The band was originally called "Hybrid Theory" but then there's already a band called "Hybrid" so they didn't want to go through legal stuff, so they changed their name to Linkin Park. First album "Hybrid Theory" went double-platinum. Then they did a remix of their ablum and iut was called "Re-animation," which was actually really good for a remix album. The "new" album's called "Meteora."


Personally, Linkin Park's one of my favourite bands. They have pretty decent music and good music videos. Plus, they're really nice people, at least Ches and Rob are, considering they were the only two I've met.

Who else likes them?

I like them because they have great songs and they are not mainstream. I hope they do not deviate much from their first two albums in terms of style and lyrics.

That's the thing with a lot of bands, they go mainstream after they become popular. Linkin Park so far has been great, and I hope they stay that way.

Linkin park songs are really good.. like numb.. somewhere i belong.. in the end.. breaking the habits..

Anyway, a concert has just gone in Hong Kong on June 17 (Thu).

i like their band, most of their songs are cool and they are better than a lot of rock groups out there.

linkin park is my favourite band among all the rockers in U.S..... if u listen to his lyrics carefully, it really do bring out meaning.. not that i say others song don't have meaning, but this group is special

They're just excellent... the mixes of sounds, tunes, varieties... oh just so creative.... their lyrics are also interesting... bout sadness and life and stuff like that.

Mike and Chester are superb singing together... they go so well with the duo singing thing they've been doing... hahaha... anyone understand what i'm trying to say?

Each of their albums have more than one hit song in them... That's QUALITY!

Ahhh that would be their latest hit Numb-Encore This song make me more and more admire Linkin Park. They trully different style and way they present their song/music. Others just loud with no direction but Linkin Park otherwise

They came to Malaysia sometime ago and I miss their concert, until today I still very regret and sad for missing that concert

i think linkin park would fit in the alternative rock genre. i've always liked linkin park ever since they released hybrid theory, but what made me fall in love with them was when i was going through some tough times in school. i was dealing with alot of krap like backstabbing friends, and their lyrics really helped with cope with my anger and stress. i've been a devoted fan ever since. i loved all of their songs and i especially loved the numb mv.

I love Linkin Park period. Their songs are so meaningful, and i totally love the whole mixture of rap and rock! So creative, this band rocks!

LP is my favorite artist to listen to. The best thing about there music is mixing rap and rock together, the only genres i like. Mike's solo album sounds really cool. So is anyone here in the LP Underground?

My favourite song is in the end. I just love that song that I can play it over and over again and still not sick of it. I love the meanings in the lyrics.

I totally Love Linkin park, well not literally, since i have no interest in men...well yeah they are a really good band, i like the Faint, in the end, and points of authority. i also like the Linkin park - collision course album, since im a fan of hip hop, thats why i like the jay-z jam ..

Linkin Park ROCKS!!! I was in underground 4 but wasn't really active in the forums enough to make it worthwhile for me. The t-shirt is cool though...too bad they take too long to release albums and gets kinda frustrating with then continuously remixing old songs into new ones. Can't wait until the new LP comes out.

LINKIN PARK RULES!!! wow the music was so wondeful...it's different...n that's make them so unique...from album to album...they make sure they gave the best fr they fans n yes i get the best from them...every single song that they have is like my life story....that's y make me love them more...their songs really suitable for me when i'm depressed or angry or something...by their song i can express my self better...still cant forget when i go for their concert in KL...to see them in person...wow...chester...man...he got such a powerful voice...but sometimes i really pity him because he hav to shout like that....afraid that he might fainted or sumthing...hehehehe...after all...they are the best...cant wait for their next album...

I love their songs and have everyone of their cds. I completely adore Mike Shinoda and was obsessed over him 3 years ago, and even to this day I can recognize his voice anywhere. That's how I noticed that he's also Fort Minor too.

Hmm, I loved the first album, I enjoyed the remix album and I liked the 2nd album a lot. But sadly, I listened to the new album and hate it. Linkin Park has sold themselves out, they don't sound too different from the typical punk band.

I used to love Linkin Park, but i think they are getting worse and worse from one album to another. Hybrid Theory i love that album, Metoroa was "meh", the new album is really boring and crap for me.

I completely agree with you. Their first album was tops, the second was still a decent effort, but this new album.. pffft.

Hmm...i liked second album lots...1st album was awesome and minutes to midnight...not really that great. I mean...the only song that does it for me in this album is what i've done. That's about it. I'll just keep listening to meteora and Hybrid Theory.

This album was disappointing. The one song that is good is Leave Out All The Rest and What I've Done is decent. That one song that bashed Bush was kinda funny too heh

I havent listened to the whole album but i think this album was actually disappointing. There was so much hype surrounding their new album but it just wasnt up to par. I was a big fan of Linkin Park during their Hybrid Theory and Meteora days, but i just think their music has gotten really so so. But in Minutes to Midnight I did like Bleed it Out and What I've Done.

I think the album was not to bad & not to good as i expected to be, but there are some nice songs in the album.

I don't really like Linkin Park so I don't really have much to comment.
I only like 'What I've Done' from their new album.
They aren't all that bad in my opinion but there are better bands out there.

I just saw them in concert 2 weeks ago and they were absolutely amazing. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Minutes to Midnight but then again I haven't given it a fair shot.

Minutes to Midnight is a disappointment for me. I used to listen to LP and got really hyped when i knew that they were gonna have a new album. I thought it would still sound like the old LP but no, it doesn't. There are quite a couple of nice songs in there though.

when i first heard minutes to midnight in our common room i was thinking what the hell have they done?!?!
but when i listen to it properly it wasnt too bad especially the song bleed it out, gotta be my favourite song in their album
however you cant beat Hybrid Theory, classic.....

The album name is . . .TOO PERFECT.

The new Linken Park cd is pretty good. Some of the sounds are really catchy and you can sing along too.
