I'm looking for other series to watch, currently watching Vigilante Force and Angels On Mission. Whats a good recent comedy series made by TVB ?

I really liked survivors law. Dream of colours is really good too. and also i thought to love with no regrets was really good too. hmm...to me these three have more comedy that like tragic drama. So if u don't like scary stuff these three aren't bad.

hum if you want comedy go watch FM701 or War of genders
those 2 are really really funny

yeah, TVB doesnt do that well in comedy series, and i think Square Pegs is prolly the best one that i can remember.
VOH ancient and VOH modern are really good comedy series, but it'll take you forever to rent or download all the episodes

I thought Driving Power is one of comedy series, even though I don't really like this series, but if you like funny series then I guess you may try it.

I think To love w/ no regret will do. It's not entirely comedy but at some points it does bring up some good laughs. Recently Tvb doesn't have many good comedy series.

Could you tell me what's the synopsis of these series? I'd like to trust you guys and believe that these are good... but I remember most chinese series to be cheap and soap opera-like, even if they were hilarious. Gotta be careful eh?

I would recommend Hidden Treasures. I'm watching that right now. you might find it boring from the beginning. But if you have the patience it'll start to grow on you. It gets better as the series progress. It stars the comedic Bobby Au-Yeung along with Sonija Kwok, Anne Heung, Ellesmere Choi, Shirley Yeung, and Wayne Lai.

I recently watched Family Man. Love it to bits! I thought it was hilarious! Have a go. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Roger plays a character who has a mental IQ of a little kid. Jessica is tricked into marrying him but she finds herself liking Roger more and more.
But then when Winnie comes back, the truth of Roger's past is revealed.

haha, my summarization might now be good but this series was very cute. this is the series that Roger got many awards for =)

Triumph in the sky..Flora and Francis looks so cute together.
Hard Fate is pretty good too.

I would also recommend Net Deceptions starring Wong Hei, Eddie Kwan, Myolie Wu, Jack Wu, and Tiffany Lam. It's quite good and most people say that it's one of the better series of 2004. So you might want to give that a try.

I didn't like ND .. kinda sucky for me cos of some parts but I recommend ..

Triumph in the skies is good but its 40 eps.. so some parts can get rather boring.. but i think the training of pilots and the various happenings in the airport and on the plane is quite interesting. Its highly addictive because i kept wanting to watch the nx episode.

One small production i tot is also good is The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow. it stars kong wah.. he's an excellent actor. in the show.. he acts as an emperor living in modern society. its reallie comical when he keeps using "zhen" to address himself.. and all the ppl are like wat duh??!! and he uses his experience in dealing with officials to deal with office politics.

Survivor's Law is also a fairly good series. considering the actors/actresses are mostly new comers. the plot is rather goood. a worth watching serial.

If u like to see wong he in a different light, try Net Deception..he's v cool as a hacker in this series..

I would strongly recommend Square Pegs, Survivors Law and Golden Faith. The beginning of square pegs is very enjoyable but the ending spoils the whole series i think. Survivors law was extremely good considering that most of the actors were unknown during the time. Golden Faith i thought was excellent from beginning to the end but its very hard to find the complete series of this online. I have searched many places to find this series but i still cant find it

juz finish watching survivor's law.. it's quite funny! also u can try watching ups and downs in the sea of love, can't stop laughing at nick and maggie's bickering at each other. square pegs is quite ok too...

I would recommend The Legend of Love. I just finished watching that. It was a great serie. I liked the first two episodes the most. It had a bit of fantasy stuff, a bit of sad stuff, and some beautiful relationships. The characters were really good!

CAST:
Kong Wah - He was amazing! I thought he portrayed a triad leader in the movie very well. I really love him in the serial. I dont know why TVB doesn't give him more opportunities in order for him to show his true talents. His emotions, his anger, and his love toward Anne Heung touched me deeply. I wanted to watch every single scene that had him in it. He is a true actor. 5/5

Moses Chan - I don't really know what to say about Moses because I haven't seen a lot of serials that have him in it. However, I thought he did a good job with his role. Sometimes his acting was a little stiff, but he portrayed his role well. I thought the way he treated Gigi was a little cold. Even though she had done so many things for him, it didn't even touch his heart. He always loved Anne, and that bothered me a lot. 4/5.

Marco Ngai - I didn't know how he turned so evil. The plot didn't make any sense at all. He was so nice and so naive in the beginning, but at the end, he was a true villain. He didn't even have the nerve to kill an evil person at first, but later he could kill anyone when he felt like it. I just don't understand why and how. However, he did a very good job being a villain. He should get an award for it. I think TVB needs to have these kinds of awards. 4.5/5

Michael Tong - I felt sorry for Michael in this series because he died in such a pity death. He didn't know what to do with his life at the beginning, but when he realized and learned to be a filial son and know where he was going with his life, he had to die. It was sad. His acting has improved a little. 4/5

Anne Heung - I dont know why there are so many people who don't like Anne Heung. I thought that her acting has improved dramatically. When comparing her acting in "The legend of Lady Yang" and in this serial, she has learned much. Her acting is not as stiff as before. I thought she did a good job in this series. However, I thought it was unfair to Kong Wah because he loved her with all his heart, and all she thought about was Moses. She should return his love because after all, Moses should love Gigi. 4/5

Gigi Lai - Gigi is a very good actress. She is very good in here. However, I was a little annoyed by her tears. I thought her acting was a little exaggerated. She was trying too hard to be real. I mean, she cried too much over small things. I felt sorry for her because she did so many things for Moses and at the end he still considered her as his little sister. Even though he had a little feeling for her at the end after she took the bullet for him, his feelings toward Anne were stronger. 4/5

Melissa Ng - I have never seen Melissa in these kinds of roles before. So when I saw her, I was impressed. However, I didn't really like the dancing moves. I thought she was a little stiff sometimes. She fell in love with the wrong guy (Marco), which is sad. 4/5

The ending was kind of whack. I hate these kinds of endings. It seems like TVB is running out of ideas on how to end a series. So far, most of the series that I've seen from TVB have these kinds of ending. I know that it's an open ending, but maybe people don't want to guess. They want the company to complete the series or the storyline. I know it's creative in a way, but dont you think that after seeing so many similar endings, you are kind of tired of it? I was so mad when the series ended like that: not knowing who Anne would end up with (Kong Wah or Moses). Both of them stopped by her place, she looked up, and the series ended! However, Kong Wah was heading toward her place first... so my guess would be Kong Wah! But, I think that TVB should learn to complete a storyline.

i would recommand Square Pegs, Greed Mask, Good Against Evil, To Love With No Regrets.

survivors law is a good series with mostly young actors..greed mask a was a really good mystery series...square pegs was really cute and funny and better halves was pretty cute comedy

yep! i think that both square pegs and uds and down in the sea of love are great series! but i kinda like ups and down better 'cause it has a better ending...i didn't really like square pegs's ending...

I would recommend a new mainland series called The Greatest In The World. Even though it's a mainland series it has two TVB actor/actress in it which are Michelle Ye and Roger Kwok. I've watched the trailer it looks pretty good.

"Greed Mask" it is all about who is the murder.. among in the family.
"To get Unstuck in time".. this a mystery serie, little scary.. so dont try not watch alone..


Hidden Treasure - beginning is boring.. but once get to ep8 you will get hook..

Placebo Cure - it is all about Psychotherapy and it was interest.. it start out fast and end fast too.

angels of mission (for CHARMAINE and patrick mainly...shirley and the other guy weren't bad...sonija is dead boring in this)

to love with no regrets (i didn't like bosco in here but amy kwok, annie man, sherming yiu, wayne lai and power chan were COOL)
take my word for it (for CHILAM and annie man and bobby au yeung...everyone else was boring)
point of no return (CHILAM, CHARMAINE, chilam's family, damien, didn't like SAMMUL)
perish in the name of love (CHARMAINE, steven, micheal tong...maggie siu and moses chan were GREAT....sonija please stop acting)
burning flames 2 (wong hei, maggie cheung and wong hei's kid in this movie (i think her name is jenny) were sooo cute together...jenny is the first actress to make me cry in a tvb serie and she's not even a teen yet she's a talented little girl...damn if i watch that scene of her crying on her bed again i'm gonna break down...lol annie man and stephen au were funny too)

the best recent comedy is "To Catch the Uncatchable" you will be laughing throughout the whole series.

I think from this year, To Catch the Uncatchable, is the best series. It is very funny and both Ada and Dayo were fabulous and had great chemistry together.

Placebo Cure is not bad either. Sunny was really good in it.

handful of love was released not too long ago. it's a heartwarming serial that involves family issue concerning kids. d feeling is quite fresh...

To Get Unstuck In Time.

Although it's not genre commedy, but I think there are some funny moments. Romance, thrill, mystery, I think it scores it all.

I think Hidden Treasures and To Catch the Uncatchable are great tvb comedy series. I would recommend a really old one ... Mr. Diana.. with Gallen to and Flora Chan but I dont think anyone would be interested.

For romantic comedies, I would reccomend The Family Man, Let's Face It & Ups & Downs In The Sea Of Love.

For those who like investigations, I would reccomend DIF I-IV. They're old, but good.

Mystery - Greed Mask.

Action - Viglante Force, Burning Flame II & Armed Reaction too.

Long series - My favourites are; Golden Faith, ATE I & II, Secret Of the Heart.

Touching love stories - Return Of The Cuckoo (I love this show! I cry at almost every series) & The Awakening Story

Comedies - Square Pegs, Better Halves.

Modern - Taste Of Love, The Family Man, \Triumph In The Skies, Survivor's Law.

Ancient - Ermm I only really like Better Halves & Square Pegs because it's hilarious, & most of them I don't like that much except for maybe Legend Of Love.

Anyways I highly reccomend my all time faves - Ups & Downs In The Sea Of Love, Return Of The Cuckoo & The Family Man!!! You won't regret!!!

Totally recommend Greed Mask, I watched that whole serie in 1 day because it was so addictive, even tho the begining is better than the end. Also watch war and beauty which is showing now. Twins of Brother is ok I guess.

u should watch states of divinty 96, return of condor 95 or semi god demi devil 96. There both amazing series.

FIrst of all States of divinty 96 has a really good theme song and the music in the series is excellent very good storyline. Good acting in it.

Second, return of condor 95 is very touching. Its the best condor series i would think I strongly reccomend u watching it. Its with louis koo and carmen lee.

Third: Semi god Demi Devil, well i don't have much to say about this, its just an excellent series!

A good modern series: Reaching Out -- cant help but to feel good watching the show,

The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow was pretty funny but as usual TVB destroyed the ending.

WAB for sure. Very suspensful. It's the talk of town in HK.
