어려서부터 경기도 의정부시에서 살아온 이동욱은 이에 따라 부모와 함께 오는 11월 아파트 공사가 끝나는 대로 서울로 이사를 할 예정이다.

이동욱은 평소 ‘성실남’으로 소문이 날 정도로 근검절약 습관이 몸에 배 있다. 연예활동을 하며 생기는 수입은 모두 어머니가 관리를 하고 자신은 용돈을 받아 쓰고 있다. 친구나 동료 연기자, 스태프에게 크게 한턱을 낼 때는 어머니의 허락을 받을 정도다.

Okay, so this one says a lot of the same things as before, and has just a few more details. LDW and Hyun Young take on the roles of Hyung Sa (LDW) and Ki Ja (HY), who disguise themselves as journalists in the movie "Strongest Romance," which started filming in Seoul on the 17th. With the appealing casting of LDW and HY, interest has gathered in "Strongest Romance", and on location there's already a bit of a feeling that there's something unusual and momentous going on.

From the outset of filming, they started with a shaky reunion scene between Kang Hyung Sa (LDW) and Choi Ki Ja (HY). Hyung Sa and Ki Ja first meet because their jobs force them to work together (something they're both not happy about) at a newspaper office where they're doing something about a reality program dealing with arresting criminals. From the very first filming, the two actors had to perform the difficult task of acting out the subtle psychological warfare that the two characters engage in, but nevertheless LDW and HY were ready for the task, their acting making it difficult to believe these two had only just met, and even received applause from the staff who had been holding their breath. After completing the first bit of filming, LDW and HY were surprised to hear they both had the same impression that their first scene had a feeling of unrushed familiarity.

[Okay, this paragraph is a little difficult because there's a phrase I can't seem to translate, but basically he's saying that with his first film "Arang," he had a certain level of response, and with this project he's promising to do even better. The exact phrase that is confusing me is 무대인사, which I think means something like the number of stage bows he gave... with Arang, he did it 80 times, and with "Strongest Romance," he laughingly shouts out that he'll do it 100 times at least.]

And Hyun Young promises that she will work 100 times harder on this film, and hopes it'll be a hit.

From the opening of "Strongest Romance," it makes you curious to see how the rather formidable mental battling between Kang Hyung Sa and Choi Ki Ja will develop into romance. The film is scheduled to shoot for the next two and a half months.

Those two people have been cast as secondary characters in the movie... The guy is Jang Hyun Sang, who seems to be a well-respected actor whose previous image was calm and gentle. In "Strongest Romance," he completely sheds that image as the boss of a drug-ring organization that the detective, LDW, is chasing. His character is portrayed as pretty rotten, but his "evil acting" comes across with a lot of appeal. It's an important role, and one that shows off a wide acting range for Jang, and in making the action confrontation scenes the best they can be, LDW is working very hard to practice at an action school, which he is approaching with a lot of enthusiasm. The action scenes are supposedly really appealing.

The woman pictured is Jeon Su Kyung, who's known for acting in musicals. Her role is as a colleague of HY's character, and she's an entertainment reporter whose character has a lot of comic elements, and the two women's comic talents work well together.

AHHH, I just realized something -- I totally mistranslated (in earlier posts) the names of LDW and HY's characters. What I thought were their names are actually literally Detective Kang and Reporter Choi. And this might be something that doesn't mean much if you don't care about the Korean language, but I've been translating the title as "Strongest Romance" because in Korean the title reads "Choi" (most) "Kang" (strong) "Ro-men-su" -- and "Strongest Romance" is actually also a pun on the names of the two leads, since their surnames are Choi and Kang. Hee. So it means "strong romance" and also "Choi and Kang's romance." Silly point, but I think it's cute.

Anyway, it just goes on to say that the two secondary actors do a solid job of supporting the two lead characters, and the movie looks fun and good, etc.
