i am not to certain, but i wont say typhoon is frozen. You have to do something that displeases the company or break the rules to become frozen. Typhoon is probably on hiatus or disbanded since Darren left and their debut album didn't sell well so SZ probably didnt want to continue with it. I have no clue whats up w/ Toro or Xiao Chun but my guess is that they are still in Jstar but probably they are doing so extra practice to improve themselves. What troubles me is that they didn't show up in this year's love miracle. Normally all singers/groups appears but i guess since they don't have a complete group they dont get to join?

I like J-Stars. They seem like a fun lot and I do think that they are quite talented. Just ordered a copy of Love Miracle 3 from Yesasia. Can't wait for it to arrive > < Has anyone listen to the new songs anyway? The main theme is upbeat and quite catchy and the mv is hilarious.

If you really wanted to buy, I suggest that you check out yesasia.com. they carry a number of stuff on asian entertainer.

I really encourage all to go for original as most of them spent so much time preparing for this album.

In order to encourage original, for those who would like to post the link, think twice before doing so. Think "What you do, will it harm the people that I support?

Also this maybe the yardstick that SZ may use to measure whether 5566 will release their 4th album this year.

From what I know, Jungiery is like a company (like TVB). Jungiery is just established not so long ago, so that's why they only have 7 bands of singers who acts in dramas too. There are 6 boys and 1 girls band. There are in total about 26 people if I am not mistaken. And from what I noticed all these singers and actors are like a big family and they support each other. 5566 is part of Jungiery and the first band created. And they are the leading band.
And I am beginning to like all of them. They are improving in both singing and acting.
Go Jungiery. I am with you 100%...

hey i saw these two ktv dvds on yesasia, and i wasn't sure if they were real or not. i know that yesasia now sells fake stuff, so i wanted to comfirm the authencity of these two karaoke dvds. does anyone know if they are real or not?

No idea, really, but I'd go with NO... simply because all the videos are karaoke (in my opinion, it is very RARE that an artist releases karaoke DVD's; usually, they release MV DVD's if it's authentic)... also, rather suspiciously, all the KTV's on this can be found on-line at this one Taiwanese forum that I visit. And there are so many on one disc!... for a cheap price. My dad's bought some obviously fake karaoke DVD's from Mainland China (not of J-Stars, but of Jay Chou or the Four Heavenly Kings) for cheaper than this, but I've seen those same DVD's for sale in the U.S. at $25. My guess is this is the same.

Still, it's up to you whether or not you want to buy it. For me, since I already have most of those MV's from buying CD + DVD sets, I'd think it was all right... since the other videos on there are NOT for sale anywhere else, and you'd have to download otherwise. And I do give you props for wanting to buy authentic DVD's

^^ I mean, definitely, it's a GREAT idea for Jungiery to release these old MV's and KTV's, especially since they are so hard to find. It'll definitely sell well.

Yup... remember when XPGLY was leaked out?... before it was even broadcast? The way I found out is that they were being sold on YesAsia. In a panic, I came to AF to figure out if I had totally missed the release or something. Their fakes are also always ridiculously over-priced (of course, anyone who sells them on eBay does the same thing)... my dad bought XPGLY in China (AGAINST my wishes) for $1.50 US. On YesAsia, it was going for maybe $25-$30.

I just bought both karaoke DVDs from YesAsia literally 3 minutes ago! And then I read that they might be fake!? Oh well, even if they are (they didn't look too fake, though fakes are looker better and better these days...) I just want to see some of the rarer clips that weren't released along with the albums. I guess I'll know if they're fake when they arrive (it could take a few weeks, 'cause I'm in Australia).

Not trying to bring up a disput about kone leaving jstar, but jstar seems so small now. There's only 21 singers (counting the lovemiracle3 album) left. From last yr there was 29. And on the ying wei ai mv, ren fu once said there was 37 but I counted 35.

maybe smaller, it is more manageable??? but, it is alright still...

Yeah i do agree with that. Hopefully everyone can get a piece of everything this year. The groups are pretty much settled, no one is gonna leave as of now I don't think. (Well, tai ji and lala has already cut down their group to the smallest possible.) But it's not as "reh nau" (crowded, happy) as before. Like they all seemed so happy in the jstar olympics last yr.

People! Yesasia is not selling fake stuff.

The karaoke DVDS that are selling in Yesasia are real and yes they are avaliable in Taiwan's music store and yes...J-Star does promote this karaoke CDs so its real. They released this a week after they released "Love Miracle 3". There are 2 versions. One is the songs J-Stars sang in the OST while the other one is from their albums.

*sighs* YesAsia DOES sell fakes. We talk about it all the time at d-addicts and Soompi. They take the fake releases off their site when the real releases come out. Otherwise, I would show you the XPGLY DVD they sold, which had a picture of Evonne on the cover!

But you're right... the karaoke discs are REAL. As you said, they promoted it on WQYL, and plenty of people are already selling autographed copies in on-line communities... don't really think J-Stars would be too pleased about signing bootleg copies. Sun Zhong would probably write another message on the J-Star or SanLih website.

No, they also have those... in addition to the fakes. The official China version (which, as you said, is lower quality, but also much cheaper) of XPGLY is also being sold there (and it doesn't have a picture of Evonne on the cover).

The XPGLY they sold initially was DEFINITELY fake because they were selling even before the drama AIRED in Taiwan, Also, my dad bought the fake version for $1 US in China (before the drama aired), and the packaging and cover picture matched the original one on YesAsia (the pink one featuring Evonne)...
^^ They're definitely not the only ones who did/do this, though. And I will say, in their defense (because I really do like YesAsia... so convenient... people think it's overpriced, but I actually think it's pretty reasonable; the prices are not that far off from what the original Taiwan versions would cost), that, once the official releases (Taiwan and China) came out, they removed the fakes from their website. They're just filling the market demand, after all.

I was looking at the profiles of VJ on the J-star website (attached to the blogs), and it says that Victor is Canadian and James is American! I think they must have mixed them up, because isn't James a CBC like Jacky, and Victor says he grew up in the US...kinda weird.

Hahaha! I don't know much about Victor, but James, for sure is Canadian. After all, James and Jacky are brothers However, didn't even Jacky go to elementary school in Taiwan?...

Isn't Victor's primary Asian language Cantonese though? They always make reference to that when they're on WQYL.

and also there's a new star added to the jstar family. She's a little chubby kinda like xiao jie. She was on SZDZ 4/1. Not sure if she's signed as an actress or singer, but I think the next star to be promoted is ke wei.

Ke Wei's been with Jungiery for a long time, I think. She certainly gets a lot of supporting roles in SETTV dramas. I saw an old Jstar schedule one time and she was filming for LGSL one day, and AQMFS the next!

Ke Wei is also staring in a Taiwanese speaking show in SETTV. Just saw her in WQYL, she seems to be always guesting in WQYL.

I hope things with the J-Stars work-out.. I heard things aren't going so smoothly. Grrrr I don't like Sun Zhong. :[
