i was so addicted to this drama that i watched nonstop. haha. Very romantic. Makes you feel all teary and want to fall in love.

Just 3 more eps and im done with this series. it reminds me so much of stairway to heaven. I have to say though, at first it was kinda hard for me too watch. Hana was being abused and she cried so many times that i felt so sorry and bad for her that i wanted to stop watching the series. but i wanted to know what will blossom between hana and yoon suh. this drama is so sad sometimes. and i feel like theres an incest in this storyline that makes me a lil uncomfortable at times watching this.
Some cute scenes i liked was when yoon suh's crew members were setting up the place for the birthday date. it was so funny when they tried to blow the balloons, and it seemed like some of their eyes were gonna pop up. then they were holding some signs, im not sure what it meant or said but i thought that was pretty funny as well. then after that hana and yoon suh goes to eat ramen and they both started crying and said the ramen was spicy. and one of the crew memers says 'did i put too much kimchi'. lol. and the other 2 shook their head. i realize a second later that they both lied and was crying in reality. awww.
gosh, i think hana has such good acting schools. it kinda bothers me that i know her real age, and shes so young playing a 18-20 yr old part. but she plays it so well, and she still has that baby face and youngness to her.
this series is quite good. i'll finish it soon!

U know i really do not like this drama. Too much going on. And very melodramatic. But i like the leads. That's twice now that they have both acted in very sad dramas and end up not being with each other. For god's sake, please let them be a lighthearted cute romance comedy and that they will finally end up together in the drama. Though in real life, it would be good too. :-) They look cute together.

a lot of people don't like this drama because of how sad it is. i don't usually watch melodramas, and this one left me super depressed. i bought this series, but it's not one that you can easily watch again... i still love it though.

Its a good series to invest your time into. I enjoyed the majority of the film although its does have some flaws. The two leads carry the film nicely and the antagonists are really convincing. But like i said i a good series not a great series.

Well, I am watching this which is broadcasting now on TV, so it was dubbed in Mandarin...one question, is the whole show in Korean or JApanese? I recognise Asami Reina and I don't think she can speak Korean... can PArk Shin Hye speak Japanese?

I thought this was a good melodrama. I thought both LW & PSH acted very well in this series...especially LW...I feel in love with him after watching it. Although there are alot of loose ends, you have to understand this drama first shown in Japan. And from what I understand and heard, many Japanese ppl don't like that fact that there's Korean actors/actresses in the drama and they actually speaks in Korean. Japanese ppl don't like to read subtitles especially when its supposively a jdrama (although it's a collaboration of both Japan and Korea).

And if anyone who watched jdrama, they know that jdrama are really short...usually around 9-12 episodes. Tree of Heaven has a good storyline...but unfortunately it cannot fit into a 10 episodes series. I think it was supposed to be longer than 10 episodes, but it didn't do well in Japan so some of the scenes have been cut...thus leaving alot of unanswered questions. For example, a lot of ppl wondering why Maya just suddenly like Yoon Suh. There are a cut scene that showed how Yoon Suh save Maya...and other things happen between them.

This drama is similar to Stairway to Heaven, but I personally enjoyed this more. It is short and sweet although hearwrenching sometimes, especially the last scene when PSH listen/watch LW message to her on her birthday. It's sooo sad.

i m currently watching this series...and i hate the fact that i m so addicted to it..simply becos i know that its gonna have a super sad ending like stairways to heaven..but i can't stop myself from watching it...the sceneries in this series is amazing...LW and PSH make such a beautiful couple...they really have great chemistry...but i do feel bad for Ryu...he is always waiting for PSH to fall for him..and he treated her so nice...and not too mention that Ryu is soooooo good looking...i feel sad for him....

omg, love this series. the best part was the whole scene when they split the necklace. and his like have a girl, then she'll look like you in 20 years time. haha omg cried at that part

There are soo many sad scenes! in jus 10 episodes, the story seemed to be more interesting than some with 20 eps. Awesome series! I thought that Hana was a Japanese actress before seeing this thread. O_o

this was a very good movie. the chemistry that the two of them shared was amazing i loved it. i thought they were cute and very enjoyable; even though the movie is an all time tear jerker, it was still enjoyable. loved it. i couldn't stop watching, and on the matter couldn't stop crying either! ^^

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE K-DRAMA!!!!!!

up till now, most k-dramas i watched were so cliche and way too dramatic with always had something to do with rich vs. poor.

But Tree of Heaven was just so nice to watch! it is definitely one of the most sad and touching stories i've seen, even with a common line such as brother/sister love.

My absolute favorite scene is the one where Yunsuh is outside while Hana is inside, behind the glass door and he leans down and kisses her forhead. this scene was just incredibly sweet and PSH and LW did it perfectly! i could feel the love and it LOOKED like he actually DID kiss her, like there was no barrier between them. *faint*

Yunsuh's sooo cute! i love him in there so much, specially with his longer hair!
both the main acted their parts so well!

gosh, the saddest line was how YS said, "If my feet aren't cold, then my heart will feel cold."
Then there's the part he SANG one of the theme songs for her!!! that was just so sweet!
and OMG! i was like crying when i watched the scene where the two of them got hit by the car! that was so friggin painful to watch! T-T

and the soundtrack for TOH is like---> SAD!! there's no other better word. the instrumentals are so tearful! i love the songs, especially 'Letter' !

Anywaz...I loved this drama....yet i think it was a bit too short. I feel like they should have also used a more famous japanese actrist for the maya. I really like the amin two characters tough, its like stair way to heaven all over. The story line was good too, except for the one fact i stated before....they should have mad it longer.

I watched this series on youtube. It's one of my fav drama even tho things happen all the sudden. I didn't really get how that main guy suddenly became a gangster. And that evil cousin suddenly liked him. >.<
The love between him and hana was so romantic. Hana cried too much, and she didn't change much after those few years when she left for japan. She looked so young! This drama made me cry a bit and my mom cry too. I don't regret watching it.

Synopsis

I've watched the whole series overnight. And made me reflect so much.

With just one lie, their fate changes forever. Been imagining of what they might have become if only Hana doesn't hold her true feelings for Yunsuh...

Hana loves Yunsuh so much but her cowardice keeps her from expressing it to him and was also afraid of bringing forth disgrace to the family if they pursue their love together...

If only they had known that their parents had already died two years ago, maybe true love will blossom between the two of them and be together forever...

Maybe, Hana will not experience loneliness and will not suffer so much from her love unspoken, unexpressed...

Maybe, Yunsuh will not become a gang leader which would prevent him from loving Hana again beause he might put her life in danger...

Another tragic love story. So depressing yet still promising that there are still hope for love even two lovers were being separated by death.

I could only hope now that someday, I would see these two great young actors acting in a new series together again with a happy theme. A romantic-comedy maybe and that no one will die in the end and the two of them would live happily ever after.

The beginning was interesting and attracting! But towards the end it became more boring and I had to force myself to watch the last episodes. But the main actor is really cute, I like the face and the cute smile^^

first drama i actually cried so much.... i love this series so much... they are like so young.... lee wan is so hot... i really love him since then....

yes, late i know, but i seriously just finished watching this drama...i cried buckets of tears and even though i found this drama to be so unrealistic at times, i still enjoyed every bit of it...my heart broke for hana and yoon-suh and i hated how yoon-suh died at the end...but lee wan was so freakin' cute...and his eyes were seriously soooo intense throughout the drama

However there are some sad scenes in this drama. I am still waiting for the Cantonese version of this drama! I think the main characters in this drama are very cute together! =D

I just finished "Tree of Heaven" yesterday. Man I was annoyed!
The first 4 episodes were great, awesome, and this drama should be one of my all-time-favourites, but then the CHANGE...
The absolute great lovestory turns into some mafia-drama, and the supercute Lee Wan with his supercool hairstyle changed this hairstyle too. I loved him soooo much with the young and cute hairstyle. I have seen him with other hairstyles too, and they were alright, but the one in the "second part" (after ep 4) was awwwful ... I am sorry, I am a lil bit off topic

Ok back to the Drama... so the beginning was wonderful, and so I already have rewatched it, no I have rewatched the beginning till ep 4, because it was just such fantasticccc!!! I still watched this drama until the end, but not so addicted and excited as in the beginning. To be honest, I think I was too annoyed and angry at the drama after episode 4 to be wholeheartly at watching it. The end wasn´t that sad to me, I just wanted to finish it and watch the beginning again ^^.

And although the second part was.. yeah, you know... I still consider it as worth watching, very touching and adoreable.

Both actors have done a great job, although Park Shin Hye cried in every episode at the smallest thing, but ok.

Oh, I talked a little too much. Sry for that, but I HAVE TO get rid of my opinion about this drama!!

i like the love team of park shin hye and lee wan .. they match all the way long..

it was so sad to see yoon suh oppa to die in this series !! if his step sister never came out looking for him maybe he would have made it since he wouldnt have had to give his heart to her
