OK, here's something from the Kikujani radio show dated 21 Oct 2006 with Subaru & Ryo:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/bod89u (I won't mind if you share this link )...So cute, a bit awkward, but overall very adorable!
And here's the translation:
They start out awkwardly, hahaha. Ryo says at the beginning that the moment they started recording the show was the first time they had made eye contact since they entered the recording booth. They?fre saying that they hadn?ft done radio together in a while. Ryo had worked with Hina and Ohkura recently but not with Subaru.
They talk about the tour. Ryo says that there are 56 shows in total including the FTON tour earlier in the year, Subaru didn?ft know the exact number so he was surprised. Subaru says he doesn?ft get tired of it no matter how many times they repeat the same things over and over because they visit different places. Ryo agrees and says that the arenas they perform in are shaped differently, too.
They went on to introduce the new Kikujani sticker that the radio show has prepared for the listeners and jokes that they could stick it to their TVs, cell phones or even glasses to make it their originals. Then, they talk about how Ryo?fs about to finish a huge meal. Subaru admits that they were taping this radio show at 6:35 in the afternoon and was surprised to hear that Ryo hadn?ft eaten anything since he woke up that day. Ryo explains why: ?gYesterday, we had work, right? We taped Honjani and stuff. Then I went home, then I went out to eat with my friend until like 1 a.m. Then we went out to drink for a bit, then I ate again at around 6 a.m. and went to bed but woke up around 11 a.m. Then I was just so busy after that that I forgot to eat.?h He goes on to say that he?fs afraid he might lose weight again, but he?fll work hard to gain weight by eating that bento (lunch box packed with food) which was so good that it was ?grevolutionary.?h
They each had to choose a song that best fits their recent happenings. Subaru chose a song and went on to explain how it?fs important to have your own style even in a group. Subaru tries to explain that by using the lyrics to Ryo?fs song ?gRace?h as an example. People have different ideas but let?fs work hard together, kind of thing. Ryo?fs a bit shy about this, haha. Subaru says that the group that sings this song is stupid (in a good way, of course). He has their live DVD so he watches it sometimes. The group is so crazy, but Subaru admires them because they do what they want to do. They don?ft have much money so after their concerts, they would go to where the fans were and look for cigarettes so they can smoke. Subaru concludes that no matter what kind of work you do, you should be proud of what you do.
Ryo?fs song selection was Mr. Children?fs Tomorrow Never Knows. Here?fs the word-for-word:
(after the song)
Ryo: I actually went to a Mr. Children?fs concert recently.
Subaru: Oh really? When?
Ryo: October 4th.
Subaru: Oh yeah?
Ryo: Yup, at Zepp Tokyo. They?fre going on a live house tour with a band called The Pillows.
Subaru: Mr. Children is? Oh really.
Ryo: Yeah, together. They?fre going around small places like the live houses. I went to one of those?c and, haha, I don?ft know if I should say this or not, but?c I had two tickets. I wanted to go with someone, so I asked our manager for the K8 members?f schedules. I called him and asked him. He told me no one was free. But he was like, ?goh wait, Subaru is free.?h
Subaru: Are you serious!?
Ryo: Then, I was like ?gWhat should I do!?!??h
Subaru: Hahahahaha!! Ohh!?
Ryo: I was wondering what I should do. But, you seemed like you were back in Osaka that day.
Subaru: ?gSeemed like??h
Ryo: Haha, yeah. I didn?ft ask though, hahaha.
Subaru: And then?
Ryo: I ended up going with Tegoshi-kun. Tomorrow Never Knows was the first song they played!
Subaru: Oh really. The first one?
Ryo: Yeah, all of a sudden they started singing this with their acoustic guitars. Sakurai-san (the vocal) was so cool I got goosebumps.
Subaru: That?fs awesome.
Ryo: Yeah.
Subaru: But?c I lost to Tegoshi, huh?c
Ryo: No no no!!! I thought you were in Osaka!!!
Subaru: Yeah, you?fre like that?c
Ryo: No no no!!! Well, I talk to you more now than I did before don?ft I?
Subaru: Well, yeah?c
Ryo: But I was still nervous to ask you, so I couldn?ft!!! But, now that I said this right now, I will definitely ask you next time. Saying this right now made me feel so much better.
Subaru: Hahahaha!
Ryo: I?fm glad I was able to say this. It was a good opportunity.
Subaru: Okay, thank you very much.
Ryo: I?fll ask you next time, okay?
Subaru: Okay.
Ryo: Please come?c
Then Hina sends Subaru a message. ?gThis is Shingo Murakami. Dear Shibutani Subaru, actually, dear Babu-kun. I think you?fre the only one who would get what this means, so I?fll say it again. Dear Babu-kun.?h The two respond to this, of course. Both basically say, ?gEwww! Gross! What the heck was that!?h Ryo was like ?gYou guys are best friends!?h Subaru goes ?gEw, no!?h
One of the questions they got from the listeners was, ?gWhat kind of grandpa would you like to be??h Ryo then raises the question, ?gHow old do you want to live till??h Subaru says that 60 is fine, he wants to die sooner (lol). Ryo agrees and even says that he doesn?ft even care if he lives till 60 and says he wants to become a legend, haha. They both want to be cool grandpas that are enjoying the things they do.
Next question: ?gDo you have any experience where you became better at something because of someone??h (since the girl who wrote the question became a better singer because she sang many K8 songs) Subaru says that Blue Hearts inspired him to play the guitar. He copied the way Hiroto (a member of that group) dressed. Tight pants and all. Ryo was inspired by Mr. Children for guitar.
Next question: ?gDo you ever think that any of the K8 members are ?ecute?f??h They both don?ft dislike being considered ?ecute?f but they don?ft feel comfortable with it either. They think that most guys don?ft think that another guy is ?ecute?f but they think that Yasu probably thinks that way (lol). Then they start talking about Yasu and how he all of a sudden became so girly. Ryo wonders why Yasu is such a fashion-loving character, haha.
Next question: ?gHow do you take care of your throats??h Subaru says he gargles a lot, even between songs. Ryo has a strong throat; he can probably sing right after he wakes up. He should take care of it a bit more though.
Next question: ?gWhat kind of a child were you??h (since the girl who asked is studying to become a kindergarten teacher) Ryo was an energetic one who wore t-shirts and short pants even during the winter. He was in pre-school for probably six years and he only missed it three times. He was running outside barefeet ?glike an Asian kid?h all the time. Subaru was an energetic one too. He took karate lessons but would go visit a friend?fs house during practice and have dinner. That?fs something that won?ft happen anymore because he?fs such a shy man now. When he was little, he wasn?ft shy at all; everyone he knew were his friends.
The ending part?c they kept on saying how they were both shy for this situation, haha. Ryo says that he?fs nervous when he imagines the little moment that they?fd be alone together after recording this show. He says that he?fll leave a few minutes after Subaru does, hahaha. How awkward are they, lol.
