This year alone, I've started about six dramas that I couldn't get past two episodes.

Being a fan of wuxia and period dramas, I wish they'd make more of those! And I don't mean cheesy dramas like Gentle Crackdown! More kick-ass dramas like A Step Into The Past and those of the 80s and early 90s!

I haven't got sick of TVB series but I do have to say that some series are pretty pathetic and boring but some are really really good. So, I just watch those that I like and leave the ones that I dislike out. Usually I see the storyline and cast to decide. =)

Yes, at times i will bet bored with TVB series coz the storyline was not interesting. However lately TVB has really improve a lot.

I'm quite picky and would only watch if the storyline is good, or people I love are in it. I dont like ancient series veru much, I prefer the old ones like Condor Heroes and Wai Sie Bow.

But I grew up with TVB, so I'd always be watching something. eont abadon it totally. I did stop watching for a few years though.

I never bored with TVB series cause i only watch... Damian Lau series! hahahaha!

i havent watch a tvb series ever since heart of greed 2. I think im gonna start watching the four and last one standing now.

actually i am sick of the recent ones with the new actors..i enjoy watching the 1990s ones. But tvb is actually better than korea and jap for me. but i hope tvb come up with something more interesting like vampires/ ghosts series

generally, yes. but I always watch Liza's dramas. right now am on a break, but don't think i'll be watching other TVB dramas anytime soon. american dramas rock better!

I use to watch a lot of TVB series but these days I am a bit picky and just watch the ones I feel are worth watching, usually after my friends watch it they'll give me a review of it to see if it's worth watching

i;ve been sick of tvb series a lot!..the story gets too repetitive its like u always know whats gonna happen and its probbly because they have to make a whole series so fast and play it on air so fast rather than in usa where its 1 episode per week.

me too...i'm so sick of it...it seems a little bit better now from where i live (uk), it has been repetitive and i can almost guess whats gonna happen next everytime...

i love korean series though it also has some repetitveness...i also watch taiwan series...seems better than hk series... anyway thats just my opinion..

lol yeah i have trouble watching tvb for over 10 years now.
since all the good actors and actresses are declining to sign the new contracts due to low pay, which i don't blame them...and they are having more and more new people who are such poor actors/actresses that i had to turn my head the other way.

i hate poor acting skills. i know that i should give them a chance, but come now....this bad?
SOME series even opt for "cute" and "whiny" little girls because they are what attracts "some" peoples attention, which in my opinion kills my ear drums.

and SOME series opt for the "cute" and "clueless hot guy" to attract others.
I have all but given up hope on TVB and rather watch Japanese, Korean dramas over them...

i don't think i would actually totally be "sick" of TVB series...each series is different, if the series is ok or even GOOD, there's no reason why i wouldn't follow TVB series...it gives me a good way to pass my time at home

Never bored of it unless theres no good series out or when you dont have your favourite actors in it then i'll give it a lil break...

i got sick of heart of greed, thats because to me the beginning was boring. i started watchin gem of life, but i was tired of the same type of drama goin on, and i thought it was too long so i stopped watchin it completely

I stoped watching tvb for almost 2 months, than i recently started again. I watched the 4 constables and last one standing back to back.

How can you get sick of TVB? It's like the best you can have, I love it!

i dont watch as much tvb series as i used too.... i used to be very addicted and watch every ep as it come out in hk and every series .. but now i just try my best to watch most. but alot i never end up finish or even have time to start.... but some of the very good onese i sure will watch ....
tvb series are kind of getting boreding..they keep useing the same stuff.. even with series i never watch at point i still know what will happened next in the story....... but w/e i still watch it.. just for the fun of it..hahaha

I only just started watching TVB series again. I stopped about eight years ago because I really disliked the plotlines and the quality of a lot of the TVB series that was coming out at the time. When I was a kid though, I really loved TVB series because it was exciting but after a while, the new actors/etc. just bored me.

same here I started watching Taiwanese and Korean series because I got bored of TVB . some of the series storylines are boring and weird . An example would be "When a Dog Loves a Cat", to me that one was boring and sort of weird . I only watched it because Gallen Lo was in it . I think the writers need some better inspiration now , its like they can't think of anything good anymore .

but i still watch some of them that starred my favourite stars

I've never been sick of TVB series, but I have taken breaks from it these past couple years as I started to branch away from the Hong Kong entertainment. I even stopped watching Fairchild TV. Like some people here, I have been more picky these recent years and only watched selected series that I thought was worth watching like grand productions and ones starring my favorite artistes, and ones stirring a big hype.

yeah i think it was a few months, p.s i was sick of the recent ones so i re watched the older ones.
i did try Taiwan, Korean, Japanese, Thai and Mainland, They were all good but at the end i decided TVB was the one for me ROFLS! I couldn't bare to betray it, well Tvb is my mistress to be hoenst cause i'm so Loyal towards hollywoods ROFLS!

Yup, in fact, I am quite sick of TVB right now and have not been watching anything. Gosh, I used to watch more than one/two series a year but now...I only watch about that much and sometimes, I tend to stop halfway into the series, never finished it.

There's always a time when I feel like taking a break from something, whether it's TVB or mainland productions.
But then, as it happens every year, a series comes along and sweeps me off my feet. Last year it happened to be "Catch Me Now." I hope TVB has at least one unforgettable series every year.

yeap. agree. sometimes tvb goes on for a long while w/o any good series and it gets kinda boring. eg the seventh day series w kevin cheng and bosco. great cast, but the plot really sucked and the series didn't say anything.

i've stopped watching tvb dramas for a year now ==" just cuz it doesnt seem interesting anymore. the last one i probably watched was the seventh day...i agree it wasnt that great..but thats cuz the first one UTCOL was too good ^^ oh and when HOG2 came out..it was so disappointing that i couldnt even watch it =(

From time to time, I find the story lines to be very common, as if what's going to happen next or the ending becomes predictable. Those type of series makes me tired of TVB.
I find that good story lines are hard to come by now =( (good ex: E.U)

TVB series is starting to get a lil' bit boring.
detective kind of story line, clues such as The Greatness of a Hero, the latest one...
People just won't get the clues as well, we don't get to think. Endings are getting worse, due to their creativity maybe. Boring!
Style is always the same. If the series is 20, then about 18/19 will be a major disaster for the main characters. blah blah, always the same. (most of them)

Just hope they will think of something interesting.

Oh Yes! TVB Series is getting boring but some time there will be a really good series coming out. This year i've enjoyed watching E.U, King of the Snooker, and Rosy Business but the rest of the series sucks.

I haven't been watching that many series until I found out theres good series coming out this Summer that are not to be missed!!

i've never been turned off by tvb series cause the series can teach you alot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes of the pros...

The recent TVB Series are not as good as the old ones. The plots of the series are kinda draggy. Good example: Just Love 2. Yes, the series has moral but it keep on reusing the plots, I guess it's cause they run out of storyline. I thought the series in 2008 was a little bit better than the 2009 series. They also keep on using the same casts this year.

I was just thinking about this the other day as I was trying to find something from TVB to watch. I really like the concepts TVB puts in their shows, the family relationships and bonding is great. But, they just reuse the same plot line over and over, but in with different professions, like ones about gambling, silk-business, rice-business, fireworks, etc. Its always about a normal family, then someone new comes in or someone old returns to the family and shake the family up.

I'm talking about Rosy Business. I did enjoy watching it for the dramatic parts, but I get tired from it quickly cause it's just like any other TVB old shows.

I miss Legend of the Condor Heroes '82. Best ever! lol.

Yeah i did take a break from it and I'm glad I did. I got to see more than just HK. I watched korean japanese taiwanese and some american series. I haven't watched a full tvb drama for awhile now. I think i might go back.. depending on what new series the interest me

i once feel those tvb series was really dramatic.
the story is always the same. they had to suffer hard to get happiness at the end
by the way, the endings do really sucks some times
u followed a serie for 60 episodes and then they are stucking u up with an open ending.....

but lately i watch it again because the old actors and actress are showing up again

The recent series are just good to watch when you're bored. As I rewatch or watch some of the old series, i realized that the storyline of the old series are way better than the new series. The series from the 90s are the best.

I think I don't ever be bored from watching those TVB dramas in my entire lives. I just loved to watch it everytime when I was free!!!

Yes, indeed I have. And that's why I recently have less intrested in any TVB series.

I don't mean their contents are all bad or boring, but I find them not fascinating or attractive as before. Maybe because their series are not new or special anymore. With the same artists, the same directors, the same screenwriter, TVB hardly bring their viewers with new thrilling feelings of their newly-shown series. What a shame!
