I am not really a Ryo fan before and never really thought of him as hot (yea the blasphemy!). BUT when I watched Ryusei no Kizuna OH MY GOODNESS!! I AM SO SORRY but he is just toooo cute! Especially when he smiles.

Plus, I love it when he acts so shy around Erika Toda. He's a very good actor. I am now becoming a fan. He seems sweet too.

Pop idol Nishikido in highway car accident, woman injured
TOKYO, March 2

Ryo Nishikido, a member of pop idol group News, caused a rear-end accident while driving a car on a section of an expressway in Tokyo's Minato Ward on Sunday, injuring a woman in the other car, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The police suspect that Nishikido, 24, may have not been paying full attention while caught in heavy traffic on the metropolitan expressway way when the accident occurred at around 3:45 p.m.
Nishikido's car bumped into the car in front, which in turn collided with the car ahead of it, according to the police. The woman in the car hit by Nishikido's vehicle suffered minor injuries, the police said.
The police said they may send information to prosecutors on Nishikido if further investigations show the woman's injuries were the result of negligence on his part.

accidents happen all the time, it just can't be helped, however it's a really unfortunate thing..i've read that Ryo-chan was banned from driving for 6 months..at least it's better than being banned from his groups..and im glad the jimusho stood up for him..AND he wasn't injured although i pity the old woman who suffered minor injuries..hope everything will eventually turn out fine for the both of them..

ryo new drama...why there is no thread bout his new upcoming drama..when will it be aired?

With boy band NEWS hosting this year's annual "24 Hour Television" program on NTV, member Ryo Nishikido (24) has been chosen to star in the telethon's customary drama special.　Ryosuke Yamada (16) of Hey! Say! JUMP has also been cast in the show.

The drama is titled "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" and is based on a book by writer Masumi Kawakami. Nishikido plays a young man named Keisuke Kawai, who aspired to become a physicist since he was young. His hopeful parents send him to an expensive college prep school, but at the age of 15, during his third year of junior high, he is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Told that he only has one year to live, he falls into despair, giving up on treatment and even lashing out against his own mother. Ultimately, with the support of his family, he struggles with the tumor for eight years before dying at the age of 23.

Keisuke's younger brother will be played by Yamada, while his parents are played by Hitomi Kuroki (48) and Takanori Jinnai (50). Yumi Shirakawa (72) plays the grandmother.

"24 Hour Television" is going on the air on August 29-30. "Niini no Koto wo Wasurenaide" will be broadcast on the night of August 29.
