Insung will be insured for his new role in Mean Streets which he will be gangster (Byun Doo) in the movie. This role will requires him to do alot of high difficulty stunts.

This will be Insung 1st attempt to do high diffculty stunts without the assistance of a stuntman. And if accidents happen, he will be paid 300m Won on insurance coverage.(est US$289,000)

Insung is always being view as " Pretty Boy", but in this movie, he will be doing the dangerous stunts himself. Thr will be several action-packed scene, with the typical use of big public bus and train.

The director, Yoo Ha's previous movie (The Cruel History of Maljuk Street) used minimal safety wire and stuntman to acheive the most realistic visual effect so as to shocked his audience. In a way, it adds on to Insung's burden.

Prior to the filming of the movie, Jo Insung has already cut off his hair and goes thru' intensive phyiscal training to change his image.

Even thou' Insung has been thru' 2 months of training in the action school, and even got himself injured on the shoulder, he still plunge into the filming of Mean Street with greatest passion.

From the director of the movies "Marriage is a Crazy Thing" and "Maljookguhri Janhosa (?? too hard to translate, sorry!)" comes "Mean Streets", a story about the friendship and betrayal of two friends who have been friends since elementary school.

Jo Insung was casted as lead role of the tough, fist-fighting 'Byongdoo' early on, but Nam Gungmin as 'Minho', a director and Byungdoo's long-time friend who betrays him, was the last role set in place.

The source of conflict between these two men/friends is the leading lady, 'Hyunjoo', who will be played by Lee Boyoung who starred in the KBS 1TV drama "Beautiful You" and SBS' "West Fairytale". The other supporting roles will be played by Jingu and Chun Hojin.

On the 24th of September SidusFHN announced that after September, shooting will continue and that they plan to shoot the movie in Seoul, Inchun, and Busan.

JIS plays the role Byung Doo (병두) who is a hoodlum having to make a living to support his mother and two younger brothers. He grasps the lifetime opportunity when Chairman Hwang asks him to get rid of the prosecutor who has been harassing Chairman Hwang. However, he accidentally makes a mistake that brings him huge crises. The director Yoo Ha (유하) would like to truly present the mean reality of human being’s desires as well as the relationship between society and gang organizations. Yoo Ha’s previous work was “Spirit of Jeet Keun Do (말죽거리 잔혹사)” of 2004. “Mean Streets” is scheduled to be debuted in the spring of 2006.

I just LOVE him in Memories of Bali..though the ending is sooo twisted. Anyone saw Spring Day? How's it? Any good?

ya, i watched SPRING DAY,its a nice series. happy ending indeed not like the other series whick korean series are much known for,if not twisted,sad, or unpredi table ending.maybe SPRING DAY is one of those light series which you dont have question marks hanging in your head after watching it.though it made you cry while watching it also...

Glad that Spring Day has a happy ending, it was sad in the mid-episodes when JIS was rejected by the girl he loves but luckily, she realised that the elder brother cld be mixed-up in his love for her & his love for his dead mother as she resembles his dead mother. Glad she chose JIS (the younger brother) in the end, anyway, cld see that the younger brother truly loves her & suffers much more for her than the older brother.

Spring Day was okay, not that great, kinda slow. I do not like Jo In Sung hairstyle in Spring Day at all. Also, I think he should try different type of role or else he will stuck with the kind of weak, childish, and silly role forever. However, I really like the way he act in WHIB. I really like the new look of his the movie Mean Street.

i saw what happened in bali and dudee. it wasnt really all that great. there seemed to be no point to the serie. i kept watching it to see a happy ending but then the stupidest non-happiest ending ever gets thrown at me. jeez. i was mad. but jo in sung was hottt haah. i thought that there was a scene with him and ha ji won dancing on pearls?

I watched spring days 3 times within 2 weeks because i am in love with him (which my hubby thinks incredible....). I felt bitter sweet throughout the whole series although i feel sorry for him as i think he deserves prettier girl then the leading actress he loves in the cast. But still, he is brilliant and i have to say, i think he is real cool and veryveryvery...... attractive man!!!!

Im sad because spring day is airing in the morning in the philippines...Im not used to see JIS in the morning (uhm actually he's the first one i see when i wake up in the morning because he's beside me you know hehehe). Spring Day should be put in the primetime because its a good story...and besides i wanna see insung at night before i go sleep so that i can dream of him hehehehe.....*LoL* ;-)

I was so touched and captivated by jae min esp his breaking down scenes. He is so charming!! Got to give him an oscar for it..hehe. Its the first time that an actor make me feel like this..Im his die hard fan now. Love ya In Sung oppa!! I will catch all his movies/dramas. Hope to have more impressive works from him!!
