i mean the thought of lean promoting janice's sister the year after janice came into the industry sounds a bit wierd.... its like they are the next twins and i can see lots of duets by the sisters. (

it looks like jill is more suited for the modelling industry. well lets hope that jill and janice have their own prominent styles.. in terms of singing... if not they should just combine efforts and form a team. ( which is quite cheesy)

In earlier news about this, they said they will not form a group together and be the next Twins or 2R or whatever. They might have duets together, but Janice had said their stylesare totally different.

Janice sings mostly slow and romantic type songs while Jill sings fast and rap type of songs so thats probably why they won't form a group. And Jill will start with the sexy image while Janice has the sweet, cute image.

Did you guys reconize the sound, isnt this from Nana - Lonely, maybe a remix and lyrics change ... but the Chorus is the same.

i think Jill has a really nice voice aswell, very similiar to Janice but somehow i dont think she'll do as well as her sis! cos people will recognise her as Janice's sister and not a singer...

i think people might get jill and janice confused at first because..well obviously they're twins but i think later there will everyone would get used to it...

Wow, they have VERY similar voices. Even the accent is similar! I think Jill is a very good singer, but like one of the above posters said, people will probably recognize her for Janice Wei's sister instead of Jill Wei. This really reminds me of Hilary Duff and Haylie Duff. It's like, one of them comes out, then helps to bring the other sister out too. In my opinion, it's a little stupid, cause they will more likely than not always be recognized as sisters. But Jill deserves to come out of Janice's shadow, don't you think?

BTW, this song sounds very familiar...is this a remake of another song? Does anyone know what song it is?

Janice's twin sister Jill is following the steps of her sister in entering the music industry. Even though they are twins, their personalities are completely different. Therefore her song styles are very different from Janice's. In her hit song Lonely's music video, she will be in four different looks. In the end, she liked her fake short hair look the best because she really wants to try short hair but doesn't want to cut her hair.

After Janice, Jill is attaining the company's support, spending a 6 figure amount on the music video. She joked, "Looking back at the music video, I feel very fat. I have to work hard losing weight." Janice had also gave Jill her opinions and told her to work hard and don't compare yourself to anyone.

Now her twin sister, Jill, is announcing that she will join the music industry next month, but not yet highly promoted by her company. Even though of that fact, a Korean company is interested in her and invited her to be Jeon Ji Hyun's apprentice.

Earlier Jill has participated in Amusic's group album with her song, Lonely, and has filmed her music video revealing the unique her. That left a deep impression for the manager of IHQ,INC. They said that Jill can be able to fight it through in Korea and also since she has the Korean blood. From this alliance, Jill became the first Hong Kong singer in that company.

IHQ,ICN is one of the biggest company in Korea, with people like Jeon Ji Hyun, Cha Tae Hyun, Jung Woo Sung, Song Hye Kyo, and other popular stars. No wonder why Jill is excited that her Lonely music video is being broadcasted in Korea's MTV Asia.

xD I really like her song Get Out. At first I doubted her because her other two songs weren't that good, but after listening to her album she's not that bad. Janice & Jill sound diff & they sing diff type of music so no need to compare ! Hope to hear more from her soon.

Personally, im not trying to offend any Jill fans but her music just doesnt fit the hk category i mean half hers songs are english, if they are going to promote hong kong music they have to have some chinese songs. I agree her style of music is quite different but it just doesnt sound good, compared to Janice i think Janice has her on the long run because Janice started her career with good suited canto songs whereas Jill is singing english songs which might be more popular for western chinese people such as abcs. Her album was really a disappointment, seriously no offense so dont flame me for this but i was hoping she would do much better being the fact that everyone had high hopes for her because Janice was good, and we was hoping her twin would do even better.

Well I think you guys should stop comparing Jill & Janice together, even though they are related, that doesn't mean that you guys should be saying 'oh Jills better then Janice' or the other way around. What's so bad about having english in a song? Half of Janice's first CD are ALL english also? I dont hear you say anything about that, so stop with the 'english in Jill's songs'. AND it's not like Jill wrote her songs (did she? i don't think so) with stupid lyrics. like totally no offense =O!

I think they are both great and can't be compared with one another. Comparing their styles is like comparing christina aguilera with mary j. blige or something. It's just totally different style but both are talented. Jill's music is definitely more Americanized though whereas Janice is more popish. I hope they both succeed because they both have great looks and talented voice!

Anyone notice the music on "Axel F"? I hope, they got permission to use it and not get sued like Hyori is. Also, does no.6 remind any one of that song by Vitamin C called "graduation"?

i seriously doubt that Jill will get the recognition that Janice got when she first came out, her singing is not bad, but its just not HK mainstream, but props to her for trying out something new

Last night newcomer Jill Vidal held her music show at Causeqay Bay, officially meeting with the fans for the first time. After Janice, here comes her twin sister, Jill, ready to charge into the music industry.

At Causeqay Bay, she held a 'Jill Live Dance Performance' event last night. With a few dancers, she sang three of her fast songs while dancing. The fans were crowded around the fences, shouting and raising their signs. Jill's father also came to support his daughter.

Although it is her first show, Jill was extremely calm on stage and was very focused. But she rarely talks on stage, which shows that her Cantonese can not be compared with Janice. After the show, she said, "I'm not nervous! I am very happy that I can perform and I've waited a long time. After recording the album, I really wanted to perform on a stage. (How does it feel performing for the first time?) It's okay! But I can do better. Dancing and singing for the first time is a bit hard. (Were you calm on stage?) I was a bit nervous! I was on the phone with Janice earlier and she gave me alot of encouragement. She told me to smile more when I'm up on the stage and just enjoy it!"

Since Janice and Jill are twin sisters, it's unavoidable that they are compared with each other. Jill said, "I'm not worried since our styles are different. I like to dance while Janice is very calm. (Will you take Janice as a goal?) I will not compare us. I am happy that she has such a great result and I hope I can do that too! (Your Cantonese seems to be not as good as Janice's.) Yes, that's why I'm continuously practicing! (Did any fans mistaken you?) Nope, they can clearly distinquish us! (You are skinner than Janice!) Yes because I often dance. I think she's pretty skinny but the company wants her to lose more weight!"

I think Jill has potential. It'd definitely be nice to see some variety on the HK music scene. The thing about her albums is that a lot of the songs sound plagerized and the rest just aren't very good quality. Thus, Jill doesn't have the freshness that Janice did. Even though Janice covered a lot of Leon's songs, a lot of them were remixed especially for her so she was able to bring something new to the table. Jill sounds like "been there, done that" -- no creativity. I don't know who produced Jill's album, but it could not have possibly been the same people who Janice's. It may've been the same label, but not the same people. Jill needs better writers and musicians. Other than that, I think she's on par with Janice, except Jill can supposedly dance. (I've never seen myself)

I stlll say Jill's gonna have a tough time trying to make it. Because a lot of the people who will be drawn to Jill were fans of Janice first, and because their styles are such polar opposites, people who like Janice's type of music typically aren't gonna go for Jill's. Unfortunate.

Anyway, my overall thoughts on her album: Easy listen, but could've been better. I know she can do better. I hope she'll get better producers next time.

i'm listening to jill's cd 'Hit me' right now. THe first few songs are pretty good! she has a great voice just like her sister.

I like the songs "Get out" and "Lost in Paradise" from her album. I do think she has a nice voice too but was hoping she would have at least one or two slow songs so we can tell if she can sing or not. Her voice does match with the type of music she sings but I don't like it when she "raps". I don't know if you can call it rapping...

yup.. recently i become so addicted to listen this twin sisters songs.. i think both of them not bad.. of cos got some differences between them but one thing is so weird that their sounds so alike!!! i more toward to jill's "get out" and "heartbreaker".. the rest also not bad.

I think she's really good! As good as her sister Janice.. Love her style of music.. So Americanize.. Hip hop style and she sings well in that too! Hope she gets the best newcomer for this year like her sis

funny jealousy does sound alot like vitamin c's graduation. i dunno tho, i quite like jill's music, i don't think anyone's ever going to mix her and her sister up. they don't look like twins really. and their style is SO different. i really like jill's style, i just wish someone who knew english well would write her lyrics so that she doesn't have to rap that lame rap that she does in "get out", which is a really nice song other than the content of her lyrics.

just heard her 'get out' song which was good enough to catch my curiosity and that's when i researched and discovered that she is janice's twin sister. how cute and talented they are. i'm looking at images of them and just fascinated at their "healthy" figures... usually hk girls are skinny and love being skinny... but these two sisters have a "healthy" figure. they win my respects.

so i've read some reviews on this album, and most people thought it was horrible only some thought it was pretty good. and i guess im one of those "some" people.

i agree the english rap lyrics were....uh....horrible. esp in Lonely. i mean.....a song about a dog wanting Jill's milkshake. wth right? but everything else is quite ok.
Heartbreaker, Mon Saturday, Get Out, Be a Man and Axel F were some good songs. well...actually for Heartbreaker everything was good except for the english lyrics since you know...."i like to break your heart, and eat it like a tart..."? uh...no.

but in the end, it really comes down to what style of music you like. but if you like hip-hop and r&b style of music....i recommend her album. although not all of the songs were good, some of them are worth to listen to.

The album was quite ok actually. But some of the lyrics weren't too great... =T I think ppl shud give Jill a chance since this is only her first album. Jill's voice is really similar to Janice's and I think they both are good singers. Lol blame the person who wrote the lyrics for her. =P
