I'm very new in here. I actually just starting to like Ryo.
From watching One Litre of Tears. hehhe
I'm a bit layz to read the other pages so I have a few qestions to
ask about Ryo if anyone can help me.

Was Ryo in NEWS first or Kanaji 8? because in the summery Ryo was
not in it with NEWS?
When did he join both groups? Why is he the only one JE guys in two
groups?
Does he spend more time in NEWS or Kanaji 8?

dayzai Ryo was in K8 way b4 NEWS...and I think he spends more time w/K8 cause K8 is like his family(grew up w/them but I heard he also hang out with Tesshi from NEWS a lot too.)..that whole group has been through so much(cause Johnny was treatin them pretty bad @ one point) and cause NEWS is on haitus . But he doesn't like one better than the other though...he likes them equally. Ryo joined NEWS 2003..K8 debuted 2004 but ryo and the K8 members were always together in JE as the Kansai Jrs since 1998 i think and K8 was formed in 2002 just by combining the most well know kids from Kansai Jrs...ryo isn't the only one in 2 groups..Uchi is in K8 and NEWS too..I guess they're in NEWS too cause Johnny wanted NEWS to be popular and if he added Yamapi and two well knowned members of K8 then they'd get more fans.

Anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about something.

welcome all the newbies... so happy that there is more ryo love.

yea so K8 was formed long before NEWS existed. i guess Johnny wanted to debut a group and decided to put members from different groups together instead of debuting a group that already existed so they created our lovely NEWS boys. i think they picked members that could sing and would sell. i bet ryo and yamapi were picked because they would sell while tegoshi, massu, and kusano were picked because they can sing. newho i'm actually happy that ryo is in NEWS and K8 because i get more ryo. plus i think ryo is happy being busy in showbiz.

about being in two groups, i guess if Johnny thinks it's going to sell by doing that than he'll/they'll do it. in 2007 a group will debut so people are debating whether a jr group that already exist willl debut or will they form a new group (like NEWS) by pulling members from different groups. well my hopes is that Question debuts. newho my point was that they might do what they did to ryo and uchi again.

about ryo's dramas. i think he did the best in 1LOT but i love him so much more as Boo (aka Sekino) in GI.

oh in case you guys don't know yet, Attention Please Special will be airing in 2007. well i think it'll be then. newho, yay for ryo and aya ueto. maybe we'll get some real closure/confirmation on whether they ended up together or not. (ignore this if it's been mentioned here already).

Ryo is such a cutie^^ and i love how he's being like a bully to the other XD especially when he bullies Ueda-kun LOL!! He takes care of Uchi-kun alot... and when Uchi was hospitalised, he went to visit him for almost everyday and their friendship is really precious.. I hate Johnny-san who suspends Uchi, Kusano and NewS. Ryo-chan was really sad when Uchi got suspended and i hope it will end in Jan of 2007..

Personally i hate those ppl who doesn't know anything about NewS and claims that they love NewS when they only know about Pi-chan after Nobuta wo Produce and Ryo-chan after 1 litre of tears..

Ditto.. That's why I don't call myself a fan of a group unless I know and begin to love every single one of their members! I would just say I like their music or something like that.

for me, i think it's fine if people say they are a fan of NEWS even tho they know more and are more of a fan of one or two of the members than the whole group. altho i do get angry when people say they are fans of NEWS but diss one or more of the NEWS member.

...and yes i'm a huge NEWS fan. i mean i love all the guys even tho i may fangirl ryo more, i do love all the guys.

i don't think you should expect too much of ryo in this drama because he doesn't get as much screen time as he did in 1LOT. just watch it for the little bits of ryo screen time that you get and for aya ueto's lovable character.

actually back when Ryo was with K8 and just forming NEWS he died his hair blond and fluffed it out like a lion. Tegoshi even said that when he first joined NEWS and first met Ryo, he thought Ryo looked like a lion. that was during Ryo's rebellious days. i don't know what he was rebelling against but i'm glad he stopped. i love Ryo's black hair so so so so much. the black hair really matches him. newho, Ryo keeps his hair black because he made a promise to a sick uncle (who probably past away) that he'll always keep his hair black. how sweet.

well in the translation of ryo's jweb people interpret ryo's code names as...

elite-kun = uchi
p = yamapi
miso soup duo = massu + tegoshi
ramen shop = koyama
wisdom = shige
fox = kusano

but then others say...

wisdom + fox + ramen shop = koyama

well i'm confused, i don't know if he mentioned kusano or shige at all if wisdom+fox+ramen shop suppose to mean koyama. maybe shige and kusano doesn't read ryo's jweb so he didn't mention them.

oh well.

i have to confess that my family is that way too. we give each other tough love. we kind of act like ryo...i guess that's one of the reason why i like him too.

oh yes, the only people he probably aren't too mean to are yamapi, uchi, and tegoshi. also i've never seen him treat koyama that way. i think it's because koyama is always so polite and frank. well i don't really know.

yup! my uebo is really a cry baby..i have seen this uebo clip - its a game where they have to memorize something and then they have to dive in an 10ft (not sure) pool?? man, uebo got teased alot because uebo was really scared to dive and he had no choice so he was really crying while the others laugh... so sad to watch that... nway honestly i nver really bother to finish those ryo vs uebo clips - it makes me burn up i guess... but so happy theyre ok now

i remember reading somewhere that when ryo was young and in je, he was closest to maru and yassan. now he's close with yamapi, uchi, okhura, maru, and yassan.
