My favourite modern series is Detective Investigation Files 1-2-3, I really didn't like the 4th. The series' cases were really interesting and sometimes scary enough, but the best thing in it was the chemistry between the actors/actresses, Michael Tao, Kenix Kwok, Joey Leung etc... The fourth one was OK but it was not amazing, I didn't like Sunny and Charmaine in that series... And the cases were boring.

My favourite ancient series is Twin of Brothers or Demi-Gods Semi-Devils (The one with Benny Chan)

Twin of Brothers was really great, the actors and actresses were amazing, that was the series that made me a Raymond and Tavia fan. The story was really interesting til the end. And the thing that I liked the most in the series was the ending, sad but greatly done.

I also liked DGSD, it was simply good, the storyline was really good and Carmen was pretty

too meeh i think the best modern one that i like lately is "INTO THIN AIR" it is jsut one of those movie that after i watch one epsiode i can't stop... for acient movies i would saw "TEN BROTHER" it is just a weird movie since the ten kids had all those power, but it is also one those who makes you want to watch the next episode rite after the first one...

wow thats a tough question but for modern i like net deception and the last breakthrough alot hehe for ancient umm....i cant rmr any recent i watched but some old ones...i cant even rmr it lol shows how much ancients i watch

"secret of the heart"--this is where luo ka lueng made his come back...i think this is one of my favorite movies of all time...i loved everything about it and also amy kwok...i love her acting...her love with LuoKaLueng's was sooo amazing...
a second best would be "lofty waters verdant bow"...i loved michelle yip in this...she is one of my alll time favorite characters...she play the female lead sooooo well

My all time favourite ancient drama is definitely Legend of the Condor Heroes'83...great cast especially Babara Yung and Felix Wong...no real favourite modern drama though but I must say that I enjoyed the Detective Investigation Files.

The best contemporary drama is Looking Back at Anger. It is the best series I have ever seen. As for a period drama, I would have to either say The Condor Heroes <Felix Wong or Return of the Condor Heroes <Andy Lau.

I like alot of tvb series...but these are the ones that popped up first....

my favourite modern series would have to be the DIF series... I loved the chemistry between the main actors, whether it be Kenix-Michael-Joey or Louis-Jessica-Sunny and the cases were so interesting too! even now when I rewatch them, I never get bored xD

for ancient.. that's a bit harder.. but I'll have to say Journey to the West. Dicky was great as Suen Ng Hung. I don't really like many ancient series but this one caught my attention.

My all time fave ancient series were Demi-Gods Semi-Devils and The Greatest in the world. (the one with Wallace Huo in it) They both had very complex story lines and interesting characters.

Since I have moved to US, I have hard time keeping up with modern ones but my all time Ancient series are:
- The Condor Heroes/Return of the Condor Heroes
- Demi Gods and Semi Devils

I have just recently gotten the 1995 version of RoCH and I am so facinated by Carman Lee's beauty. She looks very elegant.

frankly i dont like ancient series that much cause of the dialogues and everything. so i need to rely on subtitles but usually i'm not really interested in ancient series UNLESS there's a super super good cast and different story (not the boring kungfu stuff *yawn*)..

4 pretty lady ( sheren tang, charmaine cheh, gigi lai, maggie cheung ) attracts me ! and the story is evil and sad...

modern series is not bad but i would choose A Trust Of A Lifetime

A Step into the Past, I feel as though I mentionned this like 10 times.
Just goes to show how similar some of the topics are.

ASITP - Great historical series. With Louis koo taking on the charismatic role of Hong Siu Long, he amazes me to great extent. The storyline is deep enough to enjoy it. The ending is not rushed, as all that had to happen, happened.

I dont really have a favorite Modern Series in mind...
A threshold of an Era I, II comes to mind.

Pretty good series, definitely worth a watch. Gallen Lo, still in TVB back then, goes through many corporate battles. It's pretty interesting.

hm.. my MOST favoraite modern series would be Golden Faith, My Family, Under The Canopy Of Love, Aiming High. I can never get sick of watching these. Esp Golden Faith.. Sunshine Heartbeat - My Favourite EVER series! I love this so much! I loved all the characters and the plot was great I also fell for Vin Choi...
