i don't find her pretty...i can't put my finger on it, but i know that there's something wrong with her face...i like her voice when she sang "Journey" though...actually, that's her only song that i know.

yup, i agree, with such big eyes and such a boney face, it just looks very, very weird. and especially after she dyed her hair black, it's looks even worse, very un-natural.

I'd have to agree about her looks. Not very attractive to say the least. However, I enjoyed At The Dolphin Bay, and I thought her debut album was actually pretty decent.

I don't know about her acting. She's so thin, thinner than the usual taiwanese star. She looks a lot like a very popular villainess/character actress in our country (Gladys Reyes! Any Filipinos here). I remember that when MyMVP was being shown here in the Philippines, a columnist from a leading newspaper said that she is not beautiful, if she would be an actress here, she would have to get the roles of the bestfriend of the lead star or the antagonist. I know its quite mean but I am just quoting that columnist. What was really embarassing was that the columnist even said that Jolina is prettier than her.

I think she's more uglier in mvp than in dolphinbay.she's cute in dolphinbay and the bangs made her more attractive and likeable to the audience..

my opinion is quite the opposite... she can sing (i heard some of her songs and her voice has the same quality with Faye Wong's voice)--- she should use her real voice than sing in headtone....she sounds like she rans out of breath. she's not pretty, in her series she's so thin like a starvation victim.

She's too skinny. Anyway, I've read form a news that her company treats her very good to the extent that fan wei qi was kinda ignored by the company. That's why I don't like her that much. Anyway she has a storng voice for such a skinny person. However, she cannot be compared to faye wong as mentioned in the prvious posts. Faye wong cannot be replaced by her.

hm... I don't like her very much. I agree that she has a pug face. Her face is too small for eyes that are so big, and I don't know about her being thin (all Taiwanese girls to me are skinny) ...but her mouth is too 'pouty' and her nose is too upturned. The only reason that I think she's popular is because she has big "western" eyes... for some reason all Taiwanese people like really really big eyes in their female stars. Her voice is a little too reedy, although I think it is quite strong, but like a lot of current idols, that's all she has. There's no real depth or tonality or stretch of skilly in her voice-- all her songs sound the same to me.

She always reeks of the same taint that people accuse Cyndi of having-- is that she tries too hard to be too cute. I like Cyndi well enough...but Angela, having her play the cute act (when I don't even think she IS cute) is really really irritating.

this woman is a terrible actress.. i am willing to overlook the fact that she isn't pretty to play alongside such good looking actors if she has got some talent, but her acting is terrible and her singing is horrendous. she can't sing live she sounds like someone struggling to hit the high notes.. and even when you think she's getting there.. she doesnt. she has no range in her voice and its ironic how in this movie she is picked to sing for Sky Walk out off thousands of people. that's hysterical! the woman needs acting and singing lessens because her role in dolphin bay is just pitiful. half of the time she is so stiff and she shows no emotion in her face in expected scenes. she's also a terrible cryer .. im not convinced. she gets no thumbs up for me even if this series is semi decent. sorry to those who like her.

wow? she's ugly? really, first time i saw her music video on mtvchi, i thought she looked quite pretty.... and the singing was good too. or maybe i just happened to see one of her better videos. i haven't seen much of any of her other works.

I think her acting is quite raw; I have seen a few episodes of dolphin bay but her acting is really not bad considering that its second attempt at doing dramas. But then again, I don't watch taiwanese dramas so I don't really know.

As for singing, I have no complains. For her petite size, she have powerful lungs. And if you listened closely from her first album to third album, her voice control and technique have improved. Her singing is one of the better in the Taiwanese industry; as compared to some of her peers like Cyndi, Rainie...

Her cutesy image lately doesn't sit well on me but I guess her company probably realises that cuteness translates into more revenues and profits from ads (as seen from rainie and cyndi) and she probably has to go along with it. It's a shame cos that girl can really sing yet they prefer to downplay her voice and concentre on packaging and marketing.

And yes I am a fan of her ever since I heard her first album.
