ekin's news. She wished him all the happiness.

Gigi said "Although he doesn't know exactly what I am thinking, I feel there is still a bond between us. Love becomes friendship" Reporter asked who suggested to break up first? Gigi replied "We both wanted to split up. This is because we are not in love anymore. There won't be any happiness if we still insist of being together. Therefore, we made that decision." The studio audiences responded Gigi's answer with a loud "Oh". Gigi smiled "Why Oh?"

Gigi Leung is directing a Music Video this year

Gigi Leung attended an activity (牛展牛覽排排坐) in Harbor City at the Ocean Terminal for the "Hong Kong leukemia Fund " yesterday. She was demonstrating the paper version of "bull" as well as raising funds for the charity. She showed the children about the creative act of paper "bull". Gigi said "2008 was a remarkable year. We had credit crunch and tsunami, hopefully 2009 will be a peaceful year." Gigi was asked if she was affected with the bad economy? She replied " Not too serious, I have lost a bit of my funds, I put my investment on shops and offices and I get a good return." Gigi revealed that she will be directing a music video this year.

Speaking of the interviewed she gave the other day when she was talking about the Maggie Siu being the burden with her and Ekin Cheng, Gigi responded, "That reports need more clarification. People can actually see my interview online, I didn't say or mean that. I said we were more apart than together, I said it many times. I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Thanks for telling me about what the news said I didn't know where to find the news of the function. Hahah funny to know that he is a fans of gigi before. I think there are a lot of singers/actors in the insdustry from the "younger" generation that admire her like hins cheung ^^
Oh I didn't know it was a bridal magazine she make that photo shoot to. I have see the making video and it was some what fun to see how she needed to touch the dress to get the effect they wanted.

Gigi Leung huddles up with actor to keep warm

Gigi Leung was filming a music video for her new album "Gift in Taiwan. She had intimate scene with the actor in the MV. It was a very cold day, the two were huddling each other to keep warm. Gigi had her head resting on his shoulder.

Gigi hasn't produced a record for two year now but her brand new Mandarin Special "Gift" will be released this month. All the songs are written by her. "This special edition is for me to give some warmth to everyone during these bad times. I get the ideas of producing this record after reading a book." Gigi wants to share her own feelings with everyone through the lyrics of the songs. She wants to cherish the present and the family and friends around her. Gigi doesn't mind losing something, but she believes there is still love left in the world.
