Barbie Hsu top of the list, follow by Lin Zhi Ling. They both are so annoying showing off the cuties especially Zhi Ling and bad character for Barbie Hsu especially she thought she is soo famous and can talk what she want especially her new affair with Zai Zai

Isn't this supposed to be at the critics thread where people can vent their hatred, spite and other bad feelings?

It always amazes me that there are people who hate other people and yet are still willing to invest their time & energy in people they hate. And usually the subjects have never done anything to them & probably don't even know they exist!

Are Barbie, Lin Chi Ling, Johnny Yan, F4 & all the others you guys hate villains who rob/rape/kill/oppress other people? Why bother hating an actor/actress?! It's silly and pathetic....go look for real villains to hate!

The root cause of hatred is usually .... envy & dissatisfaction at other's luck/happiness/beauty/wealth whatever....think about it.

C'mon, be honest. You don't really hate them - you just can't stand the thought that these people may be more popular than your favourite actor/actress & so you try to put them down as much as possible. Otherwise you wouldn't bother thinking about them!

^ i sort of agree with you but people are always going to have opinons about actors, they are putting them self out them and they know that. But maybe hate is the wrong word to use maybe its Dislike.

yes i totally agree but then sometimes theres just those REALLY REALLY annoying characters like their voice can be so annoying and pisses you off etc. always tryna cute i dont know but ten sometimes its just those lil things that can make you dislike a person -.- hahas but everyone has the right to voice their own opinion =)

i don't really have a specific star or a group, but i really dislike how so many idols come out w/ albums b/c they achieved some sort of success through tv series. the music industry is already competitive as it is (w/ all the pirating and illegal downloading) and all of these people are making it worst. ones that immediately come to mind:
-F4: not only did they come out w/ group albums, but each member also had to release their own! None of them can sing, especially, zai zai and jerry.
-Rainie: she was cute in devil beside you, but that's where she should have drawn the line.
-Cyndi: her sing and dancing really doesn't compare.
-183 Club and 7F: all of their success comes from frog prince.
i'm happy that there are still musically talented artists out there like jay chou, wang lee hom, david tao, etc.

mmm i have quite a few.. but none of them really come to mind right now~ haha there are some that when i see them on tv, i'll switch the channel~ but really can't think of any currently!

hmm - i used to be really into TW entertainment...not as much anymore - although i might have a look at Silence

right now, the celebrities i don't particularly like include Jerry Yan, Barbie Hsu and Rainie Yang (actually, i can tolerate her sometimes)...i just try and avoid their movies/dramas.

[SIZE=7]Taiwan actor can't act?...Who say so?...TAKE yah word back...they can act but, it take time PEOPLE...beside I seen Taiwan series of the dolphine bay and it was great...those actor did put their effort to make the series as best as they can and they deserve credit for that!...I am a fan of Taiwan series also...and hope some of yah will support those Taiwan actor as will...peace-out![/SIZE]

F4...they cant act cant sing can do nothing but y so popular...??? They are not as handsome as what ppl think oso.............their drama is like competing who can act cooler....i dont like their drama...!!!

If F4 can't sing, how come David Tao praised Jerry Yan's solo album? And how come Yan is the only artist to beat Jay Chou to the top of Taiwan's music charts for 2 weeks last year (Both albums released in August) How come F4's albums / CDs are in the Japanese Oricon charts ?

If F4 can't act how come Magic Kitchen was no. 4 in last years HK movie hits top ten list? How come Mars was voted most popular taiwanese drama last year? How come Dong Bang Shing Ki want F4 in their new K-drama? How come they keep getting acting offers with high pay?

How come every new group is introduced as the next F4 / How come every other group is compared endlessly to F4 / How come people can't stop discussing Meteor Garden years after it's debut / How come we can't even remember the other popular dramas released at the same time as Meteor Garden now??

4 years have passed since Meteor Garden and yet they are still popular. Why? Simple answer: a LOT of people like them! they have remained humble down-to-earth hardworking guys with good manners who try to improve all the time. Nothing wrong with that.

Answer is simple.. its the same reasons why Twins are so popular. its all about looks. with looks u get more fans who will support u through thivk and thin so they will support by buying your CDs, watching your films and so on.

thats why jerry yan beat jay chou in music charts.. more supporters.. its the same with HK, Twins top the charts quite often but everyone knows they cant sing..

I totally agree with u guy! It's just look dat seems to make the difference! David Tao have no ears, people have no eyes! F4 can't be as talented as Jay Chou is!

When Jerry's album beat Jay's to the top of the charts, reporters asked for Jay's comment while he was at a press conference in Japan. Jay laughed and said that he has no problem with Jerry being no 1 in the charts that week because he has heard Jerry's album and likes it. He also said he knows that Jerry has worked very hard and the improvement shows.

Also at Jerry's album launch ceremony, Jay sent a video clip congratulating Jerry for the debut & teased him that he has to stand with his legs 1 meter apart everytime he sings the first single called "1 meter"!

Jerry never expected to be no. 1. At his album launch, when reporters asked how many albums does he expect to sell, he laughed & humbly replied: " Probably 2. I'll buy one and my mom will buy the other!" Later when he heard the results, he said that Jay is good guy as he is only "lending" his no. 1 position to Jerry temporarily!

I like Jay a lot. He respects other people's hard work and sincere efforts.

If Jerry had wanted to trade on his good looks to make people buy his album, he could have taken the easy way by releasing an album in 2001/2002 at the height of F4 mania. He did'nt. He worked on the album for 3 years to improve his vocals / learn the piano / produce 4 of the songs / write lyrics.

I'm not comparing Jerry to Jay Chou becoz i know Jay is special. Very very few people have his talent. He was born talented but he has also worked very hard. I'm just pointing out that he doesn't look down on anyone who has worked hard and tried their best.

Yeahh although I still don't think Jerry sings very well, but I admire him for his effort and hard-working spirit.. he's not just a regular 'idol' in that he relies on only his fame to sell CD's and so on.. instead he does work hard on trying to make good music.. so he is not my most hated taiwanese star (not my favourite either though of course)..

agreed !! Jay and jerry can't be compared, it's insulting to jay actually. You don't judge their talent by their popularity, you judge them by seeing them perf. Jerry and F4 are popular, yes, by can they be compared to jay, leehom, david tao (tao ze) in terms of talent? This is a no brainer, I'll leave it up to ppl to answer this for me.

i don't actually hate celebrities....well the TW stars dat i dislike the most would be Barbie Hsu....i don't know why....just that i don't like her!!

Michelle saram is top on my list at first glance she's pretty but getting and getting uglier her nose is like a parrot

the first one i can think of is barbie...don't like her...and never will...i don't like her for the many reasons mention above...

i hate Sam in 5566, all the 183 Club members (most of them are acting so gay as i especially hate Ming Dao...i know so many ppl like him after watching Prince into Frog but i really can't endure him)

for some reason, i don't really like Jerry. He was really popular after MG but isn't that great of a singer. in fact, all of f4 weren't that great at singing when they first started. They were popular for their looks and attitude or whatever.

Can't stand F4- I think the reasons are obvious.
Dislike Cyndi Wang, especially because of her arrogance and nonchalence towards the press.

Don't like Ken...his character sometimes annoys me, but i can't say i Hate him or anything.

I can't think of any Taiwanese actor/actress that I hate but I guess I am not fond of watching Barbie Hsu, Rainie Yang and Vivian Hsu as the female lead.

After reviewing this thread, I am very very amused. The truth of it all and bottom line is that most likey NO ONE, as fans here, know these celebrities personally and individually, yet they based their hatred/dislikes off of the media's portrayal of these celebrities and how they are publicly represented...Quite funny actually. HOnestly, I find it rather interesting to hate ppl you don't even know. Aheheheh...

OH yea, I agree with charlene_choi2 that the celebs frequently mentioned above are the pretty famous ones...I guess some peepz just can't deal with others' popularity...

I disagree. Plus I think it's normal to gain more popularity through drama serials. This is the entertainment circle afterall. But then again, I'm a huge fan so don't listen to me.

Yea, anyways, one actress I REALLY cannot stand is YanYan from Sweety. She really bugs me. Just plain annoying from what I see from Variety Progs.

I'm not going to use the word hate......but rather use dislike. It's hard to hate these taiwanese celebrities when I don't even know them. So I dislike 5566, 183 Club, 7 Flowers, Typoon....okay, why dont' I just say J-stars groups. I don't think they are good singers or actors/actress. I know there are far worst ones than them, but they are notoriously famous for nothing. just like Paris Hilton....and oh god..she's going to come out with a cd.

I don't like J-stars because I think they are too deep into the fame they get. and there's news about them being all snobby and stuff after they are famous. Although I'm not sure if it's true or not but there must be some source to these news. and all they care is about making money, at least that's what the ceo of J-stars Suen Zhong says. They're probably laughing at all those people who bought their cds, posters, vcds, stationaries, etc... Don't like the fact that they take things for granted. Just because WZBQW did well (no idea why it's so famous, I thought it was just okay) they assume the magician one will do well. Don't know what people are thinking.

Oh god....it feels good to let this out. I have been so sick of them for a long time. although.....i don't hate each and every single one of them...but just don't understand why they can be so famous for nothing.

Although there are definitely good and bad singers/actors/celebrities, I find it interesting that we, who don't know them personally, can hate them. Many of you didn't give reasons for your hatred; I was just wondering why. I guess in my weird twisted mind, even if the celebrities don't deserve to be that famous, I applaud them for achieving the enormous popularity that they do have. Too bad I wasn't born in Taiwan to live out that pop-star dream.

I don't hate F4, but it seems to be so many people hate them. They used to hot after MG serie airing in Taiwan, but now, where are they?
Among them, Vic and Jerry is ok, but i can't stand ken and vanness. They should learn more acting and singing. There are lots of new face in taiwan entertainment circle. Maybe F4 can't get any change anymore

I am a massive MASSIVE Jstar fan... BUT I have to admit that the problems that you bring up have occurred to me once or twice. Most of the Jstars seem to be so friendly and so funny and so generous/loving/blah to the public... but very very little of their private life is revealed. I mean, with their recent Jstar olympics-- people have continuously said how they get along so well, and are all willing to laugh at each other and whatever-- but have we ever stopped to think that they KNOW they're being filmed, of course they're going to put on a good show for the camera.

I don't think they're laughing at the pathetic fans who bought their merchandise... but I do wonder if they truly are the facade that they put up, or are they all really snobby and conceited. I mean, with the prestige of Jungiery behind them-- it's really hard to keep your head defalted. And as for their monthly pingbi competitions? I think there's a reason that they have them-- because all the stars know that they're at the mercy of Sun Zhong, so they have to listen to him, and PLUS highlight the word "competition" here, please. They have to be competing for a reason...of course it's to show off to the rest of the company that "yeah, i can do this, and yeah, I'm better than you in this aspect."

I won't deny that there probably is some genuine comraderie, but I like to take all celebrities' appearances with a grain of salt, whether or not I like or dislike them. Because, we can't genuinely all say that we love/hate a celeb because we don't know them in person. A lot of it is all put on as show for the camera(s). As much as people diss Cyndi for being rude and nonchalant to the press... well, let's face it. If you had paparazzi screaming in your face 24/7-- you'd probably go off too. At least she's being real. If a normal person was to start yelling at a complete stranger for taking random pictures and them writing semi-libelous stories of them all over the tabloids and the web, people around that normal person would be like "yeah, she's pretty justified. I'd be pretty pissed too." but for some reason, when celebs do that, people look down upon them, even though they're reacting like normal people should.

that is the bane of living a public life, I guess.

Hmm, I really like some JStars. But I have to say... sometimes, like with Ming Dao, I'd rather just see him in a drama than outside of it. I've read too many of his comments-- even on his fan sites-- where I just think of him as arrogant. Also, when 183Club first came out two years ago or so... I remember than on Zong Yi Da Ge Da... they thought they were so handsome and tall; they were very arrogant. I think they improved a little in terms of attitude-- or at least they're better at hiding it-- but I can definitely see why people think they are annoying.

Also, I noticed that most people who hate F4 mostly do so because they think they're overrated. Well, I like F4, but I definitely agree. I find that with movies and actresses or actors... their being overrated sometimes pisses me off more than their actually being awful people. :x

But my most hated Taiwanese star... is probably Lin ChiLing. She's too fake for my taste, and she's in the newspaper every single day. Ahh... I remember when she ran outside in a wedding dress, and the people of Taiwan went wild. :x WHY!? So weird. :x [Here, too, though... while I HATE her voice and think she's really, really fake... Most of them. J Stars or whatever they called. It seems very annoying when I saw so many of overrated and simply annoying idols. I understand how people can get obsess with them, but the idols seem so talent less in my point of view. What is interesting is that I do not remember Dong Bang Shin Ki had asked F4 to appear in their K Drama. If I remember, Dong Bang Shin Ki does not have K-drama, except 1 or 3 dramas they made of themselves. I assure you, Dong Bang Shin Ki did not ask F4 just to appear in their non-existence drama. In truth, F4's popularity in Japan or anywhere decreased over time. In Japan, KT is famous and popular, and they actually have talent. In Korea, DBSG is popular and talent is obviously showed. In Taiwan, I am not sure, but 183 Club and 7F certain took F4's position. I do not like 183 Club and 7F, but it is true that they are really popular simply because of Prince turned into Frog.
