“오늘 저희 촬영현장을 찾아주셔서 너무 감사드려요. 막간을 이용해서 제가 노래 한곡 불러드릴게요. Call me touch me 누나 누나의~ 누나 누나의~ 누나 누나 누나의 마음을 봐~ 사랑 가득해 나이 따위 뭐가 어때~.” 지하 나이트클럽 한쪽에서 누군가가 마이크에 대고 짜랑짜랑 노래를 부른다. 콧소리가 한껏 들어가 있다. 오렌지색 슬리브리스 원피스를 입은 현영이다. 영화 <최강로맨스>의 촬영현장을 찾은 취재진을 위한 귀여운 쇼타임. 정신차린 카메라들이 우르르 몰려간다. 옆에서 미친 듯이 웃다가 “닥쳐! 그만해!” 하고 농담 반 진담 반으로 저지하는 이동욱이 아니었다면 현영은 자신의 두 번째 히트곡 <차차차>를 끝까지 불렀을지도 모른다. “감사합니다~.” 앙증맞은 끝인사와 함께 무대가 막을 내린다. 많은 사람들이 비슷한 생각이었을 것이다. 영화촬영보다 몇배 즐거운 볼거리인데, 너무 짧아서 아쉽다.
로맨틱코미디 <최강로맨스>는 뻔뻔한 애교를 필살의 무기로 보유한 엔터테이너 현영의 스크린 데뷔작이다. 엉뚱하고 씩씩한 기자 최수진과 정의감에 불타지만 성질은 막가파인 형사 강재혁이 아옹다옹하다 사랑하게 된다는 스토리. <구세주>를 연출했던 김정우 감독은 “최수진의 캐릭터를 재수없지 않게, 귀엽게 할 수 있는 사람으로 현영이 제격”이라면서 “대본도 현영에 맞춰 많이 바꿨다”고 설명했다. 강재혁 일행에 붙어서 나이트클럽 현장 잠입에 성공한 최 기자가 강 형사 귀에 대고 속삭인다. “저기요, 제가 잠입취재해봐서 아는데요, 그렇게 가만히 있으면 티나요. 들킨다고요. 저처럼 춤추세요. 자연스럽게.” 카메라 위치를 바꾸느라 똑같은 장면을 네댓 테이크 갔다. 현영은 느슨한 애드리브 대신 매번 정확한 억양과 발음으로 똑같이 대사를 친다. “주연작이 결정됐을 때 정말 기뻤고, 정말 솔직하게, 이 모든 게 여러분 사랑 때문이라고 생각해요. 여러분 사랑이 곧 인기인 거니까. 이번 영화로 현영 스타일의 코믹 캐릭터를 트렌드로 만들어보고자 하는 욕심도 있고요.” 믿기 어려울 만큼의 긍정적 에너지를 뿜어내던 현영의 충무로 진출작 <최강로맨스>는 12월 초 촬영을 종료하고 내년 상반기 개봉예정이다.

“저벅저벅, 또각또각….” 클럽 케이브 입구로 향하는 구둣발, 그리고 하이힐 소리가 나직이 들린다. 순간 수진(현영)의 하이힐 굽이 삐끗해 넘어지려는 찰라 재혁(이동욱)의 손이 날렵하게 수진의 허리를 받쳐준다. 부드러운 재혁의 손놀림에 가슴이 쿵쾅거리기 시작하는 수진. 아무 일 없었다는 듯 앞서가는 재혁을 수진이 원망스런 눈빛으로 따라간다. “컷! 후반은 좋은데 초반 느낌이 좀 전보다 별로다. 이 전 컷과 지금 컷을 섞으면 딱이겠는데.” 다시 카메라가 틸 업하며 멋들어진 옷으로 잠복취재(?)에 나선 두 배우를 나란히 비춘다. 드디어 재혁의 손길이 닿는 순간, 수진의 표정이 미세하게 흔들린다. “오케이! 이제 두 사람 발 따자.”
My thoughts on the film~ it has a very 70s, disco fever feel to it, judging from all the pictures... really reminds me of the movies "Starsky & Hutch" and "The Anchorman"
No wonder HY wore that attire, she was there to dance! And Wookie... I love the way he stands out amidst the dancing disco crowd, looking all serious and mysterious... 
there's just something so sexy about it (Pervie alert, hehe). And also, I love the way his attire combined the tie and the style of coat usually used for the tux... it looks dressy but not too dressy, and it doesn't look too business-y, either. I noticed that this was also the style he used during the PIFF -- no wonder he got 2nd Best Dresser award
I wish Wookie would show some dance moves here.

to my surprise, it was on the pink ribbon and not on the cardboard! argh!

로맨틱코미디 <최강로맨스>는 뻔뻔한 애교를 필살의 무기로 보유한 엔터테이너 현영의 스크린 데뷔작이다. 엉뚱하고 씩씩한 기자 최수진과 정의감에 불타지만 성질은 막가파인 형사 강재혁이 아옹다옹하다 사랑하게 된다는 스토리. <구세주>를 연출했던 김정우 감독은 “최수진의 캐릭터를 재수없지 않게, 귀엽게 할 수 있는 사람으로 현영이 제격”이라면서 “대본도 현영에 맞춰 많이 바꿨다”고 설명했다. 강재혁 일행에 붙어서 나이트클럽 현장 잠입에 성공한 최 기자가 강 형사 귀에 대고 속삭인다. “저기요, 제가 잠입취재해봐서 아는데요, 그렇게 가만히 있으면 티나요. 들킨다고요. 저처럼 춤추세요. 자연스럽게.” 카메라 위치를 바꾸느라 똑같은 장면을 네댓 테이크 갔다. 현영은 느슨한 애드리브 대신 매번 정확한 억양과 발음으로 똑같이 대사를 친다. “주연작이 결정됐을 때 정말 기뻤고, 정말 솔직하게, 이 모든 게 여러분 사랑 때문이라고 생각해요. 여러분 사랑이 곧 인기인 거니까. 이번 영화로 현영 스타일의 코믹 캐릭터를 트렌드로 만들어보고자 하는 욕심도 있고요.” 믿기 어려울 만큼의 긍정적 에너지를 뿜어내던 현영의 충무로 진출작 <최강로맨스>는 12월 초 촬영을 종료하고 내년 상반기 개봉예정이다.

The director says that the character of Su Jin is someone who’s cute without being annoying, and Hyun Young suits her very well. In fact, the script was altered a few times to suit her better. She was really happy to get the role, and thans all of her fans. She admits she hopes that this movie will start a trend for Hyun-Young-style comic characters.
