Not long after starting filming on "Police Cadet Brave Hearts", Sammul Chan and Fiona Sit have had rumours of them falling out with each other and recently this animoscity seems to have stepped up a level as reports from the set indicate that Fiona has been complaining about appearing in a swimsuit and there are suggestions that it was Sammul who has been passing out this news. The producer Wong Wai Sing has had to step in, revealing that Sammul has expressed a query as to why Fiona was cast into the part and saying that Sammul should be more embracing and put aside their personal differences.

In response to the producer's words, Sammul has felt rather annoyed because he feels that the producer is biased against him and his manager Ivy Chow Kwan Yin also feels that the response was very unfair after reading the reports and immediately contacted the artiste department to gain and understanding of the situation: "As a producer, he should handle things fairly, but after reading the reports, I think he is leaning in one direction. Sammul is a member of the company and should be fairly treated. I am very disappointed in this producer." As Chow is very unhappy, she immediately complained to the artiste department: "I have expressed my opinions to the artistes department and I wanted to know exactly what happened. You will meet with unfairness in any line of work, but this is very obviously over the line."

In response to the remarks made by Sammul's manager, Producer Wong says: "I have not been helping any particular side, I am just telling the truth. Having worked with Sammul in so many shows, I think he gives a very good performance and I spoke to him today. He says that he worked with Fiona today and it was fine, so I think there was just a misunderstanding in words. I also hope that they can overcome their differences and I will also speak to Fiona to understand her situation."

Appearing on a radio show yesterday, Fiona herself pointed out that it was all a misunderstanding, but she was left speechless by the host Cha siu Yan. She added that she isn't very good at speaking and apologised to the reporters on the day. As for the matter of the swimsuit, Fiona explained: "That scene did not require me to get into the water, so the company had made arrangements with TVB that I could wear a T-shirt on top." She also adds that she has received a warning: "There are a lot of rules in this show and we are not allowed to give press photocalls at the police training school, so when this happened, I was reprimanded by the company and the school and told that if this happened again I didn't need to carry on filming. I was very scared, but the company has discussed this with me and I would rather be scolded by the producer and admit it anyway, because I don't want there to be any misunderstanding."

Good girl newcomer Fiona Sit was filming with Sammul Chan for "Police Cadets Brave Hearts" at a club in Tuen Mun earlier, but wearing a swimsuit and T-shirt, she was unhappy that there were reporters at the scene and refused to remove the t-shirt. Sammul noticed this and said: "You will look a bit odd going into the water looking like that." However Fiona refused to remove the t-shirt, saying that her record company do not want her swimsuit pictures to appear in the papers.

Afterwards, TVB staff brought out a very conservative swimsuit for Fiona, but she would not give way and became rather impatient. After about an hour, TVB finally gave in and just filmed some warm up shots with Sammul beside the pool before calling it a day, postponing Fiona's swimsuit scenes for another day.

When producer Wong Wai Sing was asked about Fiona's refusal to remove her t-shirt leading to a hindrance in the progress to filming, he said: "I will have to ask the director, but I know that Fiona's record company has called TVB about this incident, saying that they were unhappy about the press being present at the shoot. However, that is a public place and we could not control that."

Executive from Fiona's record company Warner, Chan Chi Kwong said: "We have already spoken with TVB beforehand and we knew there would be some swimwear scenes and we will be happy for her to film them if she has to, but the most important thing is that it is not forced."

As for Sammul who was wearing his swimming trunks, he showed off his obviously more toned body and when asked about Fiona's refusal to wear her swimsuit, he said: "I don't know, why don't you ask her."

I think it's more because she feels she doesn't have the body for a swimsuit. happy.gif'

Fiona Sit is still a very fresh newcomer to the industry, but she has a great support from her fans and with popularity comes gossip leading to her recent negative reports in the press, first with the swimsuit incident and not allowing the press to photograph her and then later the disagreements with co-star Sammul Chan when she suspected him of revealing her whereablouts. With all the reports, she has been reprimanded by her record company, telling her to reflect on her behaviour. After this, Fiona has become markedly more obedient as she maintained her polite smile despite having to film under the burning sunshine.

Working in Hung Hom on filming for TVB's "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" with Tavia Yeung yesterday, the crew had already built a human wall to prevent the press from snooping. Fiona was well aware of the press presence, but this time her attitude was very different and not only had she put away her frowns, she kept a smile on her face, even though the sun was so strong that she could barely open her eyes. She did exactly what the director instructed her to before staying around to speak to the press later, answering their every question.

Although she denies that she is at odds with Sammul, Fiona was still very reserved with her answer, saying: "We are not in conflict, people just wrote about it that way." With reports that the producer is taking her side, she forces a smile and says: "He is not taking sides, I really don't know why as I haven't asked him about this. (Do you chat to Sammul? Can you be friends?) If it is necessary then we will talk, but we will not discuss this matter to avoid embarrassment. I am only concerned about my performance, we will not be unfriendly."

As for the swimming scene, there were suggestions that it was Sammul who let the news out and led to all the gossip. Fiona indicated that she is not bothered about the press visiting and taking photos and she has no suspicions about who told the press. As for the remarks about her attitude and constant frowning, she explains that it was all a misunderstanding, firstly with the style of the swimsuit as well as the burning of the soles of her feet by the sun burned ground. She says: "Can you really expect me to smile?" She admits that after this incident, she has had a discussion with her record company who have asked her to learn how to control her emotions and improve her expressions, so she wore a smile throughout the interview and added: "From now on I will be good and stand here for you to take as many photos as you want."

In the afternoon, Fiona took part in Garfield's 26th birthday celebrations and she once again apologised to the press for her behaviour, saying: "I have to say sorry to the reporters, I am not always frowning." She also denied that she is becoming arrogant before she is famous, admitting that she has never been famous and does not feel that she is a star, just a newcomer on the music scene. Although she has had to juggle filming with her promotions, leaving her with a severe lack of sleep, she daren't utter a word of complaint as she smiles: "I am afraid that people will mistake me for being cool and cheeky, so no matter how hard it is, I will still make time to see everyone."

As for Tavia, she headed out to Causeway Bay for another promotion after filming with Fiona and after becoming a spokesperson for a slimming company, she has broken through her usual conservative image, appearing in a strappy top and hot pants as she handed out gifts in the shopping centre. Tavia has a lot of scenes with Fiona in "Police Cadet" and although her opposite seems to be upsetting everyone, Tavia does not find her a problem. She believes that Fiona has a very Western personality and is too direct with her words. As Tavia has known Sammul Chan for a while, she feels very sorry for him getting involved with all this gossip and she believes that he did not leak the information to the press at all.

Sammul Chan was working opposite Deep in yesterday's scenes and he responded to the press saying: "I have not worked with him before and I have not been paying any attention to the reports, so I will not be intentionally comforting him. I have been good and never been tempted nor have I seen any drugs." As for whether he has made amends over his previous feud with co-star Fiona Sit, he laughs: "Nothing happened, so why do we need to make amends?"

Fiona was asked whether she was worried that the finished series would be shelved as a result of this incident and she says: "I am not worried, TVB is continuing to use him. If I get the chance, I will ask how he is." She adds that Deep was very absorbed with his filming and did not seem distracted.

TVB's new series "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" was filming on location in Stanley yesterday at a watersports centre in a scene where the cadets go kayaking and Fiona Sit's character meets with difficulties, leading to a heroic rescue by Sammul Chan, who is also swept into the water. As they are playing police cadets, the cast were all kitted out in their uniforms, but with the heat warning from the weather forecastings, they were all sweating buckets and when she was not needed on the set, Fiona hid under the parasol with some of the other female cadets, whereas the men were more lively, playing volleyball and with water pistols.

When the press arrived, Sammul was nowhere to be seen, with the earlier rumours and denials of a rift between Sammul and Fiona, is there still any animoscity between them?

Later, when he arrived, Sammul was asked why he was not present for the start of filming. He explains: "They had arranged for some of the others to learn some kayaking basics in the morning but as I already have a three star kayaking and life guard certificate and I had a late shoot the night before, so the director told me to come a little bit later. Originally I had planned to arrive after lunch, but the assistant director said that a big group of press had arrived, so I rushed here." Talking of whether he made bodily contact with Fiona when they filmed the rescue scene, he laughs: "Isn't that a good thing to make contact? (Are you guys okay now?) I have had enough sleep and am awake now. (Are you worried about sunstroke? (No, because I am used to the sun from filming at Wong Chuk Hang."

Fiona Sit says that she has only had three hours sleep in the last couple of days, so she is worried that her drowning scene might become real. When asked if she is afraid of Sammul playing tricks on her and letting her take a few more gulps of sea water, she laughs: "How would he? He is very professional and he is my best friend. I am not afraid of drowning, more of cramping. Am I worried about body contact? I wear a life jacket, so even if there is contact it will be limited to my limbs." With her short hair, Fiona's neck looks particularly long and there are plenty of her 'long neck' pictures being distributed on the internet. She says that she finds them quite amusing, but she has not been offended. She laughs: "People didn't know I had a long neck before, but my arms and legs are quite long so my neck is too, this makes it all match."

Yesterday was Ron Ng's first attempt at kayaking, but he seemed to take to it rather quickly and he says that although this is the first time for him, he has rowed a small boat before so he has some experience. He remembers that seven or eight years ago, he and some friends went to Woo Kai Sha to row, but the strong wind blew them towards the refugee camp and they were taken away by the officers there, leaving them rather embarrassed.

When asked whether there was any danger when they came to film, Ron says: "The coach had prepared an inflatable rescue boat to cope with any emergencies. (Are you worried about fainting with the heat?) I have had enough sleep, so I should be okay." When a reporter told him not to faint in case he was mistaken for having taken drugs, he says: "I do have a nasal allergy, but it is dry and I don't have a runny nose." Also talking of him spraying people with a water pistol during filming, leading to the director telling him to settle down, he says: "I was disturbing Yeung Ying Wai's rehearsal, so the director told everyone to be quiet. In fact we are all very good and when we are waiting to shoot, we kick the feathershuttle to pass the time because we are healthy young men."

i don't think that was it. she didn't change into the swimsuit that day because that particular scene did not require her to wear it. but then again, i'm not her, so i wouldn't know if this is true or not.

[The Sun]

Filming earlier in Sai Kung for "Police Cadet Brave Hearts", Fiona Sit was only opposite the two leads who she has been rumoured to have fallen out with, Ron Ng and Sammul Chan. Although Fiona had previously indicated that she and Sammul were 'best friends', they seemed to exchange few words during the filming and after finishing, Ron Ng sped off straight away. Fiona was seen to have been sitting alone during the shoot, whilst Sammul and Ron chatted cheerily to each other.

When the session finished at around 6pm, the director allowed Ron and Fiona to leave and they each went their separate ways. When Fiona saw the press, she was originally on the phone, but she still mustered plenty of smiles, whilst Ron took the opportunity and jumped into the company vehicle. When Sammul, who was left to make up a few scenes was interviewed, he said: "The location scenes are almost finished now, so we can breathe a sigh of relief."

When Ron was later caught in TVB City waiting for the studio session, he was asked why he had nothing to say to Fiona and he replied: "We talked to each other in the car, just you didn't see us." At the time, "Twin of Brothers" was airing on the TV screen, so he turned his attentions to the show and said: "I am usually too busy and don't have time to watch, so I would really like to see how I did."

Fiona Sit took part in a slimming product autograph session yesterday and as well as attracting a group of fans, her father was also there for support, filming her with a DV recorder. Talking of her co-star in "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" Deep Ng, Fiona said: "I saw him this morning at around seven o'clock and he seemed more energetic than before and looked great. He is still very absorbed in his work and does not seem to be too affected emotionally. (Have you comforted him?) I am afraid of awkwardness, the biggest help to him is to pretend nothing happened and that will put him at ease."

Originally planned to finish filming at the end of July, "Police Cadet" will now be filming until the end of August and this will affect Fiona's other work. She says: "My recording schedule has all be messed up and postponed until the end of August. Originally I was to appear at a signing for this year's book fair, but this has been postponed to the comic fair later."

Fiona Sit, Ron Ng and Sammul Chan were among the cast members at the Police Cemetary, filming a funeral scene for "Police Cadet Brave Hearts". After all the gossips, the prosecutions and accidents striking cast members since filming began, the producer made sure that he followed the usual tradition and handed out lucky packets to every cast members for their safety and even for Michael Miu, who was not present at the shoot, but whose character had died in the course of duty, a lucky packet was placed over his prop funeral picture to ensure that everyone was safe and there were no more problems.

The filming for "Police Cadet" is now nearing its end and Fiona Sit indicates that the first thing she has to do after finishing is to rescue her deeply tanned skin and take it back to its previous pale complexion. She says: "My record company has given me an instruction that after filming, they will give me two days rest in the hope that I will do 48 hours of treatments and see if I can rescue it. I will also use speed hair restorer in the hope that my hair will grow back soon."

Also, with a constant stream of gossip following her since the start of filming, will Fiona be breathing a sigh of relief once filming finishes? She says: "No, there will still be gossip if I was doing any other work. Although the filming has been hard work, I have lots of memories." Are they bad memories? She says: "Well there are bound to be good and bad memories."

The storyline tells of how instructing officer Michael Miu's character losing his life in the series and his group of young students sending him on his final farewell. At the same time, Sammul's character finds out that Michael is actually his father and is devastated.

Fiona Sit Hoi Kei earlier held her first fan meeting and attended a barbecue with over a hundred fans, who brought a lot of gifts for her. Her favorite was a stress relief book. "After I got into the business, I always feel stressful. Now I can read a few pages before I go to bed. It's really helpful."

After Fiona enjoyed her favorite marshmallow, suddenly several fans blasted her with water guns. "They blasted me with water from every direction in hopes that money will flow my way." After the event Fiona returned to work and rehearse the choreography for her new song 886.

Because at first I didn't knew who she was, I asked people around me who she was. Then I discoverd I knew her face from Tv! I bought a cd of her immediately, hahaha!

Fiona Sit Hoi Kei recently has been so busy that she does not even have the energy to sing. Earlier she went on vacation with her parents and friend to recharge her battery. She said about getting a massage with her father. "Pa and I shared a room with with a partition. I put the the black trunks the place provided and thought it was strange. Then my Pa had a pair of thong on and I knew we made a mistake. We changed right away."

Earlier her gum was swollen and she thought her wisdom tooth was coming out. Actually it was just false alarm. Before performing, her manager used Qi Gong to treat her. When she jokingly asked whether he could make her face thinner, he asked whether she would like to have her breasts enlarged. She immediately declined her manager's help.

Andy Hui attended event with Fiona Sit, Sunday September 26, 2004 Hong Kong

Andy Hui Chi On yesterday attended a professional health contract signing ceremony with Fiona Sit Hoi Kei and Ella Koon Yun Na. "When I sing my lips are pressed up against the mic. Once after performing in China my lips turned purple. Actually the Mainland singer who just performed had purple lipstick on." He said that he has prepared disinfectant tissue to clean the microphones with.

Later he will accept Eric Tsang Chi Wai's interview. When asked whether he took the interview as chance to dispute his recent negative news, he said, "No, my relationship with the media is connected. When Mommy passed away in 98, Chi Wai wasn't in Hong Kong; but on the day of the funeral he rushed back for it. At that moment I was really moved."

"This is fate. I hope this interview can set off sparks. (What about questions about your love life?) Let's see if he asks. Today On Jai will answer." As for rumors that Anita Mui Yim Fong's proteges being absent from her Four Seas Foundation basin banquet and Mother Mui's basin banquet, he said, "Mother Mui has contacted me, but I have to work in Shanghai. If I am in Hong Kong I will definitely be there."

You mean her short hair? That's only because shes filming the TVB series, but I never liked her anyways, long or short.
Karlos
she only got the hairl ike that because of filming a new series... which is alright i guess cause it shows she is devoted to her work.

(12/27/2004) The year's first report card for the music industry, Metro Hit Radio Award 2004 took night two nights ago. 104 awards were presented and Andy Lau Tak Wa won the Hit Male Singer award for a record sixth time.

Lau Tak Wa, Andy Hui Chi On and Joey Yung Cho Yi each won seven awards as the big winners. Hacken Lee Hark Kun received six and a half award. Leo Ku Kui Ke won five, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa four, Twins won 3 and 1/3 awards, Kelly Chan Wai Lam, Jolin Tsai (Choi Yi Lam) and Gigi Leung Wing Kei each won three. Last night the event presented the Metro Hit Radio Honorary Award to the late James Wong Jim. Uncle Jim's daughter Wong Yu Si accepted on his behalf. "We three siblings are proud of Daddy's musical achievements."

The Metro Hit Radio Male Singer award went from the original three to five prizes, allowing Lau Tak Wa to break the record and the New Four Great Heavenly Kings to each receive one. Edmond Leung Hon Man was a little behind out of the five with only two awards. Fiona Sit Hoi Kei had the best performance out of the new comers with three awards. Wa Jai after winning seven awards said, "Doesn't it seem a little too much? Over the years everyone's love for me, I can feel it. Hopefully it will last to 2006. After 20 years in the business I can still win so many awards. This can't be topped."

The event in order to give everyone an award split many categories. The most exaggerated of which was the five way split of the Metro Hit Radio Original Song award.

The event added several live voting awards, including the My Most Admired new Male Singer (Wilfred Lau Ho Lung), Female Singer (Fiona Sit Hoi Kei), Group (Ping Pung) and My Most Admired Song (LOVE AND HONESTY). None of those awards counted toward the Media Award.

Fiona Sit Hoi Kei was the favorite to win the Metro Hit Radio Rookie King Female Singer award but lost to Yan Ng Yat Yin and Isabelle Leung Lok Si. She looked stiff on the stage. "I am very satisfied with my three awards. Actually I am already very happy with just one. The other two are bonuses."

Fiona Sit Hoi Kei earlier performed well at the award shows, with three awards at the Commercial Radio award alone. Fiona was happy and surprised, but she expressed that she would not let success go to her head. Last year she was entangled in rumors. Although she has appeared to be very tough, but she has cried in the back many times. "In life one should look ahead. I won't remember the unpleasant past. In the new year I will say less and do more because I don't speak well. I will let action speak for me."

Last year's rumors have taught her a valuable lesson. She has examined herself and followed her parents' advice to learn to "keep others' feeling in mind". "I know interpersonal communication is very important. I will work hard on learning it. From now on I will think about other people's feelings and hope everyone can give me some time."

Fiona Sit Hoi Kei was named image planner for a Clinique fashion show. She spent weeks on preparation as she selected models, fashion, make up and music. "This show's theme is the spring day. I prefer more natural light make up. Heavy make up just doesn't feel right." She felt that with all the unpleasantness in the world she made many colorful candy for the models to give to the audience.
